Your extrapolation is wrong no single party or group can rule Nigeria for 5 unbroken decades. The same gluttonous people with itchy fingers that destroyed PDP will also destroy APC. Nigerians never learn from history and are never known to shy away from an opportunity to loot.

Have you drank your cow milk today?

Ordinarily, I don't join nairaland fights. However, I need to put screws on your tiny head. Only a fool would throw such cheap jabs. I can see you are one. Yes, I drink milk. Unlike your milk that comes from fowl urine, mine comes direct from a Fulani Cow. See, people like you are exactly the reason internet should be regulated. I put together the statistical facts for human beings to read, not products of stale staphylococcal spermatozoa like you. Ok?

For the guy doubting my extrapolation, please present alternative facts that you may have. It is just an estimate and nothing is ever cast in stone in the murky world of politics. One can however see the trend of events and make predictions. For instance, do you know that this government is the first ever that has provided a platform for career civil rights activists and progressive elements to be in power themselves? There may be a lot of tension between them and the normal career politicians but I tell you, they would not let the opportunity slip. Since 1960, progressive elements have never tasted power like they are tasting now. They know what to do and how to press the button to turn things around. Just watch out for a deliberate scheme to change public opinion on PMB soon. Like I said, no party stands a chance against the old man.

My dear, elections are not conducted on social media. You need money (plenty of it), strategy, boots on the ground, good ground game, brain work and clarity of vision to win elections. It is a game of numbers. It is foolhardy for anyone to think that APC would be thrown away from Aso Rock just 3 years after! Those who think in that way, are politically short-sighted and fatally myopic. I will explain.

APC grew from Lagos. It then expanded and captured most of the southwest states except Ondo. Then it captured Edo and lost Ekiti. Then it captured Imo. Then, Aso Rock. With Aso Rock, it also captured 17 out of 36 States. Recently, it got back Ondo and has added Ekiti today. That means APC is in control of the finances and power of the Federal Government of Nigeria, controls 19 state government and finances! It also controls the Police, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence, NIA, DMI, etc. On the other hand, PDP which used to control the Federal Government and more than 24 States at a time, only has 10 States and nothing more. To make matters worse, the 10 states are being held and run by extremely unpopular gluttonous crooks with itchy fingers.

Add to that brew, is a President who has loyal followers and cult-like dedicated supporters - stuff no other politician in our common history has ever got. The outcome is a party that would rule for a pretty long time. By my extrapolation, APC would run this country for at least 20 years unbroken. If the infrastructure revival currently going on across the country gets the necessary continued attention, APC might rule for up to 5 unbroken decades.

PDP would die a natural death after 2019, just as a lot of the regular politicians would be permanently retired either back home, or to Kuje Prison. Mark these words.

My analysis was even incorrect. Apologies. APC has 25 States not 19. 25 out of 36 fa!

It's now very clear that they Politicians are not our problem in this Country but the citizens. I can't believe that Nigerians will still vote for Apc upon all the evils things that's happening in the country.i can't believe my eyes. now believe that Nigerians deserve the punishment they are going

through in this country i will never have pity for people complaining against bad leadership again in this country we deserve the kind of leaders we have. I will never comment in anything concerning politics in Nigeria again.

Politics / Re: Oni Asks Court To Revoke Fayemi’s APC Candidacy by sisimmi: 9:57am On Jun 26, 2018
ONI DENIES ASKING COURT TO VOID FAYEMI'S CANDIDACY

Segun Oni, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state, has denied filing a suit at a federal high court in Abuja to challenge the emergence of Kayode Fayemi, former minister of mines and steel, as the party’s flagbearer for the July 14 governorship poll.

This is contrary to the story published by TheCable on Monday night.

The “originating summons” sent to TheCable have now been traced to agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti state.

Fayemi, who polled a total of 941 votes at the primary which held on May 12, defeated Oni, his closest rival, by a margin of over 460 votes.

But Oni, in the “originating summons”, asked the court to determine if it was proper for his opponent to contest the primary without resigning as a member of the federal cabinet.

He also purportedly asked the court to determine if Fayemi’s action did not violate the Nigerian constitution and the guidelines of the ruling party primary.

The suit was purportedly filed on his behalf by Gani Faniyi, a lawyer.

“Whether by virtue of All Progressives Congress constitution and particularly Articles 2 and 5 of All Progressive Congress 2014 Guidelines for the nomination of candidates for public office as applicable to the A.P.C Governorship primaries conducted on the 12th May, 2018, the 1st Defendant being a serving member of the Federal Executive and Federal Minister of Solid Minerals, Mines and Steel Development having not resigned his appointment as a member of Federal Executive and Minister of Solid Mineral, Mines and Steel Development, at all or at least 30 days to the said primaries election of 12th May, 2018 was qualified to contest and participate in the said All Progressive Congress Governorship primaries of 12th May, 2018 as an aspirant in that election,” the document read.

