How Former Richest Man In Brazil Eike Batista Threw Over $180,000 Into The Sea To Appease ‘Yemoja’ Queen Of The Waters To Return To Past Glory This story is just funny and ridiculous at the same time. Infact, when I first heard about it I thought it was a hoax so I did my research. But the story appears to be true. One of Brazil's richest men Eike Batista recently Once the richest man in Brazil, Eike Batista, 59, is said to have resorted to this superstitious ritual in the hope of rebuilding his billion-dollar empire, by throwing money into the biggest wishing well he could find – the South Atlantic Ocean. The flamboyant businessman, who suffered one of the largest personal and financial collapses in corporate history, tossed over 700 thousand Brazilian reais ($183,000) in gold coins onto the waves off the coast of Rio de Janeiro's Ipanema beach last month after a Brazilian African religious leader advised he needed to appease a water-bound deity Yamanja(also know as Yemoja here), known as the queen of the seas, for his past 'ungrateful' actions. 'He came to me for help and I told him that everything he had taken from the sea has to be returned in some way and this could be done by a ritualistic gesture showing gratitude,' said Ubirajara Pinheiro, a medium and a priest of the Umbanda religion – a syncretic polytheistic belief that draws on African spiritual traditions mixed with elements of Roman Catholicism. 'Most of (Eike's) recent business explorations were connected to the ocean and you cannot remove ore from the earth without thanking and giving back,' warned Pinheiro, who has been a practicing mystic for over 30 years. 'It's only after we've been punished by God do we then see the wrong we have done,' he added. In 2013, Batista lost 99 percent of his estimated net wealth of £25 billion when his six company commodities empire, which included offshore gas and oil exploration, and gold and iron ore mining, went bust defaulting on the largest corporate debt in the history of a Latin American company. But Batista, who admits to being highly superstitious and using psychics in the past to guide his businesses, believes he will be able to roll back the tide of misfortune. Chartering a yacht, he took to sea to perform a ceremony that involved placing the gold coins in a small vessel with flowers, perfume, champagne and a statue of Yemanja. The little boat was then pushed out to sea in the presence of Pinheiro who led prayers, meditation and chanting. Asked if this is an expensive way to make amends, Pinheiro who is based in Rio said : 'It is not about the quantity it is a matter of faith. Many years ago when (Eike) visited my house I warned him what would happen.' Batista's gesture comes at a difficult time as Brazil plunges into its worst recession in over two decades. Unemployment is rising, consumer confidence has retracted and in the past year the Brazilian real has lost 24 percent of its value against the dollar. Undeterred by the bleak current economic situation of Brazil, Batista remains optimistic. In an interview with Brazilian network RedeTV! in June 2015, Batista revealed he is rebuilding his company and had 'zeroed his debts'. With his recent ceremonial offering Pinheiro is prophesying Batista's return to the top will be 'in only a matter of months.' The businessman, known for his lavish lifestyle, dropped from number 7 to number 100 on the Forbes Rich List. A Bag Worth More Than Gold: How The Iconic Hermès Birkin Bag Is Made And What Makes It Special(Photo Story) A couple of years ago, when I first learnt about the Birkin bag by French luxury brand Hermès, I saw a popular Nigerian actress carrying a black one and sent the photo to my friend who immediately told me it was a fake. How she knew? she owned one herself and could spot a fake from afar. She also told me then of how cumbersome it was to get one, even if you could afford it. Hermès is one of the most recognisable brands around the world and its bags are seen as huge investments. Simply getting your hands on a Hermès bag requires being placed on a waiting list for several years. However, for the elite and famous, Hermès makes an exception. Numerous celebrities have been spotted carrying The Birkin and Kelly(the two most popular bags from the brand) bags all over the world. Celebrities like the Kardashians, Jlo and of course the Birkin Queen herself Victoria Beckham have made the bags very popular, making it one of the most copied designer bags worldwide. By now I'm sure some of you can guess why I'm blogging about the bag which has suddenly become very popular on the Nigerian Blogosphere. For those who don't know, a recent debate about fake vs original Birkins inspired this article. For me I am not out to castigate anyone, even though I have very strong opinions about the debate. However that is not what this post is about. Instead, this post seeks to answer the million dollar questions: Why is the Birkin bag so special/expensive? Why is it one of the most coveted bags in the world? Why is there a waiting list even when you can afford one? I did a little research on it and using photos. I will take you through why the Birkin is so special. After reading, then you can judge if you think it's worth the price tag/hype or not. The Story Behind The Iconic Birkin BAG English actress and singer Jane Birkin once sat next to Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas on a flight from Paris to London in 1981. She was putting her straw bag in the overhead compartment when the contents fell on to the floor. She told Mr Dumas that she could not find a leather bag that she liked, so he had one personally made for her. The bag is now a symbol of uber wealth , with some types of Birkin selling for over $200,000. How The Worlds Most Coveted Handbag Is Made The 2011 documentary "Hearts and Crafts," directed