@9ja4eva

One love to you too baby smiley

Hey, what is the big mix up with you being a man or a woman?

I need to know, which are you, man or woman?

It doesn't make a difference but I am curious to know. Especially now that I know you love me and I know I love you grin

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Is This Guy Cute? by Sista(f): 5:19am On Apr 27, 2007
I think the guy is beautiful but he does have natural African features which are not that popular to people who adore white features. Women who do not find his African features attractive because they are into the white looking features may tend to not look at this this young man as attractive. Those kind of people must be the kind of people he wants to attract and if they are, it is not a surprise why he is not getting any action. I suggest he goes for the women who like him for him and stop worrying about the women who are high up on their horse thinking that African features are un attractive.

He should not waste his time being a Wesley Snipes or a Dennis Rodman wink

Nairaland / General / Re: What Do You Love About Nairalanders? by Sista(f): 4:20am On Apr 27, 2007
u only mentioned people u had beef with on Nairaland, did anyone really like u at first @sista Grin

Actually Blue, I didn't have any beef with Seun of course grin and I didn't have an kind of beef with WesleyanA, Ucche2nna, Paddylo, Gaby, Cocoa29, Sissimose, Angleheart and of course you my sister. smiley Please forgive me, I knew I was forgetting someone. It's not that you are not memorable because you definitely are but I haven't talked to you in a while and when I made attempts to send you an Instant message, you never responded back to me and it was during those times you got a little disturbed with something I said. I came to think you were either ignoring me or that you were not at your computer during the times I Instant Messaged you. I just kind of moved on but I always see you in my AOL buddy list and I do and always think of how cool you are and how I wish we could speak. embarassed You came through for me a few times, I won't refreshen your memory because it's supposed to be our little secret, remember? Any way Blue, I love you to and again, please forgive me for not mentioning you because you are one of the first people I came to see as different from the rest and very much so likable. Although you always stayed true to Nigeria, you always seemed to have your own mind and your own ideals apart from the other Nigerians. I admire you for that. wink
Nairaland / General / Re: What Do You Love About Nairalanders? by Sista(f): 2:28am On Apr 27, 2007
Come on nairaland people. I know many of you are out there who wish to state your claim of love for certain or a couple of nairaland members. Where are you all at?

Not to be changing the subject but Thief, from reading what you just posted, some of the grammatical mistakes you got on me about are now present in your above post. cheesy

Are you still skinny and frail as a tooth pick? By the way, how is your white man doing? I am sure he will continue to do fine as long as your figure continues to look like a boy toy. shocked
Nairaland / General / Re: What Do You Love About Nairalanders? by Sista(f): 2:42am On Apr 24, 2007
Let me not forget about the one and only Seun, I love you too. You are someone to be proud of. So young and yet you have managed to give us all such a wonderful gift. A safe place to learn and to communicate with each other.

Oh yeah, Seun, I have been a good girl wouldn't you say? You haven't heard anything from, me in a long time. Do you still think I need some help? cheesy
Nairaland / General / What Do You Love About Nairalanders? by Sista(f): 2:37am On Apr 24, 2007
I love Nairalanders because I feel as though they are my family members.Even the ones I have argued with and believe that had we been standing face to face, some blows would have taken place, LOL

Believe it or not, I love you all. My most memorable loves are,

WesleyanA, you are so smart, to smart considering your age, LOL

I have had many fun nights on line with you, when you were supposed to be in bed, Ha, ha ha. Wasn't it fun when Davidylan was chasing you from topic to topic and I was instigating, letting you know when he had left you, yet another un challenging post for you over in another topic? That was a fun night. I admire you so and I wish my daughter could have a friend like your self. Who knows, maybe someday you two will meet, if God wills it so.

Drusilla, Although we don't always agree, I know your heart is good and you love your people. Thank you for all the time that you have dedicated, sharing with everyone at nairaland what you know.

Babiosissi, such a strong and clever woman you are. I know that when we talk, there is not telling what is going to happen. Reading the old topics we have both contributed to was hilarius, such good times to look back on. I have always enjoyed you, even when we argue. Arguing with you made me feel happy, sad and enlightened all at the same time. What more can one ask for in terms of true love? grin Sista loves you and she will never forget you. kiss

Ucche2nna,you are always very careful as to not jump to conclusions and for the most part, you seemed to genuinely want to learn and from I have seen, you have never been partial yet, you have always been fair. Where have you been? I truly miss your easy going presence. I hope you have been missing so long because you got a good woman you are now spending your time with, instead of being on line. You really deserve a good woman. You are such a handsome man and a good one too. At least from what I can tell. Hey, do you know the member Olembe? He really looks a lot like you.

