Interestingly, I was chatting with some folks that said the main reason they left Nigeria was because of those behavior of many employers not wanting to pay salary when due. I was shocked at the many big cooperations owing salary. Nigeria labour laws need to be revamped.

They talked about the not so big employers even buying big houses and new luxury SUVs while their employees where owed months of salary.

That's common knowledge for anyone following world economics. The US, Canada, EU e.t.c have stopped raising interest rate. There will likely be cuts starting from middle of this year.

You see Nigerians are not very industrious people. If barber's get selfish, buy a clipper and cut your childrens hair yourselves. Save that money. Here in America, most people do things themselves because workmanship is very expensive even with the good economy and better salary. I have never gone to mechanic. I work on my cars myself. Though never had engine problem with them. I changed brake disc, pads, alternator, ignition coil, spark plugs and ac blower all by myself. The other two car I put for business. There are people in America who rent cars daily. Mechanics charge $100 one hour here.

I need to learn how to do mechanical stuff. Once I can get my hands on hydraulic jack and different sizes of wrenches, I will start diving in.

I am not a mechanical person so I will pass on that one. Plumbing is easy as well - flow of water or gas is similar to flow of electrical current. You just need the right tools and materials. E.g. splice and nut cap for electrical. Connectors and plumbers tape (Teflon) for plumbing.