by documentary filmmaker Frederic Laffont, depicts daily life inside a Hermès factory in France where bags, glass goods, drawings, and leather saddles for horseback riding are crafted. In a month, the Hermès staff can produce 15 hand-crafted bags of different styles and textures. The bags range from $10,000 to over $200,000 depending on the size and material used. Since, the company said it was hiring 500 people to keep up with demand. Because the Birkin takes long to produce, there was at one time a6 year wait list for the popular bag. So how, exactly, are Hermès' bags made? See some photos below: Please see photos here:http://mojidelano.com/2016/02/a-bag-worth-more-than-gold-how-the-iconic-hermes-birkin-bag-is-made-and-what-makes-it-specialphoto-story/ Price Tag New Birkins range in price from $12,000 to $223,000 and regularly sell on the secondary market for more than their original sales price. But some say these bags are more than just status symbols for the uber rich. The bags are repairable for life, and because of their quality, could likely be passed down as an heirloom. “There’s more that goes into that price than just paying for the Hermès name,” said Marissa N. Stempien, the fashion editor of JustLuxe.com. “The Birkin is an extraordinarily well made bag. Each one is handmade by trained craftsmen and can take over 18 hours to make, and that number can be doubled if working on exceptional pieces such as those accessorized with diamonds.” Bag Worth Investing In More Than Gold? Many have called buying a Birkin bag wasteful spending but this notion is very far from the truth. In fact, if you are looking to put all your investments in one Birkin, it will ultimately be more profitable than gold. A recent study by US luxury consignment site Bag Hunter found that year-on-year, the Birkin has increased in value by an average of 14.2% since its was first created in 1984. Looking back over a 35-year period, the report measured the value of the Birkin against gold and US stock market S&P 500. While the latter two saw negative annual returns, with gold dropping to -7.9% and investments dipping as low as -36.55%, the Birkin's lowest annual return was 2.1% in 1986. Basically, this means the bold Birkin has never had a bad year. Its real heyday was in 2001 when the bags increased in value by 25% but 2015 was the real record-breaking year when a pink crocodile-skin Hermes Birkin sold for $223,000 (£155,000, €204,000) at auction, the highest price for a single bag to date. How does one bag hold so much power in the market, though? Perhaps it is the waiting list that Hermes implemented, meaning someone could wait up to six years for an order. Bag Hunter has suggested this long wait has added to the increase in resale values of Birkin bags, with second-hand models often selling for more than their original price. After all, many would rather pay more than wait. World Record Breaking Bag(Photo on the Blog) Last June, a Birkin handbag sold at a Christie’s auction in Hong Kong for $223,000, breaking a world record for handbags sold at auction. That record-setting handbag is the pink crocodile-skin Hermès Birkin with gold and diamond hardware pictured above . Topping the lists of couture with the highest resale value, it’s always Birkin bags. The Queen Of Birkin While many celebs own a Hermès bag or two, very few of them can compete with Victoria Beckham’s Hermès collection. The ex Spice girl is described as the 'Birkin Queen' for owning the most elaborate Birkin collection in the world said to be worth over $2million. The British fashion designer is said to own over 100 bags by the brand ranging from exotic crocodile skins and luxurious ostrich. In fact her Ostrich leather Birkin pictured below in pink is one of her more expensive Hermès bags worth over $150,000. See the photos on the blog. Now you know why the Birkin bag is so special and coveted. Against this backdrop will you get one if you were super rich? Do you think its worth the hype? Let me know what you think, do leave your comments. http://mojidelano.com/2016/02/a-bag-worth-more-than-gold-how-the-iconic-hermes-birkin-bag-is-made-and-what-makes-it-specialphoto-story/ lalasticlala seun Obinoscopy mynd44 ijebabe airforce1 tosyne2much fynestboi

An MDB ireporter was present today when a fraudster was apprehended at the Local wing of the Muritala Mohammed Airport-MM2 today and sent in some photos. The fraudster whose name remains unknown came into the FCMB branch at the airport claiming that his ATM wasn't working hence the need to collect money over the counter using a cheque. He wanted to withdraw the sum of N8.5 million. As is the practice, the Customer Service Manager-CSM contacted the man's branch about the withdrawal and was told not to let the fraudster out of the bank as there was already an incident of fraud on the account the money was to be withdrawn from. The CSM then asked him to come upstairs to get the money, but the fraudster sensing danger took to his heels. Unfortunately for him, members of the airport taxi park and some mobile police men were around and alerted so they went after him and he was caught. It was also gathered that the man's name had been circulated before now for incidents of fraud. Is This The Best Nigerian Proposal Ever? Man Proposes To Girlfriend With Flashmob, Disguises Himself As Waiter Oyin Fomodun, a Nigerian based in Essex, UK recently proposed to his half Nigerian/half Caribbean girlfriend Yemisi in grande style, and the video of the proposal has left many romantics around the world teary eyed. The 34 Romeo surprised his girlfriend of three years in a crowded restaurant with an elaborate set up that she would never forget. The stunt – which was captured on video – involved him putting on a prosthetic nose, wig, a beard, layers of make-up and a pair of glasses to disguise