The BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, co-convener, Aisha Yesufu has asserted that the previous beset ex-administrator of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina rejection from the common administration may have been a fantastic plot to set him up for 2019 governorship race.

The former Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms was recently indicted over diversion of public funds worth billions of naira.

Following his indictment, the embattled Pension boss had gone into hiding, with his whereabouts unknown.
However, reports had it that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami had directed the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to reinstate Maina, after being on the run for alleged N2b scam, among others.

Displeased by the report, President Buhari had on Monday ordered the immediate disengagement of Maina.

Giving purposes behind the President's order, Buhari's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said Maina was eased of his obligation since he cleared out the administration without consent and he fled from the nation.

The presidential representative included that Maina's activity expedited humiliation Buhari's legislature.

A man was dreaded killed when police and business motorcyclists conflicted in the Yemetu zone of Ibadan , Oyo State, on Tuesday.

It was learnt that the casualty, who was said to be a business motorcyclist, was shot by a policeman after he declined to part with cash requested from him by the cop.

A resident of the area, Abiodun Okunuga, told our correspondent on Tuesday that after the commercial motorcyclist was shot, his colleagues decided to avenge his death.

He said the commercial motorcyclists were joined by hoodlums in the area, adding that they attempted to burn a police station in Yemetu.

He said, “We were all confused because of the crisis.
“We ran in different directions because we feared that we could be hit by flying bullets.

“Someone said the hoodlums also came with guns and engaged the policemen in a shootout.”

Another version of the incident, according to another resident who did not wish to be identified, stated that a bullet from an accidental discharge hit a man when policemen raided a notorious joint in the Yemetu area, leading to a protest against the raid by some youths.

Our correspondent learnt that during the clash, weapons like cutlasses and broken bottles were wielded by the hoodlums.

It was gathered that the policemen also fired into the air in order to disperse the attackers and protect the police station from being razed.

The crisis later spread to Beere, Oje, Dandaru and other areas around Yemetu.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the clash between the riders and policemen.

He, in any case, said there was no confirmation that anybody kicked the bucket in the conflict, including that no one in the state had approached to make any answer to the police to that impact.

He stated, "Seven individuals have been captured regarding the conflict.
"Some policemen were on routine watch in the Yemetu territory when presumed criminals assaulted them."

Amid the occurrence as per NCGMEDIA discoveries, four Golf autos stacked with rice were taken away by the hoodlums.

The hoodlums according to our checks, were said to have escaped into thin air after they had carried out the dastardly act on Tuesday with the aid of a serving policeman allegedly attached to Alapa police station.

Maciver said due to the state of the vehicles that were laden with the contraband, himself and his men decided to evacuate the rice into the two customs vehicles on patrol.

Agents of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) Security Team on Wednesday captured a policeman and a tanker driver who were a part of a pipeline vandals
syndicate utilizing a Lagos hotel as base.

Popular blogger and Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu has left the country and has gone on exile in an African country.

Nnamdi recently disappeared following the Operation Python Dance that was initiated in the south-east of Nigeria.

This was made known by the director, defence information, Major General John Enenche at a press briefing with journalists on Friday, September 29.
Enenche also said that Kanu was not in military custody and so the Nigerian troops couldn’t be held accountable for him.

However, popular blogger, Kemi Olunloyo has reported that Nnamdi Kanu was on exile in an undisclosed country.

In her facebook post, she said;
“A highly credible source told me that political activist and separatist #NnamdiKanu has reportedly left #Nigeria and is in a “safe haven” in a nearby #African country. He is carrying both a Nigerian and British passports.”

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor has stated that sureties of the IPOB leader should not entertain any fear over the disappearance of his client.
He said the federal government have a duty to produce his client before the case makes any headway.

Agents of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, Lagos Island, Lagos have captured a 71-year old man, Peter Othormor and 10 others for supposedly occupying merchandise worth N40 million endowed in their care to convey to a client in Abuja to Ibadan to offer.

The suspects, according to the police, were arrested while offloading the goods for the alleged buyer, Abass Buhari from Kaduna State for N5 million.

The arrest of the suspects, according to a police source was made possible by a team led by DSP Olaniyi Festus, Officer in charge of strike force one at the FSARS, Lagos Island.

Other suspects involved in the alleged crime include Lawal Yusuf, 61; Adewale John, 43, Ebuka Agubosin, 29.

Others are AbdulramanAbdulmalik, 37; WaheedAdewale, 48; Kehinde Okiki, Semiu Sanni and Raheem Lawal who are conductors.

According to the police, trouble started for the suspects when Othormor was contacted by a clearing agent to help him look for a truck to convey about N40m goods from Kirikiri Phase 2, Apapa, Lagos to a customer in Abuja, Nigeria.

Othormor was alleged to have contacted a man called ‘Dollar’ who provided the truck with Reg. No. AKD 118 XV to load the goods.

The police alleged that after the driver, now at large, loaded the goods and headed to Abuja, Othormor and the said Dollar directed the driver of the truck to drive straight to a compound in Ibadan, Oyo State and offload the goods for the alleged buyer, Abass Buhari.

The police further alleged that nemesis caught up with the suspects while offloading the goods when a resident in the area who suspected their movement tipped off the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP in charge of FSARS, Mr. Ibrahim Kaoje about the development.

Following the report, Kaoje dispatched a team led by DSP Olaniyi Festus to Ibadan to arrest the suspects and recover the goods.

