WITH DOLEFUL EYES, Adesa folded the clothes in the closet, she wipe the tear was falling from her eyes.....
She move away from the closet and move to the window, she look outside wthe town was quiet... Awfully quiet, probably because of the upcoming blood festival....
She sniff as she thought about the princess once again, she wonder how she was doing, was she been maltreated, she huffs and slid down to the ground....
This few days without the princess has been really tough for her....
The tears in her eyes burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down her face. She felt the muscles of her chin tremble like a small child and she look toward the window, as if the light could soothe her. There was static in her head once more, the side effect of the constant fear that the princess might return home.....she quickly put away the thought, her father won't leave her there, she was sure of that.. ...
She quickly stood up and wipe away the tear from her eyes when a knock came on the door... She thought the person knocking could be Vuga...
She suck her teeth, took a deep breathe... She can't seem to explain the chemistry... The feeling that overwhelmed whenever she is around him....
She hesitated a bit, waiting for the knock to come again.....
And then it came... She quickly walk to the door, wipe out the wet drop from her cheek, then she opened the door.....
Shock engulf, irritated at the sight of the person, she just stood gazing at her....
"Where is Francis..? Barbara ask in a reprimanding voice.....
Adesa was inclined to close the door and tell her to get out but then on second thought........... "I don't know... "She said with irritation in her voice...
"I have been searching for him all over the palace, he is not with the prince, the only place he can be is here...... "
"He is not here.... "Adesa replied shapily...
"Then where did he go? Barbara blared out....
Adesa curl her lips, she wonder what she wants from Francis, over the years, she has been watching her... Francis said they were just friends but she know Barbara, she wouldn't be friends with Francis, an ordinary servant if she isn't attracted to him.. Over the years, she has been trying all means to gets her paws on Francis... She hates Barbara and she is sure Barbara hates her too..... "I don't know..."She replied with disdain in her voice...
"He hasn't gone back, has he? Barbara ask anxiously....
"I don't know...."Adesa replied shapily..... "If you don't mind, i will love to close the door, am busy inside... "She retorted...
"Wait....."
Adesa didn't listen, without hesitation wshe slammed the door on her face and lock it....
"You foolish maid... "Barbara groan from outside.... "I hate you.... I hate all of you"....she hollered

With knitted brows, Levi grimace his face as he look around, he was there sitting on his own while the other slaves work on the currow... The slaves here were few, unlike the ones in Mogula.. They look tattered and very dirty... He wonder why King Jafar had instructed the guards to bring him.... Was he an official slave again.....
He thought about what Francis has done, it was pretty obvious will get them killed, if thinking and starvation doesn't kill them, Francis stupid ideas and thinking will surely do it... He wonder why Francis will say such a thing....
He suck his teeth as a slave boy fell down from the from the small fence they were building... He was inclined to go and help but his inner mind told him to stay where he is.... He wasn't even sure if he was a guest or a slave again....
He took a deep breathe and clench his fingers, who is so stupid enough to choose slavery over freedom....
He blinked and muttered.... "Me... "....
No level of stupidity can beat that, he chose to follow Francis instead if following Zed, he had the chance to walk away but Francis pathetic face couldn't let him do it....
"New slave"....
He rolled his eyeballs, then lift them up to see who was addressing him.... He curl his lips when he saw a chubby boy and three skinny boys beside him....
His thoughts of seeing a fat slave for the first time made him laugh......
"Something funny"The fat slave ask
Just then Levi realize he just did a stupid that must have provoked the fat boy... But he couldn't help it, the boy was just too fat, he thought being a slave means be skinny.....
"Am talking to you.... "The fat boy raved...
Levi didn't reply, he doesn't want problems, especially his first day... In a place when his life depends on the confirmation of the truth of Francis words..... He slowly stood up and went elsewhere to sit....
He frown as the fat boy and the skinny ones begin to laugh.....
He quickly realise they were nothing but trouble but they started coming to him again....
"You cannot run from me"The fat slave said to him...
Levi huffs, as much as he doesn't want trouble whe can't keep running from him...
"I see you are the bully around here"Levi said with irritation in his voice....
The fat boy look at the rest, then they burst into laughter....
"Leave him alone.... "Another slave blared out from behind them...
The fat boy and the skinny ones turn to face him...
The fat boy went up to him and stare up face to him..... "What are you going to do about that... Sissy"He said pushing him.....
Levi knit his brows, then he stood up and walk up to the fat boy..... "You have a problem with me.. "
just then, the slaves who has gathered to watch began to do their works...
"I will see you again..."The fat boy said to him and rush out to do his work....
Levi exhales as he saw the person they were afraid.... The person face sent shivers down his spine... His face was black, rugged... He was barechested, the only thing that was covering his unclothedness was a tattered knicker, the rest of his body was just musles and veins... The patch of rope he held in his hand was scary.....
His broadchest and musles body made him tremble in fear....
He shudder when he whip a slave with the ropes...
Levu pants in fear as the slave scream.... The other slaves begin to put more effort in their works....
He quickly went back to sit down on where he was before, where the guards have left him....
He shudder, the man's gaze startled him.....
"Benche benche Benche..... "The man shouted in an intoned voice...
"Benche benche Benche.... "The slaves repeated after him...
Levi wonder what that means......

The only sound Francis can hear were the sound of guards passing by..... He folded his hands as he sat down on the floor, he weigh the pros and cons of how he is going to get out of the prison they have kept him.....he wonder where they have taken Levi, he wonder how he is..... How he is doing.. ''
He frown,then he stood up, he hold the bars of where they have kept him, he wonder where Katherine is, could she be in a prison like the one he is right no...
He exhales shapily, wondering how he is going to escape... He will be dead if king Jafar find out what he said was a lie..
He bought time with his lies and the time was running out. He need to escape, whatever he has to do to get out, he will do it....... He groan and began to kick the bars

Katherine pants with deep breathe as she began as she began to hit the window... She try to be strong,to hide her pains....
As much as she tried to hold it in, the pain came out like an uproar from her throat in the form of a silent scream. The beads of water started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping. She hit the wall and tried to scream, but her voice was melted by the sound of the place. The muffled sobs wracked against her chest. The world turned into a blur, and so did all the sounds. The taste. The smell. Everything was gone. The painful emotion slammed against her before she lost the feeling of feeling. Everything darkened into nothingness as she passed into the oblivion of self pity. ..the loneliness,the emptiness wreck her spines.. She screamed loudly with tears splatting down her cheek... "Somebody help me please..... "She muttered and drop down on the floor......
Her crying was both ferocious and noisy. She blinked briny tears from swollen eyes, her thick lashes stuck together in clumps as if she had been swimming. The tears made wet tracks down her face and dripped from stubbled, wobbling chin. Clear watery snot streaked from her flaring nostrils down her skin to her open quivering lips. Her hands open and closed, rhythmically clenching as if there could be some violent solution to her pain if only she could find it......
Infuriated, she stood up and wallow into destruction.... She begin to break things in the room..... Terrified.... She scream loudly

MARY SLIPPED DOWN FROM THE CHAIR AS THE CALL ENDED IN HER EARS...
this was the seventeenth time she was calling Manny since she woke up but she wasn't picking..
"God, what has happened to Manny. "She muttered silently to herself...
She was inclined to call her again but she thought it will just be a waste of time, if Manny was ok, she believes Manny would have return her calls, all wasn't well with Manny and she know that for a fact.. She look at the time on her phone, it was 7:27am,she wondered where Sharon has rushed to so early in the morning.. Sharon wasn't the type to go out so early....
She grunts at the thought, what does she really know about her friends... Sometimes she thinks Sharon has a clue on where Manny has gone to..
She wave off the thought as she thought it was stupid... If Sharon knows, she would have said something....
She quickly stood up and she suddenly remenbers Manny keeps a diary, she quickly rushed to Manny's room....
The room was just the way it was the day Manny left it.... She scan her eyes for a diary but all she could see were harlequin love stories and magazines..
She pick up one of the novels, she never knew Manny was into novels let alone buying...
She remenber when they were in school, Manny had no interest in reading, she believes in sorting out lecturers to pass exams. So it's really a surprise to know Manny read novels...
She wonder why she hasn't noticed... Does Manny read them secretly...
She drop the one she was reading as she thought of where the Diary might be...
She decided to check the wardrobe, smile curve her lips as she saw a white teddy bear, she pick it up, on the tag it was written.. "LOVE SUN"
She wonder what that meant, she put it back into the wardrobe, she slack-jawed her eyes as she saw Manny's stylish clothes....
"Classy girl Manny"She muttered as she began to touch the clothes...
She exhales as she realise she was actually here to find a diary not to admire clothes.. She scan her eyes round the wardrobe but she found nothing that look like a diary...
She huffs, a bit disappointed.... She sigh when she realise she hasn't checked everywhere.. She decided to check the drawer... She pull out the drawer at the top,but it was just her necklaces, earrings and jewelries of all sorts that were there....she pick out one of the necklaces... She admire it, she remenber the first day Manny has bought it.. She was looking so elegant on it, she remenbered how Sharon has begged to wear it but Manny didn't concur to her beggings.sje drop it and close it... Then she pulled out ghe one beneath it... She sigh, a sigh of relief tinge with enthusiasm when she saw the diary there...
Without hesitation, she pick it up, she glance through the cover, then opened it...
Most of the times,she has seen Manny writing on the diary, most timesbshe gets curious and ask what she writes... Manny has replied it was her life in many occasions..
Mary remenbers how she has left at her statement. How can one writes her life on the sheets of a diary....
She began to open it sheet by sheet but nothing seems to be meaningful in the diary, at least there was nothing that could give her a clue to where Manny is..
Without hesitation, she flip the sheets to the last sheet she has written on.....
With eyes wide open, Mary read out the last words Manny has written on the diary.... "I think am beginning to fall for sun"
"Who is sun? She ask herself..
The question repeatedly echo in her head, she quickly rushed to the wardrobe and pick up the teddy bear, then she read the words on the tag again... "Love sun".....
She placed the teddy bear beside the diary... Could this sun had sent her the teddy bear...
The last guy Manny spoke off before her disappearance was Jacob, but Manny never said anything about falling for him, moreover, Manny never said anything about nicknaming him sun.....
She knows Manny, she isn't the type that is easily swept off her feet by a man,Manny has never falling in love with anyone, so who is sun, could sun be Jeremy, could it be Jacob... But Jacob never mentioned anything like that....
A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts, she took a last glance at the diary, then quickly rush out of the room...
The knock came again, she wonder who is knocking.. With a curious mind, she quickly opened the door..
Heart pounding, she stood therr, staring at the person.....
"What are you doing here....? She ask infuriated

