KolaShangOne: Where is your project location? Does the 3.2million include the roof? It is located in edo state and roofing is not included in the 3.2m |

nycobama: It's the fact, I can give you the breakdown of you insist, backing it up with payment confirmation up till date. My Bro, if you can give the breakdown please do. I am about to engage in a similar project, my enginer is giving me an estimate of 3.2m just from foundation to roofing level. |

KolaShangOne: I think I know who you are talking about. The 2.5 million is really much but then, bear in mind that he used about 15 columns for that particular building. add cost of iron, cost of granite, sand, cement, wood and workmanship. He also did German floor etc.. My bro, even with all you mentioned 2.5m is still too much for just DPC level of 4bed room flat. The main reason most of us are here is for us to be aware and be mindful of how we spend money when building. One need to caution that guy if not he will render the project owner skint. That said amount can raise that project to roofing level and still got something left. |

KolaShangOne: I guess it's because of the kind of houses you people in Tue diaspora live in. Oyibo people do 'in-house parties' because of the cold climate there. They keep warm by being in the house and using heaters..
In Nigeria, we prefer outdoor parties/gatherings because of the hot climate. That's why we build not so big houses so that we can still have compound to erect tents in case madam drop 1.
Same thing goes for the high roof, low roof. So its about building for functionality, for the environment.
I hope I made valide points. The oyibo you are talking about don't even build big houses. Is because we lack standard as a nation that's why people can build anyhow without control |

The way you did your analysis is so convincing and encouraging, some people will tell you they spent that whole money for just foundation of a four bedroom flat. Honestly I don't know how they do their expenses. Someone posted a picture of foundation to dpc and claim to have spent 2.5m. Bro, please has it been long you started this project, what was the price of cement as at that time? |

Nigerian main problem is corruption. How exactly has this freedom impacted in our life? |
Politics › Is Democracy Really Working For Nigerians? by skyps(op): 6:36pm On Jun 15, 2015 |
Considering what our experiences has been in the past sixteen years and what we are experiencing at present in this country, can we really say democracy is working for us as a country? If we had not adapted democracy do you think we would find ourselves in this situation of insecurity, impunity, legal and illegal looting, division, poverty etc. Since the middle of last year upto this moment nothing meaningful has been achieved in this country all in the name of democracy and election and this we continue to happen every four, four years. Just after the elections we are already seeing realignment of various group for 2019 and only God knows the amount of weapons that comes into this country during elections. This is the reason I am asking if this almighty democracy is really working for us as nigerians |
