INEC NEW Chairman, Prof Nazim Mimiko From March 1, 2015.

The successor to the out-going Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega has been nominated.

The In-coming INEC chairman is Prof Nazim Olufemi Mimiko, a professor of Political Science and International Relation and a former VC of Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State.

The embattled Prof Jega will be officially proceeding on his three months terminal leave with effect from March 1, 2015 in compliance with the civil service procedure.

Good move Mbu, those LCC staff are too rude. The police and other security agencies cant be paying tolls in their bid to keep the society safe. The federal laws provide that they are exempted from tolls so the LCC is wrong on how they attempt to apply their state laws on federal officials.

What has Fashola done in 8yrs in Lagos? Roads are at an abysmal state, no water supply, health care is next to zero even his Independent Power Project is useless. All the historical sites in Lagos especially Badagry have been neglected. Development is mainly restricted to areas dominated by the yorubas, whereas a high percentage of the State's revenue comes from non-yorubas and other sources. Areas where the poor are numerous such as Ajegunle, Ayobo, Ipaja, Ejigbo, Okoko, Iyanoba, Ladipo Shogunle, Ketu etc are neglected. These politicians are generally the same, but I prefer to have a so-called daft than a hypocrite!

BUHARI'S Pension Details Released By Ministry.

The last two week has seen the former Head of state and leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Maj Gen Muhammadu Buhari and his supporters telling Nigerians that Buhari applied to the Federal Ministry of Finance to pay him only 10% of his Pension entitlement.

The Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja has released Pension entitlements for former Heads of States as below.
1} Basic Pay::::::::::::N11.630 million
2. Medical Benefits: N13.230 million (Family covered)
Total Pension:::::::::: N24.86 million

Against Buhari's lies, the Federal Ministry of Finance stated that no request has been received from any Head of State or President declining all or part of his entitlement.

There were media reports that Buhari wrote to the Minisitry of Finance to collect only 10% of his benefits as an ex-head of state. Now the ministry has stated that it is untrue. See link below:

Good move by the govt, Tambuwal lacks integrity and he's just greedy. Who was he? If not that OBJ was just pursuing Bankole for ego and wanted to ensure he didn't return as speaker thereby causing the seat to the north instead of SW or SE. If Tambuwal had guts he wouldn't ve adjourned sitting for over a month. To me that is not fair on the floor members who should ve the opportunity to ask questions on the floor of the house. There is no law that stipulates that the speaker must ve all those security details, so the govt can withdraw them. Since he's law abiding, he should go to the courts to reinstate them.

Don't worry kid, we ve seen ur type and we know how they usually end. Just know that pride goes before a fall.

The government should see the falling oil prices as an opportunity to diversify the economy. Agriculture is one major area we can use for that.
For how long are we going to depend on oil?

Also, we need to develop our solid minerals sector and promote our local industries.

Following a recount by the election tribunal, Omisore appears to be the valid winner of the Osun elections. Democracy in Nigeria is really developing if this is true. Although I don't really fancy Omisore, I think he's the better of 2 devils!
