You have raised very intelligent issues. I must thank you for those searching questions. These are the questions an intending student will normally ask before taking a decision. Let me address some of those concerns.
1. Every profession has what is called hazard. Everyone who works regularly with radiation emitting machines definitely has radiation hazard to cope with. But let me ask. How many radiologists, radiographers or X-RAY technicians that you know has been affected by dangerous radiation?

For your information, it is very rare and many times non existent in real life. Radiographers know how to protect themselves. It is part of their course during their training. They have a course called Radiation Protection. In fact they are more protected than many of us who don't know the various sources of radiation, line of sight, exposure levels and harmful doses. So hardly will there be a radiographer that is affected by this hazard.

It is the members of the public who can actually be described as novices, when it comes to radiation protection.

On the part of radiographers one of their principles is what is known as ALARA principle. I leave you to research this :-)

As a radiographer you are saddled with diagnosing the patient I.e you carry out examinations to determine the pathology and treatment that follows...ultrasound,x-rays,ct scanners,MRI and so on are equipments used in carrying out the examinations.... it's a very interesting and tasking proffesion..And as the saying goes:RADIOGRAPHERS DON'T LOOK FOR JOB BUT JOB LOOK FOR RADIOGRAPHERS.

I don't know why radigraphers are paid mote than a laboratory scientist.

I guess it's because of the workload and the radiation hazard they are exposed to.

What is full body scan? You can't go with the OP's full body scan caption. Watch the video, what he is having is CT of the head -ve contrast. Except for theoretical purposes, whole body CT is never done because of exposure issues.
