It seems peeps here have no idea of the current situation United are in. Look around guys, the Fergie era is gone. The last time we challenged for the title was 2012- 7 years ago when we won it. Since then, we've finished top 4 just twice out of 6 times- 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 6th (we finished below 2nd just once in 9 seasons before then).

Still think we're invincible? I bet not. The brand is still huge but the on-field success is nowhere near what it used to be. Since 2012 we haven't mount a single title challenge. Our average points tally during this period is 60 sth, that won't even get you int the top 4 these days, not to talk about winning the title, the last 2 of which were won with at least 95 points.

Now, given the condition and current state of the club, this is no time to be getting rid of quality players for emotional reasons. How hard will it be for City or Liverpool to get back on top if they lose a player like Pogba? Not that hard. If Pogba were in those clubs dem no born am well to dey utter those rubbish yarns. He'd be sold cos they can easily replace him.

Same can't be said about United. We have a leaky defense, an old man as the CDM of an unbalanced midfield as well as misfiring strikers. Pogba, for all his tardiness and issues, is the only qualify player we've got in that moribund midfield. I know he's an asshole and can't be arsed sometimes and when he uttered those words, I felt like selling him to Juve myself. But this is not the right time to be losing players like him.

There's a reason the club don't want to sell him. Once we get in new players and they start gelling well, then we will get rid of him, esp if he keeps uttering rubbish.

No one is saying Pogba is irreplaceable, it's just not wise to let the asshol3 go at this moment.

I keep hearing clubs will choose Pochetino, many big European clubs has changed manager this season, I don't see the likes of Juventus, Inter, Real Madrid, Barcelona scrambling over Poch. Even Chelsea just lost their manager, they prefer a rookie in Frank Lampard to overhyped Pochetino. Chelsea can afford to pay spurs Pochetino compensation package if they really rate him. Infact they will rather go back to Mourinho the 3rd time, if they cannot appoint Lampard.

Tackling and man marking is enough at clubs like Crystal Palace but top clubs need full backs that are as good going forward as they are at defending.
TAA and Robertson practically serve as auxiliary wingers for Liverpool, and we should be looking for such full backs.
Reminds me of the Heinze vs Evra situation. We should always go for attack-minded fullbacks.

And seriously if Ole comes out good, I'll be really happy. I've been a hardened supporter of Man Utd since I can remember, I'm surrounded be supporters of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and co. I'm probably the only United fan in my circle. All I care is for Man Utd to be back to their glorious days.

I'm just look at this thing differently from the way most of you guys do. Who doesn't love Ole as a player. He's one of the biggest legends at the club. But these things don't count when managing a club.. If Ole was a Raphael wicky or something, most people would be against him. But the fact that he's a club legend makes people blind to some things.

Nobody has said Ole will win treble next season. What has been said is that he should be given the chance to bring in his own players like the previous managers.

If by December he is failing and fans call for his sack there is no shame in that, and definitely should not lead to people deleting old posts.

If there was actually a list of players we'd love to sign, there should be players comfortable in their respective clubs on that list. Players that are not even thinking of moving right now. We should be creating news of our interest in them to keep them unsettled at whatever club they are..And if that was going to happen, it'd be happening before the end of the season or very early during the transfer window.

We all saw how United was linked with Maguire, Aderweild, e.t.c in the previous transfer window. These are players that are very comfortable in their previous club but because there were listed by Mourinho has players he'd want, we made them uncomfortable in their clubs.. Aldeweirld almost forced a move.

Harsh truth. I felt I was the only that noticed all Ole has upstairs is to constantly talk about the glory days and how he scored the winning goal far back 1999.. I mean clubs have long forgotten about some of the nice moments and are now concerned about Today. Ole seems not to have the necessary ingredients to propell united.