Slowly, Sharon push the gate open, her heart was pounding like it wants yo explodes.. She was scared, really scared...
She gaze at the small bungalow, a side of it was well painted with blue and orange colour,the other side was unpaint.
She scan her eyes around to see if anyone was kn sight, when she saw no-one, she began to tiptoe into the compound...
She quiver as she realise iy wasn't right to tiptoe in that circumstances, with a momentum, she increase her pace until she got to the door, she wasn't sure if the door was open or not, she decided to walk round the building and peep through the windows, if Manny is in the house, she must be in one of the rooms, she started with the window that was close to her, she carefully peep through the glass window, there was no one in sight, there were no chairs, just a small stool that was place closer to the wall....
She quickly left therr and began to move forward..
She quivered in her spines when she heard the sound of something that fell... She quickly retrace her steps, she trace back where the sound came from, to her surprise, curtains were placed on the window... She immediately know that someone was there..
She shivered when she heard the sound of a chair clattering on the floor, she listened carefully, she shudder as she heard a low voice struggling to scream...
She thought the person's mouth might be gagged with a cloth.. Carefully she peep through, then she saw a strap of the person's hair...
"Manny"She muttered with a trembling voice.
She peep again, but she couldn't see the person's face.... "Manny"She called out again. She was inclined to turn around and save her in any way she can....
She was hit hard on the head the moment she turned around.. She grimace in pains, then she fell unconscious..
"Fool"A voice raved at her

The memory of seeing him with that club LovePeddler came running back to her head..."Well congratulations, you just did..... Get out. "She said and slammed the door....
He hold the door and stopped it from closing... "Please just listen to me"

Mary grunts... "Fine, you have made your point, you can get out..... "

Slowly Sharon opened her eyes..... Fear engulfed her spines as she realise where she was and what just happened.... She look around wondering the room she was, the room was empty and she was the only one in it, she quickly rush to the door....
She groan when she noticed the door was locked.. "Let me out of here you scoundrel.... "She yelled....
It quickly occur to her to call Mary, tell Mary to call for help, she deep her hands in her pocket.... She furrowed her brows she didn't find it.... That bastard has taken her phone....
Infuriated she began to bang on the door.... "Pope, let me out of here.... Let me out you bastard.... "She raved
That was certainly Manny she has seen earlier, Manny is here, she wonder if anyone will hear if she scream for help.... She sigh, a sigh of relief when she remember she has told the taxi man to call the police if she wasn't out in fifteen minutes.... Now she just have to put her hope on the taxi man.. For her sake and Manny..

He smile as he was about to inject the poison in him....
The door opened wide, Nataniel quickly put away the injection in his pocket...
"Who are you? The person standing at the door ask
Nataniel shudder, he was almost caught.... "Am his friend, his close friend at school.. "
The person walk in and slammed the door behind her, she sat on Luke bed and place a hand on his forehead...
"I was just checking on him Nataniel said wondering who the person is, his plans has just be jeopardize he couldn't inject the poison into his body before this person, whoever she is intruded..
"How is he doing?the person ask wiping her eyes with her palm....
"No improvement i guess, but i believe he is going to be okay... "Nataniel said
"But who are you? He added curiously ...."what is your relationship with him.. ?
"Am his mother.... "
Nataniel sigh, he was lucky he wasn't caught red handed.. "Am glad you are here, maybe your presence may aid to his quick recovery "He said sarcastically

Leonard sat on the bike seat...
Noah sat behind him with a huff...
Leonard wore his helmet and tightens the hook to his jaw, without a second thought, he started the bike and zoom off

LADY GREER ORPHANAGE HOME were the words that welcomed Mrs Lemuel as she step out of the car, underneath the boldly written orphanage home was a small coursey that said....***we care for the children. ***
A year ago, she was standing in that same spot staring at the name, "nothing has changed here"she muttered to herself
She close the car door as she walks towards the orphanage home gate, she knocked at the gate, after a few seconds, a man in his late forties appeared in front of her..
His uniform showed he was a gateman, Mrs Lemuel remenbered the last time she came with her husband, it was someone else who has opened the gate for them, he was a bit old and was very unlike this man, this man was broad shouldered, his broadchest was visibly seen through bis uniform, his face was a bit rough and scary....
"Welcome... "The man said in a baritone voice as he open the gate wide for her..
Mrs Lemuel thanked him and went inside, she saw some group of children playing on the field, one if the kids mistakenly fell down but quickly stood up when she thought no one was watching..
Mrs Lemuel chulkled, she remenbered her daughter, she wonder how she wad when she was the age of that child, she home to find some answers to her daughter whereabouts this time time, with a curious mind, she walk into the building....

Okay.... "Leonard said with a smile, then he increase the speed..

Leonard laugh hysterically then he lost control of the bike when a big van began to advanced towards them....
"Leonard watch out... "Noah scream
Confused, Leonard diverted the bike into the bush... With speed the bike carried them the thick bushes
"Leonard stop the bike... "Noah hollered
"I can't, the brakes are noy working... "Leonard said in a trembling voice ..
The bike continue to carry them deep into the bush...
"Jump.... "Noah shouted...
"What...?
Noah didn't hesitate before he jump out of the bike, he roll down the grasses and somersaulted to the ground..
Noah"Leonard scream as the bike carried him further more into the bush..... Fear prick his spines as he saw a cliff ahead, he summon up courage and decided to jump out, without further ado, he jump out..the bike went further and fell from the cliff into the deep water...
Leonard breathe heavily as he try to stand up, then he realise his jean trouser was torn from the jump, he look at the injury he sustained during the jump.. He covered the injured spot with his hand to stop the bleeding....
In a loud voice, he screamed.... "Noah, where are you?

Mary watch her until her room door slammed, she wonder how much a person can change over a period of time, she wanted to tell her she reported Manny's disappearance at the police station but it seems she wasn't interested in knowing anything about their friend...
She look at the window, drag the curtain to one side and peep outside... It was almost dark, the weather was a bit cloudy now.. More like it was going to rain again after that heavy downpour.. She closed her eyes then pray to God to keep her friend safe wherever she is.....

The DPO pour another glass full of beer as he chuckled once again to his friend statement...

Sharon exhales at the morning cold that prick her skin...her muscles cramp as she glance at the time.... It was 6:32am yet he hasn't come out, she wonder if Pope had lied to her when he told her he was going to go out early this morning for an urgent business....
That is the real she is here, she hid carefully on the other side of the fence, she has decided to follow where ever he goes and she was fully inclined to do so.. Who knows he may just lead her to where he has kept Manny if he has her....
Throughout the night, her instinct kept telling her Pope knows something about Manny's disappearance, her suspicions were comfirmed when she eavesdrop on his conversation the previous day when she was at his house.....
She shudder as she remenber Pope words from the phone call.. "Give her food, if she scream too much, gag her mouth with the clothe.... "She quiver in her spines as Pope words keep ringing in her head,what if it was Manny the conversation was about..
She shift aback as the gates began to open,seconds later she caught sight of his car slowly coming outside...
She knew for a fact this is the right time to find out where Manny is.... ''
When she was sure he didn't see her,she slowly enter the taxi of the man she has paid to wait....
"Follow that car.... "She said agitated the moment she entered the backseat
The taxi man who was half asleep quickly startrd the engine and began to tail the car...
Pope car was on high speed but Sharon never let the driver to lost sight of him, she wonder if Pope knew the taxi was following him.. She hopes for her sake and Manny's, such ideas never cross his mind..
Sharon watch as Pope reverse into a lonely road, this time he wasn't on high speed anymore but was moving slow and steady, the buildings on the street can be counted, she wonder the kind of people that were living in such a deserted area..
Shock swept through her as Pope's car stopped in front of a fence compound...
She quickly signalled the taxi driver to move pass Pope's car, she didn't want to arouse any suspicion...
She watched through the side mirror as Pope came out from the car and went into the compound...
Sje signal the taxi driver to stop the car when she was a bit distant from Pope's car... She quickly came out from the taxi...
"Madam,you nor go pay me? The taxi driver ask
She scoffs then deep her hand on the side pocket of her jean trouser and gave the taxi man a thousand naira...
She look around the area the only dominant thing in the area were bushes.. It was as quiet as a graveyard.. She glance at the house Pope has entered earlier, Manny could be there.. The house was probably a good place to hide someone or probably kill.....
She look ahead, there was no house closer to the one Pope has entered.. Fear engulfed her as the thought of kill creep into her head.. What a lonely and deserted area to die.. What if she is marching into her dead.. The area was a good place to kill and bury someone and no one will find out...
She shudder as she listen to her inner voice telling her to retreat when she still has the chance... Manny wasn't worth risking her life... But if Manny dies,it will her fault,her jealousy of her drag her to make a deal with Pope... Manny's enemy...
She took a deep breathe when the engine of the taxi interrupted her thoughts..
"Hey listen, please i beg you to wait for me for fifteen minutes.. "She said to the taxi man..
"Fifteen minutes...? The taxi man ask
Sharon nodded"If am not back before then, call the police.... "
"Madam, you go pay extra charges o"The taxi man said
Sharon nodded... "Thank you... "she said, look around again then she made the dreaded move....
Slowly with pounding heart, she begin to walk towards the house....
She stood for a moment when she got to the gate....
What if Manny isn't there, what if Pope has nothing to do with her disappearance... But what if she is right. If Manny is here, this could be the only chance she might have to save her....
She knew for a fact this was a dangerous place and her chance to live or die totally lies on the decision she will make now...

