RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY, MAY 12TH 2025 THEME: GROW FASTER THAN INFLATION THEME SCRIPTURE: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Inflation has been a topic of discourse for a long time. Despite fluctuating economic conditions, the conversation surrounding its impact on daily life remains prevalent. Many individuals express concern over rising prices and the increasing cost of living. But my response to these complaints has always been the same: "Have you ever heard the government make an announcement saying, 'Everything is cheaper now than ever before'?" Thus, the narrative has never changed. Prices will always rise, and challenges will escalate, but as a child of God, you’re the blessed seed of Abraham. You weren’t called to inherit or be a part of the hardship or curse of the land; rather, you were called to inherit the blessing (1 Peter 3:9). What God’s people need is to know the Word, for in it, you’ll discover that we grow faster than inflation. Take a look at the story of Isaac in Genesis 26; the Bible records that there was a severe famine in the land, similar to the famine that had occurred during Abraham's time. Isaac initially intended to move to Egypt to escape the famine; however, God instructed him to stay in Gerar. Instead of succumbing to fear or despair, Isaac obeyed God and remained in the land. While in Gerar, Isaac sowed and reaped a hundredfold harvest in the same year, because the Lord blessed him. Isaac became very wealthy. He amassed flocks, herds and servants (Genesis 26:12-14). His prosperity was so notable that the Philistines envied him. This is your heritage; you’re to live above and beyond inflation, recession and poverty, walking in your inheritance as the seed of Abraham. Never be overwhelmed by economic downturns or meltdowns; rather, always declare that your prosperity is of God. You’re not subject to the same limitations as the people of the world; the Lord has set you apart, and as you act on His Word, you’ll live in the reality of His blessings. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for choosing me to inherit a blessing and for empowering me to rise above the challenges of this world. I grow faster than inflation and every limitation in the natural world. Through your Word, I live in abundance and walk in the full blessing of the Gospel of Christ. My life is a testimony of your divine provisions and grace, and I shine as a beacon of hope in my world, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY 2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. Psalm 1:3 NKJV - He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Genesis 26:12-14 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 6:1-24; 1 Kings 9 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 9:38-50; Numbers 15 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY, MAY 11TH 2025 THEME: YOUR LOVE-WALK THEME SCRIPTURE: Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you Ephesians 4:31-32 Challenges will come; they may come from people around you or those from afar, but remain unflustered. Never repay evil with evil. You must walk in love at all times. The Lord Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35). In Matthew 5:44, the Lord said, “…Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” We’re to emulate the Lord in our love-walk. Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV, says, “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us….” Can you take the insults without fighting back? Can you endure the blows and respond like the Master did, saying, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”? You must overcome this hurdle. You should never entertain bitterness, as it will hinder your progress in the spirit. It doesn’t matter who you harbour bitterness against—friends, neighbours, strangers, family—it’ll impede your growth. Bitterness and all negative emotions are clogs in the wheel of progress; therefore, get rid of them from your life and choose the love-way. Love is more than a smile or a kind exchange of words. It’s a state of your heart that you live out. It starts in your heart, and then you act on it. You develop a genuine concern and appreciation for others. You see God in them because they belong to Him. When this becomes real to you, your life will be inspiring and impactful. Praise God! CONFESSION I choose to walk in love, just as Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. I embrace the love-way and respond with kindness; I’m quick to forgive. Thank you, Lord, for making me an expression of your love, bringing healing, joy and peace to those around me, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 5:1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1- YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 5:31-47 & 1 Kings 7-8 2- YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 9:30-37 & Numbers 14 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY, MAY 10TH 2025 THEME: HE PREPARES AND TRAINS YOU THEME SCRIPTURE: And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation (Psalm 107:7). When God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, He didn’t lead them through the way of the Philistines, although it was the shorter route to the Promised Land. The Bible says God avoided that path because He knew the people hadn’t been trained for war and therefore would flee in fear when the enemy confronted them. They were slaves in Egypt, untrained and unprepared for battle. As a result, the Lord led them through the longer way of the wilderness by the Red Sea, where they witnessed His signs and wonders and experienced His provision. Through this journey, God revealed Himself to them as Jehovah Rapha, their physician, and Jehovah Rohi, their shepherd. When they eventually faced battles, they called Him Jehovah Nissi, their banner who gives them victory. This progression shows that God prepares and trains His people, building their faith and confidence in Him before they confront greater challenges. You might find yourself wondering why certain things are happening in your life. Perhaps you’ve been born again for several years, and yet some situations seem inexplicable despite your prayers. Relax and trust His process. Declare, “I am learning and growing." Glory to God! I remember holding my first crusade at the age of fifteen. Before the crusade, I went from house to house, in street evangelism, sharing the Gospel wherever I could. I preached during workers’ break times, in schools to little kids, and to people my own age. Not everyone listened, but that didn’t matter. Jesus said to preach, and I obeyed. Though I saw good results then, they didn’t compare to what we experience today because I needed to grow. Back then, God didn’t bring together twenty thousand people for me to preach to at once because I wasn’t ready. Reaching such a number required a lot more, and I had to grow into that capacity. We often want things to move fast, don’t we? That’s why we create faster vehicles and computers. But God is the Ancient of Days. He works according to His divine patterns, timing and purpose, preparing us for what lies ahead. