Kalapizim: There are special forces and specialised infantry, unfortunately the term special forces is abused in our military with troops on specialised course embracing the tag special forces to feel cool. the main special forces guys usually wear black most times and wear foreign camouflage uniforms at the frontlines! Mostly us marine uniforms |

ugo4u: The weight par say isn't the issue, BMI(Body Mass Index) is the koko i.e The ratio of your weight with respect to height. It must fall within the range of 18 to 25 anything below or above is underweight or overweight. To calculate your BMI divide your weight by the square of your height. oga sir! I think this last screening, they took till 29.9 |

spetsnaz: Guys I have a question. In selecting members of the special forces does the army select only from the infantry corp? or any personnel from other corps like Artillery, Armour, signals etc can be randomly selected. Thanks after your 9 months training in nda, you’ll go for special forces selection screening in jaji! Now the thing I don’t know is if it’s all the cadets they take there or few! Cours en 45 they took all including the female officers. They were in jaji at that time as well but I don’t know if they participated. The female officers and some male officers were selling jobs to the Dssc guys. I’m talking about this Dssc that’s passing out soon |

AirmanB: Does tension also affect this ECG results or it only affects BP? one of the determining factors of a good ECG is the heart beat per minute that’s why they always tell us to calm down and relax well before they start the machine! So yes if you are over excited or tensioned, it’ll most definitely mess with tour heart rate and the result would likely be bad or irregular ECG When I screened for course 45, the man that did it made a mistake and put the left plug on my right chest and the result came out bad! He noticed his mistake and said “let me help you do it again, I was the one that made this mistake” and corrected it and I passed! So it can also be human error |

LtChisom: those people who take hbp suppressants don't know it takes up to a month to start taking. It is ignorance that will make one who will be screened tomorrow of bp to start taking it now, it won't just work, you have to have been taking it for long for the effects to start showing and taking that king of drug for the first time can have a tremendous side effect which can be counter productive to what you want to achieve like it can make your heart cardiogram to have irregular pattern which will affect your other tests. and once your ECG says irregular or Bad ECG, e don finish! They don’t even look twice... |

ugo4u: HBP is the single major health issue that flags down majority of candidates during medicals, I did a lil research on lowering BP and even experimented it and the results were instant and astonishing. Aside Moringa which is also very effective I noticed that Garlic is also very powerful, infact one of the major benefit of Garlic is lowering of BP, it's so effective that it can work wonders in minutes unlike Moringa that may take 1 week to get results though moringa will also crash your sugar level drastically if not controlled your BP may go dangerously low causing another problem for you. But this isn't the case with Garlic. Key ingredients 1) Lemon 2) 2 bulbs of Garlic 3) I glass of Warm water
Preparation Crush the garlic and pour it inside the glass of water for 2mins then squeeze the lemon into the mixture and stir. Take this on an empty stomach, your BP will go down almost immediately. The result is magical. Chewing a glove of garlic 3x a day will also yield same result but the odour and stench from your mouth fit disqualify you If one can prepare this before going for medicals it will shield you from HBP tsunami atleast you can now worry about other things.
Another option is to buy BP suppressant I learnt it lasts for 24hrs, and NA medical team don't test for it, many people that did this scaled through, infact one of NDA regular on this thread used suppressant to escape HBP.
Cavaet Doing this is at one's own risk because you hide your underlying health issues from the medical team to the detriment of your own life.. What I mean is that you may be cleared only for you to go and die during race or even training, there are many instances where people with health issues one way or the other escaped medicals either via connect or using drugs only for them to die during training. So weigh your options properly. this would have helped me in December lol Operation carry garlic to screening Incase anxiety decides to shoot bp up again |