"I think we should go see Ferico Carter tomorrow..... "he made a sly smile on his face,grind his teeth and continue.... "You know very soon the elite club election will be starting, we need a man like Ferico Carter on our side.. "
"Are you suggesting we go to his house... "Odumodu ask with a mild face
Chief Mayo jut tinged with a smile..... "Yes, we are not sure if he will come if we invite him here, moreover there is a saying that whoever needs something from another should have the longest hand, we need his support in this upcoming election.... "

He took a deep breathe as he try to recover his confidence.....
He clatters with a groan when the guards pushed him on the floor....
"Great king........ "The store owner said.....
He spun around and lavish accolades on him....
Francis lour his head, avoiding king Jagars gaze......
"Boy..... "King Jafars baritone voice sounded....
His voice startled him.... He inhaled deeply ...."Now is the time Francis, dont be scared.. "His inner voice keep ringing to him..
He try to raise his head to meet his gaze then he lower his head back........

Francis exhales then he raised his head to meet his....
He grimace in pains as a guard kick him hard on the back.....
"When the king calls you, you answer... "The guard raved and kick him again....
The kick sent Francis on the floor...he bit his lower as he try to stand up to balance...
With furrowed brows, he gave the guard a dirty look......

Francis grunts ....."I was hungry... "He replied with a blanch pale face
King Jafar chulkled.. "Did you know it is a crime to steal....?
"Am aware your majesty... But take pity on me, am just an orphan who is trying to make to survive.... "

Shock swept through him.. Just then he knew... It wasn't going to be easy as he has anticipated.....
"Have mercy great king..... "He blared out bowing his head......
"Mercy......"King Jafar said gigling.... "You are still alive because i showed you mercy, the mobs didn't kill you because of my mercy but mercy has a limit.. You disobeyed the law and in doing that you defy me...... "
"Far be it from me to defy you great king.. "Francis interjects..... He sniff....
The thought that he isny going to survive this creep into his head.... He won't be able to rescue the princess if that happens.... The thought of his dead family and a feeling of loneliness resorted him into crying....
"Great king, show mercy On your humble servant...i was hungry and i dared to break your rules.... I didn't kniw what else to do.. I begged for the food but it wasn't giving to me.. For punishment, i will devote my life to you but olease don't kill me.... Make me a slave, a servant but dont kill me"Francis pleaded with tears in his eyes....

WITH SMILES ON HER FACE, mary stood and waitef patiently until Jacob drove out of sight, she swallowed hard and exhales shapily when she couldn't find the trace of the car again.....she quickly brought out the gate key and open the gate, for a moment she just stood there staring at the gate wondering if Manny has passed through it,if Manny was already home....
Slowly the smiles faded from her face... Three days and there is no sign or news of her.....
She quickly wipe away the tear that was clung ho her eyelid....... She walk in and close the gate.. Sharon wasnt home yet, that explains why the gate was still locked outside...
She drag het feet as she walk to the threshold of the house, she stood at the balcony wondering where Manny could have gone to.. Where she might be......
When she find no answer to the questions,she went into the house, it was just as she has left it.. The well arranged pillows on the chair and the glass of juice she couldn't finish..
She threw herself on the chair, pick up one of the pillows and clung it to herself ,she glance at the time.. It was almost evening and Sharon hasn't return...
She cling to one side of the chair and prays the pray the police help her find Manny..
"Oh God, please keep Manny safe"..she muttered to herself..

Mary nodded... She brought her phone out and search for Manny picture, it wasn't long before she found one, she quickly show it to the DPO
Shock swept through the DPO as he saw the picture.. It was her, it was certainly her.. She was the slut that was introduced to him by his friend... The one who left before he woke up in the morning... He huffs not letting them see his shocked expression... And gave the phone back to her....
"What makes you think she is missing....? He ask
Mary sigh, she wonder why everyone kept asking that question... "Even thieves? Francis ask anxiously
"Yes, stealing is prohibited.. Its a serious crime, no matter how small what you stole is, you will taken to the king in the high city for final verdict.... "
"Someone stole our bags last night, why wasn't him caught? Levi blared out
"Because its night, no one saw him... "The boy replied and left them..
Levi grunts, he touch his stomach as it rumbled.... "Well, if the king isn't going to kill us, hunger certainly will..... "
He watch as Francis stare into air, he snap his fingers in front of him.... "What's running in that little head of yours now.?
Francis grin at him..... "How long do we have before the blood festival...?
"Three days, four days, why are you even asking...?
"Because i know how we can get into the palace even without the tickets.... "
Levi folded his hands.... "How?
Francis suck his teeth, he thought over the plan.... He wasn't sure if it will work but at this stage they have lost everything..... That is the only way he has.... "You heard what the boy said, anyone who commits a crime is taken to the palace for judgement.....
"No no no no.... You aren't thinking about that... "Levi cut in...
"Its our only shot, we don't have money to buy the ticket to cross the gate, this is the only way we can get in there.... "
"Have you gone totally crazy, you are saying we steal..... ?
Francis knit his brows tinge with frown lines encroaching on his forehead... "Well as bad as it may sound, we have no other choice.. And it would be stealing, we will just be taking something from someone's store boom, they catch us and take us to the palace.. It isn't stealing..... "
"Taking something without permission and payment.... That is stealing.... "
"Well is a good stealing... Is going to get us in the palace which is exactly what we want..... "
"What you want not we... "Levi retorted...... "What makes you so sure they are going to take you to the palace.... They might just kill you themselves.... "
"Alright fine, you were right the first time, i dragged you into this.. Am letting you go now, go your way, i will do this alone... "

They were all tense after waiting for hours yet there was no sign of him....
"Are you sure you delivered the card to him?Carlos ask
"I did chief, they didn't let me in but i gave it to the security.. I waited until he delivered it himself... He gave back report to me before i left"Ted said....
"Could it be the security didn't give it to him.....? Buzo ask
Chief Marcus push the glass of water from his front....... "We invited him for lunch, it's almost dinner and he isn't here.... "
"It's very obvious he stood us up again, first he embarrassed us at his party by not showing up, then we invited him for lunch and he didn't show up, who does he think he is"Chief Joseph retorted....
"Ferico Carter has bitten more than he can chew, he has no respect.. I suggest we teach him a lesson to remind him where he is... We should show him, we are not men he can mess around with... "
The rest of the chiefs stood up and left the house, some hissing on their way out leaving only Buzo and Carlos alone...
"What do we do now....? Buzo ask when the rest of the chiefs were out of the house..
"Ferico Carter..... "Carlos muttered then he chuckled...... "Since he has refused to come to us.... We will go to him.... "
"I don't think that's is a good idea, i suggest we do it the traditional way, lets summon him to the palace"
Carlos scoffs"Leave tradition out of this, Ferico Carter is a powerful man, his schedule must have been very busy, we will go to him tomorrow.... "

"Why, you realise why you shouldn't go....?
Pious scoffs"I realise it was rather too early to give them the biggest shock of their life.... "
"How do you intend to get back at them if you don't want to see them... "
"I didn't grace the invitation because there was no reason to, they will come to me uncle... Am certain of that.... When they come, our war will begin"

"Why would i do that, why would i kill Manny? Pope blared out irritated
"Because you hate her..... "She blared out... She exhales, take a deep breathe.... "You've held a grudge against her ever since our university days..."
Pope curl his lips... "Manny must have done some crazy things to me in the past, things that shattered my life and made me who i am today, but why would i wait for such a long time to enact my revenge when i have more than enough opportunities all this years to crush her like a twig..... "

Sharon knew very well in her heart that he was lying, Pope was dangerous, a dangerous man who is capable of doing anything to the woman who has ruined his life in the past, even if it meant murder.. She knew he was willing to take the chance.... Pope killed Manny.....
"I don't believe you..... "She retorted.......
She pants with hard breathe, feeling guilty about what she has done.... "Why didn't you call me if Manny didn't show up, if you are telling the truth why didn't you inform me the instant you realise she didn't come.... "
"I didn't want to bother you with such news. Besides i knew you will show up which you did... "
Sharon folded her arms, then she took a few steps from him... She wasn't if Pope was telling the truth but she is no fool.. If Manny is dead.. Pope killed her...
"I didn't kill your friend if that is what you are still thinking....."
Sharan swallow hard as she realise if really Pope killed Manny, he wouldn't admit the truth, she has to find out for herself what happened to Manny....

Mary was scared, this was the third day and there is no sign of Manny, no calls, no text messages....
She peep out from the curtains of the window, she sigh when she saw no one, she move away from the window, then she pace around, she stare at her phone... Praying and hoping it rings or beem a message and it should be Manny.. She had called her countless times today, sent her messages but there was no reply, not even a blank message... She knew for a fact that at this stage, the only people who were capable of helping her is the police... They are her last resort....
She pick up the phone and try calling Sharon... She drop the phone when it occurred to her that she won't pick... She hasn't be taking picking her call since she drop the message.. That she was going to sleep out....
Sharon was living in her own hell, she wonder how she could have changed so much.... They have all changed especially Manny...
Fear prick her as she thought Manny could be dead.. Dead in a place no-one can find her...
She pick up her phone and dial the number again... Anticipating that she picks or someone picks....
She groan and threw the phone back on the chair... Manny disappearance wasn't funny anymore, she had to go to the police and solicit for their help...
She was inclined to call Jacob since he is the only one who had volunteer to help her. Without much thought about iy, she pick the phone and dial Jacob's number....
She waited patiently with deep breathe.. Then she sigh, a sigh of relief when his voice came up after the third ring...
"Hello"Jacobs voice sounded from the other end...
Mary exhales, she wasn't sure hiw she was going to ask for his help...... "Hey is mary"She replied shabbily...
"Hey pretty, how are you doing.... "
Mary sigh, his voice wasn't that baritone.. It was light.. Sharp maybe......
"Is Manny back? Jacob ask...
"No she isn't "Mary reply shapily.... She hope she could say yes to the question... But oops...
"Actually am thinking of going to the police station.... "She added
She heard his low grunt from the phone, she just wonder what was running in his head.. Maybe it was probably a bad idea to call him.....
"Do you want me to go with you to the police station.?
Mary swallowed hardwshe just met this guy, the fact he followed her to find Manny the first time doesn't really means they are friends.. Even if it means they were friends hypothetically..... He could be busy with stuffs and she was just disturbing him with her issues of finding Manny, her best friend who is turning out to be not the best friend she know....
"Emm.. M... I could use your help but if you are busy you dont have to be worry i....
"Am coming over... Just wait there"Jacobs voice interjects....
She suck her teeth.. Then bit her lower lip... "Okay, thank you... "
She took a deep breathe as the call ended... She look out the window again, she stare at the gate and pray in her mind Manny or anyone who knows her whereabouts pass through the gate..... "Manny where are you?

