Education / Your Brain Can Trick You! by Sirpoint(m): 9:30pm On Feb 14, 2022 |
*Your brain can deceive you!* Hello comrades.Good evening.I hope the valentine festivity has been bubbling, plashing and gurgling on your side.As we celebrate this day,I feel like telling you how powerful your brain and your heart is to make you believe that which doesn't even exist! Have you ever realized that your brain and even your heart can delude you? The brain and the heart are two sensitive body parts that can make up stories, scenes, beliefs, assertions and then coerce you to believe those make-ups.Your brain and your heart can spark up fantasies and in a twinkle of an eye,you see yourself living in an unrealistic world.Yes! That's how powerful these body parts are. How then is this write- up relevant to today's love-making celebration? A way your brain can trick you on this day is to make you believe, from the ongoings in the streets and on social media, that you too should have someone(usually a friend of the opposite sex) as your love partner;that you too should have a love partner with whom you can commit fornication. There is no rule that posits that you should get yourself a love partner when you in the ordinary scene do not have one. The bottom line is that you should not see valentine's day as a day to get whom to "spoil".Rather, get above what the youths of nowadays define valentine as and share love in a responsible manner. Thanks. #Point Publications# |

Is Godfatherism a must? Why will Aregbesola insist that his principles( formed from his life experiences)must be the governing compass of his successor? Oyetola is an adult for God's sake!He will always have differing views for governance. Aregbesola should not be given the space to be the "Tinubu of Osun State" Oyetola,go on soun! 2 Likes |

Jobs/Vacancies / Job Vacancy:Position of a Loan Officer by Sirpoint(m): 2:40pm On Oct 04, 2021 |
Lalasticlala, please help me to upload this post to the front page for the sake of Nairalanders who can take up this job or Nairalanders who know people who can do the work. Do you live in Ile Ife or anywhere around it?This is an opportunity for you to move.A microfinance company_Dynamic Access Multiconcept Service_is currently in need of the service of a loan / credit officer. You wonder what a loan officer is? Let me take you through the nature of the job. We talk of a microfinance institution. The main work of a microfinance company, even our company,is to offer "business-reviving "loans to traders, entrepreneurs and other categories of people who demand it from the company. Once an individual or business has requested loan from the company and such individual or business has met "agreements and conditions" as given by the microfinance institution, the requested loan would be given to such individual or business. One of the conditions tagged with taking loans from a microfinance company as Dynamic Access Multiconcept Service is that the loan would be returned in installments on a daily basis for a certain period of time. Knowing fully well that it is an inconvenient task for the clients to take the installmental returns of their loans to the company's office on a daily basis, the company now employs credit officers who go out to the residences of the company's clients to collect the installmental returns of their(clients) loan. This is done by the loan officers (popularly called C.O.'s) on a daily basis as the return of loan by clients is done every week day. There are a lot of Comparative advantages linked to this work. One is that you will work just for 5_6 hours in a day.Increment in sure as you achieve remarkable landmarks in the company.Another benefit is that Saturdays and Sundays are work-free days. What else can I say?Yes!There is accommodation for non-Ife residents willing to come down to Ife to work.I mean FREE accommodation. If you are interested in this job offer or you want to make any enquiry, you can do well to call or whatsapp 07032265971. |

Politics / Re: PDP NEC May Approve Throwing Presidential Ticket Open Next Week by Sirpoint(m): 6:15am On Oct 01, 2021 |
In the last convention both the national chairman and presidency posts were zoned but now, chairmanship would be zoned while the post of presidency would be thrown open.Is this not the start of irrationality? When they(concerned PDP members )knew that zoning chairmanship to North would not mean zoning presidency to the South, why then was zoning adopted at all this time around? 4 Likes |
Politics / Re: Full Statement Of PDP Zoning Committee Held In Enugu And Abuja by Sirpoint(m): 11:35pm On Sep 30, 2021 |
No 2 reads "...And the decision of the committee to zone party offices does not in any way affect the executive /legislative offices of the country". This one is a blatant lie.The domineering influence of the North(by virtue of their population) has again played out in PDP's working committee resolution as regards the party's convention coming up next month. And the fact is that this resolution is going to further destabilize the country. If the North owing to their plentitude could turn the tables in their favour in the PDP working committee, then it is certain that whichever northerner which gets to the chairmanship post would want to use the powers that be to give the party's presidential flagbearer to his/her kinsman.Seqel to the point above, note that the north occupies a whopping majority in the country. The bottom line is that the country would be thrown into a further disarray should powers return to the north come 2023. The 2023 general elections is going to be two-sided war.On one side, it's PDP vs APC(political party supremacy contest). On another side, it's North vs South(North-Southsupremacy fight).Funny enough, some politicians are in two different competing wings at a time.A northern APC politician of this time, for example, has two forces to contend against_one is PDP, another is Southerners wanting power.A southern PDP member would want PDP to win the elections. Then,he would also have to fight against the northerners in his/her political party.Lets cross our arms and watch how this drama unfolds. |

