Please what are the chances of getting a scholarship for international Business Administration in Tallinn University and also the chances of staying back in Estonia after studies? I need clarification

Qst 1. There is no Nigerian studying in Estonia who is not benefitting from at least one scholarship.

Qst 2. You can stay 6months longer after your program. If you find a job, then you can apply for work permit.

Try mailing them directly explaining to them that you did all your education in English and that you are willing to take the English test also in the school when granted admission.. But how low was your score? Very low or just a little below the cut off Mark they asked for?

It won't help to tell your school you studied in English. Your toefl should speak for you. The best thing is to write it again.

Thank you,sir.

I don't know what to do now, I just have to keep my fingers cross.

You can apply to write another toefl, then apply to another university.

Hello all,

I need to apply for Egypt tourist Visa. My major problem is their flight reservation requirement. How do I get this without having to pay for the flight until after the Visa is granted.

I would appreciate if anyone who has recently applied for the Visa can give some guidance.

Thanks in advance.

Hello guys please I need your help.
I'm about to apply for Integrated engineering at Tallinn University of technology. I have Neco 2017 Nov/Dec online print out. I contacted Neco for the original or statement they said after 4 years. Please who has idea what I should do? Tallinn said only Notarized copy is accepted

Notarize your online printout.

Next question, how do I notarize?

Answer: Look for a law firm in your city that has a "Notary Public". They will do the job for you. Some take 1k or less per page to notarize depending on the law firm. If you go Festus Keyamu chambers them fit tell you 50k ooooo.

when do you think its ideal to book appointment with India, wouldn't want a date that will be too early, prefer ending of June .

Absolutely depends on individual. But if you are going to Estonia from India, it will make more sense to have an appointment close to resumption date.

Anyhow you can legally travel out of the country is good bro. Tourist, medical, etc etc is fine. Then you can visit Estonian embassy there. No problems with that.

Thanks for your prompt answer. I really appreciate it. There is a copy I collected for personal use. I am only concerned if they would accept notarized copies.

Many Universities do. I have tried it for Germany and the UK. You can e-mail them ahead, telling them of the challenges in Nigerian Universities at the moment. Estonia will accept that too. Am almost sure of this.

Kudos to all the guys who have been keeping this thread open. And to all prospective students, I say success to you in your applications.
Considering the almost 4 months strike that has paralyzed the University system in Nigeria and has made issuance of transcripts impossible, how does a prospective student who has been asked to send her transcripts solve this issue? Wise counsel is urgently needed especially from those already in Estonia. Thanks

This question should be best directed to those in Nigeria.
If you already have a soft/hard copy of your transcript (maybe you have used it to apply to other schools before), you can notarize that copy and send.
Otherwise you need to look for "connection" in your University. Very difficult but possible. They can help you with a copy of your transcript, usually for a fee.
Transcript is a must for admission. And if you ever get to lay your hands on your transcript, make a copy and keep for yourself.

I hope this helps.

Please I have these questions.
1)when are we likely to get admission letter from school?? What month.. This will help in planning my trip
2)if I get to Estonia embassy and they grant me visa, can I go into Estonia before school time, like 2months ahead
3)has anyone used Ukraine?? I heard it is close to Estonia and it has been used by some persons

Qst. 1. Expect admission letter one month after the deadline of application.

Qst. 2. Usually the consular officer will check your travel itenary and may ask you when you want to enter Estonia. But he has the final say. He will likely give you a date close to resumption. So your visa will have a start date you can enter Estonia. But I will advise you against travelling so early as you cannot work on arrival (no TRP).

Qst 3. I have not used it. I know of someone who tried but was denied Ukrainian visa.

I hope you find this helpful

It is not possible to book appointment with Turkish embassy now. You have to wait until you receive admission letter from Estonia. Otherwise you may end up uploading false documents. My advise for you is to wait.

Who can help me with sample of reference letter I am referencing a friend in EUAS

Thanks for your help

Your request is not clear. Are you an applicant wishing to use your friend in EUAS as referee? Or do you want to act as a referee for your friend in EUAS?

In any case, Universities in Europe are serious Universities. They do not accept Friend as your referee. A good referee is one who knows you professionally and/or academically such as your project supervisor, lecturer or employer. I advise you to find a Professor in your previous university or a teacher in your previous secondary school to be your referee. This increases your chance of admission.

It is so sad to see that applicants for next academic session want to kill this thread.

