Cleopatra was a bit confused on which road to turn, she look to her right, then she quickly remenber what the mother has told her.... She went forward carefully following the paths that leads to umagwu.... She hid the wrapped nilon so when she eventually sees her, she won't notice a thing...
The paths was quiet, so quiet that she thought the gods has favoured her, who will know if someone dies here...
She stopped when she got to umagwu, there were multiple of farms on the other side, which exactly was the farm she is, she keep walking forward scanning her eyes everywhere...
"Where is this girl? She muttered to herself,
She became infuriated when there was no sign of her,where could she be, could she have gone home, that was impossible, they could have met on the way, she was definitely here somewhere except she didn't come to the farm at all, she look around again but nothing was in sight...
She grunts, she decided to go deeper then she heard noise coming from the path she was taking,she hid herself with the leaves, she poke out her eyes there she saw a group of women coming towards her direction..
She exhales and came out of hiding...
She was inclined to ask them if any of thel saw Rita but then she felt she was wasting time, they must be looking for her in the palace.. She was disappointed, greatly disappointed... She brought the knife from the nilon and look at the sharp edges.. Then she kept it back and begin to walk out of the bush.....
Slowly Rita came out from where she has hidden, she inhale deeply, she knew Cleopatra was up to something when she saw her coming, so she has quickly hid her in the nearby thick bushes, thank God she didn't move any further or she could have seem her...
That bitch has actually come to kill her...
"We shall see"She muttered snapping her finger

William drag his feet as he was shown round the palace by the head guard,he scan his eyes round wondering the pleasantries his brother will enjoy if he eventually gets married to the princess...
He wasn't really listening to what the guard was saying but he nodded to everything... He was here for one thing, to escape with the princess but he hasn't even see tge princess yet, all they keep telling him was his position and duties as a guard.. ...
He gritted when he saw a boy and a guard coming their way, he wonder who he was.....
Then he watch the head guard bow to the boy, he wasn't sure who the boy was but he did same, he wouldn't want to jeopardize his opportunity, though it felt awkward bowing down for a small boy..
He watch as the boy nodded and left them...
"Who is he? He ask when he was sure the boy was out of earshot...
"Thats Dillan, the kings younger brother"The head guard replied
"Then why are we bowing to him as if he is the king?
The head guard chulkled... "You don't want to get on his bad side, just bow to him anytime you see him"
"Is he that loathsome....? William ask
"There is no word i can use to qualify him"
William gritted,then he chuckled...
"Anything funny?
"No not at all,am just wondering how one can be so scared of a little boy"
"That little boy can end your life in a second, and nobody will get justice for you, not even the police.... "

The head guard inhaled deeply... "Look, if you hope to last here, just do what you are told, else you will be leaving here with one hand of not none"

The driver grimace in pains as he struggled to creep into a corner, many vehicles have pass by but none refused to help him get to the hospital, he wonder why people were so evil....
He deep his hands in his pocket and brought out his phone, his eyes were blur, he was fading due to his bleeding leg, he scroll through his contact but he wasn't seeing clearly, he was bleeding out and his body was responding to the lost of blood..
He narrow his eyes as a vehicle stopped in front if him....
"What happened to you?The man from the vehicle quickly ask..
The driver didn't say a word, he just point at his injured leg...
He grunts in pains as he manage to find the number he was looking for...
"Armrobbers?the man blared out
The driver dial the number,his breathe became heavy as he waited patiently for it to start ringing ...
"Let me take you to the hospital "The man said as he quickly grab him, then the phone slip from his ears and fell into the floor..
The man gently lift him on his shoulders and took him to his car, then he drop on the backseat...
"My phone"He muttered...
The man quickly ran back, he stare at the ongoing call, he quickly put the phone in his ears..
"Hello"The voice from the othet end sounded..
The man quickly gave the phone to the driver.... When he noticed his hands were shaking, he took it from him And placed it on his ears.
"Hello, he is been shot, am taking him to Mary's memorial hospital, i repeat Mary's memorial hospital "He said and drop the call...
He touch the driver temperature, he was burning up..."Hang in there man.. "He said and rushed into the front seat
The driver gasp for breathe, he was fading, he knew that for a fact, he has lost too much blood.. He try to raise his hands but it wasn't moving, just then he fell unconscious..

She took a deep breathe, then she dial Steve number again, still he didn't pick...

She exhales as she walk to the reception...

Fear engulfed Adesa as the bushes waved, what was wrong with her, since she felt she saw something run pass her, she hasn't been herself....
She fixed her arrow on the bow as she cling to Katherine side...
"All the animals seems to be hiding... "Katherine said jokingly
"Maybe they know we are coming"Adesa replied and they both burst into laughter
"Could it be we took the wrong path? Katherine ask..
Both girls shiver as they heard a faint growling soundin the bush..
"What is that? Adesa ask feeling scared
"An animal... "Katherine replied as she scan her eyes around but there was a sign of it..
"Where is it? She ask anxiously as she held her bow firmly
Great fear seize Adesa as she caught glance of it.... "There" she blared out..
Katherine turn her gaze to where she was pointing... She shiver in her spines as she saw it...
She streched the string until she couldn't anymore then she released it and the arrow fired out...
"You missed it.. "Adesa said as the arrow went deep into the bushes...
"It ran before you even released the arrow"Adesa added
"He is clever"Katherine replied
"What is that? Adesa ask curiously still trembling with fear..
"Its a Savannah dog"Katherine replied
"A bush dog.. "Adesa blared out with a trembling mouth
Fear rip both girls as the dog dive out from the bush and landed on Katherine sending her to the ground and making the arrow fall from her hand...
Katherine tried to fight it off but the bush dog growl at her sending spits and gums over her face...
"Shoot it.... "Katherine shouted..
Heart pounding, feet shaking, with great fear pounding her spines, she shot the arrow at it but there was no force....
The dog wavered and ran into the bush...
"Princess"Adesa shouted and ran to her side..
Katherine gasp for breathe as she try to stand, then they hear the growling sound again, fast approaching towards them..
"Run.. "Katherine muttered

Chief Mayo groan as he cling Clarrisa picture to himself, she reclined his back on the chair, all his years of labour wasted, there was no one to reap every fruit of his labour....
"Clarrisa, why do you have to leave me... "He muttered..

