Thank you for the advice. Am not looking for an on-line quote. I just need a general idea for a 4 bedroom house before I commence |
Can anyone provide an estimate or rough cost guide to building a semi-detached house in Lagos. |
This is how stupid we have become. A Flat form be a place to share knowledge. You do not have to be an engineer to have knowledge of construction |
Can anyone with Civil Engineering background or Project Management experience provide a response to this query: 1. How deep should a raft foundation go. (In meters) 2. Can you build a new raft foundation on top an existing one or should you completely remove the old one. |
IGNORANCE is the biggest problem in Africa. Many of you are blinded by what you don't quite fully understand, which is religion. But I believe many of you will rather live and die in ignorance. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, Donald Trump does not give a damn about Religion. Holding the Bible was just a photo opportunity. He will do and say anything to get his base to reelect him in November. |

The biggest problem many people have may not be with Buhari but with those that have hijacked him for personal agenda. They do not mean well for anyone other than themselves and their cronies. He has surrounded himself with many currupt politicians and ex politicians who he will never be able to control. If he ever wins, the fear is they will all be in his payroll. He can't fool anyone with his soundbites on fighting curruption. Will he ever be able to go after his boss, Tinubu, the most currupt man in Nigeria. |
You bunch of illiterates. Understanding simple English language is a huge problem for many of you. If I can expand on what he said. Making something a priority does not mean you have resolved it. It remains an on going battle and would be until it yields positive result.. |
What the difference between these people and ASHAWO...........They will always go whereever the grass is greener. No loyalty. Sad state of affairs in this country. I have no respect for politicians. |
In conclusion, this part of the APC manifesto by Buhari only applies to the northerners. You can not win the vote of the south by a promise of a handout. |
You are so right, that is why Buhari will propose N5k welfare payment in his manifestos without thinking of being challenged just like our ancestors were unable to do decades ago. This is 1960's politics in 2015. Therefore, he is not the man to move this country forward. We need to start looking for that man ready for 2019. |
Any discussion on the topic of population explosion is 'a no go area' It is very sensitive to ordinary man on the street. It is a subject worth addressing. I don't think anyone has an answer to that. Social programs like welfare system of N5k proposed by Buhari has to be funded by someone, ie through taxation, etc. We tend to forget that without jobs, revenues can not be raised through taxation. Unless Buhari has other means in mind, but with our large population combined with falling oil prices, not much option exists. So to create a welfare system, you must first create jobs, which can fund your welfare system. That is how it works in many advanced economies. |
Lets make this clear, GEJ is not the answer to the problems facing an average Nigerian. However, Buhari has not proved that he is the solution contrary to what he wants us to believe. Both are clueless to use your phrase. The question should be 'who is the less of the 2 evils'. The devil you know is better than the angel you do not know. |
There are issues NOT EVER discussed by these politicians, 1. Reduction of government size, reduce this, you will reduce corruption and waste of resources. 2. Creation of an enabling conditions that will foster private enterprise and job creation 3. Limit social programs to Education and Health, Nigerians do not need handout, average Nigerian is smarter than that. For a start, N5k to the poorest, how do work out who qualifies for this. This stupid policy will only keep the poor where they are. 4. Decentralization, many people have called for this and I can see the need for it. |
Very interesting observation from the Manifesto. It does not matter what party you affiliate yourself with, the fact is politicians always make promises they are unable to keep. I feel sorry for those that have been bought over by Buhari,s promises without a second thought. The most important observation made here is the fact that Buhari plans to spend money on social programs but very vague or clueless on where the money will come from. You either promote capitalism by creating policies that will enhance and facilitate growth through private enterprise or follow the path of social welfarism and pursue policies that will only benefit the poorest of the society in a futile attempt to close inequality gap. In my opinion, the only social programs worth pursuing in a society like Nigeria are education and health. Nigerians are smart and hard working, therefore more than capable of achieving a without assistance of the government as long as the government provides other variables required. |
Can someone give me a quote on fencing a plot of Land |
Lets set party politics aside, This is very uncivilized, barbaric, very embarrassing and a very low point for Nigeria watching actions of a man that considers himself fit to stand to be elected as the leader of a country. His advisers and party (APC) should have informed him that this is a behavior of a thug and shows no morals, taking matter into his hands, it is bad leadership for so called speaker of the house. The police in my opinion exercised too much patience, they should all have been arrested and charged for such act. Shame on APC. They can not win votes in any civilized society with such lawlessness. These people are worse than animals to descend to such low. It is common sense, when you switch to an opposition party, you are no longer speaker of the house. Speaker of the house and Leader of Senate are positions occupied by the majority government. One thing is clear, these people don't even understand the political system they practice yet they want to lead a country. |