himself as an aged waiter. He also filled the entire restaurant with actors for an all-singing, all-dancing flash mob. The video starts with Yemisi sitting with two friends in Gillray’s steak house, London, before Oyin disguised as a waiter deliberately ‘accidentally’ spills water onto their table and soaking her in the process. Of course Yemisi was agitated by the waiter(Oyin) who acted oblivious to his actions. She then…. All my life I have been a philanderer. It all started with my mother's house maids. They were usually very beautiful, full bodied and in their prime. I used to hide and stare at them and I swear I could catch my father, a well known pastor also catch a stare . Their full breast pointing towards the heavens and beckoning the young teanager just coming into puberty and pushed with all sort of wet dreams to come touch. This was trauma, this was not imaginable. You sleep and wake up with stained sheets after a lust filled sleep sequence where you are pursued by a hundred virgins. Just as you run into the toilet to clean up, you are assaulted by this scantily clad house maid sweeping just infront of you. Her short skirts barely covering her pubes as she goes through the motion of sweeping. As she continues you begin to feel the rise in your crotch. You grab it and try not to scream. She is pretending to be oblivious of your discomfort, breast swinging from side to side exposed without the protective cover of the bra and you just know that you are dead meat and from that moment you start plotting your moves. You were going to kill this meat. You will take your time and plot an effective strategy that will surely give you release from this very painful urge that has continued to bedevil your every move. So you lay in bed, with the most painful erection imaginable and wait for your moment. Your planning had to be precise and pinpoint. You dont care if the maid was interested in you or not. She really had no choice she was just the maid and it was a privilege for her to be the container of your royal juices. The only problem was mum. Kai, she was strict and a disciplinarian. She must not even know that you harbored such satanic thoughts otherwise you would be castrated. She had once shown you your grave when she caught you watching two people hug on TV. If she was prepared to kill her own child for simply watching people on TV hug, then you can imagine the kind of painful death that awaits you if she ever caught you in this evil act. But the pleasure from the expected coup was much more appealing than the prospect of painful castration carried out by your own mother. So you keep plotting and Ekaette did not help matters. It appears that her nipples were growing out each morning, calling you softly in the name only your mum calls you- Ini. It said, Ini ever so softly, please come to me, come to me, risk your life and come to me, is it not better you died instead of impaling yourself on the pole of masturbtory emptiness. As I watched Ekaette I knew it was better to die rather than continue living as a slave. She was divine, skin like olive oil, straight legs with a complexion like well made Milo. A body that has not yet been touched by any man alive. Breasts like the hills of Obudu and buttocks that reminded me of the sexy bumps that line the very beautiful regions of the land of my birth in Uyo. She was angelic, poor and dirty in an attractive way. She was my desire, my dream, my only ambition in life. This was my touch and die dream. I carefully watched her every move, peeped at her in the bathroom. I had put a hole on the door and each time she went in, which was not too often, I will move into my observatory post, hands on my ...... And eyes stuck firmly in the hole I watched as she gently rubbed down. I began wishing I was born as a sponge. I envied the stupid thing and would have gladly exchanged my miserable life with that of the very lucky sponge. The sponge went everywhere I needed to go, the sponge touched those wonderful breasts, went in between the sweet cleavage and went in between her thighs, touching, feeling and caressing while I remained stuck with a bulging erection that sent searing pain through my body straight into my dying brain. After months of masturbating to her sweet illusory images. Watching not only her every move but also my mum, the time had come for action. This was my own Major Nzeogwu's night of the long knives. Today I was going to end the first republic of masturbation and instill a new Government of physical penetration. Abolishing the regions and assuming total control of that heavenly body that Ekaette carried around shomolu daring and haunting all men from fathers through sons down to house boys. This coup was for all men who drooled after Ekaette and could do nothing about it. I was going to shoot to kill and like the brave soldier that I was, I was ready to die for this cause. My suicide note was ready under my pillow. I had given all my earthly possession which at that point was my fathers spare tyre which was my favourite toy to my brother Ernest and also asked that the six strokes of the cane I was owing my mum for selling her plastic elegenza coolers to the neighborhood Mallam for an opportunity to touch his girlfriend breasts just once be also given to the same Ernest for being such a loyal brother. I proceeded with my plan. I was to strike after the 9 0clock news. This was the moment my parents where in their most immobile, they would have killed themselves with the biggest bowl of FuFu and delicious Afang soup. This was their habit and after the heavy meal they will drown it all with the biggest bottle of Coca Cola they could find after which they will just fall asleep in each other's arms snoring with so much violence that one could be forgiven if you thought that Shomolu had been hit by a massive earthquake. I