Atiku eventually sold Nitel to another company, possibly to himself and cronies for $900 million, but didn't bother to pay the sacked Nigerians and their pensions, the PDP governments after did not bother to pay them either, but luckily for the same Nigerians, PMB paid every kobo owed.

Selling Nitel was a deception, the main target was Nitel's real estate assets all over Nigeria from the Nitel building itself to office buildings, guest houses in Ikoyi, VI , 500 real estate component scattered all over the country with a value running into billions of naira including NITEL's buildings such as staff quarters, schools, clinics and so on.

Atiku destroyed and eliminated thousands of jobs while enriching himself, they did not bother to pay their pensions, but he's posing to gulling Nigerians with amnesia as a job creator when in fact he's crook and job destroyer.