He didn't reply... He just continue thinking of what the future holds for him..

Rita inhaled deeply as she walk into the house, she was a bit scared but she was willing to teach that stupid girl a lesson, she can't mess with everyone and go free..

Chief Mayo stood up and walk up to her... "What is it young girl?
Rita grunts, she hesitated a bit but she have to do it, she was here and there was no turning back, she is going to pay Cleopatra back in her own coin... "I know who killed your daughter.. "

William drag his feet as he was led into the throne room by one of the guards,he couldn't help but look around, the palace was an empitone of beauty, he look straight and there he saw him, the person he thought might be the king sitting comfortably on the throne, sitting on the people's wealth and leaving the people to suffer....
"Your majesty"The guard said and bowed...
William bow with the guard, then he watch him shift aback... He gritted as the king focus his attention on him...
"So what did you say you want?Desmond ask
William exhales, the stupid things you do to get the love of a brother, a brother he abandoned.... "Your majesty... "He blared out and immediately sat on his knees then he bow his head to the floor... "Help me with a job your majesty.. "He added
"A job! Desmond queried
"Yes your majesty, you are the only one i can turn to"
"What kind of job?
William grunts, what sort of stupid question is that, what kind of job can a full grown man like him possibly have in the palace.... "A job as a palace guard sir"
Desmond hissed... "Stand up, you have the job"He wonder why some people will be searching for a job as a palacr guard when there are so many good jobs out there, this one certainly has no future ambition...
"Thank you your majesty... "William blared out, that was fast, he actually thought they will drain him dry with questions.... It was so so easy, now he has to make the next move.. He has to meet the princess...

Sonia sigh as she stare out from the windscreen, she watch as the bushes swept by as if they were waving at them, she turn her gaze to Steve who was driving the car, she knew Steve wasn't happy with her decision, she was confused and out of options, all her plans seems to be falling right before her but she knew something for sure, the chief is going to pay for what he did to her and her family ,she wonder why the chiefs chose a different location for the meeting instead of their normal point of rendezvous, She knew the business proposition was just a way for her to see Carlos now she was beginning to regret that decision, she should have found another way, this business deal was choking her plans....
She was inclined to talk to Steve but she already know what he will say.
"You are making a big mistake"she inhaled deeply as the words rang in her head, what if she is, what if there was another way, a simpler way to go about this and still retrieve what the chieg have collected from her..
She wasn't strong as she thinks, she was scared, very scared of what might happen if the chiefs eventually find out she isn't Darius daughter....
She took her gaze off Steve, she need to be strong, the words her mother use to say to her quickly creep in her head....her mother had told her to be strong, For fear is not real, the only place fear exist is in our thoughts of a future,a product of our imagination ,causing us to fear things that are not present and may not ever exist...
She took a deep breath, she wave off the thought, there was no place for skepticism and fear in her heart, only possibilities... She is going to make that murderer pay....

FRANCIS couldn't help the fear that swept through him each step he takes and go further into the bush, though he was with Vuga but he was defenseless,he was hanging on a thread, he could fall anytime a wind comes, he stare at Vuga who was moving in anticipation, if danger comes, Vuga will just run away leaving him to be a victim of the danger...
"I don't think we will find any other animal, you should have killed that deer we sad earlier.. "Francis said with fear running through his spines..
Vuga didn't reply,he just scan his eyes around, he can't let his sister win this time, that will a disgrace that he won't be able to get off easily...
Francis exhales as Vuga keep pressing forward, he look back, wondering how far they are awy from the guards, if danger comes and he screamed, he wonder if they will hear..
He shivered as he heard the chirping sound coming from the bushes, he should have stayed at home the moment Vuga refused to let him ride his horse with him, why did he come...
He begin to drag his feet, not inclined to move any further....
He begin to mumble words to himself that he didn't know when he step his feet on creeping grass... He lost his balance and fell to the floor...
"What in the name of all that is stupid do you think you are doing? Vuga blared out
"Sorry"Francis muttered as he try to stand up
"Fall again and i will leave you there to die"Vuga said infuriated
Francis wipe off the dirt frol his body... "This is fruitless, we have been working around this bush for God knows how long and yet no sign of a squirrel let alone a big animal... "
"That is because you have been chasing all the animals away with your noise, your mumbling sound and your stupid falls"Vuga said back
"And guess what if i don't kill a big animal today, am going to make you one"Vuga added infuriated
"Am not an animal... "Francis muttered

CLEOPATRA look around,she hesitated then she realise it was the only thing to do, she hid the knife on the black nilon she was holding..
She walk into the compound, the compound was quiet she wonder if Rita was in, she decided to find out, she knock on the door,she waited a few seconds but no reply came, then she knocked again this time harder tgan the first, then she heard a voice replied from inside...
She waited patiently for the person to come out..
It wasn't long before she saw a woman ....
She sigh as she realized it was her mother....
"Good morning ma"She said with clenched teeth..
"Good morning my daughter. "The woman replied
"Please ma, is Rita in? She ask anxiously
"Is anything the matter? The woman ask..
She made a faint smile.. "No ma, there is no problem, am her friend from the palace, i just wanted to see her"
"I sent her to the farm to fetch vegetables for me, you can wait for her or you can go there to see her, is not far from here...its very close to umagwu"
"No problem, there won't be any need for that, i will just come some other time"She said with smile beeming on her face...