On sighting the police team, all the suspects reportedly took to their heels, but the police pursued and arrested eleven suspects while the said Dollar managed to escape.

The arrested suspects and the truck with the goods had been taken to the station.
Amid preparatory examination, as indicated by the police, Othormor supposedly admitted to the wrongdoing that they intended to redirect the merchandise and offer it before the truck departed Lagos with the holder for Abuja.

The police said that all the captured suspects would be charged to court after finish of examination.

THE BORNO GOVERNMENT ON FRIDAY SAID IT WOULD VACCINATE ADULTS AND CHILDREN IN THE STATE AGAINST CHOLERA FLARE-UP.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Haruna Mshelia, made the divulgence at a question and answer session in Maiduguri.

The commissioner explained that most of the patients were treated and discharged at the Cholera Treatment Units (CTU) and Oral Rehydration Therapy points (ORT) set up in the affected areas.

“Most of those who died reported to the clinics late or died at home. It is not all the deaths that were due to cholera.

“Most of the patients were treated for diarrhea and vomiting,” he said.

Mshelia added that the state government in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) and other organizations had adopted proactive measures to control the disease.

The commissioner disclosed that the government had scaled up activities to contain the disease and embarked on sensitization activities to promote good environmental and personal hygiene habits in the communities.

“We embarked on social mobilization activities to create awareness and enlighten the public on the need to keep a clean environment, wash hands before eating and after visiting the toilet.

“We also distributed chlorine tablets and advised people not to drink water from sources they were not sure of if you are not sure of the source of water you should boil it, clean your surroundings and cover your toilets.

Truth be told, these measures are significantly more essential to hinder the wellsprings of disease."

A mad woman welcomed a bouncing baby boy in Sapele region of Delta state. HOW TO APPLY FOR AKSU POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE.

The University portal will be open for registration from Wednesday 30th August, 2017 and close on Monday 11th September, 2017. Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise using the following procedure:
Visit akwa ibom state university ikot akpaden website http://portals.aksu.edu.ng to generate Pre-Payment Analysis Slip, by following the steps below:
Click on REGISTER NOW LINK in the Login Page
Select PUTME in the Registration Type Panel and click on REGULAR icon.
Enter your JAMB registration number and click VERIFY.
On the right of the page showing your details, select CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT and print the pre- payment slip so generated.
Proceed to the Bank with the pre-analysis slip and inform the Bank teller that wish to make payment for Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME screening fee using e-transact.

By now, I guess you all know I am #voltron. I love to stand up in defense of people especially when I don't understand the reason they are being vilified and or bullied. A young lady, thinking she was being helpful, posted how she used 500 naira to cook okro soup. All hell broke loose and people made fun of her calling her unreasonable and unrealistic and a liar.

It didn't help that another lady posted that she had tried it and it was possible. That one too received her own fair share of ridicule....surprisingly, more from women. But because I remember how, thirty years ago my mother had to re-adjust and cook at a very low budget after my father's thriving businesses were closed down by a certain man who is now una Oga at the top, I believed the women.

Anyway, I decided to try it. I went to the market myself and contrary to insinuations that you can't get smoked fish for that price, I actually got for 200 naira.... Yes, and I live in Woji, Portharcourt. (oil city)
So, I bought the following ingredients as given by one of the ladies.
Mind you, I did not use anything already in the house... Not even salt... I bought everything.

Smoked fish... 200
Okro... 50
Ugu... 50
Crayfish... 50
Palm oil... 40
Salt(packet, so I didn't use all) ....50
Maggi... 20
Pepper.. 20
Onions... 20
Exactly 500 naira.

Believe me people, it is delicious and here it is. I cooked it my self...and yes I am a very good cook?.
Before you add me with the ladies in the ridicule, (and that's okay), kindly see what I have learned from this....
1. Before you conclude that something is impossible, try it.
2. It is essential to learn to be creative in survival skills peradventure you experience a season of lack and you cannot buy your ingredients in Spar.
3. Those that cannot go to a restaurant to pay 3000 naira for a plate of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, still have access to nutritional food... Don't rubbish them.
4. Many of us need to come out from the castles we have put ourselves in and go into the real world to appreciate that life goes on even without opulence.
5. Whatever your budget, food can be on the table.
A lady was surprised to see Apostle Jay, that she sees only on television, in the market. When I explained my mission, she shocked me by saying that with as little as 400 naira she makes Isam(periwinkle) soup for her family.
So, here it is... Fresh okro and ugu soup with smoked fish made with exactly 500 naira ingredients....
My life's creed?: Until I have disproved a thing, scripture says to walk in love because love according to 1Cor.13:7 Beareth all things,believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

NB: Please don't comment about gas or anything like that. The ladies never added fuel to the 500 naira budget.... And by the way, who does that? ?

A Uber driver, distinguished as Hammed Olojo, 31 was on Sunday evening safeguarded by agents of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, on watch of Third Mainland Bridge from bouncing into the Lagoon.

Olojo, who drove himself to the Third Mainland Bridge in a Uber Toyota Corolla cantina auto had composed a short note and left it in the auto when he was retrained by the officers who observed him a while before strolling up to him.

Olojo, an ex-convict, drove the grey Corolla with the registration number EKY 312 ES belonging to Kalejaiye Oluwaseyi to the bridge before attempting to leap into the Lagoon.

Questioned by RRS Commander, ACP Tunji Disu on why he contemplated suicide, Olojo explained that he was owing N10,000 in Court 3, Ikeja High Court and the owner of the vehicle N80,000.