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for leading me in the way I should go and preparing me for the life of victory and excellence you’ve ordained for me. I trust in your divine wisdom and timing as I grow in competence and capacity to fulfil your purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Exodus 13:17-18 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not [through] the way of the land of the Philistines, although that [was] near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18 But God led the people about, [through] the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. Romans 5:3-4 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 5:1-30 & 1 Kings 4-6 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 9:14-29 & Numbers 13 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY, MAY 9TH 2025 THEME: JESUS IS GOD’S MESSAGE THEME SCRIPTURE: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). “Word” in the scripture above is “Logos” (Greek). It’s the more general term used for word because it encompasses speech, idea, thought, and message. The key thing about “Logos” is the substance of the message. It’s like when you say, “I sent you a message”; that means you sent a word. When you read John chapter one from the first verse all the way to verse fourteen, it lets you know that Jesus Christ is God's “Logos”; God's Message. All of God's thoughts, all of God's ideas, and all of God's opinions are wrapped up or encapsulated in Jesus. He’s the expression of God's mind. He’s the unveiling of the heart of the Father. If you want to know what God thinks, Jesus is the expression. Hallelujah! John 1:9-11 tells us something remarkable. It says, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.” God’s Word—His message came into the world; He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. He came through the words of prophets such as Noah, Moses, Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc., but the world didn’t receive the Word. Then the Bible says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14 NIV). See what God did! The message became a man; the man, Christ Jesus. Before the incarnation, there were some who received God's message and believed that one day they would rise from the dead and have eternal life. Abraham believed. David believed. The prophets talked about it; they knew the day would come, and they believed it. The angel gave the message to Daniel as well. He told him about those who will rise to eternal blessings and those who will be eternally condemned (Daniel 12:2). The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. This is extraordinary. The voice that Moses heard from the burning bush, the message that he wrote from God to the children of Israel, the writings of the prophets—all of these took on flesh and appeared to men. His name is Jesus—the living Word. Glory to His Name forever. CONFESSION Lord Jesus, you’re great and greatly to be praised; you’re the Word in flesh, the fullness of the Godhead, and the expression of God's thoughts, ideas and opinions. You’re life eternal, manifested to man. You’re the unveiling of the Father’s heart, His righteousness, love, grace, goodness and mercy. You’re the eternal Word of God, and I love you now and always. Amen. FURTHER STUDY John 1:9-14 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 1 John 1:1-3 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 4:27-54; 1 Kings 2-3 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 9:2-13; Numbers 12 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY, MAY 8TH 2025 THEME: PERFECT AND COMPLETE IN ALL THE WILL OF GOD THEME SCRIPTURE: Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God (Colossians 4:12) In the verse of scripture above, we observe that the Spirit of God, through Epaphras, was praying for the church in Colossae to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. He wanted them to grow in their relationship with Christ and be fully mature. He used the word “complete,” which is from the Greek “pleroo”, and it means to be full or to be fully loaded. So, you’re to be replete or fully loaded with all the will of God. This is God’s plan for your life. Hallelujah! That means you’re never in doubt or confused as to the will of God concerning anything, because you’re replete or fully loaded with the knowledge of His will. It reminds of another prayer of the Spirit in Colossians 1:9, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Blessed be God! Is this possible in the earth, for us to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding? Emphatically yes! It’s the Spirit’s desire for all God’s children. So what are you supposed to do? You say, “Yes! That’s my life; that’s my confession; I’m replete, perfect, and complete in all the will of God. I’m filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding." Make this your constant confession. Remember, the way to activate the power of God’s Word in your life is to respond; you acknowledge His truths and speak accordingly. Philemon 1:6 says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” The communication of your faith—that is, the way you live out and share your Christian faith—becomes effective, productive and powerful when you acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus. One of these good things is that you’re replete with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for making me complete in Christ Jesus. I acknowledge every good thing that you have deposited and placed in me in Christ Jesus. I’m fully loaded with your grace, power, and wisdom; replete with health, strength, prosperity, and victory. I’m filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Colossians 1:9 AMPC For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things— Ephesians 1:15-17 NKJV Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 4:1-26 & 1 Kings 1 2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 8:34-9:1 & Numbers 11 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY, MAY 7TH 2025 THEME: STAY AND BE COMMITTED IN CHURCH THEME SCRIPTURE: And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (Colossians 1:18). Some people have stopped going to church because they were offended by what others said or did to them. That shouldn't be. Never let anything keep you from going to church or withdraw from fellowship. Stay and be committed in church, serving the Lord. Sadly, some carry the same attitude they grew up with at home into the church. Maybe their parents reprimanded them or did something they didn’t like, so they left home and chose never to return. They developed a resistance to correction or unforgiveness, and they brought that same disposition into the church. No; in Christ, we receive corrections and instructions in humility and love, and we learn to forgive when offended. Salvation signifies that Jesus is the Lord of your life. You can’t just do what you choose anymore; you’re no longer in charge of your life. The Lord Jesus said, “...