I was about to kill two birds with one stone in the month of October 2019 after attending two interviews in one week. One with a power company (Indian) and the other with a furniture company (indigenous).

After a rigorous five-stage process with the furniture company, I alone made it to the fifth stage out of 7 prospect and never thought I wouldn't get the job because I did all that was required of me.

About a week later I got an appointment letter through mail from the power company (Indian) offering me the job to work in Abuja with a basic salary of 60k and site allowance of 10k. Funny thing is the job is contract bound to last for only six months.
"How am I supposed to relocate to Abuja to start a new life knowing that I would earn only 420k in six months with no probation of extension". Only house rent sef don finish the money.

I humbly declined the offer expecting the furniture company (salary=200k) to call me because I fulfilled all righteousness

One week pass, two weeks pass no show. I called the HR "how far" he said his hands were tied. There's only little he can do because his ogas at the top had different opinions.

I moved on, no pain, no sh*t

Fast-forward to about two years later, I got a call from the furniture company to come for another interview. I greed and an interview was scheduled on my terms.
In my head "how am I supposed to go through those rigorous processes again without any assurance I will get the job offer and its not like they are calling me to come pick up an appointment letter". Heck no I can't. A day to the interview I called and told them I can't make it due to personal reasons.

It felt like retribution and I am glad I didn't make the move.

Prior to the two scenarios above, in the year 2018, I did an interview with an indigenous oil company with head office in Abuja. I never applied for the job. I only got a call from the HR that he got my CV via Jobberman. I travelled to Abuja, did the interview, passed and a congratulatory email was sent to me asking me to wait for MD's approval.

I was in Abuja for two months without any call. I decided to go to the office to make sure everything was still in order. I met a man who is presumably an HR officer. He brought out a list of seven people who were chosen to be appointed and my name was 5th on the list. He asked me to wait patiently that we would be called soon.

My people, I got ghosted till date no call, no mail, no sh*t.

I thank God for every interview I attended in the past. I learnt a great deal to better myself and learning new things in the process. Today I am running a personal enterprise and earning nothing less than 150k monthly. Not big though but enough to give me peace of mind and knowing fully I don't work for no one but myself.

I had followed your question from the start, expecting to see someone come up with answers so I could also learn.

I am not ordained to speak on such matters neither am I a very righteous person, but by the grace of God, I will try.

I'm not sure if there's anything special you need to do to attain a greater height in your spiritual yearnings other than the aforementioned prayers, fasting and studying more of the word.

One thing I had learn from understanding the word of God is to seek first for the spirit of understanding from God.

As Jesus made us to understand in the book of Luke 11:1-13, your heavenly father will give you whatever you ask of him. (Please do ensure you read this passage over and over again until you catch a glimpse of how PERSISTENCE can work for you)

The book of John 14:8-17 (with emphasis on verse 16) where Jesus promised to send a comforter, the Holy Spirit that will reveal the truth about God (Goodnews Bible).

Over the years, I have learnt to always ask of the spirit of truth even before I open a passage to read from the Bible. It has helped my knowledge of understanding about the things of the spirit. I enjoin you to do the same. Like my pastor always say before he preaches on the pulpit and I qoute - "Father, speak to us in the very language that we'll understand; teach us your word and make us the doers of your word"

Lastly may I add that there are times you pray and you just have to connect yourself with the realm of the spirit. One example is revealed in the book of Revelations 4:1-11 where the twenty four elders and the four living creatures sang songs of glory and honour to God.

If you can find yourself in that place when you worship and pray, be rest assured that most of your battles are already won in life.

Instead, we have lecturers teaching in about 2 or more universities in the name of cybertical or visiting lecturer.

At the end you'll find a lecturer attending class just thrice in a whole semester with a whole lot of bullcrap like 'A belongs to God and B belongs to me'

These are the kind of irregularities and corruption the gov't should look to tackle using the IPPIS thereby improving the 'half-baked graduates' to 'three-quater-baked' graduates by restricting gallivanting lecturers that are only concerned with multiple source of income than quality of education.

That would be discrimination, if anyone regardless of their religion, can afford to go to a private university, so be it, but they have their rules and regulations and you have to abide by it, this particular guy has been there since 2017, disobeying their rules, he has been warned severally and now that he has been suspended, it's now an issue? This is not the first time Adeleke University's image will be tarnished and they stood their ground, so this phase too, will pass.

I am with you on this. My take is that gov't has not done quite enough regarding religion. I think there should be some sort of laws guiding it... Like if you have to own an institution such as a faith-based university, you must limit the prospective students to such faith, otherwise, you must give freedom of religious practice to students of different faiths.

It should be simple and clear as that...

This is why we are in an era of the internet, you can't just go to a school doing your own personal investigation, google that school and you'd see it is clearly stated that it is a faith based school, a school that has only a chapel, what does that tell you?

It will be wise then, if they don't accept muslim prospects rather forcing their faith on them.

The school should have revealed that they're a strict faith based institution before admitting students. Their ads only showed that their aim was to build an affordable private university for the middle class. We assumed it was another ABUAD or Lead City uni with cheaper fees. No part did they say it was faith based only for them to start forcing their beliefs on students after collecting fees. A lot of students would have withdrawn if inter-university transfer was possible amongst private schools.

There are far too many religious nonsense going on in this country which the gov't doesn't seem ready to tackle... Why the heck would a school force its student to attend church services when they don't belong to its faith, or why the heck would a federal university in the north refuse to build chapel for christian student in the name of being an Islamic state

This is fraud regardless. Most schools give student handouts only when tuition has been paid. It will only be wise if they portray themselves as a church university for the general public to know.

It is always wise to look before you leap. If the school doesn't portray its self as a church university, that is where the fraud is. But if as a muslim you're aware of its church status and willingly accepts admission offer with intention to abide by its laws, then don't blame anybody for your misfortunes.