FRANCIS gag as he pour another glass of alcohol in his mouth ,he brushed his hair with his hand, the thought of loosing her taunt him so much, he knew he made a mistake whe wouldn't have acted in front of her the way he did... He acted impulsively like a d**k... But he isn't going to let her go....
He took the whole bottle of brandy and gulp a little down his throat...
He sniff as the smell of alcohol protrude from his mouth...
"Come on man, that is the third bottle you are having, do you want to kill yourself... "His friend Peter said as he drop playboy erotic magazine he was reading.....
Francis sniff, not bothering to reply him...
"Give het sometime, she will come back, all girls come back"Peter added
Francis bug his eyes and gave hima killer look, then he continue drinking the brandy, his friend wasn't the righy person to understand how he feels, he was a playboy, a chronic womanizer.. How would a womanizer understand exactly how he feels, what it means when someone you love so much is slipping away from you.....
"You are going to die and may as well lose her to someone else if you continue drinking like a deranged lunatic.... "Peter said harshly...
Francis didn't reply, he just continue drinking.....
Peter realise his words were not going anywhere, without hesitation, he dragged the bottle from his hand...
"Are you crazy? Francis retorted...
"You think broozing yourself to stupor will solve anything....? Peter said back
Francis exhales, he lean his back on the chair.... "You won't understand what am feeling right now"
"I understand perfectly well how you are feeling right now"Peter snap...
He drop the bottle at the table, he look at Francis. "Look man, it wasn't your fault you had sex with someone else, all men have needs, you are not a wall, you get sexual urges and desires.. Mary should have understood that"
Francis sniff"I cheated on her"He said faintly
"So what... "Peter snap..... "You are not the first guy who has cheated on his girlfriend, you had sexual urge.. You were Hot,your body craved for it.. You simply got it out of your system. I dont even see that as cheating, its helping one self from total destruction of himself......."
He exhales"Look man, i know very well she is a virgin and she intends to be one until she is married but she is a girl and you are a man, the two of you are in a relationship and in every relationship sex is a vital asset, a very essential commodity that can't be shunned, she deprived you of your needs, so it wasn't your fault you offload your assets elsewhere because if i were in your choose i would have probably done the same thing.. God one year without sex.... You really took a long time to splash your products on someone's face.... I wouldn't survive that long without sex....... "
Francis curl his lips.... "You dont se to understand what's going on here,do you?
Peter scoffs"Brother i understand perfectly well what's going on, she is hurt, you are hurt, you are scared of loosing her because you love her and those crazy other things but drinking yourself to dead isn't going to bring you guys back together ,if you want her back, handle it like a man, quit hiding your fears inside the bottle of a brandy...... "
Francis suck his teeth,Peter is right, he should handle things like a man, he is still sure Mary loves him, he saw that in her eyes the last he was at her place... He has betrayed her trust for him once, he won't do it again.. He is going to get her back.. No matter what he has to do. He loves her.. Love her too much to walk away... Mary was and still a diamond... A diamond he isn't ready to lose... Not to anyone, especially not to his fears..... "

His stomach growled and he squirmed where he sat to try to silence the rumbling. He glanced at the Francis,he frown when he noticed Francis was sitting undisturbed.. Fully settled,the food seller droned on, but his head was preoccupied; his eyes glazed over as he imagined the food the old man few pace away from him was eating . He salivate at the thought of it. His stomach rumbled again, and he tried to cover it with hand. Luckily, no one noticed the loud noise.
"Why do you keep making that face? Francis ask
"What face....?
"That face.... "
His stomach snarled and howled and from it came the not-so-subtle undertone of pain. It came in waves and it seemed as though his stomach was slowly digesting itself,he drew closer to Francis..... "I am hungry... "He whisper in his ears
"Oh.....! Francis muttered....
"But i thought you ate on our way here..... "Francis added...
Levi suck his teeth... "That was hours ago"He said faintly.....
"Am thinking of a way we can rescue her... "Francis said not minding his rumbling stomach...
Levi grimaced his face not bothering to listen or reply...
"Levi.... "
"Haven't you get the memo, when am hungry i morph into a completely different person, incapable of conversation and possibly of compassion"
"I have some money here.... "Francis as he drop his bag and took out money.....
Levi snatch the money from him without hesitation....
"hey... "Francis blared out
"We will discuss about this when am fully filled and satisfy...... "Levi snap....

They got to the high city gate an hour later...
Francis was a bit scared when he saw the guards standing at the gate... A part of their face was painted black....
"So brilliant one, here we are"Levi said with a huff....
They watch people go in and come out, some traders carrying their goods on donkey's back when some carried their loads on their back....
Both boys move forward... A guard at the gate startled Francis... He stop and took a deep breathe....
"What now, are you having a second thought....? Levi ask
"Never.... Lets go"
They move forward.... A gew gaps from the gate.....
Little by little they begin to close the space that separate them from the gate..
Both boys could feel their heart pounding as they begin to cross the threshold of the gate..
"The two of you"A guard said....
Francis was at the verge of stopping.....
"Don't stop idiot"Levi muttered to him
Levi serious warning prompt him to move forward......
"Stop"The guard shouted again...
Fear engulfed them as the guard begin to move towards them......
He shudder, his body shaking with fear, he knew it was stupid to be afraid.... But a part of him just couldn't take it.... He inhale deeply and convince himself to be bold....
"Who are you? The guard ask scanning his eyes at them...
Levi wink at Francis.....
"We have come to trade sir.... "Francis replied shapily...
Levi glance at him, he grunts at the stupid thing Francis just said
"Where is your ticket? The guard ask after much looking at them...
"Here we go"Levi muttered silently to himself.....
"We don't have sir.... "Francis said
"Then you can't trade here, without your trading tickets, you are not allowed to trade in the high city...
"Please sir, don't chase us away, we are orphans.... "Francis interjects sarcastically.....
"We don't need orphans here, get out...... "The guard raved at them.....
"Please sir help us, we have nowhere to go... "
"I said get out... "The guard yelled and push them away.....
Levi knew it will be wise to walk away the moment he noticed the other guards were staring at them...
"Don't even think of coming back here beggars... "The guard blared out harshly.....
"We are not beggars"Francis shouted when they were few paces away from the gate....
Levi raved with great speed when he saw the guard glowering at them.... "Let go... "He said to Francis who was still standing....
He drag Francis by the hand when he noticed the guard was about to go after them......

"It was supposed to work when we are in the palace.. How would i have know people go in with tickets.... "
"Perhaps we should get our own ticket...."
Francis bug his eyes... "That's right, we just have to find where they are getting the ticket.... "
Levi exhales.... "Must you accept everything i say.. I..."He sigh the moment Francis stop someone to ask him who was giving out the ticket....
"Thank you"Francis said... Then he face Levi with a smile..... "I think we know our ticket seller... "

Francis was shocked by the long queue.... They try to fit their body in people's middle but their effort was rendered useless as the people push them away.....
They had no choice but to join the long queue.......
"It's going to be dark soon.... "Francis said... He was scared he isn't going to be able to get into the palace....
"The line isn't even moving... "Levi grumbled.... He was tired, quite exhausted... He should have stayed back or follow Zed.....

Francis lose hope of getting into the palace that day the moment the ticket seller closed for the day and it wasnt yet their turn....
He break down and sat on the floor when he saw the crowd running behind the ticket seller, begging him to sell to them.. Some even bargain to pay double but the guards with the ticket seller chased them away.......
"All our time we spent in standing in that queue wasted..."Levi said as he lour his waist to the ground...
Francis look at the cloud,night was closing in on them, its just a couple of hours before everywhere goes dark.....
"Have you imagined where we are going to spend the night....? Levi ask

Liza cough, she drope her hand around then she realise she was in the room alone, she sat up, pick up her water can... She sting it back on the floor when she noticed there was no water on it, she quickly pick it up again.. She cough again... Then she thought of going to the kitchen to get some, slowly she walk to her door and turn down the knob.... She was a bit scared then she remember what her grandfather has told het.. She shouldn't be afraid of anything.... With that sense of boldness, she increase her speed and walk to the kitchen....
She quivered with great fear when there was no one in sight, she open the kitchen door, the light was on, she moved to the sink but her hand couldn't reach it... She scan her eyes around looking for something to climb.... She found a bowl, she quickly drag it with her tiny hands and climb on it.. She fetch water into her water can from the sink.. She lock the water and carefully jump down from the bowl.. Leaving the bowl there, she left the kitchen..
She was at the verge of screaming when she saw someone standing a few steps from her... she quickly remenber it was the same she has seen the previous night....
"Who are you? She ask in a faint tinkling voice....
She began to walk towards him when no reply came...... "Do you live here? She ask again...
She walk close to him.... "People are sleeping, why aren't you sleeping...? She ask with trembling mouth...
She shivered when she noticed there was something different about him, his face was icy cold....

