Hi everyone. Please I'm here again. My wife's transcript has been sent to WES and it has been delivered to them and signed for by one C Maple since Thursday. This is evidenced via DHL tracking. Up till now her status still remains "Transcript not received".

Please I need suggestions on steps I am to take now to ensure that they acknowledge the receipt of the transcript?

Thanks

Very upsetting stuff but thats WES alright. Just relax, it should get updated within one or two more days. Same A. Maple received and signed for bothe my transcripts and verification. Cheers

You can get Alagbon PCC at the CID department of the Police Headquarters in your state of residence. You do not need to go to Lagos for this. This applies to ALL states

Fantastic info. I went to the CID office at the state which i'm resident and it was a relief as i learnt i could do it there.

Many thanks. You guys in here are the best!!

It's your supervisor's discretion to issue and sign the letter. You can also add the generic letter from HR alongside employment letter and other docs u might have.

But there is absolutely nothing to worry about. It's not illegal nor fraudulent as long as the info contained and true.

Thanks @boldinc. I got the mail from HR declining my request for CIC format. I feel safer going with the plain paper supervisor letter and employment/promotion letters route. I really appreciate ate your input on this. Thanks and God bless. My our canny dreams come true

I am happy u have come to this conclusion. Pls thread cautiously. better to err on the side of caution.

IMO, once your HR has declined giving u a reference in d CIC format, you should have no business using their letter head( most likely unauthorized).....except if HR expressly authorized u to and can corroborate that they did.

It is just better to avoid raising any queries on your app. No two files are treated d same so your best shot is to avoid confusions.

Kindly use a plain sheet for your reference and state clearly that your HR has declined giving in a cic pattern (support this claim by adding correspondences btw u and HR, and the letter HR gave u)...also include your supervisor's bizness card/contact details...
Then u can go ahead to include letters of employment, promotion, payslips, etc just to buttress your claim.

I read you loud and clear Sir.

Many thanks

If the supervisor reads, approves and signs the letter, how will CIC know that some one else drafted it? Considering the fact that CIC mentioned the letter should be issued by EITHER the HR or the supervisor on the company's letter head?

I'll ask my supervisor if He is authorized by the company to use letter head papers and if he can tale the pain for me. Possibly the only that can work out and if not, i do the plain paper/notary public with other documents.

I appreciate all inputs on this matter. I'll certainly update with the route i decide on.

@behati.. Thanks. I saw the gt bank case. Crazy stuff. But there was a hint of attempted misrepresentation from that.

Gracias

Pls also collect the introduction letter from ur HR and add it to your employment documents. If u can send them a mail and request for a ref in CIC format and make them respond that they cant give u in CIC format...also include their response with ur docs. You will be fine. But as advised...i think u should use plain paper for ur supervisor's letter. Cheers

Yes. Noted. I'll send a mail requesting the CIC format letter. Many thanks

@Slyman187, I would not advice you to use a company's letter head paper without permission/authorisation, it is wrong! You can search for the case between CIC and sone Gtb employee.
Get your supervisor to write the reference letter in CIC format on plain paper with his contact details and probably business card. Thereafter, notarize it and attach every other document you have alongside a LOE, you'll be good.

Wow!! Dilemma

Thanks a lot for the input. I think i'll just slow down and do proper research so i can get this thing right without hitches.

Yes, you can get your supervisor to sign the letter you draft, but you need to print in on the letter headed paper... That should not be difficult for you or supervisor to get a hold of. That's what my wife did.

Try avoiding the notary if you can.

Thank you very much Sir. I already have the letter headed paper and i was going to draft the supervisor letter on that. I was also going to add the business card of my supervisor too. Only thing is i got a scare from a colleague who said CIC would be aware that my company does not give such letters and that if i try to satisfy them by giving the letter as requested, it might come across to them as fraudulent and doctored.

But i'll go ahead with it as it has worked for you. Many thanks and very much appreciated.

Hello house. I appreciate the constant help provided in here but i'm here with some fresh dilemma.

This is regarding the work experience letter. My company HR declined my request for the letter saying they do not issue such.

Please what can i do?

I have my employment letter and duty change memos which carry my Job Title which i claimed NOC points for.

I also have my payslips which indicate the department i worked.

My company HR issued a generic introduction letter which only mentions that i'm a staff, date i joined and my annual salary on letter head.

My thoughts are to get my supervisor at work to sign a letter written in CIC requested format NOT ON COMPANY LETTERHEAD PAPER. If i get it attested and notarized can it fly?

Please i need your opinions elders in the house. Many thanks.

Dis ur case is unique. Am going to try and answer to d best of my abilities.

1. I think u need to answer YES. Then add a succinct letter of explanation detailing the circumstances.

2. Indeed u need divorce papers.

Thanks for the swift response. Those were exactly my thoughts. Appreciated.

Hi guys. I just entered the EE pool with a score of 433. I have some questions boggling me which i require help with and any opinions will be welcome and appreciated. I don't know if i'm posting this in an appropriate thread so if i'm not, my apologies please.

My questions are as follows:

1. I interviewed at US embassy in 2012 for a (DV) diversity visa lottery as a beneficiary to a principal applicant. Even though i wasn't asked any questions, i ran my bio-metrics. The principal applicant was found ineligible on the grounds of not meeting minimum education or labor requirements. When filling the schedule A form, must i answer YES to the question of having been denied a visa to another country before?

2. My second question is regarding previous marriages. As the US consular office has my records of being a beneficiary to a visa applicant, i have to state that i have a previous marriage in form IMM0008DEPENU. I entered the EE pool with a different spouse which raises my question. Must i have marriage annulment or divorce papers for the previous relationship?

I ask because i read that the Canadian laws frown upon polygamy and bigamy.

Hi guys. I have a pressing question which i need opinions on.
I interviewed as beneficiary to a us dv lottery applicant which was refused back in 2012. Must i answer yes to having being denied a visa before? It confuses me because i wasn't the principal applicant then as such, my name was not on the refusal letter. Any input will be appreciated. If it helps, the refusal was on grounds of ineligibility.
