To think that the guys that were protecting these machines at the airport are ostensibly better than the ones that'll guard the ballot boxes during the elections is just so sickening. Kobojunkie:Sharrraap jare! The same security agents under whose indolent nose the theft was effected or the FBI? |
strangerf:We're more like a nation of selfish people. Go to the creek and see guys fighting for their right. It is those greedy Niger-Delta leaders that take bribe and sell their people by keeping quiet. The greedy Niger-Delta leaders are the reason that region is so exploited and undeveloped. |
DapoBear:+1. But don't think the government is blind to this way of thinking. The truth is Shell will lose billions of dollars if this happens. That is why they spend a few million dollars on their spies who kick against ideas like this. The truth is without the help of some greedy Nigerians, Shell won't be able to milk us as much as they're doing now. |
edoyad:Just this morning while discussing the stolen DDC machines with my father, he said GEJ's not going to do anything as the president unless he shoots all the corrupt rulers of the past a la Jerry Rawlings. |
strangerf:It is that fear of death that makes the dead better than us, sometimes. |
The worst part is that nothing will be done about this. At most Dora will talk some crap about how unreliable Wikileaks is and how we should ignore enemies of Nigeria and move-on. The illiterate, senile men in the hallowed chambers will make a little fuss about summoning the whole B.O.D of Shell (dead and living) . . . then they'd go on Xmas break and come back next year to see new cases of scam seeking their attention. |

He said the police and other security agencies had commenced an investigation into the matter.Abeg sharrrap there jor. Nonsense. Everyday we have a new reason to regret being Nigerians. What a shame! |
Thank God! |
Garri with ogbono soup and fried chicken from the church bazaar sales. |
ferdiii:Tricky. I think set-up is deadlier than frame-up. Set-up involves tricking some body and/or making it seem like they've done something wrong. Eg. A woman calls you to fix the radio in her bedroom, you enter the bedroom and she tears her cloth and holds you, screaming that you've rap€d her! Frame-up involves producing false evidence to make people believe that a person is guilty of a crime. Eg. A neighbour steals your gun and uses it for murder, the forensic test shows the weapon belongs to you and you're charged for murder. You've been framed-up. The major difference I see here is that set-up establishes a direct link between the act and the accused by having the accused at the crime-scene, while a false evidence implicates the accused in the case of a set-up. The accused may not necessarily be there. |
slap1:The noun form is 'wake'. |
ferdiii:I use I'd like to stop/get off here. The second one has already been treated here; it's vigil. For the last one, I use to 'keep wake'. |
yunafa:I appreciate you, too! |
Ewooo! I forgot Mr. Cork. The funniest goat on Nairaland with compulsive nyansh-and-punny disorder. Cork, how far? |

Even though this is a funny joke, it's not really beyond our law-makers to effect. |
Lol, nobody wants to nominate. Ok, I nominate myself. . . slap1. |
Chai, R.I.P. |
It will be a tragedy for you alone and a tragi-comedy for people like me. |
PDP is getting to the end of the tether. I like this! If GEJ wins, Atiku will leave. If Atiku wins, GEJ will leave. |
They've been plotting since the days of the Late Yar'Adua, all to no avail. The only thing they can plot sucessfully is a coup, lol. |
Ojukwu went all over the world trying to justify why Saro Wiwa had to be killed!!!
. . . Had to be killed by who? And was he killed after Ojukwu justified his being killed or he'd already been killed when Ojukwu justified his death? You said earlier that Ojukwu was the main factor (or something like that) in the death of Wiwa. How so? By justifying his death after he'd been killed? |
Odunnu:When gals that are about 8 years younger flock around me I laugh. When I talk they'd be like "wow! He talks like an old man!" They always think I'm their mate. Some call my younger sister "aunty" and call me by my name, lol. I'm beginning to enjoy it. |
Side-stool. |
So wetin come concern devil? |
Me likey! I wish we can have something like in the South East. |
jonnex:Yeah! I suggest a ban. |
CyberG:We call it npataka in Igbo. It's a product of cassava, used to make 'abacha' or African salad. |
Girls 'form' some times, too. A girl was in a bus with her food flask, going to work. The bus conductor wanted to adjust the flask in order to close the door. The girl rebuked her severly, asking if he knew the amount/quality/price of food in that flask. The guy left the flask. The girl got to her bus-stop and came down from the bus. Just then she slipped and fell, the contents of the flask spilled out. And guess what it was? . . . Soaked Tapioca and palm kernel ! |
dlox01: slyfoxxjoe:Seun had actually introduced a new page layout a while back which some of ur rejected, rooting for the current one instead. Why don't you design something new for us, enh? |
