Politics / Re: A Sweet Wind Of Change Is Blowing In Nigeria! by sleekmike(m): 3:22pm On Aug 05, 2007
I really like what is happening right now. My only concern is the selective manner in which Ribadu's EFCC is going about the whole thing.A Governor who had only about 2million before he become a governor now has 24 billion and yet he is not arressted. All the wicked , evil, corrupt Governors of south-south were left free people. Did Orji Kalu still more than the former Governor of Imo State? Does it mean that all the govs in the South West were angels. Efcc should please rise up and clean up this country and Ribadu will be writing his name in Gold than what he is doing now. He is being selective.
He has every opportunity to redeem his image or let it be like the Maurices of INEC.
A word is enough for the wise.

Politics / Re: Cry, Nigeria, Cry: by sleekmike(m): 6:44pm On Jun 23, 2007
I wonder why Denex is so afraid and so angry at a thread that means no harm . people like you like to run away from the obvious. At the end of the day you have shown that you are more ignorant than the person you are abusing. We are not saying that Nigeria has failed that Nigeria will but it is mearnt that we have to be on alert and know that we have no other place to call home. I am of the view that Nigeria must remain one.
Denex, the way you are going, you will develop high blood pressure for nothing and then you will become a failes life.
My brother, i believe in Nigeria and that even America is not better than nija.
Denex, you fight as if you are from the Niger delta or are you a labour leader.
Politics / Re: Did Yar'adua Meet An Empty Treasury? by sleekmike(m): 6:27pm On Jun 23, 2007
YAR'ADUA DID NOT SAY HE MET EMPTY TREASURY. HE SAID A LOT OF THE PAST STATE GOVERNORS LEFT EMPTY TREASURY.

IN LAGOS, THERE WAS NOT ONLY EMPTY TREASURY. THERE WAS A HOLE TO FILL UP IN THE TREASURY OF ALMOST $1billion DEBT.

YAR SAID THAT THE GOVERNORS SHOULD MAKE SURE WHEN IT'S THEIR TURN, THEY WILL LEAVE A LOT OF CASH IN THEIR STATE TREASURY.

YAR'ADUA MET AN ACCOUNT BALANCE OF $12billion AND EXTERNAL RESERVES OF MORE THAN $40billion, AND HE NEVER DENIED IT.

Where did you get your facts from? Why did Baba hurriedly increased the pice of fuel and VAT? Is it not for yara to see some money to take off with? Look if you no open ur eye for this our country, you no go see claer.
Politics / Re: Armed Robbers Lay Siege On Imo Communities by sleekmike(m): 6:18pm On Jun 23, 2007
It is unfortunate that Oru East and west are experiencing this. The truth is that our Politicians are responsible for this. All the boys they armed to rig the elections for them are on rampage. They did not collect the arms from them and now that the elections are over, there is no job again and they have taken to armed robbery.
But there is hope. The robbers tried the same thing in Akuma, Oru west and they regretted it. Let the villagers hire the bakassi boys or the Aguleri boys . I bet you they will wipe away the robbers. Akuma, Awo-idemili and Amaebu, your neighbouring towns tried it and now they have peace. The worst that will happen to you is to trust the police or depend on them.
As for that Militia, I wonder what people like that is doing in this sane place. I am sure that he has not come to bomb us, shocked The Niger Delta youths will eventually destroy their home. I wonder where they will run to. A word is enough for the wise,
Politics / Cry, Nigeria, Cry: by sleekmike(m): 5:39pm On Jun 22, 2007
With the situation of things now in Nigeria, what do you advise that we do. The UN has declared Nigeria as one of the failed states in the world. The strike is everywhere and nothing seems to be going on.What do we do, ?
Politics / Did Yar'adua Meet An Empty Treasury? by sleekmike(m): 5:31pm On Jun 22, 2007
It has been spreading like a wild fire that Yar,dua and the Governors met an empty treasury and that they have been delibrating on how best to tackle this.
Could this be true after Baba,s campaign of transparency and due process.
What is Ribadu of EFCC doing about it.
This is a big shame if it is true.

Politics / Obasanjo,s Biological Father, An Igbo Man. by sleekmike(m): 5:18pm On Jun 22, 2007
Why Obasanjo hates the Igbo people has been revealed. The truth is that Obasanjo,s biological father was an Igbo man from Onotsha. The story has it that the man was a policeman posted to Baba,s village and He had an affair with Baba,s mother which resulted in the birth of Obasanjo.
The story has that the man abandoned Baba,s mother and ran away when he was posted out of that place.Baba grew up not knowing his father and the story was told to Baba.
Because of that, he hated the Igbo man with a passion.
Could this story be true? Any facts from nairaland especially picture.I learnt that one newspaper published much about the story with pictures. i want to know more.

Politics / I Have Full Confidence In Yar'dua by sleekmike(m): 3:30pm On May 26, 2007
I have full confidence in Yar'dua as Nigerian president. Critics should know that this is the first time a graduate is to be the president of this country. Not only that, yar'dua is also an academician, coupled with the fact that He is a principled person, i have no doubt in my heart that he is going to deliver. I assure Nigerians that he is not going to play the puppet to Obasanjo. After all he wants to come back after four yers.
The only problem Yar'dua has is that he is in a party of evil and corrupt men but that will not deter his determination.
All we should do now is to rally round him and make him to succed. The press should be fair in all their write ups about him.
He has the goods and the stuff. His first hundred days in office will surprise Nigerians.

Politics / Abuja Is Not Yet The Dream City: by sleekmike(m): 11:07am On Jan 24, 2007
Abuja is not yet the dream city it ought to be.I must however appreciate the great work the FCT minister Mallam Nasiru Elrufai is doing. He has done what no other FCT minister could do.
I therefore salute his courage, tireless hard work and his patriotism. Being that as it may, a lot has to be done in Abuja
1. Abuja is the only modern capital city without a rail network or metroline.
2.A buja is also the only modern capital city with overhaed aluminiun conductors (NEPA Wire) right in the heart of the city.
3. Abuja still remains the only modern city where lorries, trailers open vans and trucks are still being used to convey passengers ( here the unchallenged atitude of construction companies and AEPB consultants comes to mind)

I think that a lot has to be done inorder to realise the dream of a modern city for Abuja or what do you think,

SIMPLE. WHEN THE WICKED IS IN POWER. THE PEOPLE SUFFER.
ALL WE CAN DO IS TO PRAY. WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW IS SPIRITUAL.
REMOVE ABORISADE AND IT WILL STOP. HE HAS A NEGATIVE FATE.
