Im very surprised that hasnt been yet, some of you are so stuck on ikemba nutts and HIS dream of biafra/or becoming president of Nigeria, to deal with the REAL tragedy of the war (innocent people who died). THE-AMAKA: this is just a little thing on nairaland, k? but you do have a good idea. maybe build it in Enugu, the capital of the East. Onlytruth: Great idea for starters. WilyWily: that will be nice. ode boy wily remember a yoruba- guy said the idea on nl |

rethink: @soludo
I have always believed that you are a great man destined to lead Nigeria out of the mess we are in. Since you were the Governor of CBN I thought in my heart that you should be the next president.
Well I am a yoruba and I beleive that you are now going to be tested please dont fail me. As it is now Fashola is a front runner and will be pitched against you when you decide to run in 2011. I want and pray you become the president of Nigeria so that my Igbo brothers will feel they are not second class citizen. I personally donot care if a gorilla leads Nigeria but to put the Yoruba, Igbo and hausa tribal bigots to shame that there is nothing wrong in coming from a tribe.
"May your road be rough" The people in your state will not give you a free ride. You will meet very terrible opposition in the media and among the people. but you have already showed that you will aline your self with the developmental forces. Mr. Soludo YOUR ALLIES IN THE STATE SHOULD BE
1) The poor able bodied men 2) The homeless( these have nothing to loose) 3) The young men that have not started life ( the next baton carriers)
The above is your weapon it is from this people that your political foes will recruit to fight against you. The only weapon you can use to defeat this people is LOVE and how do you show love. Care giving. They will work and but you will provide them Education, food, housing and clothing.
You other allies are the
4) NON Parasitic elites 5) The Educated Pessimist
Once you have all this people you will win and 2 years will be too much for you to accomplish your dream.
God bless Anambra state God bless Nigeria well said |

Some of these statements are correct i read somewhere that AA's are of igbo (egba) origin, some say that egba origin is mixed of igbo. SO If they are igbo THEN SO IS OBASANJO because hes an egba man. I dont know why some igbos dont like to claim their own folks but if its a celebrity hmmmm yes hes an igboman but if its OBJ they guy is a yoruba theif. lol THE YORUBA CLASSIFICATION PROVED TO BE NO EXCEPTION TO THE RULE, AS THOSE SLAVES DOCUMENTED TO BE YORUBA WERE MORE SPECIFICALLY REFERRED TO AS EGBA yoruba were more specifically referred to as EGBA YORUBA. THE WORD EGBA IS A DERIVATION OF IGBO( EGBA,EGBO IGBO) AS THE EGBA YORUBA ARE OF IGBO ORIGINS.
ONE OF THE LARGER YORUBA TRIBES ARE CALLED THE IJEBU. IT IS AN ESTABLISHED FACT THAT THE IJEBU WERE SELLING EGBA IN MASS NUMBERS DURING THE SLAVE TRADE. THE CITY IJEBU - IGBO STILL EXISTS IN THE YORUBA HEARTLAND WHICH NOT ONLY REFLECTS THE EARLIER IGBO HISTORY IN THE SOUTHWEST BUT FURTHER SERVES AS A MEMORY CONCERNING THE USAGE OF IGBO PRIOR TO THE TRANSFORMATION TO EGBA IN THAT PARTICULAR REGION. http://emeagwali.com/igbo/ |

Beaf: Why would the such a term come up in a Nigerian environment? That is what NL is. We aren't in some den in Colombia or Puerto Rica; well bred African Americans don't use such terms, it is a street slang. It was born on the streets for creatures and low lifes of the street; that is why it reeks unintelligence, lack of self esteem and to a certain extent, criminal tendencies. For goodness sake, lets stay away from those slangs. what about broken english in naija? EVERYONE says it "reeks unintelligence, lack of self esteem and to a certain extent, criminal tendencies". slang is slang no big deal |

I hate the word nigga but the sound of
nikku- for guys niggette - for females nigglettes- for children is pretty funny to me
lol mehn it all has to do with maturity using slang past age 22-23 is lame. same with broken english, educated adults dont use it. |
Politics › Re: Nigga by sjeezy8: 9:55pm On Nov 22, 2009 |
When Nigerians freely use American street slangs that are derives from derogatory words toward black skin, is it because it is a fad, we are too young to care or what? you are not young old man, you are 45 !!!! |

Trapped in the myopia that language defines mores. transformR: You are mistaking a casual comment for a detailed essay, remember Fela was about 'simplifing' complex issues so the common man could understand not showing off like you are trying to do so here.