was ready, as the news was coming to an end, I started my move. Stripped off my pajamas, wore only a Tshirt leaving me naked below. I had to be ready and not slowed down by any stupid pajamas. As the zero hour approached, I knelt down one last time and sent a small prayer to my guardian angel, praying for success and protection on this mission. As the snoring began, I began my creeping, my dick growing in size each step taking me towards my Ekaette, as I crawled past the living room I did not bother to check my parents, I heard the sound of heavy snore and continued my crawling. On all fours I moved, very quietly but steadfastly, as I moved I imagined her soft nipples between my lips and I let out a sigh of pleasure, even as spittle drooled from my expectant mouth. This is the D.Day, my own apocalypse, Ekaette would finally be mine. By the time, I had past the living room, I was on my belly crawling like a snake and moving sideways in a bid not to hit any furniture and wake the whole house. This was a very akward move as my erect member was scraping on the rug and causing discomfort, I did not mind. I kept moving and the image of Ekaeetes opened legs taking me in inspiring me to work harder. I got to her door, near the toilet, I pushed the door open slightly and in the darkness I could swear I could hear her say come to me. I waited just a little bit to pull off my Tshirt so as not to waste time giving her access to my whole body. I was stark naked in her room on the floor with my belly firmly scraping the concrete floorings, my erection hard as steel. Yes, today is the day. Yes my friends in school would be so proud of me, they were waiting for the news the following day and infact my rating had gone so high amongst them just by my mere attempt, you can now imagine what I would be when I pour my seed into Ekaette making me stake up my flag on her mountain top. I touched my d..k one last time making sure it was ready and would not disappoint me, licking my lips and while still on the floor but ready to crawl up to the bed to touch my darling when all of a sudden the lights came up and yeaaaaaaaaaah , it was my mum on Ekaettes bed o. Ahhhhhh my Mamaaaa in all her fat glory with the longest cane I have ever seen in my life. My erection deserted me o. The coward, it ran away and left me to my wahala alone. My D.....k shrunk into my belly and looked like a small babies thumb and I actually saw my soul slowly leaving my carcass. I remained on the floor, stark naked, looking for tears to cry but none came. I could not beg, the humiliation was something else. My Dad came in and seeing me in my state could only laugh. I didn't even have enough pubic hair to cover my shame and this time instead of praying to be a sponge I actually was looking for something to strangle myself with instead of dying at the hands of the woman that gave birth to me. Ekaette was asked to mete out the punishment. To flog me with the whip my mum had bought for me. She was to give me twenty strokes of the cane on my bare buttocks while asking me to repeat that I will never have lustful thoughts about her or any woman for that matter ever again. My humiliation was complete as the symbol of my lust now turned into my tormentor. She unleashed the strokes with the venom of a Python. She beat the living day lights out of my skin and I screamed for help. I called Prophet Elijah to burn this witch with fire, I called on John the Baptist to descend and circumcise her so she can bleed to death but all these prophets failed me as she continued to decimate my bare buttocks with lashes of anger. As she hit me, I prayed for death as my younger brothers woke up and where watching with pity as their Hero was loosing his throne to a mere house maid. I cried o my people, I cried and swore to be gay if I ever came out of this alive. No p...y was worth this kind of pain. But wait by the twelfth stroke, I noticed the swaying of her breast. As she lifted her hands that wonderful contraption went up and as she slammed into me, I sighted the nipples. The pain stopped immediately and I told them by the fifteenth stroke, that she had only given me nine. I wanted more, I needed to see those nipples again as they told me sorry in my pain. They beckoned at me and told me not to worry that there were thousands of nipples in my future begging to be touched, nibbled, chewed and sucked and so I smiled as I continued to receive her strokes. At the end, I was left in a pool of blood on the floor in her room. Left to die like the neighborhood thief but as they walked away they failed to see the smile on my face. A smile of satisfaction that heralded the bitter sweetness of my misadventure. I failed but was assured that if I worked harder and planned better I would score. It is an illegal relationship. Screwing someone's wife, this should not happen but here goes. The chemistry is strong, the naked lust glaring and menacing as it takes control of the two lost souls. They meet at a party and immediately the sparks fly. As he gets introduced to her by her clueless husband, she looks deep into his eyes and he remains transfixed at her mercurial looks, looks only him in his mesmerized daze can decipher. The handshake lasts a tad longer and sweat begins to preen down his whole being. He quickly walks away, grabs his wife's waist struggling to get the lust out of his deranged mind. As she turns away with her husband, she can't help but feel that familiar tingle between her smooth laps and the gentle shaking she feels in her legs. She grabs her hubby's hands and prays to God for strength but something deep inside her realizes that this is an excercise in futility. That night, he pounds heavily into his grateful wife, hoping the powerful drills will take away the illegal and satanic lust for another man's wife. His wife delirious with