“Whether by virtue of All Progressive Congress Constitution and particularly Articles 2 and 5 of All Progressive Congress 2014 Guidelines for the nomination of candidates for public office as applicable to the A.P.C Governorship primaries conducted on the 12th May, 2018, at Damilek Event Centre, Ado-Ekiti for the purpose of determining or nominating the 2nd Defendant candidate for the 12th July Ekiti State Governorship election, the 1st Defendant having being indicted by Rtd. Hon. Justice Oyewole Judicial Panel of Enquiry was qualified to contest and participate in the said All Progressives Congress Governorship primary of 12th May, 2018 as an aspirant in that election.”

Among the reliefs Oni was purportedly seeking are: “A declaration that the claimant (Oni) having scored 481 votes which is the majority of lawful and valid votes at the 2nd Defendant (APC) the 12th May, 2018 A.P.C Governorship primaries election for the purpose of determining the 2nd Defendant’s candidate for the 14th July 2018 election for the office of Governor Ekiti State is the person that was validly nominated by the 2nd Defendant for the 14th July, 2018 election for the office of Governor, Ekiti state.”

Fayemi resigned on May 30 and later appointed Opeyemi Bamidele, a governorship aspirant of the APC, as the director-general of his campaign.

There are too many wicked people in this country today. True Christianity and Islam are all dead and buried. MURIC, CAN, etc have become outposts of politicians, vampires, demons and bloodsucking Nebuchadnezzars. . Nairaland is home to demonic collective children of anger, always calling for blood, strife, war, anarchy and gloom. Love for neighbor, brother and country mean nothing to our generation - a depraved generation.

Someone should help me ask CAN: Is Israel a Christian country? How many Christians live in Jerusalem? Or are the so filled with their hate-life not to know that only 2% of Israel is Christian? And the rest are jews? If our Embassy moves to Jerusalem, would that reduce school fees at Redeemer, Covenant, Mountain Top, Idahosa, etc Universities? Would that stop daddy GO from testing the Instruments of his members before marriage? Would that stop Christians from gruesomely killing people accused of stealing Maggi at Ikorodu, while celebrating the acquital of a politician accused of stealing billions from govt house? Would it stop foolish Muslim adherents in Kano from offering prayers for the acquittal of Shekarau who stole the state dry? Would it add any shame to GEJ who foolishly took the podium to lament the odium and ridicule he faces outside Nigeria for the shameful manner he ruined our country while serving as president? What a generation of young people we are. What a tragedy to be born in this time.

Finally, the human side of daddy GO is out in the open. Speaking as if he is God and twisting the gospel to fit his agenda. Some of these GOs are in love with the old testament so much that the liberating message and mission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is lost in-between. Someone should also remind him that the Old Testament required folks to make sacrifices by killing their children and spilling the blood on the alter unto the Lord; that burnt offering was mandatory. Why are they singling out tithe? If he is convinced that the way to live as Christians is to follow the Abrahamic principles, then the ritual killers and murders of our time are doing "the Lord's work" because, the Lord likes sacrifice!!!

Religion / Re: Are Christians Allowed To Have Sex After Traditional Wedding? by sisimmi: 4:38pm On Apr 04, 2018
I would have loved to educate you on what you what a christian marriage is all about, but i dont think your mindset will allow accept my point. If you cant understand the simple, straight forward comment that i posted, then i wunt waste my time. I suppose that you feel that for a marriage to be called christian, a priest or man of God must do the joining! By the way what you call church wedding in Africa is merely traditional wedding in the Western world. what is most important is for the family to consent and for the joining to be done in Gods name (In Jesus name) by whoever stands as authority over the couple or family (it may be your church priest or pastor) and for all fetish components of our ancient traditions to be taken out of the ceremony, that's all. No need to duplicate ceremonies.
I expect that a christian single would have been trained and taught about marriage and Gods provision for marriage before he/she embarks on a journey of no return. It s also pertinent that whoever stands as priest and shepherd over such a couple during their courtship should bless them and join them in God and before their families.
I must not be in the four walls of a church building building before i'm joined in the christian way.

@davidque please can you provide Bible reference to support this advice? What role does the "man of god, Reverend or Pastor" play in marriage? When you say "joining to be done in God's name" what do you mean? Truth be told, we carelessly allude to God, what He did not allude to Himself. Marriage is an institution fore-blessed and sanctified by God. You do not need to "bless and join it in His name" before He bears witness to it. It is a given. Every man is born with God's blessing to "go into the world, multiply and fill the earth"! Some Pastors and Church leaders introduce doctrines and dogmas into the body of Christ, all by themselves and wittingly cajole people to accepting it as divine commandment. My dear, shine your eyes. Let no man deceive you. A christian does not need any intercessor to "join" him/her with his/her wife/husband. All you need is the heart to discern and understand God's will, the choice of a partner who should be your FRIEND in need and indeed, true love that covers all things and the consent of the family. I am a happily married man. I never brought any so-called man-of-god near my sweet marriage. We are happy. Fulfilled. Blessed beyond measure. Honest. Faithful. Contented. Above all, married for 6 years and counting. Our standard in the Bible and nothing else.

