VinnyBaba:I wrote in my comment that there will be a surprise in 2027 that the parties have not planned for. INEC will be the referee but the people will be the VAR. The Morocco vs Senegal referee already saw a sample of where Refs can be checked. The situation room of everyone will make it difficult for anyone to tamper with results. All parties and every Nigerian can have their own electoral monitoring unit by counting and adding themselves. People are not coming out and I don't blame them. INEC performed well in the bye elections that we had before 2023 elections, all of a sudden, there was a glitch. I won't be surprised if they repeat the same playbook. Make it look like they will organize a good election and then on the main day, they will find one story. Look at this result. No one came out to vote. I saw results were only one person voted in the whole PU. Nigerians aren't ready for the change they want. If there's one thing APC did well in 2015, it was their ability to galvanize people and ginger them to vote on election day. Right now, they are banking on the people's apathy so their party members will do all the voting. They did not do membership registration for nothing. Opposition had better wake up. 2 Likes 1 Share

That last two is the one they will rig. Why? Because there's enough space for the unused ballot papers. Also, the officer did not sign off like the first two that did it in a way you cannot change. Let me tell you how they openly rigged the last election. Where they wrote 17, they will add 4 to it and make it 417 and they will write the total as 446. They don't even care if the maths doesn't add up or there are obvious alterations. There's a reason why Wike is VIP. What's the use of polling agents if the results will be changed at collation center? Our people are not ready for free and fair elections yet. We just pretend to, because that's where the real power is and these politicians are ashamed to fail. Each person can gave their own monitoring office. In fact, this is the kind of work I'll give secondary school students to add all the numbers they see online and compare the EC-8 with the uploaded one. Everyone will be able to fact check the total numbers for each PU, ward, LG and state. 66 years later, counting votes is out problem. What a shame. Edit: I have a funny feeling Nigerians will do their own calculations themselves even before INEC announces the 2027 results. How they will do it, just watch and see. Let retirement come na. You should learn to move on with the next level. Even in Nigeria, people are cutting ties, lest talk of japa. As you move on in life, your environment will start to shape you and if there's nothing that can keep that relationship, it's best to cut it but association is not by force. One thing about Nigerians is that they like to behave like sheeps, they want to do what everyone else is doing, they can't be themselves. That's why they are always looking for a shepherd to save them when they can use their head. The person who has japa is facing a new reality of life, don't add your own to theirs except you have anything useful to give back. Relationships must not be forced.