pleasure receives the heavy pounding with strong delight. What has come over her usually lethargic husband. He stands erect like a bull, sweat cascading down his sinewy chest and his strong arms holding tight to her delicious waist, he takes her from the back, breast dangling like the lemons of Lebanon. As he pounds, his mind is with her, the seductress who belongs to his best friend. He closes his eyes and sees himself pounding into her, he wants her badly and her vision fuels his strength as he takes his wife on a journey fueled with multiple orgasms. His wife, happy afterwards, holds him tight, whispering into his ears, I love you darling and thank you so much, darling my p.... Is twitching, thank you so much. If only she knew. His wife. Thighs wide open in preparation to take her husband, oiled with the vision of his best friend. She is dripping, his mere touch a fountain of bliss. She smiles as he descends into her abyss of pleasure, he smiles, his wife is so aroused, he is sure it is his perfume and the wonderful dinner they just had with his friend that has given her this level of arousal and he is happy. if only he knew, he enters her and for the first time she moans, she lets out a soft sigh of pleasure as she looks into his eyes. But what does she see there, she sees his friend she laughs, a wicked laughter encouraging him to continue. She is spiritually making love to his friend while receiving the gentle physical emission of her hapless hubby. It's calm now. Both couples are at rest as they go into sleep with smiles on their four faces. But he stares at his phone, what would she be doing now, is she thinking of him, is she f....g her husband. He is in pain, he wants her and he can't seem to fight this urge, this harbinger of inevitable death he needs to pray. What is he doing she asks herself. Is he pounding that his bow legged wife. Isn't she lucky, life is unfair. As she looks at her husbands limp member she sighs and bemoans her fate in life. She leaves the room takes her phone and goes to her what's app, fingers shaking, sweaty but determined, she ruins her life with those two lettered words, 'hi'. They meet at the run down motel far from the eyes of the world. Goose pimples all over his skin and shaking with fear, they both hold each other. Tears freely flowing and wishing life was different. She was beautiful, angelic and he was handsome. They kissed very gently and passionately and looked into each other's eyes with relief, excitement and fear all rolled into one. They touch each other, her nipples in his mouth and her thighs partying ever so gently, slowly but surely revealing her core. As her soft mound begin to emerge to the warm light of the cool evening, her phone rings shattering all pretenses. It is her husband, this is the very last attempt to bring her to reality. She pushes him off and takes the call. She was at a meeting and cannot talk long, can he help with the kids homework and she would soon be home in an hour max. This was the sign, she had to stop this madness, she didn't need to do this, this was wrong, she was wearing her clothes and getting out of here. Her husband just called, shit. My best friend. I just had her nipples in my mouth. This was wrong. I need to jump out and just run and never stop until I get into the warm embrace of my wife. As she turns she sees his strong black back as it tappers down into his firm waist. In the soft light of the room, she sees the tip of his member protrude between his legs and immediately the devil holds her again. As he turns he sees her wonderfully made breast standing in all its glory, he sees her mound, fully prepared for him and then he sees her eyes, tears of a lost life on display and at that moment he knew his death had come calling. They walked towards each other, stretching and grabbing and tumbling. He finds himself deep inside her in seconds both crying, both screaming, both in the rapture of the moment, both singing and both finally gasping for breath after minutes of sweet death inducing pleasure. She got home, rushed to the shower. He got home rushed for a drink. Looked at his wife with pity and smiled for he knew he wanted more. She feigned a headache and needed to sleep early. Weeks later, it happens. Where is this damn period, she can't seem to find it. Republican Presidential Front-runner and American Billionaire, Donald Trump has threatened to evacuate Nigerians from America if he becomes President of the United State of America (USA). Trump issued the threat on Sunday 17th January, 2016 during a rally held at Wichita, Kansas, claiming that: “Nigerians and Mexicans have taken all the jobs meant for honest hard working Americans.” The Presidential Candidate, who tagged Nigeria as a corrupt Nation, noted this as the major reason many Nigerians leave for America. “We need to get the Africans out. Not the blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians. They’re everywhere. I went for a rally in Alaska and met just one African in the entire state. Where was he from? Nigeria! He’s in Alaska taking our jobs. They’re in Houston taking our jobs. “Why can’t they stay in their own country? Why? I’ll tell you why. Because they are corrupt. Their Governments are so corrupt. They rob the people blind and bring it all here to spend. And their people run away and come down here and take our jobs! “We can’t have that! If I become president, we’ll send them all home. We’ll build a wall at the Atlantic Shore. Then maybe we’ll re-colonised Africans because obviously they did not learn a damn thing from the British!” Trump said. His speech was met with a raucous applause by 10,000 strong, predominantly caucasian audience. As at press time, the Federal Government is yet to respond to Trump’s speech. How a racist can have growing ratings in today’s America is nothing short of surprising to me. It just goes to show that racism and discrimination, no matter how free a country America is will around for a long time, especially of Trump becomes President. http://mojidelano.com/2016/01/nigerians-and-mexicans-have-taken-all-jobs-meant-for-honest-hard-working-americans-donald-thrump-rants-as-he-vows-to-evict-nigerians-from-us-if-elected-president/ MissyB3 Ijebabe lalasticlala ishilove seun Obinoscopy mynd44 ijebabe airforce1 tosyne2much fynestboi |
