Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Sleeknay: 4:58pm On Jun 24
Hello all, so my friend submitted her application on 9 May and today we received biometrics confirmation letter. (She currently has a visitor visa) Someone said the letter usually comes together with passport request letter. But she only received the biometrics letter, should we assume that the passport request would come later in the day?

Can someone please confirm this? Thanks all

My work portfolio is all encompassing that’s why you can see several job duties.

But genuinely I’d love to hear your opinion on what NoC code you think I should have chosen.

I spoke to our HR and they mentioned that they can’t adjust the reference letter as what they have stated is indeed what my job entails.

Per the advices I’ve received here I’ve come to understand that my job includes several NoC. So if you can render any advice on which NOC you think is most related, I’d appreciate your input.

I’m reattaching the reference letter for your review.

Thank you honorable member 😂😂😂

Saw lots of error too.

The mismatch is real🤣🤣

Hello All, I am writing on behalf of my friend, we would greatly appreciate if anyone can urgently assist in responding to this inquiry.

So my friend already submitted her application for student visa, she didn’t do upfront medical. After she submitted, we went and did the medicals, she received document number 1, that is the proof of medicals done, (please note that, she didn’t receive notification from IRCC to do this), she is not in Nigeria, so the medical was done within 2 days and sent to the embassy, the doctor sent her the document with the completed medicals. (Let’s call this document number 2)

So the question now is, she wants to complete a web form and submit the medical document to ircc, which of the above documents should she send to IRCC, document 1 or 2?

Also, can someone please post the web form. Thank you all so much in advance.

Thank you so much for your response. It is greatly appreciated. The thing is, that reference letter was issued by my company, I don’t have an option of removing any details, basically my job experience is more of corporate governance compliance. I looked at the job duties of legal administrative assistant and at the time it looked like that was the right NoC. But I guess no, cause I was obviously wrong.

You seem to have a lot of knowledge about this, perhaps you could suggest to me what you think would be the appropriate NOC code? I don’t want to make mistakes again, cause definitely if God willing, the need arises for me to submit a reference letter, this would be the same version that my company would issue, since I’m still doing the same job.

Many many thanks in advance to everyone who takes out to help me out

jasperonyx:

Also, all these listed are the work you did, very good.

But are these all under Legal administrative assistant?

I understand the doing this and this, but when it comes to these journey, you have to sieve out the ones that do not fall under your Noc.

You can add the Noc for buisness development and list those experience under it.
If not, stick only to the duties under the Legal administrative assistant.

Odi kwa clear?

Please I am desperately in need of help. Can someone please tell me what would
Be the applicable NOC code ? Attached is my reference letter. I am Nigerian trained lawyer. But currently I am working in another country (I am only qualified to practice law in Nigeria). I have received rejection for NOC code mismatch. I choose legal administrative assistant. I took the time to read almost all this threads and I still couldn’t find the answer to what could be my applicable NoC. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can assist me. Thank you all in advance

Hi Lizzie, are you going for a program that is starting in September Also, how did you go about your police clearance certificate
Lizzie382:
Submitted my visa application but could not certify at high court since courts are on strike, I had to only notarize all sponsor documents, including my sponsor data page..please I will want to ask, can the embassy verify sponsor data pages/visa pages? If so, the authenticity of his information if verified will be positive for my application. Can they verify that please

Sorry I’m not quite familiar on how this platform works, I don’t even know if it’s possible to chat here. After much hustle that I learnt how to send a message.

Also, for Vilnius university has a live chat option on their site, I don’t know if you can see the option whilst using a phone, but it isn’t almost always available on the desktop. So in my application process I just made sure to ask them any questions and the response was instantaneous, lol, well yeah because it’s a live chat.

Well you can try reaching out to them that way, or maybe message me if you’d need my personal help.

I intend to apply for MSc Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Vilnius University. I would like you to guide me in the process so I can be admitted as you did.
Thanks

I did mine through a notary public instead of court, and the school accepted it
emmsana:

congratulations bro,

how did you notarized your documents?
now that all court are on strike.

I have made my application fee payment this morning.
I need to submit my documents before deadline.
Travel / Re: Lithuania Student Visa by Sleeknay: 5:51pm On Apr 20, 2021

1. Please when can I apply for visa, (the session resumes on 1st of September, 2021)

2. the police clearance certificate, if I get it in Lagos, do I still need to take it to Foreign affairs ministry in Abuja to have it legalized ?