Sonia quickly turn around... "Chief, i didn't know you were still around "
"I was about to leave but then i saw you here"
"I can't find my bodyguard anywhere, he is supposed to drive me to the hotel"
Chief Buzo was inclined to ask if what Carlos discovered was true but that will be stupid.. "Sometimes this bodyguard behaves like crazy people... Come i will drop you off"
"No thank you chief, i think he just drove out to get something"
"Am not leaving you here alone"
She wonder where he must have gone to.. "Is chief Carlos gone? She ask anxiously
"Yes, he drove out minutes ago"
"With his thugs? She ask afraid of the possibility of her thought
"No, he came with only his driver.... Come here,i will take you to the hotel"He said as he hold her hand..
Fear swept through Sonia, hope it isn't what she is thinking.... She followed Chief Buzo to his car

The driver gasp for breathe then he furiously came down from the car..
"What is wrong with you? The driver shouted...
He move closer then he begin to hit the windscreen of the car.. "Are you mad"He said furiously...
Steve quickly came down from the car...
"You are an animal"The driver shouted aggressively..
Steve didn't hesitate, he pulled the trigger and shot his leg..
The driver shouted and collasped on the floor as the bullet hit him, he grimace in pains..
Not paying attention to him, Steve walk to Chief Carlos car, he opened the back seat....and there he was sitting comfortably "Hi Chief"
Carlos chulkled... "Sonia's bodyguard,what can i do for you..?
Steve gritted, infuriated.... "This.. "He said and hit his Carlos head hard with the back of the gun..
Carlos fell unconscious as blood begin to drop from his head..
Steve quickly drag him down from the car and carried him into his shoulder....
"Boss" the driver shouted from the floor, he tried to stand and stood with one leg but he fell down back..
Steve opened the car truck of his car, then he drop Carlos in..
The driver held his leg... "You are not taking my boss anywhere"He said as he hold Steve trouser tightly....
Steve was furious, he pushed him away, then he shot his second leg
"Jesus.. "The driver shouted as he collapsed to the ground one more time...
Steve stare at Carlos one more time... "Lets go settle some scores"He said with anger flashing through his eyes, then he closed the car boot, he went in,start the engine and zoom off...

FRANCIS slowly opened his eyes, what greeted him was the bright light beeming from the window, he wonder how long he has slept, his eyes were heavy, he wad still feeling sleepy, the previous day has really be hectic for him, he was glad, glad King Jafar has finally gone to wherever he came from, he sigh a sigh of relief..
He wioe his eyes with his hand, then he rolled them around... He scoff when he saw Vuga still sleeping, spreading his legs and hands on the bed..
"Selfish"He muttered
The idiot couldn't even ask him to come sleepover on the bed, the bed was big enough to accommodate more than three people but he chose to sleep there alone..
He scoffs at the idea, he was a servant it is very impossible for his thoughts to be granted especially from a person like Vuga..
He close his eyes back, reclining his back on the thick weave material he was sleeping on, since the idiot was still sleeping, he decided to continue with his as well...
He open his eyes when he realise the sleepy eye wasn't there anymore...
Then the thought of the princess creep into his head, he has dreamed about her, he dreamed about making out with her..

He quickly stood up when the knock came again, he packed his bed and placed it in a corner, then he dragged his feet to the door, he was inclined to ask who was knocking.....
But when the knock sounded again, it totally escaped his mind as he rushed and unbolt the door..
His heart skip when the door flung open,
"Sweet Jesus.. "He muttered faintly as he stare at her, he felt the urge to touch her but it will be stupid to do so..

She was average in height and certainly not the fashioned type like a catwalk model, but in her ordinariness she was stunning. Was her mind playing games on her, she must have thought of the things she did too much... Her mind was beginning to play reality... Her thoughts has become dream, she fear it will become a reality....
Since the chief hasn't come to the palace it means Rita hasn't told him yet, she needs to stop her before she tells him, she won't die, she wasn't ready to die.. She must stop Rita from bringing death to her doorstep, and she will do it no matter what it takes, even though it means killing her...
If she is going to be free from the torment of her thoughts, Rita needs to die.. And she is prepared to kill her...

So the tall one was Roli, he thought to himself.... He look around, the ministers, and the two kings were busy laughing and muttering words within themselves....
He stare at the alcohol in his hands, he smell it, it smelled good, he quickly pour a bit of it in his mouth....
He lick his lips at the sweet tase of it, without hesitation he poured another one in his mouth not stopping till he got tired of swallowing.... Vuga was right, the drink has a way of making someone feel good......
His head ache for more of the drink, he knew it will be disastrous if he had too much but the drink was tempting..... He drank a bit of it again....

THE LONG awaited day finally arrived, Francis wonder why Vuga will bring him along, he has foolishly followed him without daring to ask where they were going, but when he saw the king, Gary and the ministers, he knew something was wrong,... He watch as everyone stood waiting anxiously for something.... What they were waiting for or who... He have no idea and he dared not to ask.....
He noticed King Dafuda's expression,his face seem angry as he stare into the open field....
He rolled his eyes at the rest, thinking of who they might be waiting for, why were they there.....
Fear swept through as he equals the odd of the possibility of his thoughts... What if this is the war...
But only a few guards came with them, and a few guards can't go to war except they plan to fail....
"Do you think he is coming? King Dafuda ask anxiously...
Gary knew for a fact what his father was thinking, he was thinking the same, what if King Jafar deceived them, and ambush them when they least expected....
"Lets.... "Gary stop his statement as he saw them approaching from afar... Their horses mount dusts as they stumble their foot on the ground....
"Do you think this is a trap...? Gary ask his father who was fusing his attention on the people coming towards their direction.....
"I don't see him anywhere"King Dafuda reply as he search for King Jafar in the front line....
"But whatever it may be, make sure the warriors are at alert.. We must prepare for the unknown..... "King Dafuda added
Kabina and Uda stood together...Kabina flex his fingers as he watch the other people drew closer to them.
"The was foolish to accept this... "Kabina muttered to Uda...
"Isn't this what we wanted.... Peace"Uda replied...

