I have made great progress.
I have been able to create a collapsible accordion with my little knowledge of JavaScript. I still have a long way to go though

Okay, from an intelligent prospectives perspective, I no go come that site again.

Firstly, I'd like to ask, did you code and design this yourself? If YES!
Go back and learn more about design trends... especially for social media, dating sites and social networks.
Have you heard about minimalistic designs and how they tend to flow with users especially in a space like social platforms.

There's nothing special here, back in 2012 then things, guy dey wey try enter market with this kind things, e no work then, and e no go work now.

I won't talk plenty so i no go cross boundary, but ask yourself, if you were to pay premium fees to meet people on this site, would you pay it?
UI/UX isn't a joke. Companies pay for it for a reason.

2. You still haven't learned much have you? If you need to learn something , anything, get a book on the subject and teach yourself whatever it is. It is cheaper than going back to pay for a degree.

You have the skills to create for yourself something that might become a niche of sorts to propel you into a limitless future, so what have you been waiting for? If I had half your skills and found myself without work, I would probably consider translating a book or screenplay from one local language to English —adding illustrations or even making it a complete graphic novel— after which I then pitch the idea back to the screenwriter or publisher.

Take for example the 80s TV series 'Arelu' which featured the recently passed actor Ojo Arowosafe who acted the "Fadeyi Oloro" which has never been translated to English for a broader audience. Even at that, there are no books on the story. Well, what can a linguistic graduate with Corel Draw skills do in this? He can gather a bunch of friends — even other unemployed here on Nairaland —and work together to translate the entire series, choosing to include graphic illustrations or better still convert it all into a graphic novel series and then present this as an idea to the original 'Arelu' writers or production company to owns the copywriter to the work. Javascript from beginner to professional

So like the title of this thread implies, omo javascript wants to kill me.
I started this journey around late June, done with html and css and started javascript late August. I have been reading a book and practicing little by little only for me to hit a brick wall when I got to loops. All fingers crossed, I patched that aspect and moved on hoping to get better when I start practicing fully. Omo on getting to event listeners, I hit another wall.
Under the exercise for that chapter, I was told to make a collapsible accordion and a count-down timer( for the timer, after spying and watching a little video, I was able to grasp a little of what it entails)
I sha created this thread to rant cause giving up is no longer an option.
When I started, it was all about the money but now, I got so many projects in my head I would love to create just to feel good about myself.
Any way sha, we move😂