The Bible never recommended any wedding in Church. That thing called Church wedding is an invention of the delusional black man. Jesus Christ attended a wedding in Cana. He did not officiate or preside. He never told his disciples to bless a wedding or officiate in one. That is the Biblical fact. All you need to be married is for the rites and customs to be fulfilled. And that is fulfilled when both families assemble to give out their children in marriage, depending on the custom and tradition.

All you superstitious people going about to invent stories about the veracity of marriage tied to "Church Wedding" are busy bodies and meddlesome interlopers inventing what does not exist either by fact or history. The Bible should be the standard. Not the Pastor. Not the Bishop.

The despicable act of violence against items of clothing by Cee-C yesterday night, coupled with the xenophobic, derogatory hateful statements she made on live TV against the great people of the nations of Ibibio, Annang, Efik, Oro, Obolo, Ugep, Bekwarra, Ejagham and several ethnic groups that make up Akwa Ibom and Cross River States go to show her myopic ideas and demons. For the records, "Calabar" people that she and her ilk loathe so shamelessly boast of the finest and most well-mannered and properly cultured and trained ladies. The great 'Onyonyo' fabric that was made by Payporte for her are normally worn by delectable Efik maidens. But like a pig that would ordinarily attach no value to anything clean, Cee-C shredded the fabric instantly just as she added that "Big Brother must have mistaken her for a Calabar or Akwa Ibom girl not knowing that she is a correct Ibo girl", implying that her class is better.

That action speaks to the age-long feeling of superiority that the average Ibo person in Nigeria feels about people of Akwa Ibom/Cross River origin. Big brother would do the show some good by wielding the big stick against such spirit of intolerance and display of crass xenophobia.

Let the "Zoologist" apologists also post the many achievements of their Otueke impresarios' so we can compare the record. For 16 years, Tony Anenih/Ogunlewe/Dieziani were ministers of works. They should also post pictures of those 16 years so that we compare with PMB's of 2 years, 10 months. That would be the only way to judge. I have been an active road user in Nigeria for at least 20 years. I have seen more visible and physical genuine and deliberate government initiatives to revamp our national road infrastructure in the last 2 years than I have seen in my entire lifetime before then. Buhari has his demons. But the roads and power are certainly getting better; much more than any other time in recent history. Sentiments aside.

Atouke:

Oga, I sympathize with your community over the state of the school, But here are the Fact: this school is a community school and not a state school, it is owned by the Essien Udim Community.
Govt. cant just push its way through a property that it does not own,and begin developing it, there is a rule of law which make such action illegal, Since govt. is a creation of the law, it cannot act illegally.

Now from the picture you have posted and others, you can see that government of AKWA IBOM STATE has fulfilled its responsibility to that community, take a look at the good road with drainage which is Akwa Ibom state Standard passing through such rural community. Take a look at your photos again.

Govt. has stocked the library by your own assertion and even provided reagents for the laboratories according to you. So govt. has dont its part the community should do its part by renovating its school infrastructure.

If they cant do it they should declare their inability/ bankruptcy and Humbly, approach govt through the ministry of Education, to take over the school and run it for them.Am sure there is a frame work for such take over.

No child should be allowed to study in such school, especially into todays Akwa Ibom where primary to secondary education is free and compulsory and where school infrastructure has greatly improved.

I would suggest that concerned citizen like you should organize stakeholders in that community and lead a protest to the community board that runs the school and prevail upon them to hand over the school to the govt. who will better run it.
Abasi udiong fien.

You do not seem able to read and understand English language especially in the afternoon. Else, you would have read and understood the statement that "THE SCHOOL IS OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF AKWA IBOM STATE" . Rather than unleash the tap guarding your rancid vocal cavity to throw your asinine jabs, you could have asked to know that Akwa Ibom State government had indeed, taken over ownership of community schools eons ago. And that CCSS Nto Osung is just one out of many such horrible pig-stays that pass for school in your El Dorado Akwa Ibom State. And I shudder to believe that you expect me to applaud a government because it has fixed the road that leads to an abandoned school? It shows the degree of primitive depravity of your mind. If the government does not construct roads, schools, bridges, hospitals, markets, etc., what then would be the duty of government? To blare sirens? Fly private jets? Etc.? Oh! You mean the citizens should set up "schools board" to run their schools? Or "humbly" approach the governor? It means that the people should serve the governor, not the other way round. It is called poverty of the mind. The people truly get the sort of government they deserve! You are part of the reason Akwa Ibom is where it is. Very sad indeed!!