Secession is not the solution to the problems we have in Nigeria. In fact,we will have the issues confronting Nigeria at a bigger rate should our regions decide separate from our togetherness.Who are the people antagonising this country? Foreign Affairs / Re: Why France Is Angry About The US And UK Giving Australia Nuclear Submarines by Sirpoint(m): 5:45am On Sep 18, 2021 |
Australia has done that which is in the interest of its national security. It would be an unwise insistence for Australia to keep buying submarines from France at an extortive rate when there are cheaper and more economic submarines from the US weapon producing companies. There is no reason for France to be angry at Australia's decision.Rather, it should be a wake up call to them to revitalise the weapons they produce. One thing is possible: Australia may decide to start getting submarines again from France if France starts producing submarines that are in many ways better, economic than the US-produced submarines 23 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Value Added Tax:Whose possession? by Sirpoint(m): 3:39pm On Sep 13, 2021 |
We come with nothing. We go with nothing... "Nadeem Sheakh". The issue of VAT collection by either the federal government or the state government is a very sensitive one.In my view, the collection of VAT should be done by the federal government.Yet,there should be the allocation of a certain percentage of the VAT generated from a state to the state based on the amount of VAT generated from it per unit period. In this write-up,I will explain the reason why the collection of VAT should be an exclusive right of the federal government. Nigeria is a country whose nationhood is established already. The colonial masters were successful with regard to the foundation of one Nigeria, at least to an extent.Efforts, by some Nigerians at different points in time, to disintegrate this country have proved abortive_a proof that we have been established as a nation.Nationhood requires that the regions of a country derive mutual benefits from one another. If we say that it is wrong for a state that has little or no VAT-generating resource or asset to benefit from the VAT generated from oil producing states, then we should try to answer a question. Is the oil or revenue generating minerals in a state the handiwork of its residents? Sequel to the point above,it is good to note that the call for the collection of VAT by the state government is a direct way of fostering internal disunity. If Rivers State , because it is a oil producing state insists on taking the VAT generated from the state,is the state government not making way for intra-state war?I mean is the state government not advancing disparity between the part of Rivers State that produces oil and the part of the state that does not? Or is the government not calling for war between the region of the state that produces the more oil and the region that produces the lesser oil. In this scenario,it is possible for one LGA that generates more oil to tackle another area of the state that produces little or no oil on the basis that the latter is getting gains, amenities etc. from the revenue generated from the former. A unique feature of mankind is interrelationship. No individual, group, state, country can form a highland of its own.The derivation of mutual benefits among the regions of the country is inevitable.Governors agitating for the collection of VAT by the state government should know and note that it is by sheer luck that they are the leader of an endowed state. If they were the governor of a state that has no resource to pride on, would they have made the same move? |

Politics / Re: Obaseki Links Delayed Appointment Of Commissioners To Defection From APC by Sirpoint(m): 12:24pm On Sep 13, 2021 |
I think Obaseki's delay in bringing up his cabinet members for this tenure is another proof to show that many factors deform the polity of Nigeria.First,he needs to settle the political imbalances that resulted from his sudden change of political party.Another issue is the backlog of nominees available for installation into the cabinet posts.Whichever the case,Obaseki is doing more harm than good to the development of Edo State with the delay. What do we say of a governor finding nominees for two years when he has just four years to rule? 4 Likes |