A STRANGE fear grow in Francis as he saw the mighty men racing their horses towards them.. ..he wonder who they were, what do they want, what was going to happen....
Fear raced all over him as this questions keep ringing in his head... He stare at Vuga, he wonder if he was scared the way he was, but there was nothing different about him, he had that same expression he always have on....
He watch as some of the ministers murmur words within themselves, King Dafuda and Gary stood alongside eathother... Who were this men that were coming....
The men in the front line were dressed in warriors uniform with swords and different designs of cutlasses hung in the waist band of their trouser... Their faces were painted with different colours....
"I see he brought his best warriors to show off in our faces"King Dafuda said infuriated
Gary scoffs at his father's remark....
"We shouldn't have early, we look like fools waiting for this little boy"King Dafuda added
Francis watch in fear as the men in the frontline partrol their horses in front of them rooting dust everywhere.....
"Who are this people.... "He muttered behind Vuga back...
Vuga turn his gaze to him, then he look away...
Francis sigh, sigh at the embarrassment... It was stupid of him to ask, he knew for a fact he wouldn't answer.... He was just an idiot...
"That's king Jafar"Vuga said not looking at him...
Francis bulge out his eyes as the name rang in his head, Jafar, the same man they wanted to go to war with... The same man he has heard stories about, stories that tells of his ruthlessness..... The man worst than the devil.....
"Are we at war? He ask anxiously...
Vuga turn his gaze at him, then he scoffs at his question.. "This is a peace treaty. "
"Oh....! Francis exclaimed...
He watch the men patroliing their horses stop, then a man on red gown and black ropes around his waist rode a horse from their midst....
He knew immediately that could be king Jafar since he was the only one wearing a crown.... His appearance collides with his reputation, his face was rugged, scars filled his face, evidence of a man who has killed many....
He watch as the man came down from the horse and begin to walk towards them....
"You are late? King Dafuda said infuriated.....
"And you are early, which i didn't expect from the famous king Dafuda"King Jafar retorted as he came face to face with him
King Dafuda groan in embarrassment, regretting the reason he was so early....
"Your son.... "King Jafar said drooling his eyes on Gary... "He was still a toddler the last time i saw him, i see he has grown to become such a fine man......"
"And you too my good friend"King Jafar added tapping Dafuda on the hand
"Are you here for peace or you are here for war? Dafuda ask anxiously as his rolled to Jafars men...
Jafar gritted"You know the saying, a man who has so many enemies should always take caution...even when stepping on the ground, because even the sand might turn against you, am not here for war but peace as earlier discussed in the letter my ambassador gave you"
Dafuda has akways know Jafar to be tricky, who knows this might just been his way to ambushed them, but whatever it may be, they are ready...
He waited for King Dafuda reply, when he gave none, he chuckled and continue..."Come on... If i wanted to kill you all, i would have done without me even seeing me.. Trust me you won't know where the arrows will come from... "
"You are standing on Mogula soil, if i were you, i will mind my tongue...."King Dafuda retorted
"I am standing on the boundary.... "King Jafar corrected
"Come on, lets not dwell in our past problems, we are brothers now"He added

"But we will once the agreement is sealed"Jafar said

Gary knew his father was getting furious and if he isn't stopped he might this peace treaty, what if Jafar was really serious in signing a peace treaty, his father will be ruining that, ruining the opportunity to stop a war from happening.... He tap his father on the shoulder....
Jafar motioned for the ambassador to come out, the ambassador brought a scroll, Jafar Exhale shapily as he unfold the scroll, he signalled one of his men to come forward... He collected a dagger from him and drew a tiny cut on his palm.... He grimace as blood began to gushed out slowly....
"I swear with my blood.... "He said then he touch the scroll with his blood....
Jafar sigh,then he remove a dagger that was tuck to his trouser and cut his palm as well....
"I swear with my blood"he said as he touch the scroll with his blood....
"Brothers..... "Jafar blared out as they shook hands with their bleeding palm

COLD CHILLS swept through Rachael as she came down from the car, she scan her eyes round the palace, then those painful memories that have eluded her begin to run back into her head,she sigh as she drag her feet hesitantly to follow Claude, she wonder if Claude knew who killed Raphael,she was inclined to ask her but she felt she wouldn't tell, she wonder why they have refused to tell her who the killer is, and who was dead...
She folded her arms as she walk alongside Claude....
"Are you okay? Claude ask as she study her expression.....
Was she okay, it was very obvious she wasn't, how can she be okay after she witness the dead of the most important person in her life, how can she be okay knowing the fact that he died as a result of the food she gave him, she killed him....
She nodded shabbily to the question..... Inclined to ask her what she has been holding... Ask her who did it, and why is the murderer dead....
"Look i know you think everything was your fault but it wasn't ok"Claude said sympathetically
"Who poisoned the food? Rachael blared out not knowing when the words fell from her mouth....
Claude exhales then she look away, she quickly remenber what Kess has told her, "Dont tell her yet"...she bit her lip as the words rang in her head, but what was the need hiding it, sooner or later she was going to find out ...

Her hair was shitty, her face grimaced, her wrists injured from the effects of the chain..

She try to speak but words escape her,she just gasp for breathe.....

Her eyes have frozen over like the surface of a winter puddle, robbing them of their usual warmth....
She wanted to tell her that all hope wasn't lost... She was inclined to set her free but she cant, she was a slave herself, a pawn and a sex doll to the chief....

"Sam... "She muttered faintly...

