Politics / Re: APC Southwest Caucus Endorses Buhari/fashola Ticket As The Only Way To Beat GEJ by Sloan: 2:38pm On Oct 25, 2014
That is the best combo! I like Amaechi and I think he will make a strong leader in any capacity! But the numbers does not add up seeing as he may win a state but will not do as much in sweeping many states in the SW! I support Amaechi for Senate President and hope APC will see that Amaechi is 100000 times better than the looney Jonadamned. The SE has made up their mind to do everything to ruin Nigeria by voting incompetence to so called retaliate for their loss of the civil war. Now APC has to go house to house in the NC and SS and Imo State to let people know that Nigeria will seriously deal with corruption under Buhari. When billions stop missing, more of the money can be used to build roads and infrastructure, fix power which will lead to more jobs and a better life for them and their children.

Did u say Crap, innuendos and lies? Did I forged them or. are the not facts that are there before you. Buhari is not your father and will never be. Don't allow ethnic sentiments cover your sense of reasoning! Vote wisely

Where are the facts except your illiteracy doesn't let you know the definition or meaning of facts. Were you there as an eye witness? Is there an official investigation and conviction of crime? When and where did it happen and where are the official records? I know you have none of those or even care about it! Your accursed name chidi says it all and the reason you are dying all over the place!

My family and people will vote for a man who can and will tackle corruption. A man that EFCC has nothing on, a man even Obasanjo attested to his integrity while both not being close friends but opponents at a presidential election. A man who has failed for 7 years and VP and President, who never made any achievement in Bayelsa, whose wife was investigated by EFCC for stealing millions and the case killed, who does not give a damn, who does not see the value in publicly declaring his assets, who thinks corruption is mere stealing, who harbours a man who killed 16 youths during a scam recruitment program in his cabinet, who harbours corruption and high level stealing ministers of Iweala, Maduekwe, Oduah, etc as ministers, who sacked a man who raised the alarm that $20 B is missing rather than get to the roots, a man who does not believe that 300 girls were kidnapped but is now saying the unstolen girls will be freed (how is that possible), who went to UN to say that it is 3 months ago when it was more than 5 months (but you said no girls were kidnapped), who has no plans or execution to solve the power problem, unemployment problem, corruption problem, healthcare and education, I could go on forever : SHOULD NEVER DREAM OF BEING RE-ELECTED AGAIN. THE FIRST TIME WAS A DEADLY MISTAKE.

In 2007, Yaradua declared his assets to be president just before becoming president, GEJ does not give a damn!

Why should a president that OPENLY supports corruption and does not care to declare his assets PUBLICLY ask to be president, let alone ask for re-election?

it seems to me that the only concrete evidence of divisiveness cited is that someone said GEJ was savior of Christians. What am I missing?

When Arthur Eze in the very presence of Jonadamned during the Anambra governorship election said that APC is Awolowo's Yoruba party, did he flinch? Did he step in and say, no, this election is about performance in government and our plan is superior to APC. No he did not, Seun were you dead at that time or you pretend not to know it happened?

When Jona takes governance to church kneeling down at Redeemed, Oritsejafor, etc saying all kinds of things on the pulpit while an elected president of a secular country, with all the paraphernalia of public office, is that not divisive? Why not go as a private citizen, worship in church and go home? Was he sensitive to the feelings of the millions of Nigerians who have a different faith and he should make his religious faith a private matter between him and God, not the business of government - Nigeria is a secular state if you missed it. I hope your ilk will not cry when the new president does everything Jona is doing but this time, he faces mecca?

Politics / Re: Most Annoying Nigerian Accents by Sloan: 2:36pm On Oct 24, 2014
Your post is silly! I speak Yoruba and my English accent is perfect, thanks in part to my education in Nigeria in the best schools, often with a lot of British/American influence. Back then, Phonetics was taught in JSS 2. If you speak terribly, it is because you've not made the effort to learn. However, there are many people who are Nigerians, who do not have any taint of Western English accent but their English is still very clear. They don't speak through their nose and they can address an audience of English speakers comfortably without any kind of native interference in their diction.

Most importantly, English is a foreign language to Nigeria and is not superior to the Yoruba language or any other native language for that matter. What is important is that when you are in an environment where you need to communicate with others, you can get your point across coherently. So, get a job and stop writing all these nonsense about people.