Look what is leadership when your boys are being picked up daily on such a huge matter and you remain silent. This to me is not leadership at all o, this is close to small cowardice. Let me tell a small story. In my secondary school, Command Secondary School Ipaja, we used to go and 'steal' the chickens reserved for teachers. Now this was a military school but we were daily fed with measly and tasteless food, so we decided to be raiding the chicken meant for the teaching staff and commandant. This particular day, I had given my troops a verbal instruction to launch the usual raid and move all the frozen chicken to the rendezvous - a village just outside the school compound surrounded by thick forest. As the leader, I had gone ahead to negotiate with the hungry villagers. The agreement was that their women will help us in the cooking and we shared the chickens into two equal parts. One part for the people who helped in cooking and the other parts for we the 'thieves'. But nemesis was waiting for us because the commandant had gotten intelligence report that cartons of his beloved frozen chicken were headed towards the Sambisa Forest by a team of thugs led by the ever invincible Joseph Edgar. So he immediately mobilized his troops to set a booby trap and catch us all in action. What he did not bargain for was my survival instincts. As I was eating, I started smelling their approach. My instincts warned me of danger and I made my move and escaped with my band. We dispersed into different locations and when the hapless troops personally led by the Commandant who was on a rescue mission of his beloved chickens appeared he met only the bones and half eaten Chicken heads we left for them. In anger and frustration, they arrested the villagers and made them confess. From the confessions of the villagers, they started picking dark, light, skinny and fat young boys. Anybody who fit these descriptions where arrested and taken to the 'whitehouse' for severe punishment. Me, the leader had surfaced at the school clinic with complaints of fever and got myself admitted thereby providing for myself a strong Alibi should the investigation ever got to me. My boys like Dasuki refused to talk but embarked on hunger strike in a bid to escape. But as the days progressed more and more of my boys were picked up and I had to stand up and confess asking the school to release the small boys that I was the one they were after. They gladly arrested me and left my boys. I confessed to taking only two chickens in my whole four years in the school and that I never ate the head of the chickens and that I went into this career because of my hatred of the cold Amala and tasteless beans they served us daily. I pleaded for my release offering my services to them which was to work with them to curb the activities of chicken stealers in the school. So my dear daddy, this story is for you. Even though the EFCC has come out to say they cannot tie anything to you just yet, I feel that as a serious leader, you should come out and say something for there is no way in this world that Dasuki could have done all these without some kind of authority or instructions. You cannot sit and watch people who worked for your reelection suffer like these while you keep mute. Please come out and take responsibility, take a stand like a man. Thank you Sir. http://josephedgarng..com.ng/2016/01/missing-budget-and-other-matters-arising.html MissyB3 Ijebabe lalasticlala ishilove seun Obinoscopy mynd44 ijebabe airforce1 tosyne2much fynestboi |
Press Release From The producers Of The 93 Days Movie((Response To Dr Ama Adadevoh's Claims) We hereby categorically and strongly deny all the allegations contained in the recent press statement released by one Dr Ama Adadevoh, who claims to be acting on behalf of the Cardoso and Adadevoh families. The said allegations are not only untrue they are malicious and scurrilous and a calculated attempt to sabotage our feature film, “93 Days”. 93 Days is not the biopic of any one individual and has never claimed to be the story of Doctor Stella Adadevoh. Whilst that in itself is a strong story, we found it more compelling to tell a story that celebrates many of the heroes of the fight against Ebola. These include the doctors, nurses and staff of First Consultant’s Hospital, the employees of the Lagos and Federal Ministries of Health, corporate and individual Nigerians who rose to the challenge of fighting the scourge as well as the WHO team that came in to help at the risk of personal injury and even death. For us, this presented a more universal story of human courage, dedication and sacrifice that may inspire our great country and its people. Ours is a pride story that shows Nigeria at one of its finest hours and casts our country in a positive light around the world. To ensure the universal appeal of the film we enlisted, at great cost, Nigerian and International actors to feature in the film. Amongst these were Danny Glover, Keppy Ekpeyong and Bimbo Akintola. We want to state plainly that we do not require anyone’s consent to make the film as we have a constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of speech and expression. Besides, the matters portrayed in the film were derived from facts that are well within the public domain and those facts which were not already publicly known were provided to us by those privy to the