Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has congratulated the newly elected President of Liberia, George Weah, describing him as someone destined by God to be president. He said “I salute George Weah’s courage and resilience in spite of the activities and machinations of oppressors and interlopers who blocked his victory 12 years ago. Because the likes of former President Olusegun Obasanjo are not God, George Weah has been able to achieve his destiny through the grace and power of God and I wish him a successful tenure.” The governor, who also described the United Nation’s (UN) choice of Obasanjo as a mediator in Liberia as misplaced, pointed out that “Someone like Obasanjo, who was at the center of the manipulation of George Weah’s electoral victory 12 years ago should not be the one to mediate now that he (Weah) has secured the victory that he was denied then.” Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government and particularly the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to learn from what happened in Liberia and allow the will of the people to prevail in 2018 and 2019 elections. He said, “the emergence of George Weah as Liberia President 12 years after he was short-changed by those who wielded power at that time is a further confirmation that there is no God in man.” Governor Fayose called on the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres to withdraw the nomination of Obasanjo as a mediator in Liberia, noting that; “Obasanjo, who was a major actor in the Liberia’s 2005 election crisis lacked moral rights to be a mediator in the affairs of that country now that it had the first peaceful transfer of power from one democratically- elected leader to another in more than 70 years. He will rather compound the problems in Liberia because I don’t see him being trusted by the President-Elect, whom he (Obasanjo) openly worked against in 2005 to impose the outgoing President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for reasons best known to him. “The UN should be mindful of the fact that someone like Obasanjo that may be seen as celebrity and champion of democracy internationally is actually a bad and decaying element, lacking democratic credential here in Nigeria, considering his failed third term agenda.” The governor told leaders of Africa, especially the democrats among them to always avoid leaders like Obasanjo with questionable antecedents, saying “he is the actual confusion in the continent.” www.tribuneonlineng.com/fayose-congratulates-george-weah-liberias-president-elect/

Man! do you still have any story to spew?
This is juz a reminder for Muslims and not Savage like you. |
I pity those tyres |
Have you forgotten how to go to Jumu'ah the right way?
Let me remind you about the five things you should
ALWAYS do as a Muslim to catch the feeling that makes
you thank God it's Friday the Islamic way. 1 Cut your nails . One of the rituals of attending Jumu'ah service is cutting your nails in obedience to the Sunah (ways) of prophet Muhammad (SAW) We don't go to Jumu'ah with fingernails that look like a fork. So neatly cut your finger and toe nails. 2 Performing ghusl. This is very important on Fridays before we set out for Jumuah. Ghusl is a ritual bath done to purify our body. It is the same Ghusl we take for Janabah. The prophet said, " O gathering of Muslims, Allah has made this day an eid for you, so make ghusl and use the miswak. " 3 Beautifying one's self . Friday is a festive day for Muslim according to prophet Muhammad, so you are expected to go to mosque wearing your best dress. It is not only improper to wear your workshop clothes to the mosque, it is also unwise to purify your body by performing Ghusl and then wear a dirty dress to the house of Allah. If you will be going to Jumu'ah from your workshop, take another clothes along. 4 Using the miswak : Islam is a religion that prioritises cleanliness and this is why brushing your mouth before you go for Jumuah is advised. In fact, the prophet used to brush his mouth with miswak five times daily before every prayer. So, brush your mouth and smile at the world on your way to Jumuah. 5 Using perfume : The use of perfume often makes us feel good about ourselves right? Good. Use perfume and go to Jumu'ah with that mindset. Feel good, be happy and swing into a festive mood. All these are permitted within the ambit of Islam. So feel free to enjoy your religion. Once you do all these, set out for Jumuah and reap the rewards for observing jumat prayer. |

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has
said the victory of his party, APC in the presidential election
in 2015 signified the exit of Nigeria from hell.
He also stated that no one should pray for the return to
power of the former ruling party, PDP – this he said in an
interview with newsmen in Abuja.
The minister also said the APC is not scared of the the
possibility that PDP would return to power in 2019.
In his own words, ‘Now, as to whether we are afraid that the PDP would win, I can tell you absolutely, we couldn’t even contemplate it because it would be a tragedy for Nigeria to fall back into the hands of PDP. Look, we have very painstakingly taken this country through hell, I mean, they dropped us in hell, and we are taking you people out of hell, we can’t come back to Egypt. No, I am serious, it is not about APC, it is about President Muhammadu Buhari, it’s like the kind of revelations that are coming out, the kind of rot, you want those people to come back and preside over the affairs of Nigeria again. Now, let me ask you for instance what would happen to the investigations that have been held if the PDP should win in 2019? They would be swept under the carpet’ he said www.yabaleftonline.ng/taken-nigeria-hell-nobody-pray-pdps-return-lai-mohammed/

According to him, there was no report made against Bobrisky. Edgar Imohimi, the Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police said, no report was made against Bobrisky. In a chat with Punch’s correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday,he continued by saying the Police had no problem with the cross-dresser. ‘We didn’t arrest Bobrisky’, said the Lagos CP. Which is in totoal contrast to reports coming in yesterday about Bobrisky’s personal recount of the reason behind the arrest. “I don’t know about the arrest, and the command did not arrest him. He does not have any problem with the command. Ask him who arrested him.” www.dailygossip.ng/news/lagos-commissioner-police-edgar-imohimi-denies-arrest-bobrisky/
