I think when you use the correct data plan appropriate to your phone, your data will run normal. If you used airtel blackberry plan for android phone or other phones, you would be injuring yourself badly.

The other thing is that, the network with more speed will appear to consume more data because every time you open a page, every thing on that page is displays completely no matter the design of the website.

What's Airtel's plan for Android phones?

@sinizia I download effortlessly with glo any time I'm in Lagos. It depend on where you live tho but if you stay Lagos within Surulere-Iganmu-IkejaGRA-Bonny Cantonment-Victoria Island-Ikoyi-Lekki-Ajah-IbejuLekki-Epe areas then glo is your best bet.

MTN has the wider coverage from my experience moving around Naija still but mehn those guy annoy me.

I think you're right. My friends living in the SW gushes about the speed of Glo over there. It depends on areas.

MTN has the highest coverage but Airtel and Etisalat are more faster than it generally.

Glo has no difference between them and highway robbers. I did the 6gig sub and guess how much I've used from it? You guessed right - 0kb!! You won't even see the Edge or 3G sign to browse with. After a week of frustration I called them yesterday and insulted their customer care rep from the get-go. The woman was telling me to calm down trying to pacify me but I knew better after my first horrendous experience [the first time they never resolved the issue nor refunded me my 1k but yet I gave them this second chance] never to trust the slithering lips of Naija service providers. At the end of my 3-minutes rant I remembered Dayokanu's trio of - apoda, amukunmeko and dindinrin, and decided to end my rant with amukunmeko even though I don't know how to pronounce it well, before ending the call and throwing away the sim for good. Never in your life trust those băstards unless you see someone in your borough using their network effortlessly. Never sub for their Internet services on hearsays or based on their juicy offers. Those people are a crossbreed between Anini and Derico Nwamama. Bunch of arindins!!
