Finally!
Let's spice this up with 15 units of Su-25s and 10-20 units of Super Tucanos for the NAF...Replace all Hilux vehicles with the IGIRIGI, get a dedicated IFV in about 250 units, ATGMs for troops, BH will be wiped out before the end of the year...
GOOD NEWS!!!

AlphaBravoIndia: No Bravery

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He has been here.
Brothers lie in shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he's been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Houses burnt beyond repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here.
Tracer lighting up the sky.
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here.
Old men kneel and accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A generation drenched in hate.
Yes, he has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

ObiOkpor: @siriusblack,what if some one entered through recruit and luckily got admission into NDA or any university, how possible is that and what rank will he/she attain?
Then he/she will follow the normal route..MANY peeps here became officers that way...joined as recruits with degrees, making it easier to get recommendations from Senior Officers for NDA admissions...they then did SSC for a year and are now offcrs...others still less than 21yrs of age just went straight to the RC training.

brownlords: Gen sirusblack and other officers in the house, please i need you to answer this for me.

What is the difference between DSS and Short service, which of them undertake programme in NDA.

Someone that got into NA through DSS, which rank is he likely to get to before retirement.

Thanks.
They are both quite similar but the DSS is mainly for "ready-made" professionals like Medical doctors...The SSC is for graduates...They both train at the NDA...the RC trains at the permanent site at Kawo...the SSC and DSS cadets train at the old site...RC cadets train for 5 years....SSC cadets, about 9 months...but you will have to be VERY good, as an SSC and DSS trained officer, to get into the Infantry and Armoured Corps..
On the second question, You can go wherever God takes you....many peeps ill tell you that the highest SSC and DSS officers can go, is as Major Generals...which means that you will keep the same salary scale even after retirement...But, if you stand out, the sky is the limit....the immediate past Chief of Air staff was SSC trained...the first female Major General too was DSS trained...Lt.Gen Chris Alli who was COAS during the Abacha era was SSC trained...In the army, officers are respected equally based on rank..whatever commission they passed through...Just try and be the best, work hard, lay low, and you might become COAS even with a DSS commission.

tit:

what is artillery for?
Do they not have Gen. Shuwa Mohammed's 1 Division civil war playbook?

1) Advance,
2) Receive fire?
3) Hunker down or retreat
4) Call in artillery
5) Advance again

Invading fortified Japanese occupied islands, the US used the guns of their warships to soften the Jap positions.

There is more to the NE campaign than meets the eye.

Is BH embedded in the town and ready to defend it?
Then the NA should be singing for joy!

1) Create a perimeter round the town
2) Drop leaflets in ajami and other local languages asking civilians to leave
3) "clear" the town house by house.
Ill pardon your ignorance...Domboa is a town..not some bush you can just shell...most of the civilians there have fled..
Still, you can't just shell a town because enemies are there...war is inseperable from politics..don't be naïve...We boast of one of the largest Artillery systems in Africa...It doesn't cost the N.A to shell the town to dust...but imagine the political firestorm if we destroy the livelihoods of people living there...check page 0, I posted a phot of Artillery units shelling fleeing insurgents...you think we can't do that? Military tactics is not always as it looks in movies...

Look its not BH PR, personally they have killed 3 people close to me, and have injured about 5, am aware they did the same to your friends also, we have one thing in common : To see the end of this mofos angry

But one thing i do NOT like is the constant lies by the Army, try and visit Twitter and see people's reaction no one believes DHQ statement's anymore, remember initially they claimed they freed the Chibok girls, and the soldiers allegations of damaging BRT buses in Lagos was perhaps the last straw, people do NOT believe and have no faith in the Army, which by all indications are beyond incompetent.
Even TY Danjuma said they have an edge, someone of his caliber can't be dishing out words, without facts and reason.
Now of course this is a guerrilla warfare and it is not easy but perhaps what annoys Nigerians is the way the Army goes about it, and the usual PR (lies) , they lie to cover their incompetency, am sure you have doubts about the way the Army is handling this war

Am on your side, but am not blinded, i try and see the incompetency in the Army, and would commend them if there's something to commend, i hope the National Assembly approves the loan ASAP, am aware it is a government to government loan, the money won't be given to the Govt similar way Venezuela uses loan from Russia to buy defense equipment, and frankly if any National Assembly member opposes it on the floor, then they might be BH sponsors, or are benefiting from it
We need to arm up cool

I look forward to the day you would post images of the operation that led to Shekau's,his commanders, and his foot soldiers capture
P.S God would bless you for your work and keep posting ignore the haters , wink
Ok..Ok....apologies for my language...But I refuse to accept that the N.A is incompetent...The Domboa issue is off limits for me but..the truth is that, trying to capture a fortified position without aerial recon and Air support is suicide...The army is simply not fully equipped to par...Domboa will fall...and I will post pics from the FINAL battle...But ill tell you the truth, the SaharaReporters story was riddled with inaccuracies...that I won't point out here...
We will WIN.

xterra2: According to Sahara Reporters http://saharareporters.com/2014/07/24/nigerian-army-unable-retake-damboa-boko-haram The Incompetent Nigerian Army has been unable to retake Damboa which is unsurprising and expected, this people are beyond incompetent.