Without an idea of where she was going, she followed him willingly, not asking questions.. She was glad to see him and she doesn't want to ruin that euphoric happiness......
She followed him as he took her through the bushes....
Shock swept through het when he took her to where he was killed...
She shivered with fear... As she saw blood gushing from his mouth and head.....
"Rick.... Rick.... "
She screamed as the gunshot sounded.....
"Why did you bring me here... ?She shouted...
She continued screaming as more blood gushed out from his body... She screamed then she woke up.....
She pants with hard breathe....
"Hey hey...."Desmond said holding her...
Her scream has woken him up, he place his hand in his face.... "Hey is just a dream, just a dream... "
Claude was still breathing heavily, she was shaken by the dream, why does Rick keep appearing to her....
Shock swept both of them when they heard someone screaming....
"Liza"Claude blared out
They both jump out from the bed and ran outside.....
Claude quickly ran to her side when they saw her on the corridor shivering....
"Liza Liza... "She called out carrying her....
"He is going... "Liza said
Desmond and Claude both look at where she was pointing to but there was no-one there...
Desmond went forward, he check the hallways but there was no sight of anyone....
"He was there, he look sad mummy... "Liza said
"It's okay sweetie, its okay...."Claude said with shivered spines..... She was startled by who Liza has saw... Who could it be.... "
"There is no one... "Desmond said...
"He was there daddy, he was the same man i saw in your room last night"
A few maids came out from their rooms.....
"You can all go back to your rooms, there is nothing wrong... "Desmond said...
The maids return to their rooms without hesitation....
Claude scan her eyes round the corridor... Who could Liza have seen?

Francis quickly stood up when he noticed something was itching him....
Fear engulfed him when he realise it was a person's hand... "Who are you? He blared out with shaking mouth.....
His voice woke Levi up, who quickly jump to his feet on the sight of who was there....
"Give me the bags... "The baritone hoarse voice demanded....
"No.... "Francis blared out....
His feets were shaking, he edged backward a bit....
His heart raced at tremendous speed when the person brought out a knife....
"I will kill yoU and still go with the bags.... "The person said drawing closer to him.... He pulled the knife up....
"Just give him Francis.... "Levi said with shaking mouth....
"Take it... "Francis said kicking the bag to him...
The man quickly took it, then he also took the other one, he held the two bags in his hands.. "You shouldn't have slept here, you have no idea what people do to people who sleep in the markets... More danger is coming.. Be prepare to face the horrors of the night"The man said and begin to laugh hysterically.....
He continue laughing until he left them....
Francis could hear the rapid sound of his heartbeat...... He took a deep breathe and try to recover from the shock and fear that engulfed him.....
"He took our bags, did you remove the money from the bag"Levi ask with pants breathe...
"No..... He just took away our means of getting into the palace..... No ticket, no palace.... "
"He said more horrors are coming, we shouldn't have slept here Francis, we are going to die before the dawn of day..... "

"Well i think it's a letter probably stating the reason he committed suicide... "Jacob said
"How did you get it? Mary ask
"Well i took it from the table when everyone was crying and pulling the rope from his neck, i hope whatever he might have written down gives us a clue or something"he said as he unfold it, he crackled his throat, exhales shapily and begin to read the letter

She put on woebegone face as the memory Of jeremy resurfaced in her head....
She thought they were a step closer to finding out what happened to Manny or knowing wherever she is... But their efforts all turn fruitless as they find out their lead, the person they leaned on to tell them, to help them, to give them a clue is dead..commited suicide....
She thought she knew Manny, thought she know everything about her but it all turns out she know nothing... Sharon was righy, she know nothing about Manny... She wonder who Manny is in reality....
Instead of dialing Sharon's numbet, she decided to try calling Manny again praying and hoping in her heart she picks, she answers.....
She inhale deeply as the phone begin to ring......
She clenched her fist when the call wasn't answered... She called again but no one answered...
"Where are you Manny...?she muttered to herself....
She hopes and prays she isn't dead.... She quivered in her spines and quickly put the thought away, her friend cant be dead... She shouldn't have such thoughts.. She need to be hopeful... She is optimistic her friend is okay..... She is doing fine....
Her face sullen when her inner minds keep ringing to her that Manny wasn't okay, something could, must have probably happened to her....
She quickly tap the screen of her face whe'a message came in... She huffs when she realise it was Sharon, a message telling her Where the housekey is... She quickly check the place and pick up the key...
For a moment, she just stood thinking of the possible places Manny could be hanging out in.....
She quickly insert the key on the door when nothing came to her head...
She open the door and push it wide open...
With a huff she drag her feet inside... Close the door back and threw herself on the chair....
She wonder where Sharon could have gone to.....why Sharon was so sure Manny isn't in trouble.....
Maybe she knew better, even if she doesn't really Manny tpp well the way she thought she do... She know Manny will avoid her calls and that scare her, the feeling that something terrible has happened to Manny prick a fear in her heart, a great fear that is clouding her thinking.....
She stood up from the chair, was she worrying too much, could Manny be alright as Sharon has said... She dial Manny's number again..
She waited patiently but no one answered....
Could she have been involved in some kind of accident and no one is aware...
Her body shook with the possibility of it..... If that was the case, Manny would have found a way to call them.....
She was famished, she drag her feet to the kitchen... She open the pot and then sting back the cover of the pot.... She quickly open the fridge, she sigh, a sigh of relief when she realise her fried potatoes were still there....
She pick them up and heat them on the microwave...
She tossed a strap of her hair that was falling on her face to another side of her hair....
She was still confused on why Jeremy has written Maggie instead Of manny on that letter, could Jacob be right, could Manny has changed her name to Maggie.. But why, why would she do that.... Why would she date him, plan a wedding with him without telling her... Why did she keep so much secrets from her....
She hope and pray she get the answers to her questions...
Jeremy has committed suicide because he was heartbroken.... Manny.. Maggie broke his heart and he resorted to suicide....
She try to put herself in his choose. Manny..Maggie has broken his heart same way Francis has broken hers.. She is shattered, devastated.. Hurt..she has actually thought of dying....
A memory of that moment she has cut him having sex with that club slut creep into her head..... Francis destroyed her lives,shattered her dreams with him.. She was angry.. Bitter that a part of her still loves him, still yearn for him.. Still want to hold him, still want to listen to his lies.....
tears flowed unchecked down her cheeks and dripped from her chin. She was too sad to cry out or wail, she just stood there as still as a statue while the magnitude of her broken heart swept over her......
Before now, she has always thought the word HEARTBREAK sounds so childish, like something flimsy, something one should be able to cast off with a happy reflection or the smile of a friend. But heartbreak is nothing of the sort. It sits inside like the germ seed of depression, just waiting for the right conditions to grow, to send out roots to choke the hope out of your heart. It is the trough in which one struggle to return to the peak, always afraid that this time the rungs will be too slippery, too far apart or simply not there at all......
She sniff as uncontrollable tears run down her cheek.....
She quickly put off the microwave and slide down to the floor and gave way to more tears

"Come on Sharon, you know i wouldn't do that.... Do you have a duplicate of my key...?
Sharon suck her teeth... "The door was open... "
"Oh...! He exhales... "So how is my beautiful angel doing... "He said walking towards her.... He lean his head down to her....
"Not now Pope... "She said pushing his heaf away.... She quickly stood up.... "Has the deal be done...?
"What deal?Pope replied tightening the towel in his waist
"Come on Pope, don't give me that, you are supposed to ambushed Manny yesterday and collect her car, but up till now, i haven't seen Manny neither i heard anything about the car, have you already sold it and taken the money for yourself.....?
"We don't sell cars within 24hours,we need to make ready the important documents required to sell it.... "
"Why i haven't heard from Manny, she didn't come home last night and she hasn't returned till now....? Sharon ask anxiously
Pope bug out his eyes..... "How would i know where she is, she must be somewhere partying...... "
"You took her car......
"I didn't take the car.... "Pope interjects.... "There was a little snag in the operation, Manny never showed up in that road.... "
"Liar, i am very sure Manny drove through that road, she told me herself.... "
"My boys and i stood in that road for hours, we didn't see Manny nor his car..... "
Sharon quiver in her spines as she the worst thoughts sink into her head...."Pope, where is Manny?

FRANCIS LEAN ON THE DOOR OF HIS STUDY, the thought of Mary overwhelmed his head, his mind... It clouds his head.... He wonder how he was going to prove to her that what happened wasn't intentional, he was drugged.... He try to remember the girl's face, the girl mary has caught him banging.....the image that came to his head wasn't clear, he went in and pick up one of his artwork.... He stare at Mary's picture in the wall, he loves and he is not going to let her go, no matter what he has to do, he has to get her back but first he needs to prove to her he is telling the truth, that he was set up.. But how he will do thatbis something he doesn't know, wasn't sure of....
He lower his knees to the ground ,thinking of the possible ways he can get to the bottom of the issue.. His instincts tells him her friends are responsible,her friends hated him, he knew that for a fact, they will do anything to prove he is not the right guy for her.. But he was ready to prove them wrong, he will find all possible means to prove his innocence and Mary will come to realise her friends aren't the people she thought they were.....
With a feeling of eagerness and optimism, he quickly stood up, walk to where he has slingling threw ihis shirt on....
Without hesitation, he wore the polo and left the house......

Mary greeted her but the girl snub her greetings.... She didn't mind, she just went straight to the point.... "Am looking for a guy call Jeremy, he just moved into this compound a week ago.... "

Mary thank her wondering why the girl was acting so weird...

