Toks2008:
That is just the issue.

If an ex acted ina funny way and you meet a new lady and now decides to unleash terror on her as a result of past experience abeg does this make any logical sense?

Yet you can treat the new lady so badly and she may not even do half as bad as the ex and then you begin to regret why you chose to punish her for the past experience.

so in my opinion, the best bet is just to try and be on a clean slate and also get ready mentally for any form of madness the lady may spring up.

It will be a shame for me to catch my lady cheating on me just for her so say shebbi i was also cheating with so so and so.

I had an ex that got fed up of our union for reasons she can't even explain so much that her very own blood brothers and sisters asked me to forget her..can you imagine? Now lets assume i was found wanting in one way or the other, trust a lady to hold on to that but till date, she would just call me just to hear my voice but shame won't let her come back and i just laugh because i know that it is her loss.

So please guys should understand my write up...you can not visit the sin of an ex on a new chic as that is tantamount to being myopic and wicked. Treat every new lady differently and be good to them but also expecting them to bleep up so that if they eventually goof, you will just yimu and move on.
you got some truths in your words.

I was also guilty of number 1.
I was always trying to read the minds of my friends and decipher what they were thinking (feeling like a detectivegrin). But it usually led me to making wrong assumptions.

I have realised that everyone has a right to think private thoughts the same way I like to have my privacy. If someone is honest with you, he/she will tell you the things you should know. No need to probe too much.

Education › Re: 10 Misused English Words That Make Smart People Look Silly by Skmoda360(m): 2:07pm On Jan 24, 2016
Akosxxx:
Straight to the point.

1. ACCEPT vs. EXCEPT
These two words sound similar but have very different meanings. Accept means to receive something willingly: “His mom accepted his explanation” or “She accepted the gift graciously.” Except signifies exclusion: “I can attend every meeting except the one next week.” To help you remember, note that both except
and exclusion begin with ex .

2. AFFECT VS EFFECT

To make these words even more confusing than they already are, both can be used as either a noun or a verb. Let’s start with the verbs. Affect means to influence something or someone; effect
means to accomplish something. “Your job was
affected by the organizational restructuring” but “These changes will be effected on Monday.” As a noun, an effect is the result of something: “The sunny weather had a huge e ffect on sales.” It’s almost always the right choice because the noun
affect refers to an emotional state and is rarely used outside of psychological circles: “The patient’s affect was flat.”

3. LIE vs. LAY

We’re all pretty clear on the lie that means an untruth. It’s the other usage that trips us up. Lie
also means to recline: “Why don’t you lie down and rest?” Lay requires an object: “ Lay the book on the table.” Lie is something you can do by yourself, but you need an object to lay . It’s more confusing in the past tense. The past tense of lie is—you guessed it— lay : “I lay down for an hour last night.” And the past tense of lay is laid: “I laid the book on the table.”

4. BRING vs. TAKE

Bring and take both describe transporting something or someone from one place to another, but the correct usage depends on the speaker’s point of view. Somebody brings
something to you, but you take it to somewhere else: “ Bring me the mail, then take your shoes to your room.” Just remember, if the movement is toward you, use bring; if the movement is away from you, use take.

5. IRONIC vs. COINCIDENTAL

A lot of people get this wrong. If you break your leg the day before a ski trip, that’s not ironic —it’s coincidental (and bad luck). Ironic has several meanings, all of which include some type of reversal of what was expected. Verbal irony is when a person says one thing but clearly means another. Situational irony is when a result is the opposite of what was expected. O. Henry was a master of situational irony. In his famous short story The Gift of the Magi , Jim sells his watch to buy combs for his wife’s hair, and she sells her hair to buy a chain for Jim’s watch. Each character sold something precious to buy a gift for the other, but those gifts were intended for what the other person sold. That is true irony. If you break your leg the day before a ski trip, that’s coincidental. If you drive up to the mountains to ski, and there was more snow back at your house, that’s ironic.

6. IMPLY vs. INFER

To imply means to suggest something without saying it outright. To infer means to draw a conclusion from what someone else implies. As a general rule, the speaker/writer implies, and the listener/reader infers.

7. NAUSEOUS vs. NAUSEATED

Nauseous has been misused so often that the incorrect usage is accepted in some circles. Still, it’s important to note the difference. Nauseous means causing nausea; nauseated means experiencing nausea. So, if your circle includes ultra-particular grammar sticklers, never say “I’m
nauseous ” unless you want them to be snickering behind your back.

8. COMPRISE vs. COMPOSE

These are two of the most commonly misused words in the English language. Comprise means to include; compose means to make up. It all comes down to parts versus the whole. When you use
comprise , you put the whole first: “A soccer game comprises (includes) two halves.” When you use compose, you put the pieces first: “Fifty states compose (make up) the United States of America.”

9.FARTHER vs. FURTHER

Farther refers to physical distance, while further describes the degree or extent of an action or situation. “I can’t run any farther ,” but “I have nothing further to say.” If you can substitute “more” or “additional,” use further.

10.FEWER vs. LESS

Use fewer when you’re referring to separate items that can be counted; use less when referring to a whole: “You have fewer dollars, but
less money.”
Bringing it all together

English grammar can be tricky, and, a lot of times, the words that sound right are actually wrong. With words such as those listed above , you just have to memorize the rules so that when you are about to use them, you’ll catch yourself in the act and know for certain that you’ve written or said the right one.
i got u thanks.

