Caesar and Khaleesi

I am pleased with the work you are doing to improve the German Shepherd dog in Nigeria.
In times like this when it is difficult to find well bred GSD in the country, introducing new progenies of the long-haired showline variation of the breed is fantastic.
I own a male and female GSD(DDR Bloodlines) presently and will consider adding the showline GSD in future. More grease to your elbow.

Please can you add salt and maggi to a four and six months gsd food

I add very little quantity of salt and maggi occasionally. Though I am not a veterinarian, a nutritionist or a herbalist, I feed my dogs from previous experiences I have. I wash any meat or fish I want to give them with salt and still add very little quantity of salt. I only add maggi in occasions where the quantity of the meat or fish is much.

So sorry for your loss. I hope you get a better dog soon.

I got them from Household Kennel at Aba. His name on nairaland is menkano. He has very fantastic progenies of the gsd breed.
My dogs have very good temperaments. Very agile, active and security conscious.
You can always contact him.

Khaleesi is currently on heat. We don't intend to mate them now. We intend to mate them on her next heat. But with the way they go for each other at any opportunity, I hope no accident happens oh.

My German Shepherd dogs don't eat much. I feed them diamond and chicken. Their response is still poor. OP, how did you tone up the appetite of your dogs?

Just seeing this bro... my job (the military) took its toll on me and I was away for about 10 months. Had to sale kiki (one of the hardest decision I ever made in my life till date). Sold her to a good home that could show her love and take care of her. Left few days after selling her and still kept in touch; before I was unavailable for 10 months. Had it in mind to get her back once I got back, But kiki died on the 17th of August as I was told; cause of death is unknown. I got the news on the 15th of September 2017. I was sad, I was heartbroken.
All the GSDs I have been seeing looks like my kiki.
Would have gotten a new dog but dogs ain't allowed in my new unit in Abuja.
But I won't stop thanking prodeegee for given me a pal I wouldn't forget.
Had to name my rifle after her...#smiles... All dogs go to heaven.

The Poodle is a great dog breed. Ranked the 2nd most intelligent dog breed.

Khaleesi

Khaleesi is growing up fast and maturing into an elegant female. She is one of the most beautiful female GSD that I have ever seen. Though I must confess that I have not seen too many.

Her temperament and drive is excellent. She is very aggressive and hyperactive. Always at alert. She is more vocal than Caesar and will bark vigorously at any stranger that either passes the compound or enters it. I guess this is because she is a girl. You know how girls talk. She can bark for Africa. She is hard tempered and looks stern and imposing, so she makes an effective deterrent to strangers.

Though Caesar and Khaleesi barks and alerts us of any movement around, they don't bark unnecessarily like the German Shepherds I had in the past. They are loveable dogs.

Caesar of Household is growing and developing well. It's not really difficult to keep his growth rate down and his stature lean as he doesn't really eat much. He is a picky eater. I read that it is important to grow a German Shepherd dog slowly to avoid some muscular skeletal health problems.

His temperament is great and it's extremely adaptable. Adaptable in the sense that on one hand, he is very loyal, loving and playful to all members of our family, but on the other , he is highly aggressive and unfriendly to strangers. He is very territorial and would bark at even an unseen passerby outside the compound.

Caesar can easily switch from play mode to guard or protection mode once he detects a threat to our compound or any member of our family. He is a super energetic lad.

I have special interest in the Bingo Dog food produced by UAC because it is made in Nigeria. I love to use "made in Nigeria" products. However, I don't have the confidence to use it yet as I have not gathered enough comments from people that have been using this dog food.

I don't know if UAC is committed to strict quality and safety standards when preparing their dog foods and if there are government organizations in place to carry out quality checks on their products.

@Johnnyn1, Rany4all & excellence123: Thanks for sharing your experiences. I wish more people with experience on Bingo dog food should share theirs too.