"Jeremy... "The boy shouted and rushed to him...
Mary shudder.... With trembling mouth she muttered... "He is dead"

CARLOS WIDEN HIS EYES AS HE READ THE NEWS HEADLINES....
He chuckled at the thought of the headline, he quickly pick the remote and change it to another channel, then he thought about his wife coming home, he wonder why she will want to come home again, Cassandra was problem.. He shook his head shabbily as he change back the channel to news....
He quickly turn his gaze to the door when it open, he smile when he saw chief Buzo.....
"Buzo Buzo,i thought you went for the elite party meeting... ?
Buzo shook his head, sat on a chair opposite him and put his walking stick beside him....
"Samantha.... "Carlos called out....
Samantha answered and quickly rushed in after the third call....
"Get a drink for my friend... "Carlos said
Samantha nodded... She came back with a bottle of wine with a glass on a tray...
She grunts when she saw the way Buzo was starring at her, she quickly drop the tray and left them...
One of Carlos men standing by quickly took the bottle and pop it open, he pour a bit on the glass... Then he went back to his position...
"Have you heard? Buzo ask carrying the glass..
"Heard what? Carlos ask back with curiosity
"I was told fleet of cars drove into the community this morning..... This can only mean one thing"
"It means he is in town"Carlos replied shapily
"Are you sure Azuk is going to delivered the message....?
"Why wouldn't he?
Buzo drop the glass on the tray back... "Well for one thing, he hates us, i can see through his feigned civility"
"If it is true he is in town, we just have to invite him again ourselves, since we cant trust Azuk with the job..."
"Exactly my point.... "
"No matter what, Ferico Carter is another rich man in this community, we need to get him on our side by all means necessary, The elite party chairmanship election will soon be starting,the present Chairman has the support of the top bourgeois in the party, if we can get a man like Ferico Carter on our side, we will surely get back that mantle of power that was snatched from us... "
"How will that be possible, he is not a member of the party?
Carlos snort... "Well we will just have to make him a member, we will have to make him understand that all the top men in the society belong to this party and if he is a man who swin in opportunitieshe tends to benefit from, then we will have no problem.... "
Buzo pick up the drink and gulp down a little of it.. "There might be a little laspe there, we don't know anything about Ferico Carter, why do you he will want to listen to this.... ?
Carlos giggled... "My friend, sometimes you talk like a child, men with power always yearns for more power and money is power, nobody is contended in the state they are, i believe Ferico Carter to be an opportunist,he will be aware of the money he tends to derive from this if he join the elite club and most importantly become our ally.... "
"Well lets just hope your plan of cajoling him works...."
"I would be cajoling him, he will join of his own free will, so what do you say if we invite him over for lunch tomorrow.... "
"That will be good"he said pick up the bottle and pour the wine on it.... "I heard there is a new DPO in town"
"Carlos gritted"The old DPOwas a bit useless, i hope we can put this one to good use...
"Perhaps we can also invite him over.... "
Carlos scoffs.. "The new DPO is not someone we should be worrying about now, lets get Ferico Carter on our side first, the rest things will be second... "

"Yes sir"Both inspector Kess and Philip blared out
"I need you to brief me on everything i need to know about this town"Mr Billie the new DPO said
Both inspectors wink at each other....
"There is really nothing much that can be tell about this town"Philip said
Mr Billie reclined his bavk in his chair.... "I learnt some series of murders in this town went down the drain like that without apprehending the culprits"
"That's true sir"Kess said with a grunt...
"That's okay, but i want you to know, as from today onward, those nonsense won't be happening again, anyone who dares to commit a crime will surely face the law irrespective of who they are, i hope this message can be spread throughout the community"

"I know...."she snap, she spun around......
"They are just going to get exactly what they deserve..... "Zuru added
"That is it, this whole revenge thing really bothers me,revenge only leads to more bloodshed and i totally don't want to be on the centre of it all.... "
Zuru exhales, he stood up and walk up to her, he hold her hands... "The only blood that will be shed will be theirs, i promise you that... "
She impugn with a nod....
"There is absolutely nothing for you to worry about, this whole thing will be over soon.... "He added...

"I can't believe she find that out"Giselle said leaning her head on his chest..
She quickly pulled her head from him when the door open....

He stood up to meet him.... "Did you bring them.... ?He ask...
"I did"Azuk replied giving him an evelope.....
Pious collected it, open it and brought out the pictures from inside it.... He spread the pictures on the table....
"Are these the chiefs? Giselle ask as she lour her head to take a closer look...
"Yes, those are the eight members of the pack"Pious replied...
Giselle pick up one.. "Who is this one...?
"His name is chief Azuka, he owes a spa resort in the outskirt of this town..... "
"And this....? She ask pointing at it..
"That is chief Marcus, one of the shareholders in my father's company...
"What about this one? She ask picking another picture
"Thats chief Mayo,i heard his daughter was once married to the king but unfortunately she died before o got here... ,the one next to him is Chief Ayu, and the next is chief Odumodu, he owes the largest hotel in the community. "
"What about him? She ask pointing to another picture...
"That's Buzo, he is a palmwine merchant,his palmwine has extended to the far end of the country,the one next to him is chief Joseph... "
"What about the last one....? She ask
"That's Carlos.. "Azuk said
"He is the leader of the pack"Pious added with disgust as he look at Carlos smiling face in the picture .....

Claude glance at him...
"Oops, busted"Desmond muttered
"Alright dear, you can go now, your teacher is waiting for you"Claude said with a smile...
Liza frown and drag her feet as she walk away...
"I told you to keep your father away from her... "Claude snap the moment Liza was out of sight..
"You mean her grandfather.....?
"You know he is bad influence on her... "Claude said irritated..
"No matter what we do, in the end, he is still her grandfather, we can't stop her from seeing him.... "

Claude gritted and bit her lips when she realise she was going nowhere with the conversation .....she sat back on the chair....
Desmond exhales shapily and sat opposite her... "You need not worry about anything, i can assure you that our daughter won't be anything like my father. "
"I have been meaning to ask, what really happened to the late king?
Shock engulf Desmond.... "Why are you asking that... "
"Because am curious"
"Well you know the story, it was said his son killed him"
"Do you believe that? Claude ask
Desmond huffs, wondering why she was asking, does she know anything...
"I don't know what to believe, they were all speculations back then, no one really knows the true story.... "
"Well i don't think his son killed him"Claude said shapily
"Do you know who did?Desmond ask eagerly waiting for her answer..

Mary huffs,tinged with a deep breathe as she saw Jacob coming....
"Thank you"She muttered the moment Jacob reach the door.....
"And you are...? Sharon ask as she grope her eyes on him, damn he was so cute..
He had tousled dark hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerising deep ocean blue, flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was strong and defined, his features molded from granite. He had dark eye brows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His perfect lips ripe for the kissing.
"Oh.... Am Jacob"He said with a smile extending his hand for a handshake....
She reciprocated the smile, she quiver as she shook hands with him, his hands were, solid.. Muscular.... His smile made him devilishly handsome,his strong arched eyebrows were so thick that she thought it could be illegal,its illegal for one to be too handsome, too perfect and structured,she saw the flecks of silver in his eyes, he had a distinck checkbone and angular jaw....... "Hi....Am Sharon"She muttered.....
Mary fake cough made her realise she was still shaking him, she quickly remove her hand....
He is fair, few inches taller than the two of them, slim and has the perfect face... The killer beauty any girl will kill for,he had the kind of face that stop you in your tracks and leaves glowering and yearning for him.....
"He is Manny's friend"Mary interjects her thought....
"Oh my God, he is the gentleman she spoke about"Sharon blared out, she has seen hus pictures on Manny's phone, she didn't recognize him, of course, he was much more cute in reality... So perfect in creativity..... Too good to be real....
"I actually came to see her but then she told me Manny hasn't come home since yesterday "Jacob said
Sharon wink at Mary, she huffs cursing Mary, why can't she keep her mouth shut..... "Yes, we haven't seen her but i believe she is fine, she is my friend, she must probably be with her friends partying somewhere"
"Your friend doesn't think so"He said rolling his eyes at Mary....
"Manny is missing, i don't know why that is so hard to believe... "She scurred irritated....
"Don't mind her, Mary has always be like thus, she always worry, she just don't understand that sometimes people will want to be alone.. "
"Not picking phone calls, not replying messages..... "Mary interjects
"She just don't want disturbance, sometimes we call that girls period, i think she just want to clear her head... "Sharon said
"What are you saying Sharon, Manny is our friend, she has no reason to aviod our calls, i really have a terrible feeling that my friend is not ok, believe it or not, we have to find Manny.... Please... "
"Okay....lets just sit first.. "Jacob said as he sat down on the chair he stood up from earlier...
Mary and Sharon sat beside each other....
Jacob gritted"Okay, Sharon do you know any of friends that she could be with or that can know where she is..... ?
Sharon exhales shapily, she roll her eyes as she try to remember..... "I know a friend, her name is Sandra"
"Do you know how we can reach her, do you have her mobile number....?
"Yes..... But i deleted it a long time ago.... "
Jacob sigh, then he recline his back on the chair...
"So do you know any other person,any other friend of hers...? Mary ask anxiously
"I thought you know Manny very well, aren't you supposed to know her friends....? Sharon retorted..
"I have called all the ones i know, non have seen or hear from Manny"Mary said with irritation in her voice
"Do you know any other person, maybe someone she sees on daily basis.....?
Sharon exhales tinged with a feeling of disgust.... "Manny is a grown woman, i know her very well, if she doesn't want us to know where she is, she must have her own reasons, besides she has done this to me before.... "
"She has.....? Jacob snap
"When was that? Mary ask
Sharon suck her teeth... "You remenber when you and your boyfriend...
"Ex boyfriend.. "Mary cut in..
"Boyfriend, ex-boyfriend whatever went on a vacation, Manny left home for a week,she didn't tell me anything, no calls, no messages, no nothing, so while you here worrying yourself to dead, Manny is somewhere enjoying herself, probably partying with some malewhores.... "
"I always call Manny during that i went on a trip with.... "She swallow hard as the thoughts of Francis creep into her head... "Him, and Manny always answer my calls.... "
"Well she didn't answer mine, and the way i see it, she is doing the exact same thing she did that time.... "
"But i saw Manny at home the day i came home....."
"Because that was the day she came home, and what was her excuse, she couldn't take my calls because she was up to something and she didn't want to jeopardize it with my calls, she also said there was no strong network.... "
"It doesn't make any sense... "Mary interjects impugned.. "You said Manny stayed put for a week, and it wasn't even up to a week before i came back from that trip and i saw Manny at home..... "
"One week, four days, three days, i can't remember, you don't expect me to keep such unimportant things in my head, point is,Manny has done this before, and she is repeating again, so piece of advice, stop been so ruffled about it"Sharon retorted....
"That's ok... "Jacob interrupted..... "I think Manny is fine where ever.....
"Stop saying that... Explain this, hundreds miss calls, countless messages... Yet non is replied, even the devil isn't like that.... Something is definitely wrong"
"Alright, it's logical something could really be wrong, Sharon please, do you know anyone else who can help us... "
"Yes i do, there is a boy Manny always go to, she probably sees him as her male bestfriend or whatever, his name is Jeremy.... "
"Wait how come i don't know about this boy"Mary interjects....
"Like i said, you don't know Manny as well as i do.... "Sharon replied harshly, she exhales shapily then she continue.. "He lives at no 114,okotuta street.. But i still stand my ground, Manny is probably somewhere celebrating the good things of life, while we are here thinking she is dead... "
"Manny isn't dead"Mary corrected slightly infuriated at Sharon outburst....
"Okay, do you perhaps have a phone number that we can call this Jeremy guy with... ?Jacob ask
"I once had his phone number, but i deleted it when i realized he was no use to me.... "
Jacob huffs"I guess we will just have to go to the address.... "
"Excuse me... "Sharon said, stood up from the chair and walk out, and head straight for her room