All hope of getting your freedom was certainly lost... She knew for a fact her fate has be sealed... She is just waiting for the day.. He will let her go....
"Please, i beg you, eat something... "She pleaded
She exhales, she was no longer in the mood of eating... She was passionate for revenge and that passion has kept her alive.. Not the food... Her soul seeks for the death of the murderer of her family, her life ruiner, her worst nightmare, her captor....
Samantha try to raise her up but she was adamant....
"The chief will kill me if he finds out you aren't eating.... "She said sepulchrally...
The last thing she need was someone taken beatings because of her, she struggled as she try to sit up... Samantha quickly rush to her side and helped her up...
Samantha sniff at the unpleasant odour protruding from her hair.... But she didnt show it, instead she rub the hair with the tip of her fingers... Then she gave her a spoonful of the food....
She swallowed hard as she gaze into the air, then her eyes rolled to the block at the entrance......
"How is the chief? She ask highly infuriated, she wasn't blinking, with eyes wide open she waited patiently for a reply...
Samantha wonder why she was asking for the chief, a man who has put her in this situation, a man who has ruined her life and lock and chain her up like an animal...
She didn't reply, instead she took another spoonful full to her mouth but she pushed it aside as the chains made a chirping tingling sound...
Fear seized Samantha as she saw the rage in the queen's eyes......she wonder what she was thinking.... No matter what her thoughts is, she is nothing when she is a slave to evil itself........
Samantha watch her as she touch the chains on her wrist, she grope her eyes on the chains......

She turn to face him... "Its time we step up our game"
Steve scoffs... "Is obvious you don't get what i have been saying... We are broke Sonia, sooner or later we won't have any money to pay for this room,my suggestion still stands, let kill that bastard when we still have the chance.... "
"Just putting a bullet in his head will be too easy,he will suffer, he will pay slowly for every blood that drops from my father's body when he died, every tear my mother and i shed, he will pay, because am going to make him a living dead... "
"Like i said, we are broke"Steve reminded her as he lit the cigarette in his hand.

Heart pounding, the boy gasp for breathe as he ran to the background,fear engulfed him as he heard noises,he look back and realise it was just the chirping sounds of birds, where they indirectly whispering to him what he wants to do... But the chief have offered him a lot of money,money that could change his life within seconds and finally make him the big boy he has always hoped for... He scan his eyes,he sigh, a sigh of relief when he saw no one, he quickly dip his hand on his pocket, he drool his hand around then he brought out the small complimentary the chief have given him out, he stare at the number... With hands shaking he took out his phone from the other pocket and began to dial the number.... He quickly put it on call, heart racing fast, he waited for the call to ring... He sigh when it finally started ringing....
"Hello.... "A voice answer from the other end...
"He.... Lll... "The boy stammered...
"Hello... "He said again with a bit of confident..
"Hello chief"He added eagerly waiting for him to speak up...
Great fear seized him when the phone was grab from his ears, he quickly turn around, he wanted to run, get away from him as fast as he can but he felt it will be stupid... He quickly remenber he has overheard them said something about a gun, what if it was true he has a gun.. What if....
"Where you talking to the chief? Steve ask infuriated
The boy shiver in his spines as his phone begin to ring again....
Steve stare at the caller, then he turn his furious eyes at the boy....
The boy's heart raced to a stop as Steve brought out the gun from underneath his T-shirt....
"Answer it... "He said with anger in his tone as he gave him the phone...
"Tell him you just called to say hello... "He added pointing the gun to his head...
The boy collected the phone with shaking hands, the only gun he has seen was the guns in movies, he has always hoped to see one in reality, but he didn't expect to see it like this, he felt like his heart was burging out of his chest...
"You tell him what you heard and i will blow your tiny brain out... "Steve said
His words sent shivers to the boy's spines..the biy look around hoping to see someone, someone to stop this madness, someone to save him from the hands of death but there was no one in sight, not even the launderer that do come to the backyard to wash... Just then he realise he has made a foolish mistake coming to call the chief here....
He shook in fear as the phone vibrated in his hands again, he couldn't think clearly, couldn't talk, all his head was fixed on was the gun that was pointed at him....
Hands shaking he answered the call.... "Hello... "He said faintly......
"Who is this... ?The voice sounded from the other end
The boy was speechless, he look at the gun, then the man who was holding it, he wasn't smiling, he knew for a fact if he messed up, he can pull the trigger..... "Its Noah chief, the boy that works in the hotel.... "
"Noah.... ,have you find out anything about her yet?The voice from the other end sounded..
Steve signalled him to put it on speaker and the boy obeyed....
"No sir, i just called to tell you this is my number... "
"Okay, just do a good job over there and i will reward you handsomely... "The voice sounded...
"Thank... Y.. O.. U sir"The boy replied shabbily....
Steve collected the phone when the call drop dead, he try to remember Carlos voice, he grunts when he remenbers how he talks, the voice on the phone doesn't look anything like Carlos voice, he stare at the boy then his gaze met the card in his hands...
Without hesitation he forcefully collected it from his hands.... His eyes bulge out as he stare at the name, it wasn't Carlos...
"Did he pay you to spy on us"He said faintly not to arouse attention...
The boy nodded as fear prick his spines...
"Why... Why did he ask you to spy on us...?
The boy's heart raced to a stop as the words from his mouth rendered him speechless.......
"i don't know... "He replied after a second of silence.... "He only said he will pay me well if i should report everything you discuss in your room... "he added with shaking mouth
Steve knew blabbing words with the boy wont take them anywhere, they have more bigger problems than Carlos...
"You are going to go in slowly, you will continue working and pretend nothing happened.... Do you understand...? He blared out..
The boy nodded in fear...
"Dont think i won't find you if you run away or stop this work, no matter where you think you will hide, i will find you and put a bullet in your brain, do you understand.... "
"Yes sir.. "He replied with shaking mouth regretting his actions, what was he thinking, this men are dangerous, now he is caught in the web of a dangerous game, a game he won't be able to leave, to walk free from...but he knew something for sure, he was done helping the chief, its better to stay alive than dead.... He wasn't ready to die yet....
"Go... Now"Steve blared out...
Steve watch as the boy ran without looking back, he scan his eyes around, when he saw no one, he tuck in the gun in his trouser band, adjusted hiq T-shirt to cover it well, he look at the card again,then put it into his back pocket and walk away from there...