Politics / Re: America-nigeria Troubled Relations by Sloan: 2:20pm On Oct 24, 2014
Some Nigerians mistake speaking the truth for wanting to disintegrate the country! Lies will disintegrate anything much faster than truth would in a million years, is lying now a virtue? It is not news that the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Army especially, display complete disregard for human rights! Forget that they kill criminals that should be arrested, thoroughly interrogated so that every last piece of detail about crimes committed, is being committed and is planned to be committed will be known and Nigeria using its intelligence apparatus can nip such in the bud, they would quickly kill such a person extra-judicially. This is how cavemen and backward people operate, certainly not a people and country that is trying to advance and in need of human progress!

So, whether the US ambassador or whoever says it plainly that “the Nigerian Military is notoriously known for human rights abuses”, the question is: IS IT TRUE OR NOT? If it is true, why doesn't Nigeria work to change it? The value of a society, the strength of a society is looking at the weakest and smallest in the society, are they being cheated and brutalized? These people are the ones who suffer the most from such brutality and with no one to speak for them, no money to get justice in court and no military oga to help, they are killed, imprisoned and punished unfairly almost every time. Why shouldn't Nigeria do the right thing? If the army arrests a terrorist or criminal or arsonist, there are laws under which he can be prosecuted and convicted if found guilty. If the penalty is not strong enough for certain crimes, there are channels for making laws more severe through the judiciary but do not just kill them quickly to cover up the truth or in anger or because of official incompetence. For how long will Nigeria keep lying to itself? I will end with this: If a man/woman/country is willing and able to tell itself the naked truth about anything and take appropriate actions, there is no man/woman/country that will ever be able to intimidate it or make it uncomfortable by pointing out its flaws.

He is a failure and should go back to Kirikiri immediately.

Bombay and his ilk are phools! How can APC do that without a law being passed to that effect! How will such a law scale through 1st, 2nd, etc readings in the House of Rep and Senate with representatives from all states of Nigeria, with all regions represented?

Such a law will need to be assented to in majority of the state houses of assemblies. How will the law pass all the huddles and how many years will it take for it to happen? You mean of all the problems facing a new APC government, you'd think that it is this issue that will be of pressing concern to them?

Any such law will still have to be assented to by the president who represents the interests of a country, not his personal belief. His personal opinion is not the requirement but that of the majority of his constituents, with advice from his cabinet, also drawn from all states of the country.

Finally, the law can be challenged in the courts and you think any such thing will be possible?

Did Jonathdamned rob of your native common sense or you were just born to be dum.ber than daf.t??

Obiagelli:
THE Ijaw Global Policy Network, IGPN, an
umbrella body of some Ijaw youths in the South South,
has endorsed Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as its
candidate for the 2015 presidential election.
The group said after much deliberations, it decided to
jettison sentiment and back the candidature of Buhari
for the presidency in the interest of the nation.
According a statement by the group’s spokesman,
Ayubalayefa Dennis, “our decision to throw our weight
behind Buhari was informed by his commitment to rescue
the nation from misrule and corruption.
“We are appealing to the leadership of All
Progressives Congress, APC, to adopt Buhari as the
party’s sole candidate to contest the 2015 presidential
election.”

www.vanguardngr.com/2014/10/ijaw-global-network-endorses-buhari/

This is really sensible. I would go further by asking that they also negotiate for what benefits the interest of the region in the context of Nigeria. This is not a problem but a win-win situation even for Buhari when he becomes president. It will help him to be focused on what the people want and under the mandate of the federal government. If some major road, bridges or environmental clean-up is what is beneficial and demanded, then he can focus on it and tell his minister responsible, X, Y, Z in this region is REQUIRED to be completed by 3 years time. Draw up a time table for what MUST be completed and within a budget. I sense Buhari will select ministers responsibly who will perform and within 3 years or whatever timeline agreed, the work can be completed or 90%+ will be done.

For Nigeria, the biggest need now is to kill corruption before it kills everyone in the country! Accountability, strong leadership, someone with the desire and will to take the right decisions no matter how hard it is, is what Nigeria needs. Buhari is in the prime position to make such calls, not a lilly-livered Jonadamed who says stealing is not corruption!

Politics / How Has Jonathan's Government (PDP) Improved Your Life In The Past 5 Years? by Sloan: 4:29pm On Oct 23, 2014
If you are a regular Nigerian who is not part of those sharing the national cake, I want to know how Jonathan's government has improved your life. Is your life better now or worse?