Mamaput,
I can always hear your voice in my head when I see your words across my screen, your voice is so calm and harmless. I have never felt a threat coming from you. I have always felt that you have been true, especially after we got past the part about your papa. I have always understood what you say, even though some people try and pretend they don't. I admire you for your effort in continuing with speaking the English language even when people make fun of you, you don't let that bring you down. In fact, you don't let anything bring you down and for the most part, you are not really a partial person from what I can see. How was your daughters birthday party? Where are you? Really missing you, love Sista

Paddylo,
The young and handsome Igbo man who is very confident and loves his people. Thank you Paddy for stepping in to give your honest opinions on subject matters concerning the bad mouthing of AA's. I am happy to know that a Nigerian sees all black people as the same. wink

925, Who said a love hate relationship is a terrible thing? shocked

Davidylan, My bratty little brother, been picking with me sense the first day I joined. I think he has grown though because he told me not to long ago I was not a bad looking woman; even though he accused me of being fat and ugly. My bratty little brother, I love you. I bet you are not bad looking yourself. wink

Gaby, Loves his people so much. You are so sweet Gaby, everything about you from what I know is all good. You deserve the best!

Where have you been? I am missing you so much!

You know what I am missing the most? kiss

Cocoa29, You are my sister and I will never forget you. You are so sweet and you love your people. I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished with your children and your work. Keep up the good work my sister. The struggle his tough but you have shown that you can handle it while staying sweet and compassionate.

Donzman, Bratty little brother #2, I love you. I can't wait till the day you actually have something to say that is worth hearing but I still love you. grin

and my latest loves are,

Sissimose, This sister is no joke, very smart, intelligent, not partial but equal and just really a breath of fresh air. I am so glad to have met you hear at nairaland. Oh, and I saw your picture, you are a natural blend. Beautiful, Cute and so forth. Don't want to say too much but you know what I mean? I am sure you heard it all before. wink

Angleheart,
you are such a beauty as well and you have a good heart from what I can see, where have you been? You love your people and you haven't forgotten your roots as other Africans would accuse SA people of. Stay strong as you are and always remember that we know the reason for all the chaos amongst our people. As long as we know, we will better understand, you get what I am saying?

I miss you. kiss

9ja4eva, so happy that we started saying nice things to each other in such a short length of time. i can't tell you how long it has taken me with other members before we actually said something nice to each other. My experience with you has given me hope that the fighting between all African decent people is truly just a misunderstanding and someday, we will see our fights for what they really are, a big huge misunderstanding. wink

Modified:

I love Bluenubian as well, she was one of the first people I really liked because she seemed to be her own person. Blue do you remember the time you and I talked through Instant message? Do you remember the time you came through for me? I should not have forgot to mention you, please forgive me because you are definitely memorable and you are for sure a sweet heart. You know that you and I have talked but we talk once in a blue moon. However, you did play a huge part in the first stages of my Nairaland experience and you help to bail me out of a few things. Thanks smiley Oh by the way Blue, has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like Mary J Blige?

Superman who in their right mind could not have some love for this brotha? I just love him to death. wink

No you guys, Sista is not dying, I am just in the mood to say sweet things, maybe something is going on in the stars. Any way, who better to say loving things to than the people I love and adore?

For those of you watching this topic, what do you love about Nairalanders?

@9ja4eva

How are you doing sweetie?

@Kya

Maybe I will just delete him and never answer his calls.

Very good idea Kya. If you continue to talk to him, he will surely try and do his best to convince you that he is not trying to scam you and it is just the bad image of Nigeria that you are afraid of and how it's so unfair to him and so forth. If he does that, don't believe him. No good man would try to make a woman feel guilty because she wants to be careful about giving her money to someone she does not know, a good man would understand and a good man would not have asked you for money in the first place. What does he expect you to do? Invest your money into him and he will be the return on your investment? Meanwhile, what will he do to show you that he is willing to invest in you? Talk sweet to you and fill your imagination with thoughts of marriage? Please.

It should be going both ways, you should not have to do all the risk taking, a woman should not have to pay for a prospective husband.

Instead of plans to marry, I am sure he was planning to get more and then disappear and I would never hear from him again.

Yeah, and it is no telling how many other women he is doing this to. He has a web cam as you said so he must be a professional. He has money to pay for a web cam and a computer but he doesn't have money to take care of his self? l guess his computer and web cam is the investment he made towards the career he has in scamming women.

So l am lucky it was a small price to pay for a big-ass wakeup call. For all the women looking for love-please, please BE AWARE!