Sonia was extremely unsettled, how could this be, she fear what her fate will be if Carlos learnt the actual reason she was there, what if Steve didn't catch the boy before he passes the information...
Shock swept through her as the door flung open....
"Did you catch him... "She ask anxiously as she gasp for breathe still recovering from the shock...
Steve lock the door with the key, he drop the gun on the table...
Cold chills entered her spines as she doubt the possibility of her thoughts..."Did you kill him?
He didn't reply instead he brought out the card and placed it on her hands... "That is who ask him to spy on you"Steve said infuriated..
Eyes wide open she stare at the name in the card...
"Chief Ayo"She muttered in shock....
"But what have i done to him have him ask someone to spy on me?She ask anxiously...
"You became a suspect the day you propose that shitty business deal... "Steve blared out..
"He doesn't believe am Darius daughter.... "She interjects..
"If he is suspecting,what makes you think the others aren't.......You aren't the one playing with their head, they are playing with yours"...
Legs shaking, she sat on the bed.... "They are not as stupid as we thought... "She muttered faintly
Steve exhales, then he wipe the sweat that was falling from his face away... "What did you expect, because you said you are Darius, they will threw out their money into a business like that... "
Sonia inhale shapily, Wondering how things turn out to be like this...
"The problem is, we don't only have Carlos to worry about... But the eight of them.. "

"I only came out when i heard the screams"She added shabbily...
Desmond exhales as he remenber the embarrassment Chief Mayo put him through hours ago... He glared at Cleopatra then he furiously left the room...

He scoffs when he lie on the bed and then quickly sit up, he turn away his gaze when he turn to face him....

Francis didn't respond he just fixed his gaze on the door, he wasn't sure if the question was directed to him, even if it was, why would he answer such a question after the warning he has given him...

Francis exhales, then he turn to face him... "I thought it was a rhetorical question.... "

"We understand your plight Mayo, but drinking yourself to stupor isn't going to bring her back"Chief Joseph interjects
"You need to put yourself together, we will support you in anyway we can"Chief Ayo added
"I don't need your support.... "Mayo blared out, then he turn his dark stare at Carlos... "Are you aware your son killed my daughter.... "
Some if them were shocked by the statement, they turn thier gaze at Carlos...

The painful memory of watching his daughter corpse been carried into the van creep into his head....

Mayo grab the bottle of whiskey and drank a bit from it, he scan his eyes round the house, he has nothing left, all his wealth are for nothing, all he has achieved are for nothing, he was all alone, what is he still living for, with anger in his eyes, he smashed the bottle on the floor..
The bottle broke immediately sending parts of it scattered everywhere....

"A gun!She exclaimed with shock
"Whose gun is this? She ask anxiously...
Steve look away then he turn to face her back... "Its mine"he replied shabbily
"Who gave you a gun...?
Steve gritted as he thought of what to say to her... "I collected it from a Friend...."
"A friend from the cartel, do you still work with the cartel?
She waited for his reply, but none came.... "I believed you when you said you were clean, all this years you have been lying to me"She said infuriated

"Then why do you have a gun?Sonia blared out
He furiously throw the cigarette on the table.... "What do you think, sooner or later the chiefs are going to find out that everything you have been telling them is nothing but a bunch of lies, that gun is for our protection when the inevitable comes"

His breathe grew heavier as anger overwhelmed him, he quickly took the gun from her hand... "This revenge is going to end here"He retorted...
He tuck in the gun in his trouser and covered it with the T-shirt he was wearing...
"Where are you going...? Sonia ask anxiously as Steve begin to walk to the door
"Doing what we should have done since the first day we arrived here... Putting a bullet in Carlos head"
"No no... Steve... "She shouted as she jump from the bed..
With anger flashing through his eyes, he pushed the door open....
His eyes burge out as a boy who was leaning his ears on the wall fell down as the door flung open...
"Am sor......ry, so sorry..."The boy said with shaking mouth then he quickly stood up and run....
"Oh my God,he was eavesdropping,he heard everything we said"Sonia muttered still shocked at what just happened ....
"Do you know who he is? She ask anxiously
"He is on the worker's uniform, he is a worker here"
"Could Carlos have sent him to spy on us...? She ask doubting the possibility of it...
"Probably....,which is why we are going to get to him before he passes any information..... "
"If he is working for Carlos, it means we are too late to stop him, he is gone..... "

Francis was so scared. He knew it was dumb to be scared, but he couldn't help it. Problem was that he always over thought every damn thing.....

Francis shiver as the words ring in his head.... Why does he always put himself in trouble, he knows very well who Vuga is, how stupid he can be yet he did things that always tend to upset him....

Francis took a deep breathe, he glance at his furious eyes, he wonder how he can get upset over little things....

Vuga was distracted by Adesa's chulkle,he turn his gaze at her but the anger in his eyes quickly faded away, he should be angry, he knows that for a fact, no one makes fun of him and go free, but the anger in him quickly melted away as he watch bow her head... He sigh then he turn his gaze to his sister... "I don't act like an animal... "

He frown when he heard a car horn, why must a car always come whenever he sits down to relax.. He stood up shabbily and drag his feet to the gate, he stare from the tiny hole in the gate, his heart skip as he saw whose car it is...
Without hesitation he quickly open the gate and the car drove in...

Buzo immediately pulled off his clothes, he check his wardrobe confused on what to wear, he quickly grab a jean and a T-shirt... He sigh as his phone begin to vibrate on the bed, he stare at the caller, he hissed... Why would Carlos be calling him when....
He quickly pick up the phone,he hesitated, then he felt the call might be important, he quickly answered it....
With a sad phone he droo the phone after the call went dead, he quickly put on the jean and the T-shirt,put some money in his pockets, grab his car keys and quickly headed downstairs......
"Sonia dear... "He said as he breathe heavily...
"Am really sorry i won't be able to spend time with you as we have planned... "he added
"What happened?She ask anxiously
"One of our friends daughter just died... "He replied with clenched teeth....
"Oh my God, am so sorry... "
"I think i will take you to the hotel... "
"Sure"She said standing up...
"Father i can take her there... "Jacob interjects..
Buzo wink at him...
"You seem to be in a hurry, i can take her to the hotel.. "
"I will drop her off"Buzo snapped....
"See you.. "Sonia said as he kiss Jacob in both cheeks..
Buzo felt a bit jealous but he didn't show it, instead he smile when she turn towards him...
"Shall we...?
She nodded and they walk out of the house to the car....

