Job Summary / Responsibilities
Basic Function:

Under the direction of the SFAO, the Finance and Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services to the state office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial report forms which accompany executed sub project documents.
Prepare monthly reporting/ budgets data entry into excel spreadsheets and automated MIS reports and disseminate information to country office.
Records minutes of staff meetings and circulates same amongst the staff of the state.
Assists with production of presentation materials for staff members.
Act as a receptionist: answers the telephones in an appropriate, clear and friendly manner, takes and relays messages or forwards calls, greets and directs office visitors, receives/sends correspondence, keeps fax log and any correspondence.
Perform office equipment tasks such as making needed arrangement for services for telephone and e-mail, obtaining quotations for required services, arranging for repairs of office equipment.
Assists the SFAO in arranging travel logistics for state office staff, consultants and training participants including hotel reservations and where required, arranging airport and hotel pick-ups.
Handles all photocopying assignments, development and printing of photographs including reproduction of recorded videotapes for the zonal office.
Assists the SFAO in the provision of logistic support for workshops and trainings.
Assists the SFAO in the maintenance of an efficient records/storage of all office supplies.
Serves as point of contact for logistical and administrative needs in the office.
Coordinates all administrative and secretarial support services for the state office (as relevant).
Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration
Sound accounting skills
Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in accounting related to NGOs and community level programs, with increasing responsibility.
Experience with administrative and secretarial skills

On login in, notice that some fields have been automatically filled? yes! Those are some of the information we recieved from you on creating your account. Fill the other blank fields. However, you can still edit some of the pre-filled fields. Also notice that; email address, phone no, faculty/department/unit and Job title are not included? Yes! Which is why you should make sure your email address, phone no and Job positions are chosen appropriately as you may not be able to change that later.

STEP 3: SAVE YOUR ENTRIES AND PROCEED

You can then proceed by filling all other required information by clicking the menus. Academic Records, work experience, memberships, certifications, research, award/prizes, workshops, interests, have almost the same processes. Just fill all the required fields. Your entries automatically appears in a grid at the right side of the page, you can however, edit or delete any of the entries if you so wish. There's no limit to the number of entries you can key-in on each of the menus. Remember you can leave blank any of the menus or fields to which you do not have relevant information.

STEP 4: UPLOAD YOUR PASSPORT AND CREDENTIALS

You will be required to upload all your credentials here including your passport-sized photograph. Remember however, that all your credentials must be in .pdf format not more than 200kb, likewise, the passport must be in .jpg format only and not more than 100kb. Make sure you correctly label your credentials by entering the appropriate name or title for each of the uploads. All uploaded credentials automatically appears in a grid on clicking the 'Upload' button.

STEP 5: REFERENCES

Supply your referee's details as specified. Meanwhile, your referees are required to send in their reference letter in hard copy to the Registrar, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto. P.M.B 2346, Sokoto. Sokoto State, Nigeria. Failure of which may inhibit your chances of getting selected. Note that the reference letters must be sent in earnest.

STEP 6: MY DASHBOARD

On 'My Dashboard' Menu, there are three (3) tabs there; My Messages, My Checklist, and My Enteries. You can always view all private messages to you from this dashboard menu, endeavour to check often. My checklist shows you all specified menus you have filled and submitted successfully. You would see a 'Mark' sign on each of the menus you have adequately completed, and 'Wrong' sign on each of the menus to which you do not have any information. My Enteries shows brief details about you, however, you are required to click the 'click to see the full eneries' link below to print your application form. You may wish to keep that for your record purposes only.

ON COMPLETION
You have the previledge to always login and check your enteries, update as necessary and check your private messages as long as possible. But, any update to your information after we might have recieved your enteries and initiated processes on it shall be disregarded. The Ondo chapter of the All Progressives Congress has accused the main opposition party of planning to discredit some APC ministerial nominees through frivolous petitions.
According to a Nation report, the Ondo APC spokesman Abayomi Adesanya claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party governors had masterminded a plot targeting the nominees from the south-west. The plotters purportedly want to cause their disqualification with the use of disgruntled APC members.

Adesanya said that the PDP governors had already met with the PDP senators to discuss the details and had contacted some civil society groups to label APC ministerial and NDDC (Niger Delta Development Commission) candidates as corrupt people.

The official therefore advised President Buhari to be prepared for the possible development.
Reacting to the allegations, Olisa Metuh, the PDP spokesperson, said they were untrue.

“It is preposterous and inconceivable for anyone to make such an allegation against the PDP, its governors and its members in the Senate.
“As a matter of fact, we are worried that President Buhari has not appointed his ministers and we are eagerly waiting for him to do so.

“We all know that the country cannot make any meaningful progress if we don’t have ministers and I can assure you that that is not what the PDP wants. The APC is only making excuses for their inability to get things right.

“How can we hatch a plot to frustrate ministerial nominees when we don’t know the identities and the type of characters they are presenting? So it is unthinkable for anyone to be trading such rumour. It is untenable.

“They must know that the success of this administration is not the success of President Buhari or the success of the APC. Rather, the success of the administration is the success of the entire country. So let them sit up and face the task of governance instead of pointing accusing fingers.

“This was the kind of thing the APC was doing when it was in the opposition. They were busy bringing down every government policy and appointee, including cabinet ministers.
We have stated before and we continue to state that our role as the opposition party is to engage the administration in constructive criticism and to offer credible policy alternatives.”

Indications have recently emerged that President Buhari will make some key appointments next week, as soon as he moves to Aso Rock. The issue has been surrounded by numerous controversies. Different ministerial lists are circulating in the media, with the president, however, denying any information and urging Nigerians to wait patiently, as he does not want to hurry making important appointments.