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). In His church, He has set structures in place. The Bible says, “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13). There’s an order in the Church, and as Christians, we adhere to that order because He is our Lord. Spiritual growth involves learning to receive and follow instructions, spiritual guidance, and accept discipline. These are evidence that your mind is being renewed and your life has been transformed. So in church you grow and become more effective in your Christian walk through the corrections, instructions and guidance you receive from the Word. Don’t say, “I was offended by what the Pastor said, so I’m going to stop attending the church.” Remember that the Lord Himself is in charge of His Church and you follow Him (John 10:4). And part of submitting to His lordship is submitting to the structures He has established in His Church. PRAYER Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for being the Lord of my life. I submit to your guidance and the order you have established in the Church. I refuse to let offence hinder my walk with you or my fellowship with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Thank you for teaching me to listen, grow, and follow you faithfully. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 3:22-36; 2 Samuel 23-24 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 8:22-33; Numbers 10 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY, MAY 6TH 2025 THEME: KEEP A DIARY OF SOULS THEME SCRIPTURE: Here's my concern: that you care for God's flock with all the diligence of a shepherd… (1 Peter 5:2 MSG). In the previous study, we reviewed the importance of complete evangelism. When you lead someone to Christ, you should keep track of their journey in Christ. Two years later, for example, you should still remember them and keep praying for them. Consider keeping a diary of the people you lead to Christ, and you’ll be amazed at how long that list will become over time. As you lead people to Christ, encourage them to do the same. Tell them, "When you lead someone to Christ, let me know. You can send me their names and addresses. I’ll be praying for them." As your list grows, take time to bow your knees before the Father and pray for everyone on your list. The Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, said in Galatians 4:19, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.” Pray like this for those whose names are on your list. Be strategic with your intercession for them, that they be established in the faith, doing the will of the Father, active in the work of the ministry, and bringing glory to God always. Pray also for other new converts whom the Lord has added to the church, that they be established in the Word, firmly rooted and grounded in the faith, and that the Lord is perfecting His work in their lives for His glory. Pray for them to be more and more passionate, committed and fearless labourers of the end-time harvest, and that through them, more souls receive the Gospel gladly and are converted to the Kingdom. In John 17:12, Jesus said, “…those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost....” This should always be your testimony concerning all those you lead to Christ or those whom the Lord adds to your local assembly through your evangelical efforts. Remember that evangelism has to be a conscious effort. It must be a sincere and personal ministry; it’s not a one-time event. It is a continuous, deliberate effort to bring others into God’s Kingdom and follow them up until they’re nurtured and grounded in the Faith. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the ministry of reconciliation. I take personal responsibility for those I lead to Christ. I remain fervent in prayer for their growth and dedication to spiritual things. Thank you for the joy and fulfilment of seeing lives transformed for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Ephesians 1:15-20 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Galatians 4:19 NIV My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, Colossians 1:3-6 Colossians 1:3-6 KJV We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; [6] Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 3:1-21; 2 Samuel 22 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 8:10-21; Numbers 9 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY, MAY 5TH 2025 THEME: MAKE YOUR EVANGELISM COMPLETE THEME SCRIPTURE: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious (1 Peter 2:2-3). When you lead people to Christ to receive salvation, at that moment, they’re still spiritual babies that must begin to learn the Word of God. The Word of God is the food for the human spirit; it’s the only material that guarantees spiritual growth. Therefore, new converts must be taught the Word and given the opportunity to learn the Word of God. This is where going to church plays a key role. When you win souls, immediately introduce them to the local church where they can participate in the things of God and be trained and well-nurtured spiritually. When you fail to bring them into the church, you’re like a woman who gives birth to a baby, leaves the baby at the hospital’s maternity ward and goes home. That’s absurd. It's important to take those you've led to Christ to your church. Don’t tell them to go to any nice church. That’s like having a child and saying, "This child can go to any mother." Instead, guide them to the church where you are. If the person believed your message about Jesus, they ought to know you came from somewhere. When you bring them to your church, you can guarantee their spiritual growth because you know what they’re going to hear. Connect them with someone from your church—a leader or even the pastor. Let them know you’re excited about their salvation and that others will be excited about it too. Make your evangelism complete. Help them see that their growth in Christ is a priority and that the church is the best environment for them to flourish spiritually. If you’re not yet the member of a local church, or seeking one, you could begin by contacting the person or church who gave you this book, or log on to www.christembassy.org for more information. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of leading others to Christ and guiding them in their journey of faith. I carry out evangelism with wisdom and love, ensuring those I lead to Christ are nurtured and established in the truth. Thank you for the church as a place of growth, fellowship and training in righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Acts 2:41-47 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Ephesians 4:11-12 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 2:1-25; 2 Samuel 20-21 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 8:1-9; Numbers 8 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY, 4TH MAY 2025 THEME: REAL SPIRITUAL GROWTH THEME SCRIPTURE: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). Every one of us was born into this world by someone, isn’t that right? You came in as a baby, but from the moment you were born, you were a complete human being. However, you had to grow to become an adult. You didn’t grow to become “more human” but to become mature. And as you matured, you gained wisdom, understanding, and the ability to do the things that human beings do, better