Sweet heart, you are right, you did pay a small price but you are smart, you know that in your heart you were not going to be so naive as to send even more money so be proud of yourself. wink I would advise you not to look for love on line, you nver know what you are getting into. If you want to meet some Good African men, I am sure there are some in your area especially Nigerian men, they are everywhere wink

Don't stop coming to Nairaland now that you got your advice, keep coming back okay?
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Image Was Badly Damaged On Oprah Today! by Sista(f): 1:28am On Apr 23, 2007
@Kya

Image or no image, no woman should be sending a man she does not know money. From what I know of Nigerian men, the ones who are not scammers that is, they wouldn't dare ask a woman for money, it's just not in their character. You sent him enough, don't send him anything else. If he lives in London, he can do better at getting a job there than he can do back home in Nigeria. I suspect the man is definitely scamming you, please, for your own sake and the sake of your bank account, don't send him anymore money and I hope he doesn't have any of your personal information.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Image Was Badly Damaged On Oprah Today! by Sista(f): 1:07am On Apr 23, 2007
Honestly, don't blame Oprah.

Nigerias image was already ruined before her show aired.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 5:01pm On Apr 19, 2007
@Spoilt

I see you reside in Los Angeles, I will be there in the month of August for about 4 days, If you want, I could come by your house and hook you up or you can come to me, which ever you may be comfortable with. I know how to manage nappy hair, I was the one who did my two little sisters hair when they were small and to this day, I am still doing their hair. They both had so called nappy hair and I had the so called ideal hair but I knew how to take care of their hair.

Let me know if you would like for me to do your hair, I won't charge you, I just want to show you that your hair is not as bad as you may feel it to be.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:42am On Apr 19, 2007
it's easier for more mature women to be natural when peer pressure is reduced etc
i think it's harder when your a teenager.

This is so true WesleyanA Only thing is this, the ones who mature and realize natural is better, they only come to that realization after they have damaged their hair to the point where it won't bother to grow and is practically balding.

Then, there are the young ones who see how people have literally lost their hair from poising it with chemicals and pulling it out with weave glues, they are frightened to ever have to experience such a thing, loss of hair that is. So, they don't bother to put chemicals nor glue in their hair.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:26am On Apr 19, 2007
Well, I'm sorry that you hate your hair because it is nappy, to thick and heavy.

You do know that people are paying for that kind of hair in the beauty stores, don't you? Why don't you just cut it off and sell it, at least you could make a profit.

I bet your hair is not as bad as you claim.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:20am On Apr 19, 2007
sista thats probably true , but idk
anyways we r talkin looks here and both a different in their own ways

Hey, I hear you but when you say you don't like the way your own hair feels, and then say next that people see Beyonce as more attractive than Indie Irie, to me that is a sad thing and it is symbolic to self hate. You can get mad all you want but you stated your opinion and I stated mine.

Again, the way that you feel about your hair is a sad thing. I guess you might be the type to agree with Mr. Imus. wink
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:14am On Apr 19, 2007

Has anyone ever met an intelligent, smart, sweet and good looking woman who constantly wears a weave or relaxes her hair?

If so, was she a much older woman?
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:11am On Apr 19, 2007
na fake hair men dey first see sha before our pretty face. that's why they look at beyounce and not arie, Ndipe and 4play make una talk true jare. Grin

I bet Indie Arie has better sense and is way more intelligent than Beyonce could ever be.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:08am On Apr 19, 2007
how sista.
You asked what Nkechi meant no be so?

Yes be so. wink

Oh I see,you don't like God.
Ok,we have other Igbo names with deeprooted nongodly meanings,lol

Real funny Babiossi, real funny.

You know what? I just finished up reading some of the old topics you me, 925 and Drusilla contributed to, they sure are funny. I am sitting in my house all alone laughing out loud at those topics.

By the way, I like Nkechi, and I also like God wink I see why I chose that name even though they both have nice meanings which could have referred to me and who I am.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:04am On Apr 19, 2007
i can't speak for everyone but like my older sister once said

"when guys think of hot girls they think beyonce not india arie"

and i hate the way my head feels when its nappy

That's really sad.
Fashion / Re: Why Do Women Of African Descent Relax/perm Their Beautiful Hair by Sista(f): 3:01am On Apr 19, 2007
meanwhile Nkechi means "God's own"
and Ngozika means "blessings are the greatest"

Am I getting on your nerves already? cheesy

@omoge

I saw a Senegalese lady and she gave me a price for doing twist. it range between 250-300 dollars, is this price right?

sisters here, what do you think oo?

I don't think the twist are worth that much because they don't take as long as braids to do. However, they are much prettier than braids and they are the in thing compared to braids. I think that Is why they cost so much. I do my own hair and only go to the shop when I am to lazy to do it my self, which is not often. I paid 40$ for that hair in my first picture now if I had to pay an extra 250-300 on top of that, it would not be cool at all especially considering the fact that I only keep my hair up for one month.

I agree and you know what? I consider my self very fortunate to have all those wonderful African ethnicity's running around inside of me, as long as they are not fighting grin
