Woke4all:Away with the cynicism jor! If you can't compose that nondescript post, there are people who can break the record you set! |
8 hours on that boring fb? You got lotsa time, bro! One hour on Nairaland will enrich you more than a full day on fb. |
Phew! Ola has done justice to it already. Thanks. |
Wayne4uall:"Did you go to school today?'' is the correct one. However, I think you may also use the latter sometimes. For instance, Saturdays and Sundays are not usually school days, so when you see a kid going to school on a Saturday or Sunday, you may ask "Do you go to school today?" (I stand to be corrected, though). |
Which country(ies) did we beat to this ridiculous prize? |
Mr. Cork! |
Baseless accusation! $35 million is not beyond a church like Christ Embassy. |
Was the prize zoned to Nigeria or it was given in recognition of the recent flood in Lagos and Jigawa States? |
ferdiii:I'll go with the later. |
"Are you sure you weren't around or you just didn't want to pick my calls?" . . . Now why did I pick this one? |
showstopa:For me, yes, some times. I told her saying it means nothing, knowing it means everything. Although it's good to say it once in a while, it shouldn't be an anthem. |
Please how does this "games in hard disk" thing work, tell me. |
Specialist900 . . . my co-striker. |
Ishit4body (f). Advice -- continue shitting 4 body. |
"Are you sure Adaeze is just your cousin?" |
Silly complaints. Nagging. "Who sent you this sms? Why?" "Tell me you love me", etc. |

I have to say my biggest pet peeve with Nigerian written English is the use of am instead of 'I am' or even 'I'm'. It's not effective as shorthand since it only saves one keystroke, and it just looks silly. Seems like every Nigerian under 30 (besides me of course) writes it that way. Also Nigerians tend to use the words advice/advise interchangeably, e.g. 'Please advice me'.[/quote]The issue has been treated here. 'Advice' is a noun, when you are giving an advice, it becomes 'advise', a verb. Blame this on the poor standard of education in Nigeria. The lecturers and college teachers are mostly unqualified. My English lecturer and my philosophy PROFESSOR will always pronounce 'pragmatics' and 'pragmatism' as 'pra-ga-ma-tics' and 'pra-ga-ma-tism' respectively. |
If GEJ's political machinery is strong enough to incite the British Police against ONE PERSON, then he sure is a big boy! Soludo should explain his role in the deal, simples! By the way, how many votes can Soludo take away from Jonathan? |
I wouldn't vote Atiku from my grave, but you guys are being senseless associating this with ritual or whatever. |
Your kids must be proud of you, despite everything. |
If we have enough food to eat, steady power supply, good roads, EDUCATION, etc, there would be no need for a bill like this, because we would be happy enough to sing the anthem in front of a moving train. |
What is a love calculator? Is it the phone application? |
Dis virgin crap is becoming alarming. Mods should take action asap! |
Onweghi udi ndi ara mmadu n'agaghi ahu ebe a. |
Ara agbaala ndi ara! |
Wole Soyinka must be popping some real champagne now. |
Lol, I'm celebrating with a cool bottle of zobo and a plate of beans! |
Lol, popsie had a good time. |
IBB cannot win a free and fair poll, and he has no power to rig a presidential election. |
igbobuigbo:Trust the batty e-slowpoke of a clown to tell you the man is probably an Igbo with a Yoruba name. |
