Leyqute: It seems peeps here have no idea of the current situation United are in. Look around guys, the Fergie era is gone. The last time we challenged for the title was 2012- 7 years ago when we won it. Since then, we've finished top 4 just twice out of 6 times- 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 6th (we finished below 2nd just once in 9 seasons before then).
Still think we're invincible? I bet not. The brand is still huge but the on-field success is nowhere near what it used to be. Since 2012 we haven't mount a single title challenge. Our average points tally during this period is 60 sth, that won't even get you int the top 4 these days, not to talk about winning the title, the last 2 of which were won with at least 95 points.
Now, given the condition and current state of the club, this is no time to be getting rid of quality players for emotional reasons. How hard will it be for City or Liverpool to get back on top if they lose a player like Pogba? Not that hard. If Pogba were in those clubs dem no born am well to dey utter those rubbish yarns. He'd be sold cos they can easily replace him.
Same can't be said about United. We have a leaky defense, an old man as the CDM of an unbalanced midfield as well as misfiring strikers. Pogba, for all his tardiness and issues, is the only qualify player we've got in that moribund midfield. I know he's an asshole and can't be arsed sometimes and when he uttered those words, I felt like selling him to Juve myself. But this is not the right time to be losing players like him.
There's a reason the club don't want to sell him. Once we get in new players and they start gelling well, then we will get rid of him, esp if he keeps uttering rubbish.
No one is saying Pogba is irreplaceable, it's just not wise to let the asshol3 go at this moment. Bro, i get your FOOTBALLING reasons for insisting we don't let the idiot_ go for now, but there comes a point in one's life, after he's been pushed to the wall, he's got to stand up and say enough is enough. Enough is enough for Pogba. He's not a god and I'm tired of his BS. This dude has got no respect for us, and he's using his status to intimidate the club. I lost all respect for the fool when after our first match against Leicester last season, despite all the praises Mourinho had lavished on him, making him the captain after his WC exploits, he chose to disrespect that decision with his post-match interview. Google it. What message was he tryna pass about the club and Mourinho? I know Mourinho is a dolt and deserved to be sacked, but Pogba must've done a lot for Mourinho to strip him of the captaincy. Pogba is not a bigger star than Neymar Jr, but PSG have had enough of his disrespectful ways and came out publicly to say any player that doesn't want to continue with the club can fvck off. It takes a lot of balls to do that. PSG may never get a like for like replacement, but there's a limit to things they can tolerate. If Pogba had wanted to leave the club like Hazard without publicly disrespecting us, we won't have a problem with him. This fool has disrespected enough and we'll survive without him. He's not Messi or Ororo My blood boils when I see United fans on Twitter begging him to stay. Dafuq!! That moronn is not bigger than our prestigious club. United lost almost all the Busby Babes to a plane crash, the future stars of our club and England at that time, we passed through hell but like a Phoenix, we arose from that choas. Before Fergie came, we're struggling badly, have gone years without a league title and was well behind Loserfool, but gradually we emerged as champions for years. Yes, currently, things are hard for us. We have lost our way due to wrong decisions and bad recruiting processes, but we should never ever allow a spoilt French prick to use it as an avenue to disrespect us. I say enough is enough. For a good price, sell the assewipe_, United will rise again with or without Pogba. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 2:02pm On Jul 04, 2019 |
How art the mighty fallen. Pogba is no Gerrard, Scholes or Xavi, and despite publicly disrespecting the club, people feel he's irreplaceable.
If someone that doesn't know Pogba is just hearing about him, one would think he's the second coming of Zidane.
The nigga is no Micheal Laudraup, WTF made him irreplaceable? Great players have come and gone yet the club didn't crash. For a good price of 150m, the motherfucker_ should be sold and the money used to add two midfielders who really wants to play for the club, and I will bet my balls that United will prosper without him.
What's the special thing he's even achieved for us? He can't even win the annual fans or players' United player of the year award, and he's feeling like what? So, because the fans criticized him, he's getting emotional?
Padding stats with PKs against the lower and mid-table teams or luckily getting smuggled into ToTY doesn't make him irreplaceable. He'd fuvk off. I know for sure I have never, and will never miss him, at least not for his achievements for us so far. Next!!

footiemaniac: I keep hearing clubs will choose Pochetino, many big European clubs has changed manager this season, I don't see the likes of Juventus, Inter, Real Madrid, Barcelona scrambling over Poch. Even Chelsea just lost their manager, they prefer a rookie in Frank Lampard to overhyped Pochetino. Chelsea can afford to pay spurs Pochetino compensation package if they really rate him. Infact they will rather go back to Mourinho the 3rd time, if they cannot appoint Lampard. You're wrong on the emboldened. Being able to afford a player/coach doesn't necessarily mean you'd be able to get him. Tha bitter history between Tottenham and Chelshit means Tottenham would rather sell them a virus than allow Pochettino cross over to the Bridge. Moreover, Pochettino is very loyal and has come out multiple times in the past to say he won't coach clubs like Barcelona, Assanal and Chelshit who are rival clubs of the clubs he coached or played for. So, no, Chelshit won't go for Pochettino not because they don't like him, or because Lampard is better than him, but rather because Pochettino or Tottenham won't listen to whatever they have to say. |