Secondly, liked i mentioned, it was said that the Mi 24 (Note: NOT Mi 35) was SHOT DOWN , instead of it crashed like the DHQ Said
Common people, an Air force helicopter crashed during a training mission in a CONFLICT ZONE while people know BH have AA Guns , no one does training over conflict zones especially if the belligerents in the conflict posses the weapon to shoot down your plane /helios

This also confirms my suspicion, BH have the upper edge, the Army has been providing false information am sure most Nigerians don't believes ANY of the PR statements they issue and i think they lie about the casualties they suffer, i think they lower it in the PR statements (lies)
Pls don't bring your BH P.R here..Nonsense.

SergeAlain: @Adeyemik

Just to give you examples to show that the answers are not always easy.

The FG is currently battling the opposition to raise $1billion for equipment, and it has been like 'pulling teeth'.
Lets assume the money was secured fully. Split it between the Army, Air force, navy and DSS in a 3:3:3:1 ratio. This would give the Airforce a sum of $300m to spend.

If we even look at air mobility which you talked about, one Super Puma helicopter from France would cost you $15m apiece, and will carry only about 24 troop into battle. So this entire 'Father xmas' money govt is fighting for will only deliver 20 units of helicopter, enough to carry only 500men or so, not up to a battalion.

We neva talk fueling, periodic maintenance of the helicopters etc. In fact if you did a ballot on this site many people would prefer to spend this money on jet fighters and attack helicopters, not troop carriers.

In summary, the matter no easy. Not everything wrong in Nigeria is about GEJ and corruption.

A lot of the issues have to do with us as a people, producing poor quality leaders for the last 60 plus years!!!!!!
I'm not pro-GEJ or pro APC, as I have little time for ghana-must-go politics, still I'm 100percent loyal to the President..and will die for him if necessary, but I'm not his supporter....I think the oppostion's behaviour in all of this has been very shameful...Every single time a bomb goes off, it is an opportunity for finger-pointing and attacks on the government...What will they have the man do?! He just requested for USD1bn and they are pushing against it...is that not sick? What could a president have done that he has not done in the area of defence? Instead of pointing fingers at the same people who were pro-BH when BH was bombing churches..the same people who had the guts to say that the State of Emergency is not needed..same people who refused to call their supporters into order when they were killing corpers after an election loss...the same people who created the Boko haram sect in the early 2000s in the first place...the same people who were caught red-handed with phone logs to BH insurgents!..Red-handed..Is anyone still asking me who BH's sponsors are? I have a lot of respect for the General, but, right now he is sorrounded by murderers..Nigerians, let's turn our anger towards the Modu-Sherrifs, the informant senator, the anti-FG governors, the pro-BH sheikhs, and the clowns at CAN...this country is at war...don't let anyone decieve you..this is a civil War...There is no time for APC vs PDP jargons while slave raiders keep killing men, women and children...It is time to put our ethnic differences behind us and work together as ONE to end this madness...A boko haram bomb does not care what village you are from...they are ENEMIES OF THE STATE. Or is it when I start uploading photos of dead villagers? A year old baby was cut in half and hung on a pike, by the bastards...same bastards that Amnesty International calls "Victims of Poverty"...I wept for days for the child...Are Nigerians thinking?! Sitting in the comfort of their homes in Lagos and Abuja watching DSTV? This is a time for unity...our politicians keep planting the seed of discord among us and we keep taking the bait!...You don't have to be pro-GEJ to support the Government's fight against this madness!! Nigerians wake up!

adeyemik: @SirusiBlack.

How many months do you've in a tour of the frontline?
Bro...the topic is quite sensitive...Troops rotation was one of the issues behind the unfortunate mutiny...but ill give you some info....
Before the 7th Division was established, frontline troops were made up of splinters of troops mostly from battalions from the Armoured Division units at Jos, Bauchi with some units from Kaduna and even Ibadan...After the 7th Division was established, it was splintered into several infantry battalions, some armoured battalions and a few SF battalions...troop rotation however varies across various areas...varies for officers and soldiers...Armoured brigades are based almost entirely up north so, thiers is to very regular....in summary, tours of duty are about a year and half for regular soldiers...mostly it just depends on if ure in infantry battalions, artillery brigades or armoured battalions..Recently some guys from Lagos were injected..some artillery guys from akure too...so, in about 2 years from now, every infantry soldier in the N.A will have real cpmbat experience under his belt...every single soldier.

egbaguy: if any sensible person still stays in d forest,it means d person deserve to die. Imagine, staying with terrorists.
Let me tell you something only about 1percent of Nigerians know.....Sambisa is more of a "city"...Boko camps are filled with families...they have internal governments in camps, camp chiefs, islamic schools for arabic learning for their kids, organised social structures and so on...BH camps in sambisa are not just bushes filled with jobless gun-totting youths, If the army decides to do the Hiroshima treatment, assuming we have air assets for that, imagine the reaction of BH closet sympathisers like Amnesty International, SaharaReporters, and one Sheikh who we all know......What we need to do is to make sure that every terrorist convoy that heads out of Sambisa does not come back smiling...inside Sambisa are children.....who didn't choose their fathers............