I hope your brothers and sisters who would apply in the future would be able to find the information you shared on Whatsapp.

I also hope that those who have been to or are in Estonia are also part of the Whatsapp group to give advice.

This thread has been one of the most trusted threads I have seen on the internet. Please keep it alive.

And if you ever fall on the wrong hands on Whatsapp group, feel free to return here for advice.

Hi Guys,

I came to Tallinn September last year and i went through a lot to get here. I cant believe i made it here. Am going to share few tips with you on what i wished someone told me before i came. This is my personal opinon

Admission
Ensure you apply for admission early because most time its given on first come, first serve basis.
Strive to get a tuition waiver. if you cant get one, then its fine. Just ensure you bring enough money to cover at least one year tuition.
Apply for scholarships, this will help you a lot prior to finding a job.
Do your IELTS/TOEFL test early.

This is actually the easy part, now the hard part

After Getting Admission
Once you get your admission decision, ensure you apply for visa early like in April. Turkey, Russia, Israel and Egypt are your best routes. Dont waste your money on UK.
For Israel route, contact Godswill Nkwusi. He was the one that helped them last year.
Try to form a whats app group, this will help a lot especially with information.
Apply for hostel very early. Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 is really nice but for those looking for affordable accommodation Akadeemia tee 5 and 11 is great.
Buy health insurance preferably Swiss as the other option (ERGO) is more expensive, if you are on a budget you can pay quarterly.
Do not carry any form of medicine or contraband into the airport because as a Nigerian, you will be subjected to an embarrassing form of baggage search.
Dress decently to the airport, the more professional you look, the less scrutinised you are.
Turkish airline is the best you can use from Nigeria to Transit destination to Estonia. This is because when you get to Istanbul, you will not be searched again as against when you enter Schegen zone.
Book an appointment with the Estonian embassy on time.
Do not exceed your visa stay as you will pay a penalty on point of departure.
Book an airbnb accommodation i.e you can book a three bedroom flat and three people can share the cost. Be careful and try not to stay with strangers all in the name of cutting cost. Most Nigerian guys do a lot of dubious stuff in these countries so be careful.
When going to the Estonian embassy, please have all the required documents, print and fill your form correctly. It makes life easier for you trust me.
For those without scholarship, ensure you have a sponsor's letter or an account with enough money in it.
The fear of Euro academy is the beginning of wisdom. It is so unpredictable and they have this constant battle with the government so please be careful.
Please if you are coming to Estonia with the intention of hustling and running away from school (especially euroacademia students), dont bother coming, so you dont create bad name for us.
Bring your laptop and buy your phone in Nigeria as these things are expensive here.
Ensure you bring enough money for your living expenses (1000 euros). TRP takes time to come out and you cant get a job without your TRP.
Dont waste your time packing clothes because you may not use it. Just pack sneakers, sweaters, hoodies and winter jackets for the cold.
For those using Egypt and turkey, be very careful because i assure you, you will be ripped off (moneywise) especially cab men
Estonian food suck, so make sure you bring some naija foodstuffs from home especially milk, palmoil, crayfish e.t.c

Lastly, ensure you read this page from the beginning as it would help you a lot.

If i remember any more tips, i would post. Pardon the English as it was written in a hurry.

I enjoy eating Estonian food. New students can try them out with an open mind.

Milk (liquid) sold in Estonia is very nice.

Try to make friends with locals. It is one sure way to enjoy your stay.

Carry anti-malaria drug if you think you have malaria prior to travelling. Since there is no malaria in Estonia it would be difficult and expensive to find anti-malaria drugs.

In Tallinn you can find Nigerian foods to buy. But not in Tartu.

Turkish Airline is a low cost airline so it is affordable. And let me tell you this secret. If you transit on this airline and your layover/waiting time at the airport is up to 4 hours, then you qualify for a meal ticket. Just find Turkish Airline customer support desk and request for it. It may sound funny but when you have to wait in Turkey for 25 hours before your next flight then you will know how much you would save yourself as food is very expensive at airports. The airline won't tell you this.

Hi guys, thanks for all the solid info.

Please, I have two questions.

What's the format for the Skype interview?

Anyone with an idea on the chances of securing a scholarship?

Thanks

Qst.1: It is like every other interview. Expect questions about your program and motivation.

Qst. 2: There is no Nigerian studying in Estonia who is not on at least one scholarship. .