3. Do I need to write IELTS even though the school did not request for it, and it’s not on the VFS documents checklist.

Thanks a lot for your response, I appreciate, but quick question, I’d need a minimum balance of 5M despite the fact that I have a sponsor who is paying for my tuition and other expenses

Also, what is the implication of submitting a 3 months bank statement ?

CowbellY:

2. start from 5m

3. 6 months

4. yeah, you can but I suggest you find a way to explain a close relationship. The VO would ask why your family isn't sponsoring you, and they'll ask for your relationship to the person.

5. you can apply by July. Or June. It doesn't matter, they'll probably give you a further entry date.

Best of luck.

I just got a friend who’s abroad to pay for me using his account and I sent the naira equivalent to his naira account, the school acknowledged receipt of the payment within 3 days
Ab123455:
please can you help me with information on how you paid for your application fees. Did you pay via a Nigerian bank?

Someone should please help me out with this!!!!!!

Sleeknay:
Good evening everyone, please I need assistance and guidance from the gurus here with respect to the following questions:

1. I’ve applied for a masters in law program at Vilnius university (waiting for feedback) I’d like to know if anyone is enrolled at the school and if you can give me any information concerning the school.

2. How much is sufficient amount of money to have in my bank account?

3. How many months bank statement is required, cause I just started building my bank account last month (March)

4. I’d like to use my family friend, he’s very rich and would have enough funds, is it advisable to use him as sponsor ?? (P.S he’s the best bet I have as all my family members are not particularly buoyant, I’d appreciate suggestions on how to make him suitable to stand as my sponsor)

5. The program is scheduled to start in September, when is the latest I must apply for visa?

I’ve read this thread from start to finish, albeit a little while back and it’s been super helpful, it’s amazing how people have taken their time to enlighten others, may the almighty bless your Labour of love.

Anyways I’d really really appreciate answers on any of the questions above. Thanks a lot guys!!

GLORY GLORY GLORY... MY VISA WAS GRANTED.
i did my biometrics on 20th October, got a mail from TLC to come pick up on 6th November (13 working days).
i dont know how i was lucky cause sincerely i was really scared and skeptical on my chances of getting the visa.
cause one i didnt upload my bank statement, there was no point cause my account isnt clear, i have unusual credits there, and from what i gathered here, bank statements issues are always a cause of refusal.

i think what did the trick for me is because i made my application simple, i ensured i summarized all my points and put everything i needed to say in the Application form, i did that because in case the ECO does not open my cover letter i would still be grounded cause i have laid my case already.

Also, i would be travelling with my boyfriend, so i uploaded our pictures and i did an explanation on where we took all the pictures, (i included pictures of us at date night, goofy pictures, e.t.c, but nothing inappropriate) my reason was i needed the pictures as proof of relationship because he is my sponsor for the trip. also in my cover letter i refered the ECO to his bank statement and the actual dates when he sent money to me, because he always send money to me.

finally, for my itinerary, what i did was to google tourist places in uk that relates to my career, rather than stating the generic london eye e.t.c, i needed something to show that albeit that i am travelling for tourism i still want to gain something from the trip.

This worked for me, it may not work for everyone , so this is just for enlightenment, i learnt so much from reading this thread, so i just thought to share my story also.

goodluck to everyone expecting a positive news.

Okay, thank you very much for your response, i can breath now.
hopefully if the visa approval is guranteed, i would come back and give a downline of my application timeline and supporting documents.
fingers crossed, and goodluck to everyone expecting a decision.
UhnNah:

The recent trend is that they send refusal emails to unapproved applications! So if you didn’t receive such email and just dispatched email from tls, there’s a 95% chance that your visa has been approved!

Depends on where you are in Nigeria but you should get your passport from DHL latest by Wed!

Hello Gurus in the house, i want to thank everyone doing a great job here by posting their timelines and proffering advice, i must say, i gained a lot here and that gave me the courage to do my application myself. hopefully i would come back shortly to post my good news.

i have a quick question please, i did my biometrics on 20th October, and i just got a mail from TLS that my passport has been dispatched (i paid for courier service), i did not get any mail from UKVI, i believe my timeline has been less than 15 working days. my question now are:
1. does this mean that my visa has been approved,
2. seeing that today is Friday, when is the likely date i would get my passport from DHL

i would sincerely appreciate your response as i am freaking out here
