A STATE-WIDE BROADCASTBY GOVERNOR NYESOM WIKE, CON, GSSRS, POS 21st OCTOBER 2020. My Dear Good People of Rivers State, 2. We appreciate and commend the peaceful nature of the on-going “ENDSARS” protests in Rivers State. 3. Sadly, it is becoming clear by the day that the protest has been hijacked by hoodlums to unleash carnage and destroy property. 4. Earlier today, some hoodlums attacked and destroyed Police Stations and Court buildings in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State. 5. Another set of hooligans were also on rampage at the Ikokwu spare parts markets disturbing public peace and damaging property. 6. As a Government, we cannot watch helplessly and allow trouble-makers to take the laws into their hands and use the current situation to create a state of panic and insecurity. 7. Consequently, the State’s Security Council met today and decided to take the following measures to secure lives and property in the State: (i) A 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Mile 1, Mile 2, Emenike, Ikokwu and Iloaubuchi arears of Port Harcourt from 6.30 p.m. today 21st October 2020. (ii) A 24-hour curfew has been imposed on the entire Oyigbo Local Government Area from 6.30 p.m. today, 21st October 2020; (iii) A 24-hour curfew has also been imposed on Oil mill area in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area; (iv) Security agencies are directed to enforce the curfew with effect from 6.30 p.m. today 21st October 2020; and (v). Local Government Chairmen are directed to mobilize vigilantes and work with security agencies to ensure that no hoodlum is allowed to disturb the peace or destroy lives and property in their Local Government Areas. 8. We urge all citizens to remain vigilant and report all suspicious characters to the security agencies for immediate action. 9. Let me appeal to our youths not to allow themselves to be used to roll-back the peace we are enjoying in the State under any pretext. 10. Thank you and God bless you all. https://www.facebook.com/672482079562653/posts/2306857832791728/ |

God punish the experts, for a long period of time businesses, education and every other such of livelihood were shot down by Nigerian government and experts couldn't advised the government to do something to salvage the hunger in the land and the current economic challenges rocking Nigeria, yet are busy on COVID-19 matters. May God punish them all and perish them and their household with something worst than COVID-19 Anybody or group of persons who may attempt to shot down this nation again and education using COVID-19 allegations will die untimely death and his/generations will never know peace till the world end. |
Whatever they are adopted, or plan to adopt. All we are praying for is that ASUU strike should come to an end and let students resume back to their academic activities. |
[[s]quote author=Golan007 post=94912722]Just say PDP rejects it. Absolutely nothing they can do about it. She's not a card carrying member of any party but a professional who has carried out her service to the president meritoriously. [/s][/quote]you are an illiterate |
Sirmwill:my brother just pray that both parties come to agreement. It's impossible for federal government to outsmart ASUU, infact the day Nigerian government will try it will be the day university education will crash in Nigeria |

![]() What impressed me in the post is the skillful writing. It's awful I must say |
![]() Well, politics in Nigeria is not an option to me, but I think PDP as a party is stupid in making decisions for the party flag bearer in Ondo State, they should have adopted Ajayi as the party flag bearer for the state and I strongly believe this choice would have given them an awful victory in this election. |

Mr lecturer I guess you are not proper informed about Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System (IPPIS) design by the federal government and its dealings. It's not about preventing lecturers working more than two universities as you said in your post, but IPPIS also strips them off their allowances they entitled. Moreover, the members of the federal and state legislators and government officials are looting the nation, ghost workers on government salaries payroll are the norms of the day, then, why the lectures who contributed intellectual to the future generations and wellness of the nation been forced on IPPIS when others junks in the national assemblies are getting bigger. If IPPIS must stay, then, let in be indoctrinated into all federal, state government parastatals and agencies. |