"No 114 okotuta street"Mary called out the address aloud the moment they got there....
"Are you sure this is the right place? She ask feeling skeptical...
"The address said it is"Jacob saie
Maru look round the area, the compound was so unkept, she wonder who this Jeremy guy is that Manny will want to be friends with him, the compound doesn't look anything like like a rich person lives and Manny was a big fan of rich guys......
She watch as Jacob knocked on the door.....
"Who be dat? A baritone voice sounded from inside
Mary quiver a bit at the sound of the voice, she pants with heavy breathe as the door open, a young guy probably in his early thirties or late twenties stood beside the door, his face was rugged, a bit rough, probably because of the injury marks that made a big mark on his left cheek....
They greeted him, he hesitated before he replied, Mary wonder if that was the Jeremy, the so called Manny's friend...
"Please are you Jeremy? Jacob ask
"Who is looking for him?
"He is a friend of my friend.... "Mary jump in
Therr was silence for a moment, fear grip her spines when the boy wasn't replying.....
"I think the Jeremy you are looking for move out from here a week ago, am a new tenant here, i just move in three days ago... "
Mary sigh, a sigh of relief tinge with frown lines encroaching on her forehead, why didn't he just say he wasn't Jeremy the first time, she wonder why some people can be so annoying
"Do you have any idea where Jeremy could have moved to? Jacob ask...
The boy shook his head... "I think you should ask the neighbors, they might know something..... "
"Okay, thank you for your time"Jacob said as the person close the door....
Mary exhales as they exchanged glances..... "All the transport here was for nothing... "
Jacob giggled... "Don't say that yet... "
Mary suck her teeth as Jacob knock on another person's door....
It wasn't long before a woman with a baby in her hand opened the door....
They greeted her.... And she reciprocated the greeting with impugn eyes....
"Please i was looking for Jeremy, the boy staying in the house he use to stay directed us here.... "
The woman shook her head... "I don't know where he is staying.... "
Mary bit her lips, another loose end...
"Mammy, i know where bros Jeremy park go o... "A boy said from inside..
Mary sigh, a sigh of relief when the boy came to the door, she roll her eyes when she saw the dirty stare the mothet gave the boy, it was obvious she knows and she doesn't want to tell them, neither does she want her son....
"Com on, go back inside.. "She raved at the boy who left without hesitation...
"Please ma, if you know where he is staying now, you need to tell us"Jacob said
"I don't know and my son don't know anything... "She said about to close the door but then Jacob held it....
"I understand ma that we are strangers and disclosing ones information to a stranger is really not a good thing, but our friend is missing and he is the only one who can help us find her... "Mary said....
She quickly remove her phone from her pocket when she realise the woman was still skeptical, the woman must have seen Manny come to see him, she quickly stroll to Manny's pictures... "Here, that's my friend"She said showing her the picture... "You must have probably see her"She added...
"I know her"The woman said.... "But"
"But what"Mary ask curiously
The woman sigh"They had a fight, she is the main reason Jeremy move out from this compound..... "
"I don't understand, i thought they were friends... "Mary said
"No, they were dating"
Shock swept through her, dating, Manny never mentioned she was dating anyone, she never even mentioned Jeremy's name to her......
"They actually set a date for a wedding, Jeremy was so happy that he had to buy everyone drinks"The woman added
"What... Wedding?mary blared out shocked tinged with surprise..... She couldn't believe it, she wonder if Sharon knew all this, was she the one who was kept in the dark.....
"Please if you know where he is staying now, you need to help us.... "Jacob said when he saw the shocked expression in Mary's face
"Am coming"The woman said..
"You didn't know all this, did you? Jacob ask
Mary took a deep breathe... "If i knew, i wouldn't be shocked as i am now... "
"So Sharon was right then,you don't really know your friend as you think you do"
They focus their attention on the woman as she came to light...
"Here is his address... "She said giving him a piece of paper....
"You must never tell him i gave this to you"she added
"We wouldn't, thank you for your help.... "
"If you did see your friend, please tell her to resolve issues with him, Jeremy really loves her and he is very hurt"She said..
"We will"Jacob said...
They both watch as she went inside the house and lock the door again
"So should we go to the address right now? Jacob ask...
Mary exhales and folded her arms... "I have been thinking, if they had fixed a date for a wedding wthen what stopped them, why did they break up...?
"Maybe they didn't break up, maybe they just had like a break or minor problems.... "
"No, the way that woman sounded, its more like a break up, do you think Jeremy has something to do with Manny's disappearance...?
"Why do you think so? Jacob ask curiously....
"Look at the bright side, i think manny broke his heart, his feelings were hurt, very hurt as the woman has put it,maybe he thought the only way he can get back at her was to get rid of her..... "
She shudder as the thoughts filled her head... "Oh no, could he have killed Manny?

Jacob grunts, why does that witch always tend to ruin things for him.... He quickly change into his clothes.....
"Did she suspect anything....? He ask with gritted teeth...

Annabel didn't reply, she just toss her dirty clothes in the wardrobe.....
"Did you give her any reason to suspect?Jacob ask anxiously...

"I don't think she did.... "She replied shabbily...
Jacob exhales, he check his trouser pocket to see if the car key was there.. Then he walk close to her with the intention of kissing her but she drip away from him..
"What...? He ask drawing near her again..
"Just go Jacob, you don't want your wife to be waiting so long for you, afterall, you are home.... "
"And who said i can leave home before she arrive"He said drooling his fingers on her carves...
"Just go"She blared out pushing him aside.....
Jacob grunts.... "Alright fine, i will leave, but not for long.... "He said and kiss her on the cheek, then on the lips... He frown when he realise she wasn't responding to his kisses....
"Bye Anna"He muttered with clenched teeth... then he left the room...
Annabel exhales then she sat down on the bed. What exactly is she doing, he is married, not to anyone but the person she calls her best friend.....
She bit her lips and lie on the bed, looking for all pros and cons to avert her situation.....

The memories of the past creep into his head the moment the driver drove into the compound, into his mansion, he close his eyes for a moment and pray for strength to fight this fight....
Giselle murmuring woke him from his thoughts...

The driver park the car and stop the engine....
They came down from the car the moment it raced to a stop.....
Pious look back and see the other cars behind them were just entering the compound....
He smile when he saw his friend, his right hand man that has arrived before him coming out from the house....
"Mr Carter" Pope, his friend said...
They hug and shook each other hands...
"Giselle"He said and hug her also...
They stood as they wait for Zuru and his wife to come out from the other car...
"Where is Azuk? Pious ask when he didn't see him anywhere.....
"He went to his house lastnight, but i think he will come here the moment he knows you are here.... "
Pious smile as he saw Zuru and Kahefa with some guys he has brought along to secure the mansion from the predators, the predators he will soon vanquish....

The camera grimaced in pains, he cough as his mouth began to gush blood....
"Tell me who sent you? The thug raved at him with another heavy punch...
The camera boy moan and grimace in pains, he spat out blood, he furrow his brows when he realise he was feeling pains in his tooth, he must have probably lost his tooth...... "I did it on my own"He groan at the thug
"You can make this pains you are feeling go away if you just give me a name of who sent you.... "
"No body sent me.... "He snapped infuriated..
The thug shrugs"Then i guess, i will just keep torturing you until you get the name out of your tongue.... "he said and threw him another punch which sent the camera boy to the floor.....
The camera pants in pains, he try to stand up but fell down back..... He telling him who sent him wasn't optional, the chief will kill him if he rat him out.....
The thug grab his neck.... "Tell me,who sent you? He hollered at him
The camera boy chulkled..... "I will die first.... "he said irritated....
The thug let go of his neck the moment the door opened.....
"You are welcome boss"The thug said...
The camera lift his to see who just came in, he grunts heavily, this must be the famous Ferico Carter... His instincts were wrong, he actually thought he was white.....
"What did you say he did again? Pious ask...
"He was caught installing cameras in the rooms.... "Pope replied
"Release him... "Pious said shapily and walk out from the room

Jacob curse himself for doing the stupid thing he is about to do, he doesn't love Rose, neither does he love that stupid Annabel, the only he is still keeping Rose is because of his father, she is like a daughter to his father.. He just have to bear with her until his stupid father hand over the company to him...
With a huff, he turn the steering and drove into the plaza, he wonder he will get for her to bribe her, a gift with sweet believable lies will do the magic, she will forget everything, she just hope that stupid Annabel didn't give her any reason to suspect he was in the house with her.
He raced the car to a stop and came out from the car....
Shock tinge with surprise swept through him the moment he saw the person leaning her back on a car..... He scoffs and walk close to her... She stare at het then grope his eyes on het, she was looking elegant, classy.. More lady like, very unlike the way she was four years ago. Her skin was perfect, glossy and her smooth face was flawless... Impeccable.......