than when they're children. It’s the same thing spiritually. When you were born again, you were born with the nature of God. You didn’t become “more like God” over time; you were born in His image and in His likeness; you were born to look like Him and to function like Him from the very moment of your spiritual birth. You were born of the Word of God and by the Spirit of God, possessing His divine nature from day one. But then you must grow to spiritual maturity. Spiritual growth enables you to manifest the fullness of the God-life in you. The more spiritually mature you are, the more effectively you can fulfil God’s plan for your life and operate in His power. This is why, at times, some Christians don’t see the results they desire despite their efforts; certain spiritual responsibilities and manifestations require growth to be sustained. Some things may happen randomly, but they may not last because they require your spiritual maturity to make them permanent. It’s the reason we’re admonished to “… grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...” (2 Peter 3:18). Ephesians 4:15 instructs us to “…grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” As you feed on the Word and mature spiritually, you’ll walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for your life and produce lasting results in the Kingdom. So, grow in the Word and the knowledge of God and be diligent in prayer and fellowship with the Spirit. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby.” To grow spiritually and mature in the Word, you must not only study it but also act on it: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). It’s the Word that you do that remains in you. Simply memorizing Scriptures will not lead to maturity. Real growth comes from doing the Word—living it out in your daily life. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for imparting your divine nature to me at the New Birth. I commit to growing in the knowledge of your Word and walking in the Spirit every day. Ephesians 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN John 1:19-51; 2 Samuel 18-19 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 7:24-37; Numbers 7 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY, MAY 3RD 2025 THEME: ASSOCIATES OF THE GOD-KIND THEME SCRIPTURE: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High (Psalm 82:6) Psalm 82:6 is a remarkable portion of scripture; this truth was echoed by the Lord Jesus Himself in John 10:34. He said, "...Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" What would this mean but what it says? In John 1:12, the Bible tells us, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Then in 1 John 3:1, the Apostle John exclaimed excitedly, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...." The Apostle Paul, in his beautiful letter to the Galatian church, said, "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ" (Galatians 4:6-7). Therefore, when Jesus said we are gods, He unveiled the truth about our divine birth and nature. 2 Peter 1:4 declares, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature...." This means you’re now an associate or sharer of the God-kind. You’re a carrier or conveyor of the God-life. What a blessed reality! This, however, doesn’t mean we’re equal with God Himself but that He’s brought us into His divine class. The Lord Jesus is still the Lord of our lives, our King, and we serve Him. Glory to His Name forever! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the revelation of my identity in Christ. I’m an associate of the God-kind; I function from the standpoint of advantage, victory, dominion and power, because I’m born of God and conscious of His life in me. I walk in the fullness of this understanding, living according to your will, serving you as my Lord, Master, and King, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY, MAY 2ND 2025 THEME: FILLED WITH THE TOTALITY OF THE DIVINE ESSENCE THEME SCRIPTURE: And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God Ephesians 3:19 To be filled with the fullness of God means to befilled with the totality of the divine essence, His very being. Colossians 1:27 says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory”; this is what it means. It leaves no room for ambiguity; we’re replete with God. We’re associates of the God-kind, not when we get to heaven but here and now in the earth, in this life. Imagine being so full of God—His power, wisdom, and glory—that fear has no place in you. This is why we, as Christians, are bold. We cannot accommodate fear because we are loaded with the fullness of God. The Greek word for filled is “Pleroo”, and it means the full or maximum load. That means we’re completely saturated with the maximum load of God. Jesus exemplified this. He declared, “...as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” (John 5:26). Jesus was the divine essence, filled with God. God’s plan is for the Church to reach this same level of understanding and expression. We, as the Body of Christ, must attain this consciousness, walking in the fullness of God. The Lord will rapture the Church in this mature state. We’ll depart this world in a consciousness of divine connection. This is not about an escape from the world due to fear or despair but about a victorious departure, having exercised the powers of heaven on earth. The Lord is coming for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle, one that has fully embraced and is demonstrating His divine life. So, rise to this understanding and live with this consciousness. God is waiting for us to demonstrate what He has accomplished in us through Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! CONFESSION I’m filled with the fullness of God, with the totality of His divine essence, His very being. Christ in me is the hope of glory; I’m full of His power, wisdom and glory, and I walk in the consciousness of this truth. I live victoriously, fulfilling God’s purpose for my life. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY, MAY 1ST 2025 THEME: DIVINE COMPETENCE THEME SCRIPTURE: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5). The Apostle Paul makes an important declaration in 2 Corinthians 3:5 that “...our sufficiency is of God.” The Greek word for sufficiency here is “hikanotes,” which means competence or ability. This means, as a child of God, you’re divinely competent. Your ability comes from God, and recognizing this truth brings a transformation in the way you think and live. In that scripture we see a principle of divine exchange: God has given us of His ability and competence so that we could function with the ability of God. The confession of the Word is a key part of this process. This divine competence and ability have been imparted to you. Therefore, you must keep saying it. Always affirm that the ability with which you function is of God. Just knowing about it or reading about it is not enough. It’s your confession that endorses it and activates the reality in your life. So, every so often, you say, "My sufficiency is of God; I’m divinely competent, which means I can carry out any task or assignment excellently." You align yourself with God’s truth. This act allows God to work with you, guiding you by His Spirit to walk in the fullness of His divine power. It’s also important to understand that while your confession immediately aligns you with God's truth, growth is a journey. You may not instantly function competently in all areas of life, but as you remain consistent in your confession and follow the leading of the Spirit, God will guide you on the right path. He’ll bring the right opportunities and experiences to help you develop fully in His divine competence. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the divine competence and ability you have empowered me with. My ability is not of myself but from you; I’m therefore divinely empowered to succeed in all things. As I meditate on and confess your Word, I walk in the reality of my divine nature and fulfil all that you have called me to accomplish, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY, 30TH APRIL 2025 THEME: THE POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER THEME SCRIPTURE: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Some years ago, there was a deliberate attempt by global powers, backed by demonic forces, to assert dominion over the cities, schools, and even the churches. It was an unprecedented global situation with the world shut down. There was a visible absence of life on the streets: the cars were gone, the pedestrians disappeared, and the freedom of normal life had been stripped away. These evil forces showed no regard for human life, willing to sacrifice and manipulate in their pursuit of their agenda. But I knew the power of the Church—the Body of Christ—is far greater than any force they could muster. All we needed to do was to pray and praise God, and we did. We stood together in prayer and took decisive actions as we sought to reclaim our streets, cities and communities from the forces that were trying to exert control. And glory to God, we had the victory! Why is this so important? When your local assembly or your church pastor calls for prayer and fasting, don’t ignore these calls; there’s a lot we can achieve together as the Body of Christ! We read of how the collective prayer of the church empowered them to boldly proclaim the message of Christ in Acts 4:31: “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” We find another notable instance in Acts 12:5-16, where the church prayed earnestly for Peter while he was imprisoned. Their prayers were answered when an angel of the Lord miraculously freed him from prison. Hallelujah! You should be excited every time you have the opportunity to pray with other Christians. At such times, we exercise the power of the Church as we take our stand and refuse to allow the enemy to take what belongs to us. Rather, we turn things around in the nations by declaring their restoration in the Name of Jesus. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the power of communal prayer, and for the authority you've given us through Christ Jesus to stand against every principality and power of darkness. We resist every demonic agenda over the nations, through wars, kidnappings, killings and injustice; we speak life, restoration and victory over our cities and nations, declaring peace within our borders, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: James 5:16 AMPC Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Matthew 18:18-20 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Acts 12:1-5 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 23:50-24:1-12 & 2 Samuel 7-8 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 6:30-44 & Numbers 3 |

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY, 29TH APRIL 2025 THEME: PROVE HIM IN YOUR LIFE THEME SCRIPTURE: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27). As a child of God, never find yourself in situations of desperation or lack where you’re constrained to beg. Even in prayer, God doesn’t want you to beg Him; He has honoured you too much for that. Instead, take your rightful place as His heir. Embrace your position as a child of the monarch of the universe; honoured, dignified and glorified. The challenge with some folks is that they think about the size of their problems instead of putting their focus on the Lord. What you need is to prove God in your life. Observe what He says in Malachi 3:10, “...prove me now herewith....” Prove Him and see; He’s not intimidated by the greatness of your need. It reminds me of an encounter with a certain lady who was born with a blood condition. She had come to see me, and as she spoke, she described her “overwhelming” condition, how serious it had been and how it had defied all medical efforts. As I listened to her, I thought, “All it would take to change her life is a few seconds and a few words.” Immediately, I said to her, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re made whole,” and that was it;she was healed. A couple of weeks later, she did all the medical tests and there was no trace of the sickness in her body anymore. Trust God with your life. Do your part, and He will do His part. He’s more willing and enthusiastic for your success than you could ever be for yourself. That’s why when you pray, don’t plead or act as though He’s reluctant to bless you. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Simply exercise your faith, and trust in the Lord, for He loves you more than you love yourself, and He’s more than able to sustain you in the realm of superabundance. Prove Him in your life. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, which assures me of your limitless power and abundant provisions. I trust you completely with my life, knowing that my needs are within your supply system. I declare boldly that I’m abundantly supplied, walking in the realms of superabundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Luke 11:9-13 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Hebrews 13:5-6 AMPC Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY, APRIL 28TH 2025 THEME: THE DIVINE RECIPE FOR GOOD SUCCESS THEME SCRIPTURE: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15) In life, there’s success, and then there’s good success. Good success is God’s will for you, and it has a key recipe: meditating on the Word! God said in Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." The instruction is clear: keep the Word in your mouth, meditate on it constantly, so that you may act on it. This is the divine recipe for good success and prosperity. Notice that the scripture doesn’t say God will make your way prosperous; it says you will make your way prosperous as a result of doing the Word—acting on what you meditate upon day and night. The Amplified Classic (AMPC) puts it this way: "This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." The Word of God in your mouth and heart, coupled with consistent action, produces wisdom, prosperity and good success. When I discovered this as a young teenager, it settled everything for me. I knew I was destined for success because I found the principle that produces it. I even declared to my classmates that I was going to be very successful. Why? I could see it in the Word. God already showed me what to do, and I was going to act on it. At such a young age, I held "Success in Life Seminars,” teaching these principles to others. I had seen the truth in God's Word and I knew it worked. Even now, the principle remains the same: meditate on the Word; act on it, and good success, not just success, will be the inevitable result. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the light of your Word that illuminates my path and teaches me the principles for a successful life. I make my way prosperous and deal wisely in all my affairs because your Word is in my heart and in my mouth always. Thank you for the assurance of good success in all I do, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 1:2-3 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 22:66-23:1-25 & 2 Samuel 1-3 2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 6:1-13 & Numbers 1 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY, APRIL 27TH 2025 THEME: THE PRIMARY WAY FOR US TO PRAY THEME SCRIPTURE: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints *(Ephesians 6:18) Praying in the Spirit is the primary way for Christians to pray; it means praying in other tongues. When you pray in tongues, it’s your spirit praying, even though your understanding is unfruitful. Thus, the spiritual man prays first with the spirit and then with the understanding also. Sadly, many reverse this order; they pray predominantly with their understanding and sparingly in tongues. That’s not going to work. Recall what we read in our opening scripture; it means there’re different kinds or forms of prayer. However, irrespective or alongside all these various types of prayers, you should pray in the Spirit, that is, pray in other tongues. Think of this like a doctor’s prescription that says, “Take these tablets with every meal.” Now, breakfast, lunch and dinner are different meals, yet the tablets are a constant addition to each. Similarly, God says, with all types of prayer—be it the prayer of intercession, prayer of faith, prayer of worship, etc.—pray in the Spirit. Speak in tongues. The apostle Paul sheds light on this in 1 Corinthians 14:14-15: "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also…." 1 Corinthians 14:2 says, “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” Make this a priority in your life. Cultivate the habit of praying in tongues every day, and you’ll experience extraordinary victories in your life. Your spiritual walk will be transformed and you’ll always be steps ahead of trouble before they manifest. Plus that, your health will blossom supernaturally as your physical body is constantly vitalized and rejuvenated by doses of divine currents, through praying in the Spirit. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer and the opportunity it gives us to invoke heaven’s blessings on earth. As I pray in the Spirit, my spirit is aligned with your divine purpose. Thank you for the victories I experience through this spiritual discipline, and for enabling me to fulfil my role as a watchman in your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Jude 1:20 AMPC But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [[a]make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 AMPC For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the [a]Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody]. 15 Then what am I to do? RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY, 26TH APRIL 2025 THEME: THE RECOGNITION OF HIS LORDSHIP THEME SCRIPTURE: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). In our previous study, we reviewed the fact that our authority as Christians comes from heaven. We rule from heaven. However, the foundation of exercising this authority is rooted in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. The Name of Jesus is central to our salvation and divine authority. From the very moment you accepted Christ, the confession of His Lordship marked the beginning of your journey in Him. God’s people need to be taught and trained in the understanding of the Lordship of Jesus; He’s the Master of our lives. This means He has authority over your words, your thoughts, your choices and decisions, and every aspect of your existence. The most beautiful thing about this is that His Lordship over your life is one of love. We’re the objects of His great love. We yield to the lordship of His love. The Bible says we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). It’s the reason we worship Him the way we do. It’s the reason we kneel to Him in adoration, not out of habit but out of reverence, submission and recognition of His lordship. If you fail to recognize and address Him as Lord, then kneeling to Him becomes a mere ritual. You kneel because He is your Master, and you bow in reverence to His authority. You might say, “But though He’s my Lord, He’s also my friend.” That is true. Nevertheless, you must recognise, learn and submit to His Lordship and honour accordingly. A true friend of the King honours the King with the highest regard. As a friend of Jesus, your reverence for Him should serve as a model for others to follow. You should honour Him even more. He’s the great King of glory, Lord over all, ruler of heaven and earth. He knows who He is; He’s so great, yet affectionately disposed towards us. He said to His disciples, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet” (John 13:14). He taught us to be humble by the example of His own humility. He didn’t need titles to affirm His identity; His lordship is inherent. Honour Him with your life. Honour Him in your worship and your actions. PRAYER Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge your lordship over my life. You are my Master, my King and the Lord over all. You alone are God and have immortality dwelling in unapproachable light. You’re the ruler of heaven and earth; I worship and adore you, and to you be all honour, glory, and everlasting power. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. John 13:13-16 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 25TH APRIL 2025. Pastor Chris THEME: WE RULE FROM HEAVEN THEME SCRIPTURE: Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment (Isaiah 32:1). As Christians, though we’re in the world, we’re not of this world. Our kingdom is heavenly, and we reign and rule from there. No wonder He tells us to set our affection on things above, on heavenly realities (Colossians 3:2). Think from heaven. Live from heaven. Rule from heaven. Your authority is derived from God’s Kingdom, which is superior to all earthly powers. This can be likened to the operation of a country’s military base stationed in a foreign land. Even though that military base is physically located outside its home country, it functions as an extension of its government, wielding the full authority and power of its homeland. Every action, directive, and purpose of the base reflects the instructions and vision of its home government. Likewise, we’re ambassadors of Christ, functioning with the power and jurisdiction of our heavenly kingdom. Our presence in this world is a declaration of heaven’s rule, as we manifest God’s righteousness and judgment everywhere we are. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." Walk in the consciousness of your heavenly identity, functioning as an extension of God’s Kingdom on earth. Establish His righteousness and judgment in your sphere of influence. Philippians 3:20 (AMPC) says, “But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven....” As citizens of heaven, we extend God’s influence and dominion to the nations. The beauty of this divine arrangement is that our identity and operations remain rooted in God’s Kingdom. Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). Blessed be God. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for making me a king and a priest unto you, reigning with divine authority. I walk in the consciousness of my heavenly identity, functioning as an extension of your kingdom on earth. Through me, your righteousness and judgment are established in every sphere of influence, and my life is a manifestation of your power and dominion, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Praying in the Spirit or praying in the Holy Ghost is twofold: there’s praying with your spirit, which is speaking in tongues, and praying through the power of the Holy Spirit. In our opening scripture, we’re instructed to pray through the power of the Holy Spirit. But in 1 Corinthians 14:14, Paul explains, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” This refers to praying with your spirit, speaking in tongues, as a means of engaging with God on a deeper, spiritual level. Then in Romans 8:26, we see another dimension of praying in the Spirit: “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” This is not speaking in tongues. It is the Holy Ghost interceding for us with groanings, deep, heartfelt expressions that words cannot articulate. Have you experienced moments when words fail, and instead, your spirit is burdened with groanings and deep sighs? These are times when the Holy Ghost takes over, interceding in your behalf. When this happens, continue in prayer until you have a release in your spirit. This kind of prayer is so powerful. It allows the Holy Ghost to address situations beyond your understanding; it’s a divine strategy for living an ever-victorious life in Christ. Additionally, as you pray in tongues, the Bible says you can ask for the gift of interpretation. This doesn’t mean translating what you prayed but receiving insight into what you’re praying about. However, when the Holy Ghost prays through you in groanings, you may not always know the details unless He reveals them to you. The power and the effect when the Spirit prays through us like that are incontrovertible; we invoke the power and dominion of heaven on earth, manifesting divine realities. It’s one of the reasons I love and enjoy to pray. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit who helps me pray beyond my understanding. As I pray in tongues and through the power of the Holy Ghost, every limitation is removed, and I walk in continuous victory. Thank you for this divine strategy to live a life that is upward and forward only, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 1 Corinthians 14:2; For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Romans 8:26-27 AMPC So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. 27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 20:20-21:1-4 & 1 Samuel 20-22 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 5:1-13 & Leviticus 24 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY, 23TH APRIL 2025 THEME: SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO BE QUIET THEME SCRIPTURE: And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10). When God sent the children of Israel to bring down the walls of Jericho, He gave them the strategy. He said to them, “Go around Jericho once every day for seven days.” He also instructed them through Joshua to stay quiet. He didn’t want anyone doubting or asking, “Do you think these walls will fall down? They’re so thick!” No; He commanded absolute silence. From the time they left their homes until they returned, they were to say nothing for the first six days as they marched round Jericho. On the seventh day, they were to go around the city seven times, and on the seventh lap, the priests were to blow the trumpet, and after that, everyone was to shout! They did as God instructed, and though they hadn’t any equipment to bring down those walls, the walls fell down flat nevertheless. God instructed them to be quiet until the seventh day because He didn’t want them speaking unbelief that would nullify their faith. Sometimes, you need to be quiet. If you’re struggling to believe what God has said, don’t speak doubt. Instead, meditate on the Word, and build your faith. This is one area where fasting is also very beneficial. Fasting will help you if you’re having difficulty believing something God has said to you. When you fast, pray, and study the Word, it’ll speed up the process of developing your faith for that situation. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the strategies you give us to walk in victory. I declare that my heart is open to your Word, and I walk according to your instructions with faith and confidence. I walk by faith, not by sight. I build my faith and grow in your Word, making progress in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Joshua 6:1-5 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. [2] And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. [3] And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. [4] And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. [5] And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 20:1-19; 1 Samuel 18-19 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 4:30-41; Leviticus 23 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY, 22TH APRIL 2025 THEME: BELIEVE AND ACT THEME SCRIPTURE: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). The Bible tells us of two blind men who came to Jesus, crying out, “...Thou son of David, have mercy on us” (Matthew 9:27). Jesus didn’t respond to them immediately but waited until they followed Him to the house. Then the Lord asked them, “...Believe ye that I am able to do this?....” They responded, “...Yea, Lord” (Matthew 9:28). Then, the Bible records, He touched “... their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened...” (Matthew 9:29-30). Notice His question to the two blind men: “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Their healing depended on their belief. Similarly, in Mark 9:22, a man brought his son to Jesus for healing and pleaded, “...If thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.” The Master responded, “...If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). The man thought the responsibility was entirely on Jesus, but Jesus showed him it was about his belief. The man replied, “... Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief” (Mark 9:24). Despite this mix of faith and doubt, the Lord had mercy on him and healed his son (Mark 9:25). God is always willing to do anything for you. The requirement is your faith. It’s not enough to simply believe; you must act like you believe. Talk like you believe. Think like you believe. If you don’t think like you believe, you won’t talk like it, and if you don’t talk like it, you won’t act like it. God’s Word renews your mind and helps you think correctly, enabling you to live in alignment with your belief (Romans 12:2). No matter how significant a project or assignment is, even if you’re convinced it’s authentic and from God, it won’t happen unless you believe it’s possible. Without belief, you won’t engage in what’s required to make it happen; instead, you’ll see it as a failed venture or a waste of resources. For example, you have to believe that the full preaching of the Gospel around the world is possible. The Bible says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). Without this belief, you won’t take the steps necessary to accomplish the task. For the first time in history, we are in a world equipped with the technology and workforce needed to reach everyone. God’s people all over the world are ready— they’re prepared to go everywhere without restriction, and we are set to mobilize and deploy all that’s necessary. Believe it’s possible. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and gives me the right mindset. I believe in the possibility of reaching the world with the Gospel in this time. I act, speak, and think with conviction; you’ve equipped me with all I need to bring your vision to fruition, knowing that all things are possible to him that believes. Thank you for empowering me to play my part in this divine mandate, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Matthew 9:28-30 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. Mark 11:22-23 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 19:28-48; 1 Samuel 16-17 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 4:21-29; Leviticus 22 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY, 21ST APRIL 2025 THEME: THINK LIKE IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU THEME SCRIPTURE: For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16). When it comes to the preaching of the Gospel in all the nations of the earth, you’ll have to approach it as though it depended on you alone to do it. That was the mentality Paul had and it’s worth emulating. When you have such a fire in your spirit, nothing can quench it. You’d say like Paul, “…necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" Paul recognized the weight of responsibility placed on him and was determined to take the message to the entire world. Your positioning, thinking and mentality have to be the same. Don’t have the idea that "Oh, there are so many Christians, churches and ministries around the world; I hope they’re going to do something for the full preaching of the Gospel.” Instead, ask yourself, "What am I going to do as an individual?" Paul said, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust” (1 Timothy 1:11); he personalized it. Can God trust you to do the same? If He left the fulfilment of His vision to you, could you be trusted to get it done? This should get you to think differently about soul winning and how you intercede for those who haven’t yet known the Lord. If you were the only Christian in your country, state, city, neighbourhood, etc., how would you function? What would you do differently? Would you continue at your current pace or rise to the challenge and do more? Be determined to make a far greater impact with the Gospel in your environment. Don’t wait; make the decisions you need to make and act on them quickly. Set your priorities for soul winning and evangelism. So much might be vying for your attention, but you must place the Kingdom of God at the forefront of your life. Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the responsibility you have entrusted to me to preach the Gospel in my world. I refuse to be distracted or complacent. I make the Kingdom my utmost priority, ensuring that every moment, effort and resource is dedicated to fulfilling your vision. By your Spirit, I act with urgency and excellence, accomplishing all you’ve called me to do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Acts 20:18-24 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: 20 [And] how I kept back nothing that was profitable [unto you], but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. 1 Corinthians 9:16 AMPC For if I [merely] preach the Gospel, that gives me no reason to boast, for I feel compelled of necessity to do it. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY, 20TH APRIL 2025 THEME: REVERENT USE OF HIS NAME THEME SCRIPTURE: No using the name of GOD, your God, in curses or silly banter; GOD won't put up with the irreverant use of his name (Exodus 20:7 MSG). In the Old Testament, the Jews were instructed not to take the name of the Lord in vain. For example, Exodus 20:7 says, "...the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." The Jews understood the greatness of God's Name to such an extent that they avoided pronouncing it altogether. Instead, they substituted it with "Adonai." When scribes copying the Scriptures encountered the Name, they would pause, go wash themselves, and then proceed to write it. If the Name appeared multiple times, they would repeat the process for each instance. This level of reverence came from an awareness of God's greatness and majesty and the awe-inspiring deeds He wrought amongst their forefathers. Contrast this with how casually many Christians use His Name today. People shout His Name while cutting a cake or use it as an exclamation in everyday speech without understanding its power or significance. This casual attitude toward the Name of Jesus reveals a deeper issue: a lack of knowledge of who He truly is. When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well, He said, "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews" (John 4:22). The Samaritans, being a mixed race with a history of idolatry, lacked a proper understanding of worship and reverence. Sadly, this lack of understanding persists today. You must understand and live in the reality of the Lordship of Jesus. He’s not just great; He is greatness. Have this understanding when you worship Him. Address Him correctly. After His resurrection, no one ever directly addressed Him simply as "Jesus." He was addressed as Lord, Lord Jesus, because His resurrection exalted Him to the place of supreme authority. When speaking about Him, we may say "Jesus," but when addressing Him, we must honour Him as Lord: “…who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:15-16). PRAYER Dear Lord Jesus, I honour and reverence your holy Name, for you’re the Undisputed Ruler, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, and lives in unapproachable light. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege to know you and walk in the light of your Word. Your Name is exalted above all, and I recognize you as Lord of all. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; 11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Colossians 1:15-18 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Luke 18:15-43 & 1 Samuel 11-13 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Mark 4:1-12 & Leviticus 20 |