It was few minutes later when they got to the hotel, the driver stop the car at the gate.....
"Am really sorry i ruined our day... "Buzo said
"Its nothing chief, i understand... "She kissed him on the cheek and slowly came down from the car...she watch as he drove off, then she saw another car coming from inside...
She exhales as the car stopped beside her, she tossed her hair to a corner as she recognize who is in it.....
The car backseat screen slowly wined down so she can takea better view of who was inside....
"Sonia... "Odumodu said from inside the car...
She was tired of hil pestering her about, their business became over the moment she got to meet her parents murderer...
"Hey chief, how are you...?
"I called you several times, you aren't picking my calls... Was that chief Buzo car that just drove off.. ?Odumodu ask anxiously a bit jealous...
"Yes, we were just discussing business... "
"I know.... But don't get too close to him, i heard he has contagious infections.."
"That is gross"She replied with clenched teeth.....
"Where are you heading to? She ask changing the topic, she wasn't in for any chit chat conversation, she needed to fulfill her aim of coming here, and the sooner she do that, the better, this chiefs are just pawns to her game...
"You know Chief Mayo right.... The dark one?
Sonia nodded shabbily, she didn't know him, she knew that for a fact, she knew them by face maybe but certainly not by names....
"He lost his daughter today, so we are heading there... "
"Am so sorry... "She muttered
"Why don't you hop in,lets go together..... ?
"I would have love to chief but i have a slight headache and u need to rest... "
Odumodu nodded... Then he scan his eyes around... "Where is your bodyguard...?
"I told him to rest, since i felt i will be save with the chief..."
"Do you realise you are a precious asset, the bad goons in this community won't hesitate to kidnap you if they know who you are, never gi anywhere without your bodyguard... "
She nodded shabbily....
"I guess i will see you when i come back"He said..
She replied with a smile,
He smile back, turn up the windscreen and drove off..
Sonia sigh, a sigh of relief, then she quickly walked to the reception............

Desmond couldn't believe what he was seeing, he has always wished for her to leave him alone but never has he wished her dead.... He wonder who could have killed her then it occurred to him..... He growled as he thought of the possibility of it...
Claude sniff as a tear roll from her eye, all she wanted was for the poor guard to get justice for his death,it was never her intention for the queen to die, she wipe away the tear,she felt pity for the chief, he was crying like a helpless baby......
"Thank you"Kess muttered as he ended the call, he pitied the chief,he understand what it means to lose an only daughter.... He sniff as he watch the chief cling his dead daughter to himself...
"Who did you call? Philip muttered from behind him..
"The ambulance... "
"Am not sure the chief is going to allow anyone touch her body"
"She is dead"Kess replied as he wink his eyes at him..
"Who did you think killed her?
Kess exhales at the sound of the question, he wonder why there is so much murder in such a small town, who could have killed her, he quickly remenber the chief was furious with the king earlier... The only thing he could detect from their argument was that the king had issues with his daughter.... If he had listened closely to their argument instead of been so much focused on arresting the queen.. Maybe he could have gotten a clue on whoever killed her.....
"I really have no idea"he muttered
"Is it possible she killed herself...? Philip ask anxiously
Kess scoffs at the sound of the question... He walk closer to the chief..... "Am really sorry for your loss sir but i think you should let go now"
Chief Mayo didn't reply instead he held his daughter closer to himself....."My baby girl will come back to me. "he muttered in tears..
Kess sigh, he let him be and walk to where Desmond was standing....
"I think you have a murderer in your palace"he said faintly....
Desmond didn't reply, he just groan and walk away...
Kess watch as some of the maids begin to cry, he watch their expression, some leaning their head on others.... Could any of them be the murderer....

Few minutes later the ambulance arrived, just as philip had said, the chief didn't allow anyone touch his daughter but her body was waxing cold, the other policemen that came with the ambulance held the chief tightly as the nurses covered her body and carried her into the ambulance......
"Clarrisa...... "he blared out, the policemen release him as he collapsed on his knees.......
"You should put yourself together chief"kess said when he got tired of his persistent whimping, he thoughts the chiefs were cold-hearted, he never imagined they can cry like this over the lost of a loved one....
"She is gone"Kess added with clenched teeth..
He exhales when the chief stood up from his knees, he watch him walk away......
"Do you think he will be okay? Philip ask
"He will... "
"So since who we came to arrest suddenly turned up dead, should we still go ahead in finding her killer?Philip ask
Kess sigh, what was the point searching for her killer, she killed someone, she got punished for what she did....
"No... "he muttered
"Excuse me...... "

"You shameless king, you killed my daughter..... "Chief Mayo hollered
Fear grip Desmond as he saw the rage in his eyes.
"I didn't kill her"Desmond said back...
Infuriated Mayo quickly grab Desmond by the shirt... ,Desmond maintain his pace as he try to remove his hands from his shirt.....
"Guards"Desmond shouted at the top of his voice....
Chief Mayo quickly grab his throat, Desmond gasp for breathe as Mayo hands began to choke him..
"I will kill you, you bastard"Chief Mayo yell as he tightened his grip on his throat....
The guards quickly pull chief Mayo aback ...
"You killed my daughter"He hollered as he try to free himself from the guards....
Desmond gasp as he try to regain his balance, he cough as he fight for breathe..... "Take that animal out of here... "he said infuriated...
"I will deal with you and everyone in this palace, am going to rain down blood in this palace.... "
"Get him out of here"Desmond shouted...
"Leave me alone.. "Chief Mayo yell as he freed his hands from the guards..
Fear grip the guards, non dare to touch him again, they know for a fact he wasn't someone to mess with...
"I won't forget how you murdered my daughter and humiliate me...."
"Your daughter was a murderer,she killed a palace guard,she just got what she deserves.... "Desmond retorted impetuously...
Chief Mayo glared at him and Desmond reciprocated the look... He groaned then he turn and begin to walk away, pushing the guards aside, he stopped when he got to where the inspectors were standing..... "Find my daughter's killer"he muttered....
Kess nodded as they watch him walk away....
Desmond touch his neck, he could still feel the grip of his hands on his neck... "Out, all of you, get out"He said,
The guards did as he has said...
"With your permission, we will like to ask the guards and maids a few questions.... "Kess said as he walk closer to him
"You can do whatever you dean fit to do, i really dont care,now please get out of my sight"
Kess felt embarrassed.... "You are tense, i think you need a little rest"Kess replied
"Get out"Desmond yelled
Kess gritted"Look i understand you just lost your wife but....
"Guards.... "
"Look kess, lets go..."Philip said tapping him on the shoulder
Kess inhaled deeply then he walk out with his partner.... "You should have let me talk to him, we are the police not one of his servant..... Even kings are not greater than the law.. "