said facts. For instance, we obtained additional information from interviews with the survivors of those who lost loved ones, volunteer doctors and nurses as well as officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Health. To honor those protagonists of the Ebola story it was essential for us that the film be, as much as possible, an accurate, genuine and sincere record of the facts relating to the country’s efforts to fight the disease. In fact, that was the only way of doing justice to those brave individuals (and foreigners) who had given so much in the service of the country. To this end and contrary to the allegations contained in the press statement released by Dr Ama Adadevoh, we enlisted the help of the Adadevoh and Cardoso families from day one. They gave their comments on the script and their amendments were incorporated into the final script. Further, the late Stella Adadevoh’s son, Bankole Cardoso, consented to the making of the film and to being portrayed in the film. Not only did he consent, he was kind enough to provide us with information concerning his late mother’s actions during those trying times. The facts provided by him proved useful in the development of the script and we have his interview on film should anyone require further proof. In essence, the story of Dr Stella Adadevoh depicted in the film was obtained partly from facts provided to us by the Adadevoh and Cardoso families and more importantly by her son, Bankole Cardoso. We are aware that Dr Ama Adadevoh and certain elements within the family are involved in another film project on the Ebola story and are attempting to derail our film in the misguided belief that to do so would ensure the success of their film. It is plainly wrong for these people to try and monopolize the Ebola story exclusively for themselves by trying to prevent the making and release of a film that so many of the people concerned have supported and contributed to. Our film features many of the people who were in the vanguard of the fight against the terrible disease. Many of these people lost loved ones and made other sacrifices still unknown to a majority of Nigerians. They have supported the film and want their story told and it is only fair that their stories are told. In light of this, we fully intend to tell their story! In doing so we refuse to be bullied or cowed by empty, petty and ridiculous threats based on false and trumped up allegations. lalasticlala Seun Dominique

So this morning I got the text message below. The message seemed very irregular to me and Immediately suspected foul play but still I called the number out of curiosity. It was busy for a while but after some time a man picked up the phone saying “Goodmorning Madam, you’re on to customer care service.” I then ask “What customer service?” The guy at the other end of the line says “BVN customer service.” I then told him I got a text this morning saying my atm had being deactivated and asked why? He answers by apologising an asking how many banks I use, I said GTB. He asks “just GTB?” I lied and insisted just GTB. He then said “Can you please give me the expiry date on your card and the numbers on it?” Fo me this was all the confirmation I needed, because I know if there was any deactivation going on, banks will have immediately alerted customers not through a shady text message from’BVN’. I then ask: “I don’t understand, what kind of customer care service exactly is this?” the guy then hissed loudly and cuts the phone. He has since refused to pick the 070151655787 number. Guys if you get this text, please do not fall for it o, call your bank customer care or go to the nearest branch of your bank to make enquiries. This may be the latest way by fraudsters(thats if it hasn’t been going on for a while ) to defraud people of their hard earned money and sadly, many people may fall for it. Please spread the word, don’t let your loved ones fall victim. http://mojidelano.com/2016/01/beware-of-fraud-please-dont-fall-for-this-bvn-fraud/ lalasticlala dominique seun

As an 'old man', I really don't follow the Headies or popular music so people like Olamide, Lil Kesh and Reekado whatever are just names I hear from my kids or whenever I visit Blogs. But the high level of indiscipline showed by this Olamide young man cannot go without my comment. First let me say that the Nigerian music industry has come of age and I personally believe that if it continues at this pace would sufficiently replace Oil as our major revenue earner. I congratulate all its points men, the talents and the money men including sponsors who have walked tirelessly to get the industry to this stage. But with what I have read and seen on TV about what happened at the Headies leaves me with so much pain. That someone who you think does not deserve the trophy won does not give you the effrontery to pull a 'kanye'. By the way what is a 'kanye'? You now did not stop at that you went into a tirade on Twitter throwing carelessly and stupidly all sort of vulgar virtupurations on all your perceived enemies and ended up with the alleged destruction of the green room. You see this kind of behavior is very toutish to say the least and does not tell well of this Olamide fellow. There are more gentlemanly ways of registering your protests that would be more damaging to the organizers. A letter to sponsors would have held them in the jugular. I hear Olamide is 'big' whatever that means, then he should have relied on his weight to 'kill' the Headies. A letter to sponsors stating your disgust and informing them that you are launching a media campaign against their brand for supporting injustice would have gone a long way in redressing whatever injustice you have seen. But no, you had to fall back to the 'agbero' tactics of smashing everything insight and in bad English abuse and curse