afrodoc2: He seems very good defensively but he has very significant limitation going forward. Tackling and man marking is enough at clubs like Crystal Palace but top clubs need full backs that are as good going forward as they are at defending. TAA and Robertson practically serve as auxiliary wingers for Liverpool, and we should be looking for such full backs. Reminds me of the Heinze vs Evra situation. We should always go for attack-minded fullbacks. You've laid out my observations about Wan-Bissaka 100%. Attacking wise, he's very very limited, and when you factor in the fact that modern day full-backs are now auxiliary wingers, you'll get my reservation about the guy. I don't know why we have scouts or what direction Ole want to take us to - Mourinho's conservative approach or modern football attack style. Top clubs, from Barcelona to Madrid to Liverpool to Bayern, etc., all have full-backs that push up and serve as auxiliary winger to help the attackers, but yet after studying Wan-Bissaka, Ole is okay with just only defensive stability of his while forgetting that the best way to defend is attack. I kind of low key wish Crystal Palace would make him too costly for us so we'd consider a much cheaper and better option, but then then again, who's to say Ole won't go for a worse option or stick with Young? |

Am I the only one that's not impressed with this Wan-Bissaka fella? I watched him several times last season when the hype started, but I didn't see anything special about him. I hope we're not getting scammed paying the rumored £60m for him. That's excessive, IMHO.
Our scouts should look for better options in the range of £30 - 40m just like Rooney suggested. |

ChristoBam: And who talked about winning any treble. If Ole finishes 3rd next season, then he's tried..
When I say people would delete their posts, I'm talking about those that abused and called me names because I believe Ole shouldn't have been given the Job. I'd have given you 2 examples of such posts if I had time on my hands. So many posts aimed at me.
And seriously if Ole comes out good, I'll be really happy. I've been a hardened supporter of Man Utd since I can remember, I'm surrounded be supporters of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and co. I'm probably the only United fan in my circle. All I care is for Man Utd to be back to their glorious days.
I'm just look at this thing differently from the way most of you guys do. Who doesn't love Ole as a player. He's one of the biggest legends at the club. But these things don't count when managing a club.. If Ole was a Raphael wicky or something, most people would be against him. But the fact that he's a club legend makes people blind to some things.
Let's stop talking about this abeg. The appointment has been made, there's nothing there can be done.. Let's talk more about transfers. Na the koko now be that. Exactly what some United fans here are telling you. It's already too late and the board won't sack Ole just few weeks after giving him a new contract. So, the best thing is to give him a chance and see what he can do before deciding to call for his sack or not. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 8:52pm On Jun 02, 2019 |
afrodoc2: You need to calm down.
Nobody has said Ole will win treble next season. What has been said is that he should be given the chance to bring in his own players like the previous managers.
If by December he is failing and fans call for his sack there is no shame in that, and definitely should not lead to people deleting old posts.
Unless you are telling us what you would do if he starts doing well. I don't understand the guy sometimes. He prefers Poch to Ole just like me, but is he expecting the board to rescind Ole's contract and sign Poch without Ole being given any chance? For Christ's sake, Ole has not even bought a single player. If by December those that are pro-Ole wants him out, nothing wrong with that at all. He's given his chance and he didn't get it right. So he's got to go. No biggie. |

See the way you trash talked that Chelsea fan that shared a contrary view to what you said initially..But you're here complaining about giving opinion freely. But you started the insult first without provocation, insulting United fans who had different opinions from yours concerning Poch. United fans gave their opinions about Poch and you insulted them for it. You even insulted Weedtaker who didn't attack you. |

ChristoBam: Just like the way I've said some things in the past and was put on blast by these short-sighted United fans, and some of these guys ended up re-echoing what I said, y'all will see these things.
Y'all aren't ready to even blame Ole for any single thing, na only board board board una go dey shout.. If we end up not signing any players at all, y'all with shout board board, like the board has not supported the previous Utd managers in transfer markets in the past. They are always looking to purchase whichever player you want...
I know it's to early to criticize anyone for transfers, but with the signs of things, United is not going to make any big moves in the transfer window. How the fvck would Ole tell Rojo he's in his plans for next season. It's safe to say for Rojo to be in his plans then definitely Smalling and Jones are going nowhere.
If there was actually a list of players we'd love to sign, there should be players comfortable in their respective clubs on that list. Players that are not even thinking of moving right now. We should be creating news of our interest in them to keep them unsettled at whatever club they are..And if that was going to happen, it'd be happening before the end of the season or very early during the transfer window.
We all saw how United was linked with Maguire, Aderweild, e.t.c in the previous transfer window. These are players that are very comfortable in their previous club but because there were listed by Mourinho has players he'd want, we made them uncomfortable in their clubs.. Aldeweirld almost forced a move. Bro, making players we're targeting public is like a two-edged sword, you don't know which side might smite ya. What if we make our targets public and in the process of unsettling them in order for them to be sold, those players like Sergio Ramos, uses us to negotiate a fat ass contract and stay back in their clubs, haven't our plans backfired? And left us as the object of ridicule? It isn't as easy as you think, getting players these days is as hard as nails. I get where you're coming from because the way Ole was talking about the TW, it's normal to expect any United fan to hope that at least we've signed one player by now, but so far, we haven't. But let's just calm down and see what Ole and Woodward have in store for us before we castigate them. |