Abigail lour her head, then she glance back at him again.... "What do you want Jacob?
Jacob scoffs... "Four years and you still have that irritation in your tongue..., you must think of me often"
Abigail suck her teeth, she was inclined to get into the car and zoom off but then whoosp, her husband is still in the plaza...
"Isn't it a bit awkward, i mean you leaning your back so comfortably in someone else car.... Because i know there is no penny to your name to afford a car, so take my advice, shift your body abit from that car, i wouldn't want the owner to embarrassed you in a public place like this.. You know worse case scenario, people will begin to gather and then they will start laughing.. Really not accentuate.... Not good at all"

The camera boywas filled with fear as he came down from the taxi, he look around his compound... He wonder why those men release him, but he know he won't find an answer to that if he still remain in town, he needs to leave, he need to go far from Akpatu.....
He quiver when he thought he has lost his keys, he tinge with relief when he realise he has left it under the doormat, he quickly check under and pick up the key, he will leave town with the advance Carlos has paid him with... He quickly open the door, he flung it wide open.... Shock tinge with great fear swept through him when he saw a guy sitting on his bed, he turn around to run away but then another guy block him at the door.. Just then he knew who has sent them..... He was at the verge of screaming then they showed him a gun.....
With trembling feet he said"I didn't tell them anything... "
"Doesn't matter.... "Bobby said from the door..
Ted stood up from the bed and walk up to him...
The camera boy realise things isn't going to end well, he needs to make a move than die like a coward... Without hesitation, he pushed Ted, and turn to run away but Bobby hold him, he try to fight him off but Ted grab him from Bobby grip...
"Strong boy"Ted baritone voice muttered ...
Without hesitation, Ted snap his neck.....
The camera let go of the ghost the moment his neck broke......
Ted carried his lifeless body and put him on the bed, then he put the pillow underneath his head....
"Poor boy, he didn't wake up from his sleep..... "
Bobby chulkled, they palced the key inside, then they close the door and left the compound....

"Seriously.... Instead of going to King Jafars palace to save the princess, we are here hunting rabbits and crickets. "
Levi stop and exhales when he lost sight of it.. "Your big mouth is driving our meal away, and its squirrels not crickets. "

"If it wasn't for your hunts of rabbits which we probably isn't to catch anytime soon, we would have been in Jafars palace by now, its getting dark..... "

HE MOAN SOFTLY AT THE intense pleasure he was having... it was like a dream, but then he open his eyes and woke up to reality. He watch her as she bubble sucking his hard morning glory...
Annabelle smile at him when she realise he was awake....
"A nice way to wake up your baby"Jacob muttered...
He adjusted himself to give her a better position to do the job....
He let out another moan when she suck his shaft, gagging the full length in her mouth... ..
Annabel let go when her phone begun to ring, she sigh when she stare at the caller..... Then she drop the phone back... "Your wife will never stop calling.... "She said to him...
"Ignore her"Jacob said pushing her mouth to his d**k....
Annabel exhales and stood up to her feet.. She tossed her hair to one side...
"What now.... ?Jacob ask when he noticed the change in her expression ..
"What are we really doing?She ask with clenched teeth
Jacob sat up on the bed.. He took a deep breathe tgen turn his gaze to her...."What do you mean what are we doing, hours ago you were so happy we are together.... What is this now....?
She quiver when a knock sounded on the door....
"Are you expecting anyone? Jacob ask...
"No"She replied shabbily wondering who might be knocking.....
Naked she walk from the bedroom to the sitting room... She sigh when she saw their clothes on the sitting room, she quickly pick up her nightgown and put it on when the knock came again.... "Who is there? She ask...
When no reply came, she quickly pick Jacob clothes ,his shorts and her pant and threw it in the back of a chair...
She grunts when the knock came again....slightly infuriated at who might be disturbing so early in the morning, she open the door with the key and turn down the knob..... Shock swept through her when she saw who was standing at the door.....
"Oh My......
"He didn't come home"Rose cut her short with a sob....
Annabel look aback, she sigh, a sigh of relief when she realise the clothes she has thrown at the back of the chair were not visible....
"Oh Rose..... "She muttered as Rose shed uncontrollable tears
She hug her, as Rose shrugs and sniff.... She felt pity for her.. But what can she do, they were both in love with the same man......
She loosened her grip from her, she wasn't sure if she should invite her in, what if she finds Jacob is here, what if Jacob comes out from the room....
She blocked Rose way when she try to go in.... Then she hold her and help her went in when she realise it will be stupid to stop her from coming in.... ,she led Rose to another chair opposite the one she has hidden the clothes... She wasn't sure how she was going to grab the clothes from the back of the chair without Rose seeing her.....
"Let me get you something.... "She muttered.....
She close the door the moment she went into her room.....
"Who was at the.....
"Shhhh"She signal him to keep quiet.... Then she went close to him.... "Rose is here..... "
"What.... "Jacob muttered jumping out from the bed

Breathing heavily, she watch the shower water clatters on the floor.. The memory of what happened the previous day filled her head... Could she has seen him ....could she has seen his ghost...
She shiver greatly as something fell down.. She pants when she realise it was her soap....
What was wrong with her..... She took a deep breathe as she assured herself she didn't see anything.. It could be just her imagination.... She step into the shower and folded her hands as the water splatter on her......

Annabel look at the clothes are the back of the chair.. She thought of all possible ways to get the clothes from there.. But it all beats down to one thing.... Rose might see her... She avert her eyes from the clothes and walk straight to where she was sitting.... "Here... "She said giving her a glass of water...
Rose collected it and drank a bit of it.. Then she drop the other one in the rug stool beside the chair....
"He must have taken that girl to a hotel"Rose said infuriated...
Annabel gritted... "Have you tried calling his father, he could be there.... "
Rose swallowed hard.... "I called him, Jacob isn't there, since he isn't there, i figured it out, he is either in a hotel with one of his whores, or he is in one of the whores houses, either way, he is with a LovePeddler....."She said irritated....
"Am so sorry Rose, i never thought Jacob will be capable of doing such a thing...... "
Rose wipe the tear that was falling from her eyes...... "I gave my all to that bastard, i loved him even more than i should.. Yet......... "She sniff... She clean her eyes with the back of her palm...
Annabel felt pity for her as she look at her reddened eyes....
"How could he, how could he cheat on me like this.... "She said as more uncontrollable tears rush down her cheeks..... She stood up....
Annabel became restless the moment Rose begin to pace around..... Her heart skip when Rose began to move to the chair she has hidden the clothes behind... "Rose please you need to stop crying, i mean....
Rose sniff"This tears aren't for him.... "
"Well whoever they are for, you need to stop shedding them, if it's true, Jacob is with a LovePeddler now, he doesnt deserve one drop of your chair.... "She said praying she doesn't walk to the back of the chair..... She ruffled when Rose sat on the chair..... Just then she knew everything is going to hell if Rose look back and lour her eyes down....

He exhales and was inclined to walk away when no reply came..., he knock again.....
He waitef patiently for seconds. Then he frowned when no reply came..... "That's it"He muttered and turn around.....
He was few steps away frol the door when he heard the cranking sound of the door opening..... He quickly turn around and there she was.....
He fake cough, then he convinced himself that staring at her won't do him any good....
"Are you okay....? Adesa ask walking up to him
"Yes am fine.... "He replied shapily avoiding her touch..... Mphh.... Did you happen to see my servant, i haven't see him since last night....?
Adesa shook her head then she remember what Francis has told her the previous day... He was going to rescue the princess..... "Oh no..... "She exclaimed doubting the possibility of him going there...
"What's oh no... ?Vuga ask curiously
"He is gone"Adesa blared out...
Vuga suck his teeth.... "Oh, he told me he was going home but i thought......
"That wasn't what he told me... "Adesa cut in.... "Didn't he tell you any other thing....? Adesa added
Vuga knit his brows... "Yeah, he also told me some stupid things, he said he was going to rescue my sister but i knew he was bluffing..... "

"Barbara, Azazes daughter, how did she know that boy was here in the palace..? Vuga ask anxiously

"Could Barbara be the spy....? Vuga ask
"If she is the spy, she wouldn't tell me the boy was trouble, she must have probably heard it somewhere.... "

"Or her father.... "Adesa added
"That isn't possible, Azaze wasn't there when my father fainted.... "
"Then someone must be giving him the information,a guard or a maid perhaps....."
"You are right, we need to find that person... "
Adesa sigh as a thought occur to her"It will be difficult finding that person, if my instinct are right that Azaze is the spy, then who we need to watch is Azaze, we watch Azaze closely, the person will go to him again..... "

Annabel prays in her heart that Rose doesn't go further as Rose pace in the room..... "You need to relax Rose, maybe he isn't even with any woman as you are thinking..... "

"Oh yes... The guy just bought the car, that's the reason he parked it here everytime"She replied with pounding heart
Annabel quiver when Rose stood up from the chair and begin to walk....
"Where are you going.... ?Annabel ask with shaking
"Going to ease myself.... "
Annabel heart skipped wshe knew for a fact, if Rose took a few more steps, there was nothing stopping her from seeing the clothes, Jacob's clothes... She already saw a car that look like his, if she sees the clothes, there was no lie stopping from believing Jacob is in the house....
"Emm, hold on, the toilet is a mess.... "She said shapily....
Rose huffs when her face begin to ring in her bag, she went to the chair she first sat down on when she came in....
Annabel sigh, a sigh of relief as Rose was paces away from the chair, she thank God for the phone call..
Rose furrow her brows when she saw the caller.....
"Who is calling...? Annabel ask when she saw the change in her expression
"It's him..... "
"Jacob? Annabel ask anxiously
Rose nodded
Shock swept through Annabel, what is Jacob doing,....
Rose gritted as the phone stop ringing, just then a message came in, she clicked on the message.... She lour her lips.... "He said he is home"
"Then go home to him"Annabel said shapily
She realise she was goo quick in her statement when Rose gaze at her..... "I mean, since he wants you to come home, it means he wants to tell you the reason he couldn't make it home last night, don't you want to hear the reason, go home and find out for yourself... "
"All he is going to tell me are bunch of lies"Rose interjects ....she inhale thn continue... "Let me just stay here, am in no to hear the lies that comes from his mouth... "She said, drop the phone on the back and begin to walk back towards the chair...
"Where are you going....? Annabel ask with a startled mind...
"Will you stop asking me that, i told you earlier am pressed.... "
"The toilet is a mess, let me go and clean it up.... "Annabel said standing up
"Don't worry.... "Rose said then she took another step....
"Oh no, the clothes..... "Annabel muttered