"What A Miracle"; See How This Lady Cheated Death During Christmas Period. PIC

It is as they say "Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise". This lady has narrated her miraculous experience after cheating death/tragedy due to a little disappointment which got her down last year December (2015). Her inspiring testimony was shared on Facebook.. Read below;

What a Christmas! on 24th Dec 2015 at 6 am, I came to a car park, paid my transport fair, kept my big traveling bag close to the bus where others kept theirs, went to fill in my name, came back to put my bag into the bus I was suppose to board.

To my utmost surprise, my box was no where to be found. They searched the whole park for about three hours but all to no avail, I wept bitterly and lamented that God has failed me because all my belongings were in the bag: my international passport containing my USA visa, my expensive weavon, my new cloths, jewelries and so many other things.

I was in agony but I never knew God spared my life, he took all away to secure my life towards 2016. I went back to my sisters house where I came from and of cause the bus left. That day was hell for me, people were happy and jubilating on Christmas eve but I couldn't, I was at home I had no good dress on me.

Lo and behold On 25th evening a news came to me that the bus I was suppose to board had an accident and no one came out alive. God took death away from me, because its only the living that can stand and recover all. I turn to say this Christmas is the best Christmas so far.

Politics › Re: Senate Summons Emefiele To Explain N305 To 1$ by Skmoda360(m): 1:37pm On Jan 15, 2016
Same old same old shit
By Babajide Komolafe, Henry Umoru, Joseph Erunke & Michael Eboh
The Naira appreciated yesterday to N302 per dollar in the parallel market, thus halting three days of sharp depreciation even as the price of Nigeria’s reference crude oil grade, Bonny Light, slid below the $30 per barrel mark, dropping to $29.47 per barrel.
Meanwhile, following the increasing depreciation of the Naira, the Senate, yesterday, summoned the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to appear before it next week.
From N305 per dollar, Wednesday, the parallel market exchange rate dropped to N302 per dollar at the close of business yesterday, indicating N3 appreciation.
President, Association of Bureaux De Change Operators of Nigeria, ABCON, Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, said that the appreciation was occasioned by drop in demand for foreign exchange and indications that CBN might review its decision to stop dollar sales to bureaux de change, BDCs.
The naira depreciated in the parallel market by N25 naira between Monday and Wednesday, following the announcement by CBN on Monday to stop sales of dollars to BDCs.
Earnings dip
Also, the price of Nigeria’s reference crude oil grade, Bonny Light, slid below the $30 per barrel mark, dropping to $29.47 per barrel, according to data obtained, yesterday, from CBN.
This was even as the price of Brent crude, the benchmark crude oil grade, rose to $30.77 per barrel in the international market. Brent crude had dipped below $30 a barrel on Wednesday, for the first time in more than 10 years, a day after the U.S. benchmark took a similar fall.
Specifically, Brent traded as low as $29.96 a barrel before settling down 55 cents, or 1.8 percent, at $30.31 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe, the lowest settlement since April 2004.
Therefore, using an average crude oil production of 2.2 million barrels per day, as stated by CBN, it is expected that the total amount accruable to the Federal Government and oil companies in Nigeria on a daily basis would dip to $64.83 million, about N12.967 billion daily, using an average exchange rate of N200 to a dollar.
Job loss at BP, Shell, Chevron
Consequently, as a result of the continuous decline in the price of Nigeria’s Bonny Light and other crude oil grades, experts are predicting massive job cuts in the Nigerian and global oil and gas industry in the next couple of days.
Already, the world’s biggest oil companies are slashing jobs and discontinuing major investments, especially as the price of crude falls to new lows.
A report obtained from the Associated Press noted that companies that would be affected by the declining oil price would not only be the big oil producers, but the numerous companies that do business with them, such as drilling contractors and equipment suppliers.
Particularly, companies like BP, which had earlier in the week said it is cutting 4,000 jobs, had already commenced trimming down their operations to cope with the slump in oil, whose price had plummeted to its lowest level in 12 years and is not expected to recover significantly for months, possibly years.
The report had quoted Chevron as saying last year that it would eliminate 7,000 jobs, while Shell announced 6,500 layoffs.
Furthermore, some analysts are forecasting a drop near $10 a barrel, making companies to brace up for more trouble.
In particular, Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets, said: “Calling the bottom in a market is always dangerous, akin to catching a falling knife. But when the clamour for lower prices becomes a stampede, warning signs and alarm bells tend to start going off, which suggests that a more prudent approach might be advisable.”
The uncertainty, the report said, is making companies think twice before sinking money into new oil projects.
“On the North Sea, there is a standstill in the new project, which may create a hole in the pipeline of projects next year,” said Florent Maisonneuve, Managing Director and co-head of Oil & Gas at AlixPartners in Paris.
Subsequently, CBN had in its Economic Report for the Month of October 2015, put the average price of Nigeria’s reference crude, Bonny Light at $49.23 per barrel in October, indicating a 1.3 percent increase relative to the level in the preceding month.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on the other hand, had stated that of the 18.24 million barrels of crude oil lifted on the account of NNPC in October 2015, 12.07 million barrels and 6.17 million barrels were for domestic and export markets, respectively.
It said: “At an average oil price of $47.45 p
