Career / Re: Does Annual Leave Days Include Weekend? by smileNpass: 12:22pm On Jan 24 |
A leave is an approved absence from work. You work Monday to Friday, thus, your application is for Monday to Friday. You don't work on weekends. Therefore, you don't need approval to be absent. 6 Likes |

Agugbadin: Just giving us a good name. People will be interested to know more about our country. Just as Osimhen is doing. Go to Naples and say you are a Nigerian, you'll understand. Yekini did same in Portugal. Till today, there are places in Portugal that Yekini's name brings reception. In simple terms, she is trying to rewrite the writings of the yahoo boys. How will you feel one someone mentions " oh! you are Nigerian, the record holding country for cook-a-thon". 2 Likes |
Family / Re: My Mom Just Rejected My Girlfriend's Gifts by smileNpass: 9:18am On Dec 25, 2022 |
I understand you plight. Don't ever mention to her that your mum rejected the gift. What I think you should do is to keep the cloth for your mum somewhere for now while giving your sisters theirs. What ever you a sending to your mum subsequently should come from you both. I.e We bought this bag of rice for the family. We did this for you. Make it gradual. After a while take her to your mum. Things may change when they meet. |
Properties / Re: Your Annual Rent Shouldn't Exceed Your Two Months Salary. If It Does by smileNpass: 9:25am On Nov 19, 2022 |
I thought folks said it shouldn't exceed 3 months, what happened again? The truth is, we may need to consider qualitative factors. I stay in Lagos and my three month pay covers my rent of 1.1M (2 bed). The advantages are the neighbourhood, the calibre of people I am exposed to, the change in mindset, the relatively short time to work (1.5hrs), more time to relax and think better. My friends that stay afar because it is cheap are dying slowly. Having to set out as early as 5am. We only need to be wise. Live and let's live, no hard and fast rule. 8 Likes |

It is pathetic. These schools engage in this practice for the money damaging the future of their students. This should get to front page please. 3 Likes |
Family / Re: I Plan Seeing A Stage Play, Know Of Any? by smileNpass: 7:08am On Dec 26, 2020 |
illicit: Thank you. I understand the impending covid19 could also be posing a challenge but I feel with proper protocols, events like this can still hold. Maybe it is just that theatrics is basically on the downward slope in the country. 1 Like |
Family / I Plan Seeing A Stage Play, Know Of Any? by smileNpass: 2:32am On Dec 26, 2020 |
Hi everyone, I thought of going outside the conventional outing locations to plan seeing a play (staged) with my fianceè since the both of us love art, creativity and aesthetics. Furthermore, I also feel strongly that it is a way of encouraging our local theatre. I have been on the look but have not been able to come to the knowledge of one and would want to know if anyone is aware of any that will be taking place in Lagos in any of the weekends in January. Thank you in advance for your response.