KING DAFUDA watch with eyes wide open as Moyo dead body was carried and dropped in front of him....
"What happened to him? He ask as he walk round the body
"Some villagers found his body at the riverbank"Gary replied
"It look like he was stabbed not once, he must have bled to dead"Gary added
"Why would anyone want to kill a guard? King Dafuda ask anxiously as he sits on his throne.....
"According to the other guys, he was seen last the day the assassin mysteriously died"
"Do you think the deaths are connected?dafuda ask
"That was also the last time Gaviyo was seen"
"Who is Gaviyo?
Gary signalled the guards to carry the body away which they did without hesitation... "Gaviyo is one of the guards, the day the assassin died, Moyo told me he gave the prison keys to Gaviyo...."
"So are you saying, one of them killed the assassin...?
"Exactly,why would both guards disappear, its either one killed one so he could blame him for the dead of the assassin.....
"Or they both did the job and they got paid with their lives... "Dafuda cut in..
"Exactly father,but the question is, who sent that assassin,who is rich enough to pay one.... ?
Dafuda groan.... "One of the ministers is messing with me"
He groaned more as he thought of it, the ministers were the only ones who were rich enough to hire an assassin but which of them will dare such a thing.......

She closed her eyes as the rays of the light from the sun shone into her eyes, shd quickly close the curtains and sat close to the mirror.... She preened herself,she felt her hair was old stylish,she quickly pick up the comb and begin to weave the hair herself, then she felt a hand touch the hair, she smile as she saw Adesa's reflection on the mirror...
"I didn't want to stress you"Katherine said with a faint smile...
Adesa smile back as she collect the comb from her.."The princess can never stress me"
"What do people say about me Adesa? She ask curiously
"People say you are a goddess on earth, created by ogini to bring peace and love to mankind"
She smile at the pleasant accolades.... "And what do you think of me?
"I think you are the goddess of peace"
"Am not a goddess"She said as she giggled
"Everyone wished you were?
They both laugh, then the door flung open....
Shock swept through both girls as they turn their gaze to the door...
"Are you for real, why didn't you knock before you badge in"Katherine said slightly infuriated ..
"Why should i knock my sister's door, are you hiding something.... "Vuga replied shabbily
Katherine sigh as he caught gaze of Francis who was hiding at the back of her brother....
"What if we were naked..?
Vuga blink his eyes,his heart skip as he caught glance of Adesa, what if she was naked, that will be a sight to behold.... Or not... "Are you kidding me, why would you possibly be naked... "
"Well because it's my room brother, and i have the right to do anything i want, which is why you are going to go back and knock.... "
"What...? He ask with clenched teeth... But His sister wasn't joking, without hesitation he pushed him outside..
"You are pushing me outside and my servant is still there.... Hey servant come out.. "Vuga blared out..
Katherine wink her eyes at him... "The servant has a name, his name is Francis"
He swallowed hard.... "I know"
"Good, now knock"She said as she close the door
Francis laugh, watching the siblings fight remind him of his family, the excitement on his face quickly fade away as the awful memories of the past begin to creep into his head....
His thoughts were disturbed by the knock on the door, he thought she will open it but she didn't, he watch as she hold the knob firmly, her hands were tender on the door, then she smile, her smile sent cold chills down his spines.....
"Hey, open the door"Vuga said from outside
The knock sounded again, this time more serious than the previous knocks...
She open it and he clatters inside...
"I thought it was going to take you forever to get the door opened....
"Uhm... Excuse me"Adesa said as she begin to walk away....
Vuga stare at her as she walk towards him..
She exhales as she try to avoid his stare,she increase her pace that she didn't know she stem wrong and tripped
Steadily she begin to fall then he caught her before she could fall to the ground, she raise her face and their eyes met...
For a second, Vuga felt breathless, words escape him as he stare into her eyes, their faces a few gaps from touching each other...
He realised how stupid he was looking at her like that when she try to freed herself from his grip...
"Oh... "he muttered as he quickly stood her up...
"Thank you my prince... "She said shapily turning to walk away but he held her hand, holding her back...
His head keeps ringing to him to let go of her but his heart says otherwise, he loves her, there was no doubt about that,she was the reason he was here, he needed to see her, even if he isnt able to confess his love to her, seeing her was enough for him.....
"Where are you going?he ask not sure what to say..
"I.. Er.. "she stammered as her body react to the strange sensation that comes with his touch..
"You always run away whenever i come here, are you scared of me?
She raised her face to meet his, he quickly let go of her when he realised he was still holding her, his heart beat rapidly when his eyes met her sparkling eyes the second time...
"You should be scared of you.... "Katherine words interrupted their stare....
"Everyone is scared of you"katherine added...
"Why is that, am not the priestess of ogini that everyone should run from"
"Maybe they will change their mindset towards you the day you start acting like a normal human being.... "Katherine retorted..
"How have i been acting......?he ask anxiously
"Like a normal animal"Francis muttered impetuously
Fear grip him as they all turn their gaze at him...
"That was a slip of tongue"he added
