However, every once in a while there are politicians that decide to do things their own way (much to the dismay of the masses). These cold-blooded dictators do not care for the value of life as much as they do achieving their selfish motives of domination, power, and immortality. These are history’s deadliest dictators.

A PLOT to get rid of Zimbabwe's infamous President Robert Mugabe and replace him with a woman has emerged.

Former female guerrilla fighter, Joice Mujuru, and current Zimbabwe opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, are reportedly hoping to topple Mugabe.
Mujuru, who used to be a close ally of the President, was once a teenage guerrilla fighter and is said to be popular in the country.
Because Mugabe is reportedly suffering from ill health, they may be able to force him out.

This is despite the 93-year-old pledging to stand again at next year's election and continue his reign.
Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe with an iron fist since 1980, including cracking down on political opposition and rigging elections.
But the duo face a big fight on their hands as Mugabe's party ZANU-PF has people everywhere in the country's government, civil service and military

Speaking to AFP, Tsvangirai said: “I don’t expect Mugabe to say ‘I am going to create conditions for free and fair elections.
“We need 80% participation, not 40%. If there is an overwhelming verdict, there will be no one who will stand in the way of the people.”
Just yesterday, Mugabe was mocked after pictures emerged of him apparently falling asleep at public meetings.
He appears to have nodded off at a string of meetings as he shows signs of his old age.

CHINA has tested a new type of missile in Kim Jong-un’s backyard, as the threat of World War 3 continues to loom in the region.
The People’s Liberation Army launched the missile in the Bohai Sea – the innermost gulf of the Yellow Sea between China and North Korea.
The PLA’s “Rocket Force” fired the projectile as troops beefed up their combat skills and practiced for a confrontation with the Hermit Kingdom or the US.
China’s military said the test – carried out in “recent days” – “achieved the expected result”.
It is unclear if the missile test is meant as a warning to North Korea or the US.

Beijing has been Pyongyang’s closest ally, but Donald Trump has pressured Chinese president Xi Jinping to rein his volatile neighbour.
China has called on North Korea and the US to pull back from the brink of nuclear war.
It has threatened to launch attacks on North Korea if the stability of its nation is threatened.

Chinese troops near the border with North Korea have been learning Korean phrases, such as “Don’t move or I’ll shoot” in case a conflict breaks out.
But Beijing has also railed against US missiles deployed to South Korea.
The US says the £1billion THAAD anti-missile defence system is mean to product ally Seoul from Crazy Kim’s nuclear arsenal.
But China claims THAAD’s radar can spy on its military.
The communist dictatorship – which has the world’s largest military – vowed to cary out live fire drills and test new weapons to address national security threats in response to THAAD last month.
Beijing appears to be coming good on its threat with the new missile test.
Xinhua – the Communist Party of China’s official news agency – said: “Chinese rocket forces have conducted a combat test of a new type of missile in the Bohai Sea.
“The test was conducted in accordance with the annual training plan to enhance the combat skills of the forces and their ability to handle threats to national security.”
The information bureau of China's ministry of national defence said: "The test achieved the expected result"

FORMER heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury said Anthony Joshua will be his “easiest fight” when he returns to boxing. Fury says he will deal with unified heavyweight champion Joshua “like a cat playing with a ball of wool” when he returns to boxing.

Cure for diabetes: Breakthrough could end insulin shots for good

A NEW medical breakthrough could end insulin shots for good.

The researchers believe they have found the cure for diabetes


The breakthrough has cured diabetes in mice – with no side effects.

The research comes from a UT Health San Antonio report which describes the process as using a gene transfer which can increase the types of cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.
Researchers said they aim to reach human clinical trials within the next three years.

“It worked perfectly,” assistant professor of medicine at UT Health, Dr Bruno Diron said.

“We cured mice for one year without any side effects. That’s never been seen.

“But it’s a mouse model, so caution is needed. We want to bring this to large animals that are closer to humans in physiology of the endocrine system.”

Ralph DeFronzo, M.D., professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Diabetes at UT Health described how the therapy works: “The pancreas has many other cell types besides beta cells, and our approach is to alter these cells so that they start to secrete insulin, but only in response to glucose [sugar]. This is basically just like beta cells.”

Insulin, which diabetic people take injections of in order to keep their blood sugar levels at bay, are made up of beta cells.

In Type 1 diabetes, these cells are destroyed by the immune system and so the patient is left without insulin.

In Type 2 diabetes, the beta cells fail and insulin decreases – with Type 2 the body also does not use insulin efficiently.

If the procedure can be replicated successfully in humans, this could have the potential to cure Type 1 diabetes.

Exactly..in developed countries most crimes are solved by small details found at crime scenes..suicide cases are discovered to be murder cases and the crime is solved. I even thought the Bvn was an avenue to at least have some kind of data on all Nigerians that can be useful in crime fighting..even fingerprinting we are far behind..we really have a loooooong way to go in our country