Blueelf: Oga, it doesn't take 4 -5 yrs striaght. Even their special forces don't take more than a year on tour. Show me a source that says their tour takes 4 to 5 years straight . And we are talking about Land military and not Navy. Stop trying to bring the US military to a level of mediocrity to justify the nonsense that the Nigerian Army has become
The US military will take over Nigeria in 5 days max (in the event of an invasion) whatever makes you sleep at night baba! Enjoy |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by sikowitz17: 9:54pm On Jul 01, 2020 |
Blueelf: Incorrect
The US army has 9 week Basic training while the marines train for 13 weeks
After the basic training(boot camp) recruits the proceed to specialized schools for further training. E.g. infrantry, artillery, armour, signals, medical etc
For the US marines however, after the 13 week basic training, all recruits (irrespective of which military arm they will serve under) proceed to the BAsic Infantry school at Quantico Virginia. Hence the marine creed that says " Every US marine is a rifle man"
And even though they suffer losses, it's not as humiliating as that of the Nigerian Army. They have air support and drone surveillance(not toy drones ooo). Also, their soldiers are only allowed a tour of max 9 months after which they go back to see their families(I heard so NA soldiers have been fighting Boko Harm for 5 years straight). The US military sticks to R & R rules for their troops (Rest & Relaxation) to keep them fit and reduce the after effects of PTSD.
Please never ever compare the Nigerian military to the US military. like I said, the is navy basic military training is 6 weeks! Army and marines take longer! And besides a us soldiers tour can last up to 3/4 years as well!! That’s how come soldiers come home and their kids are already 5 years! It’s the same way some officers only serve in maiduguri for 2 years or less and are sent out! Some soldiers are affected by something they call “1bai” I don’t know how to spell it! It’s a situation where a soldier is quickly drafted to the NE for emergencies while it still shows he’s serving in his previous location! If a general shuffle comes and he’s now posted to the NE he has to continue there Cos his posting there just started! I know 2 people that we’re affected by this! Thereby staying there for much longer than necessary

Sometimes you people flaw the Nigerian military too much! Even the almighty us navy and marines still suffer deeply in the hands of talibans. Their basic training is 6 weeks! 6 weeks mhen Cos you are in a hurry to go to Iraq to die! Out military is trying walai! I’ve seen officers and men fight for days without food or water! But no way to push this narrative to the average Nigerian! It’s when our soldiers die that the news carries it! |

SpecialAgent: The way I see it, the terrorists just don't fear the Nigerian Army like they do the BIR or the Chadian Army. thats not true baba! Chad launched 1 offensive!! I this was done inside the Chadian mountains and not Nigeria! They simply cleaned house and it made the news A friend told me that whenever they are on the offensive, the bandits run into the Chadian mountains to hide and they cannot continue pursue cos it’s another country’s problem!! If Nigeria marched troops to that mountain, it’d have been the same result Cos some fractions of boko haram stay there! Our army is still one of them most fared f or ground Attack in AFRICA! You know how many cadets come from sister African countries to do their regular course in nda! The Nigerian navy sbs still trains some countries special forces till date! |

QuadrilAyinde: LET'S ASSUME the Nigerian Army CANNOT AFFORD fighter jets or helicopters that will sweep the area before ground troops arrive. Maybe they have helicopters and fighter jets but don't want to sacrifice them on every mission...there are alternatives!
What are our alternatives?.... DRONES.... Yes, since the government doesn't want to sacrifice the few jets and helicopters we have on ground, we can always use Drones for aerial support.
Again, I'd like to assume the worst case scenario, SO NIGERIA CAN'T AFFORD A DRONE LIKE THE ONE THE USA USED IN TAKING OUT GENERAL SOLEMANI OF IRAN (Armed with Automatic guns, missiles and night vision).
ANY DRONE WILL DO AS LONG AS IT HAS A CAMERA OR CAMCORDER. Since most camera drones are low-cost (believe me I've done my research and found out the prices of these drones range from $50-$3000) and come with their own control stick, anyone can operate these valuable assets.
This way even if the enemy spots the drone, their location would already be given away, leaving them with TWO OPTIONS: SPLIT OR TAKE THE DRONE DOWN. IN ANY EVENT, THE OPERATOR WOULD HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY AND ALERTED THE UNIT, THIS WAY, THEY ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT IS TO COME.
If they have to man defensive positions or reach out to the nearest base for support or backup, they now have the upper hand as the enemy has lost the element of surprise lol bro you want to use commercial drones to do what? Do you know the fly limit of these drones, I have a drone and I can tell you that it won’t do much really and they are basically flying targets with the noise they make while flying! This is my drone that I bought from amazon! You can’t use these for strategic military play! They sell these to kids as toys bro I’ve not even used it in 3 months Cos why!! It’s just to fly and relax!
