Cos why else will they always reply new accounts and not reply old accounts... they don’t reply me again. |

sbashir10: I cannot be in the military and allow you to apply SSC, it is foolishness on my part if I allowed you to join. I am clearly not in support of you joining, if it's DSSC you have my support, but certainly not SSC.
I've been depressed lately, this statement was my immediate elder brother's statement on me joining SSC, he's a member of 58rc, and currently serving in naval wing in NDA.
Reason why I am putting this out is because, I actually needed advice, as I've already given out my application numbers to couples of his contemporaries and other people like that.
Should I apply for DSSC again or I should just allow the wish of God to take place.
Pls I need advice. mhen!!! Nobody can give you the advice you want bro... I think it’s left to you. But your brother is a force to reckon for you.. I think you should talk to him about your dream and passion.. my cousin that we both got 62rc together has told me he would disassociate himself with me if I go for army ssc.. but na me know wetin I dey find.. it might end up badly for me and I might overcome.. but atleast I’ll know I did what made me happy |

spetsnaz: Fact. On paper they're not supposed to, but what is on ground is totally different from what's in the books. DSSC officers in Engineering, AME and Signal Corps are usually the "Unlucky" guys that find themselves leading men for operations. It is not uncommon, infact it's the norm in the northeast there many ungoverned spaces and the army is highly understaffed especially in the officer cadre. As far as this job is concerned only female officers will ever know peace that doesn't still exempt them from being posted to the north east but they will never be drafted to the fronts, they are always in a fortified base and even at that when there is any signal concerning an impeding attack female officers will be evacuated or airlifted while the men will stay and fight. This has being the standard ever since bokoharam captured some female soldiers years ago. Whether DSSC or SSC you are a combatant as far as army is concerned they don't even care if you are a Chaplain or Imam. Who no come no go understand. kai... naso dem go take airlift them leave us Thanks for the insight |

Blueelf: How sure are you about this?
So, you can't instruct a sergeant on what to do (for example)?
Are you really sure? instruct a Sargent to do what in this context? Into senority level you can instruct him to do various things... but at the frontlines, you’d most likely not hold any command position.. keyword.. *most likely not* |

Parisleo: Military job used to be very interesting in the past..but the present Nigeria we are in is something else..no body is trusted, there have been cases of whistle blowers every where...I have an uncle that almost died in battle...he said the most confusing thing is that the boko Haram rare usually ahead of them...they send this poor army guys to the battle and inform the enemies that they are coming...some of the officers are really bittered...I laugh at some guys thinking that been in dssc gives u an advantage...if the enemies attack ur mini camp base, omo u go carry gun to protect ur self, especially if they post u to far north east
Nigeria is not a country worth serving and dying for... experience is the best teacher indeed..it's best experienced though I laugh at that brother that said army is one brotherhood... Na from camp una go dey see nepotism and the rest, they will keep on reposting u to a far north east, especially if u are not from thier tribe and don't have.a God father...they will frustrate u, take away ur joy, some times u will wish to just die self Those generals that will still try to cajole you to take ur mind off the passion knows what they are doing Pity ur mama and wife if u get and look for another direction in.life
Insults to my post are allowed pls nobody go insult you sha but let everybody make decisions they want to abeg... they’ve chosen what they want.. you can pass a message without making it sound like it’s hell Thats waiting for them outside... there’s a lot of tribalistic sentiment to your post and it’s not acceptable here |

SFCommander2: Hmm... Gbogbo first class... Una too much.
I believe if your course is very relevant and you're able to defend your first class (like sikowitz17 already said), that may give you an edge.
But pray you scale through to the interview stage first, where you get to face the board. board go enter am with him first class ehn |

Fifthwave: Good evening soon to be cadets.
I've been following the thread quietly, thank you for keeping us posted. And yet I have a small question. Please, don't misunderstand my question.
What do you guys think of the attitude of the selection board towards first class graduates who make it to the board interview. Do they by any chance factor that? And does it increase your chance even by the smallest margin? I need candid reply, just say it as it is. Actually you carry first class there, you must defend it... they will hit you with questions from every corner to test you! You must be firm.. for I doubt if it has any additional thingy to it.. |

SFCommander2: Is that sf training compulsory or optional? Also, shey na NA go choose unit for guys, or are they at liberty to choose individually? i think they carry all cadets to jaji after training for sf selection.. that’s where officers deliberately fail the exercises lol.. that’s the plan.. if you over show gallantry, you are on your own.. After completion of training, you’ll be asked to choose some preferred corps of your choice but army reserves the right to post you anywhere... when you get to your Corp headquarters, you’ll fall into a unit from there. |

This is to tell you what SSC should expect. Anybody wey because of SF badge go join them make him ready to go northeast straight after SF training at Jaji. You won't know peace. biko I want peace... make sf go sidown |
