Nairaland General › Illicit Act Of Foreign Nationals Working On Business Visa By Zte Nigeria by slimtriggaman(op): 6:19pm On May 25, 2017 |
Following a disturbing observation of the high concentration of foreign nationals at an office building at Plot 20, Udi Street, Osborne estate Ikoyi Lagos. It was discovered to be officially occupied by a company known as ZTE NIGERIA. Information made available indicates that about 70% of the expatriates working within this organisation are on business visas issued by the Nigerian government. However, approximately 60% of these visas are understood to have expired and these foreign nationals are working without valid work permits. The laws of Nigeria relating to employment of foreign nationals clearly prohibit their employment without valid work permits. Over 70 foreign nationals from Asia are currently in paid employment at this organisation which is seriously devoid of local content. Also, the organisation is paying these foreign nationals at the expense of the huge armada of unemployed Nigerians for skills that are readily available in Nigeria. It is also suspected that there are no ancillary taxes (P.A.Y.E et al) being paid to the government of Nigeria. ZTE NIGERIA operates in Nigeria with a huge number of foreign nationals devoid of local content as the ratio of local to foreign nationals is 1:8 and this has been the norm for several years within the company. It is also understood that the company operates with impunity with the backing of certain highly placed individuals in society who are aiding and abetting this crime for pecuniary benefits. The contents of this article fall squarely within the ambit of the Nigeria Immigration Service and other various well-meaning forums and bodies to intervene urgently. It is hoped that this issue will be scrutinized appropriately and scrupulously dealt with to ensure that the right steps are taken to prosecute any offenders for infractions of the laws of Nigeria. |

I am a living example, i wanted to buy brandnew tyres, the bill was 47k, i did a tbills investment for 90days and got 49k discount interest upfront. I have changed my tires and had extra 2k for fuel, while my principal some is counting down till july to return to my account. zamirikpo: No matter how small ur funds are, saving via TB is always better than just leaving d money in a savings account, as long as u dont intend to use it immediately. Little drops of water would ultimately make a mighty ocean.
Am so addicted to this interest rates that the moment i can save 1m, am thinking of TB.....i feel so comfortable spending d resultant interest. It helps me save and spend at the same time. Eg. I have 1m, instead of buying a phone for a 100k and saving 900k, i buy TB for a yr,the interest of 180k would be used to buy d phone and i would still have left over, and remember i have also succeeded in saving 1m. |

Going by the OMO, state of the economy and recent amendment to economic policy in the country.. i suggest 17% would be a safe rate for 182 days, the last auction was 17.15%, i expect a shed of 0.1 to 0.15% at the next auction realjidejamal: Hello All, I want to bid for this week tbill at Union Bank. I am a first timer, i went to the bank yesterday to get the NTB application and agreement form. Pls i will like to know the safe rate to bid for 182 days, how to calculate the % and the best time to submit the form for bidding so as not to miss out. To all the gurus kindly advice.

Well i doubt, with recent inflation figure at 18.72 and the amount needed to be generated by next auction. I believe the rates would be fairly same or edge up a bit on next auction 02/03/07. I lost my 182 days bid by .5% but next fortnight would be successful feelamong: sorry bro...also lost my bid at 18.5%
seems the rates are now going down gradually...
na to quickly rush to the secondary market cos in two weeks time we might see even further decrease |

I think it is too early to know which rate to go for, reason being that the auction stop rates are majorly determined by economic factors and policies which are very dynamic. I suggest you lookout for the economic trend within next week. Hopefully by next week Friday or upper week Monday, you would be able to get an almost certain and safe rate to bid for from this forum. So prepare your mind to submit your auction form before COB on Monday 13th NL1960: Thanks.
So what do the gurus and yourself advise?. I want to jump in for the first time in the Feb 15, 2017 action using GTB for a 182-day tenor and i want success. Should i give my rate to GTB or should i allow them to use their rate?. If iam to use my rate, what is the safest rate band to get a success for a 182-day tenor?. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by slimtriggaman: 12:09pm On Feb 03, 2017 |
to the best of my knowledge (Gurus in the house can correct me), there are three major scenarios; 1.) If you go with bank rate, the success or failure of your auction depends solely on the bank 2.) If you go with your personal rate and your rate is higher than CBN stop rate and your bank uses a lower rate within CBN stop rate, your auction would not be successful. 3.) If you go with your personal rate and your rate is higher than the bank rate and lower than CBN stop rate, your auction would be successful, assuming the bank acknowledges your auction request. NL1960: What if you use your rate and the bank use their own rate and your rate end up being higher than CBN stop rate while the rate used by the bank is lower than CBN stop rate, will it not mean that you will lose out while those that went with bank rate will win or will the bank make you win in respective of the higher rate you use?. |

I agree with you on this one..MMM and cryptocurrency has taken over, little wonder no one knows the outcome of the auction yesterday ETHIX: November data for some people.
Some left Tbills for MMM
Some have used all their money for Tbills eaten the interest and praying the Tbills matures fast to either finish the principal or get another interest |
