Mhen I don’t even know what to think anymore... in saner climates, there’d have been probes to identify the cause Most of these deaths would be avoidable if intelligence gathering was paramount Now the army wants to start court martial for that general that spoke out at the frontlines soon... how long will we continue like this? |

protonz: as you can see from the admission poster, they just got upgraded which means the incoming set would pass out with ND/HND.
Graduates from Nursing sch are usually handed RN which has no academic qualification and therefore can't be used for commissioning.
what most soldiers in the sch do is that they go for post basic Midwifery programme 1½ yrs after the normal RN 3½yrs then they apply for commissioning through DSSC and they are being considered.
The school fees is about 200k+ for civilians including feeding and the sch is run as a typical Nursing sch with restriction of movement. thank you for breaking it down like this.. |

ugo4u: Cotonou graduates dey suffer die for army hand, partly because some people do conjure degree within 2yrs with money. That's why many organisations in Nigeria flag their certificates especially the privately run school. Incidentally na them dey form foreign students pass for NYSC camp, one of my bunkmate back them in camp even came back from Cotonou with American accent lol me too I went there ooo, got in 2011 graduated 2015 but when I went for course 46... I saw they way they were treating us... they had to get a list of accredited unis there to be cross checking... if I had made board ehn, the way they’ll have entered me with questions ehn! |

ugo4u: They don't follow strictly that BSC stuff for nursing, if you have HND especially from that army nursing school in Lagos they'll also accept it. Also if you look at the requirements for Pilots (Helicopter) they said Bsc in rotor wings, I can authoritatively tell you that there is nothing like that. What you have is Helicopter license (PPL/CPL) even in the US piloting is a vocation and not a degree something, that being said anybody that have a valid helicopter license (commercial) will be accepted. Training is usually 18months. Infact if you come to the screening with a helicopter license even if you gatecrash they'll collect you, because is almost impossible for someone with a helicopter license(self sponsored) to fly for the army when he/she will earn double of what an army General will earn if such a person flies for a private Coy. For those that might be surprised to get a commercial helicopter license will cost you about $120,000. This is aside type rating. so Oga sir.. you are categorically saying the school of nursing in yaba issues hND? |

ugo4u: The DSSC guys that were expelled few hours to POP last year are soldiers that forged commanders recommendation. Some were even Buratai boys, but it's like army later forgave them after locking them up for sometime (not too sure). toh that one sef dey... my friends that’s schooled in Cotonu were affected because the person sent to verify the school didn’t make it there.. came back to give one stupid comment about the school.. the army called someone from Abuja to verify the school with the ministry of education and when the person got to nda, he checked and saw that everything was alright but before the cadets finished with her, some officers cake and led them out saying they know the army was at fault but they need to go Cos the report they gave the commandant was that the schools were unverifiable... so they were walked out of the academy.. 6 months into training... I met them again course 46.. if you went to course 46 screening 2nd batch, if you remember that short boy that major ango asked to sit on his head asking why he came back.. he was one of those affected..he’s back in training now |

Mugiwaraluffy: What happened exactly? Can you share the story here for us? last course 45 and DSSC 24... a lot of cadets bundled out of the academy and jaji mainly because of undeclared certifications and fake/unverified degrees from some unis abroad.. I had 2 friends that were expelled from Ssc Cos the army was nonchalant about the uni in Cotonu..in all almost 50 cadets were sent home a day before pop for Dssc and on the same day, expelled from Ssc too.. but my friends are back in training now Cos the army did it unjustly and they went back with proof.. I wish I could send a vn here to explain in details... they will pass out this year. |

Applicants must possess Bsc See for yourselves So putting this into consideration; most of the nurses at nda even are civilians and ncos... at best, the school in yaba will help you get into the army as maybe a lance corporal at best...1 star because you went to college of nursing ah!!

eclipsehemmy: the thing is army recognize graduates from their school of nursing more. So after they graduate they will enroll for dssc and get commission not that they jump into commissioning o, they go through everything we do too , the thing is they have better connect since they school with the military plus they know the right buttons to press. Medical school ojo produces 90% of soldiers that are commissioned as officers in d medical Corp, just get admission there as a soldier, graduate, press button , then the civilians there get to know big men, get to interact, the school is in front of my house so I know they have alot of civilians there and they do everything the soldiers do too, so better understanding and easier route to commissioning unlike their counterparts in University or civilian school of nursing.... I hope we understand small so bro I just want to ask one final question.. what qualification is given to them after they finish from the college of nursing.. it can’t be bsc or hnd or even ond as it’s not a polythenic... so is it the diploma that a civilian will have that he’ll use to apply for Dssc? Or is the the same that’s Dssc worthy even for soldiers? Thank you

You people remember that the army doesn’t recognize any certifications not tendered during recruitment yeah!!! The fact that you have bsc and joined has recruit has nolified your degree and the army would rarely allow you tender it again.. so sojee joined the army 4 years ago as a recruit and he’s in Ssc training now.. toh |

Uniform looked weird as hell I could count 4 buttons on the office wear.. and I’m angry lol |
