How old is Wole Soyinka and Obasanjo again? |
FreeIgboho:You are missing the point. They call passport the travel document while the photo is called passport photo. If you go to the embassy and they want your passport photo, they don't call it passport, they say PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH. Nigerians will call it passport. In your photo, it is clearly written as Passport Book vs Card, not Passport. |
DoctorAyukebot:I was agreeing with you but I will not say Nigerians have a wonder because of the term INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT. I have to give consideration to the use of language. In Nigeria, if you tell someone to bring their passport, they will bring a passport photograph for you. To distinguish the travel document from a passport, we call it international passport. This is a function of language and I will not blame Nigerians for this use. After all, when travelling you are also told to affix a passport to some documents. In Nigeria, ‘passport’ often refers to a passport photograph. This dual meaning likely explains why the travel document is commonly called an ‘international passport. This usage reflects a common phenomenon in sociolinguistics known as semantic extension, where a word acquires additional meanings within a particular speech community. In Nigeria, the term “passport” has evolved to also mean passport photograph in everyday usage. As a result of this dual meaning, speakers often specify “international passport” to distinguish the travel document from the photograph. In contrast, in the UK and the US, “passport” retains a single meaning the official travel document while “passport photo” remains a fixed compound phrase. This difference explains how language adapts to local communicative needs rather than reflecting incorrect usage. |
He was more popular than some sports anchors. What a loss to the sporting community and listeners. |

Tareq1105:God forbid. I am very happy for the parents that brought me to this world. I would be ashamed to have my parents be involved in questionable behaviour, I no go rate them at all. In our family, we have a great lineage that have very strong values and I expect my grandchildren to pass it on and on and on. We have certain currencies that our more than the material things that are attracting you and we guard it like soldiers. I no go use left hand to show my papa house. Your children will ask you questions and you'll realize that your family values are the roots to your trees. When I was a child, I saw my parents at work. I followed them, I learned what bribery was, I knew what corruption was from an early stage and they showed me examples of what not to do, despite the corruption in the country and some people's lack of morals. The same people will go to mosque on Friday and Church on Sunday 🤡 My parents did not need to tell me DON'T STEAL, they showed me examples, real life examples of what not to do. That is why I can pass the same message to another generation. Each of our generation faced the same challenges but we lived values and we are currently living it. A kì í jàlè ní ilé wa. Again, you don't know me and I don't need to prove who I am but the money that is shacking you lots no de move people like us. I see that poverty is a cancer then to the brain. Sorry. If that's the kind of grace you want in your life, may God give it to you. I am happy with mine. |
gassbee:You are shifting the goal post. Most of you are not ready for the hard conversation. Again, one of the beauty of the internet is that you don't know who I am so I don't need to explain to you. What did my parents do? Please read the first page to see where I paid them tributes for giving me something that money cannot buy. Thank you and have a good day. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Read my earlier comment. They got contracts, they were favored. Okay. They had a product? They had a service? Didn't they? They were never government officials. So tell me, what work did the government official do to make so much money?
|
Tareq1105:I have better values and you don't know who I am, that's the beauty of the internet. I don't envy bad things or things that cannot be explained. Children look at their parents and a parent should be able to explain to their children how they made LEGITIMATE MONEY. |
RichBoy247:My question is not hard. What work does Tinubu do? You know Elon Musk, you know his companies and how much they make. You know Dangote, even if he gets favors that some people accuse him of, you know his product. What work does Tinubu do? |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Billionaire from birth? And you are so fast to not understand how so? If they tell me Abiola or Dangote or Maduka's children are billionaires from birth, I can understand. What work did his father do to become a billionaire? That flew over your head right? Keep whining yourselves, you think it's children you are deceiving. His father was rich even before he became a governor and so is he! O ń tan ara rẹ jẹ Nigeria can make all of you see yellow as black but some of us are not blind. Keep it up. |
The beautiful ones are not yet born but can we see that African method is still the best? Where your family is preparing you for marriage and you grow into it. But this ITK people came and said she must finish school, get work and career, forgetting that after that, she will still do something in society. They even used to protect our women from useless boys and men who only want to totori her hotspot. We filled her mind with books, but left her roots behind. We gave her education of the world, yet neglected the lessons of her home. We opened her eyes to knowledge, but left her heart untethered to culture. We built her intellect, but abandoned her heritage. Women remain the most important specie for a good society. |
jamafa:Aren't the boys who built flutterwave young men? No lies, 10 years is not too far but tell me, what work does he do through honest means? Show me the accounts of his company? Tell me how he got the company without favors. If he's so busy as CEO, how come he has time to be following daddy and be attending FEC meetings like person wey no get work? Let's keep whining ourselves in this country. |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Read again, slowly this time please. Thank you. |
Emeskhalifa:You sound like a child. If you have nothing to contribute, ignore the post. We are talking jollof rice, you call cement into the matter. What's your obsession with Obi and where did I mention him here? |

MEGAWATCH:You are just venting. Taiwo is an appointee of the President. The person who has more power than him is the person you voted. But it seems that concept is difficult to understand. Why will I be wasting my time with Taiwo when I did not elect him? Did Taiwo pass the bill into law? Or I have senators who are not doing their checks and balances that is expected of them on the executives? Hypocrisy is when you know where the solution lies but you are wasting your time on the wrong things. |
MEGAWATCH:You are not ready to have an adult conversation. Enjoy your day. |
They are hypocrites. It's so sad that opposition is so weak. The ACN would have lashed at the government in power if they tried 1/10th of what is going on now. We Played Politics with Subsidy Removal Even though We Knew the Truth - Ex Governor fayemi Confesses https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eukKEOSi-8 I was invited by the democrats-Tinubu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eiq3F4DqTw8? |
'Madam SGF'? Take it easy please. |
If the terrorists are in encampment, they are likely to go into the cities to mix with the population. Also, don't forget USAID was accused of being intel to the US government. We can now see everything playing. I blame the wicked leaders who sold their people to the enemies. |
MEGAWATCH:Your insult does not do anything. Look at the larger picture. Taiwo is not the problem. He is an appointee. If you don't understand how an appointee, including a minister is not more powerful than those who were elected, please direct your anger to your miseducation. |
Màámi, Bàámi Nne m, Nna m Uwa, Uba Mummy, daddy. Thank you for instilling values in my life. God bless you. I know that what you told me is not what I will always see in the corrupt world but those values are more expensive now that I am an adult. God bless you for teaching me the right values no matter how the world wants to corrupt me. I never knew the price of integrity until I saw how cheap it was to be corrupt and expensive to have what they lost. Wherever you are, God.Bless.You💌🫶 Dear Lord, save me from the people of corruption 🤲

Trump was never a factor that they considered in their 2027 calculations. He will play a major role in our elections, watch this space. |
BATified2023:Please tell me his profile. What industry does he have? What work did he do? By the way, Fashola has gone back to practice. That's the only person I can compare him with since he served 2 terms in office. Seun Kuti has the best description for all of your heroes. They are millionaires without industry. ![]() Wealth without enterprise |