1. Power
2. Is there enough food at reasonable prices to eat? For $200 - $ 300 you can eat reasonably, is N 30 K - N 45 K enough to feed a family of two in Nigeria today?
3. Jobs
4. Have the roads been built now and infrastructure improved?
5. Increased Salary or Volume of Sales
6. Better Healthcare access and delivery
7. Better Education with no strikes and cut throat tuition fees
8. Security - can you travel from the north to the south, from east all the way to the West starting your journey at 10 pm in your own private car, with your wife and children without any worries
9. Do you feel more confident that you will have a happy retirement with your nest egg being enough to spend for 20 years after you quit at 60 - 65?
10. Are you sure that your children and their children will inherit prosperity and a bright future and Nigeria being implemented for Nigeria today?

If the answer to all these questions is a resounding YES, then you should re-elect the government but if not, YOU will be insane to expect magic after for 15 years you've been sold down the bottom of the barrel!

13. Minister of Info., Samson Omeruah
14. Transportation, Abdullahi Ibrahim
15. Energy, Tam David-West
16. Justice, Chike Ofodile
17. Works, Patrick Koshoni

That would be six only out of 17 positions, right

But that cabinet achieved more than anything the retardeenous cantankerous bastard GEJ has done in 7 years and president and VP! There were no laws or practices that mandated the federal cabinet to one have minister from each state at that time! Buhari chose quality people who he believed could perform the job without corruptly enriching themselves or finding a reason to allow only their tribesmen to steal money as in the cases of the perpetual AGIP from the east. Today, the cabinet is drawn from every state, the laws are passed by the judiciary and there are courts to resolve issues so you have no point. Stop lying like a cheating bitc.h thinking readers don't know better than your lies!!

Anyways, you are either being coy or stoopid to make that statement because your aim is to muddy the waters with tribalism and religion. Anyone in Nigeria can start his own party and build a following, if any person or people do nothing or fail serially like APGA and your people, it is not the job of others to work for you, form party, campaign, build alliances, etc and then call an uninterested person in his house to come and lead or become a candidate.

South west is surly in APC so Fashola should go for senate president while buhari/ Rochas, if U put Rochas the Igbos are going to vote massively because it is what they are asking for if not GEJ will win but on a serious note most Igbos thinks they are thinking why they are not

Any Ibo on any ticket in Nigeria is a waste, APC should NEVER put ibo on their ticket! Forget sentiments, glaring facts show that Ojukwu the ibo god got less than 3% of votes in 2003 failing shamelessly in Iboland. Ume-Ezeoke the betrayer and traitor that was the first to snap at the opportunity when ANPP failed to win in 2007. I can go on, APC should understand that their brightest chance if winning is to follow the numbers: the North and SW are the clear majority (in native population) in Nigeria. Buhari already has 12 M+ in the north and most Yorubas will NEVER pick a failure or mediocre even if he is their brother over a performant go-getter that inspires them, regardless of religion!

How has Muslim-Christian (Yaradua-GEJ) or Christian-Muslim (GEJ-Sambo) changed the economic fortunes of Nigeria and improve the lot of the average Nigerian? Religion does not solve economic issues and most Yorubas have their own families of almost every religious persuasion! However the APC must continually harp on this important fact because PDP is jittery and rather than to is on how to explain their failure for the past 16 years, they have payed people like tit, Descartes, phockman, chino, and most ibos to keep muddying the waters with trash talk.

With APC fielding Buhari and Fashola, they have the number majority but also the strongest ticket in recent times, a proven and incorruptible leader Buhari who can and who has the integrity to fix Nigeria's shameful corruption problem and an energetic, forward looking Fashola, a super-brilliant and competent administrator and technocrat. GEJ and his absent deputy are corruption personified and protectors of corrupt people, they are neither competent nor technocrats but the people who have preserved the status quo of the backward cycle of the country.

However, the APC have their work cut out for them in the MB, SS and Imo State to directly speak to the people and have a meta get out the vote operation. People need hope and someone to inspire them and APC has a chance to do that and get the moderates and educated ones to look at the facts of their current economic situation for the past 16 years and try a different approach, a different team, a different government, not the failure of PDP they have tried for the last 16 years.

I conclude by emphasizing that any ibo man will never bring anything to any political ticket in Nigeria that crosses outside of Iboland. Ibos are insular, short-sighted and narrow minded people who will cut off their nose to spite their own face, thinking it changes the outcome of the 1967 - 1970 war they lost - it changes nothing really. The MB and SS and Imolites are more rational and open to new ideas and people, perhaps less tribalistic as the excluded ibo areas who are either too tribalistic or too poor to look up from their grinding poverty (Anambra - Ebonyi). It is up to Nigerians to rescue themselves from this useless PDP, God or any other country will not come to your rescue.