everybody and everything insight. By blaming Don Jazzy for mentioning your name only shows the height of your cowardice. You went on your tirade without mentioning names, what is that? But Don Jazzy knowing like millions of Nigerians who and what you were referring to took you by your scrawny neck and handled the situation and yes if the car was your problem come and get it. As an Investment Banker with a bias for the creative industry, I have seen your type flash for three years max and go back into the poverty and darkness you came from. So buying your protege a 2015 Range Rover from proceeds of one single or endorsement without putting down a sustainable plan for securing that artiste future only amounts to fishing in the Sahara Desert. That Don Jazzy has not allegedly bought a car for his kids does not mean that he is not putting in structures in place to secure their future. I have just designed the Creative Industry Fund which aims at working with Industry People to invest some of these their monies wisely so that when the so called Hits stop coming they can continue to live their lifestyles without having to rush to the public to beg for money to treat Malaria after driving their 2015 Range Rover when the going was good. I have reached out to a lot of industry honchos and the kind of feedback I have gotten from serious labels have been encouraging. But frivolous labels who prefer the flash of the moment, doing the Kanye and driving 2015 Range have simply just rebuffed the idea leaving themselves exposed to the vagaries of planlessness. What this episode shows is that there is a high level of illiteracy and non education in the industry and I am concerned. The music industry is great and it's growing defying all negative economic indices that we are facing in Nigeria today and if people like Olamide who are expected to be the leading lights can have this kind of warped sense of thinking then the industry will be short circuited. Let me at this juncture say a word to the organizers of the Headies. I have never met with the main man but I have had an opportunity to speak with him on the phone and he came across like someone who knew what he was on about. But the truth is that the kinds of controversy this award show generates annually leaves one with a massive doubt as to his integrity and capacity. If he had lived above board this would not have happened at best it would have been muted. The Silverbird group have been organizing beauty pageants for years specially in a field where there is a lot of subjectivity but we hardly hear of this kinds of allegation. How difficult is it to organize a music award with the public voting? Why do we have to be faced with so much cry of injustice every year? There is no smoke without fire, are these people selling these awards? is it true that Don Jazzy was called to leave the Ali Baba show to come since his person would soon be announced winner? If this is true, then shame to the organizers. My grouse will definitely go to the sponsors who also do not limit themselves to a high level of integrity when choosing projects to sponsor. You see wishy washy events getting a high level of sponsorships when serious projects cry. I have personally been involved in a theatre production where we begged a beverage company for sponsorship and were dribbled and humiliated and eventually turned down claiming no funds only for them to now go and sponsor a run down comedy show. What I found out was that they took back half of the amount sponsored as kickback, got half the tickets as complimentary and the Promoter now did not have enough money to put up the kind of show he needed to put on. So you see where the Headies is having these problems. I suspect the whole thing from its organisation to the sponsorship all reeks of corruption hence the annual fight all culminating in Olamide doing 'the Kanye.' To Don Jazzy I am on your side expect you have been implicated in paying for this award, your continued dignified silence is golden. Do not come down to the mud pit that is Olamide and his cohorts and yes if you have been attacked or feel disrespected whether your name is mentioned or not you owe it to yourself and family to defend your honour. If you want to fight, fight. No need of fighting kurukere fight by making strong allegations without mentioning names , that is cowardice. Finally, the greatest losers in all these is Headies and their sponsors for spoiling and ruining an otherwise wonderful festive period with this tragedy of a show. Shame. Nigerians, just like when Bill Clinton told the Americans during one of his election campaigns that it was the economy, I am also now telling Nigerians that it is a class war period. Our sufferings and frustrations are not because we belong to any section of the country or because we are Igbos as the hapless Nnamdi Kanu and his ilk would have us believe it is simply because we remain the grass under the feet of a collection of elephants in a continous struggle for power both political and economic. Our low level of education and enlightenment continue to put us in positions of servitude to be used and misused by the elites whose membership cut across ethnic lines and are kept together by their collective greed. The Marxists pushed this position in the 70s and we refused to see it. I have been mulling these thoughts and have decided to expand on it as I now have incontrovertible evidence that our oppressors do not take their decisions based on the integrity or otherwise of the people they claim to represent but are driven by the urge for the primitive and continuos accumulation of power and wealth. My people, I watched this documentary on Nigeria and it was very clear that the civil war, several coups and economic bastardization that we have faced since we gained independence have been direct consequences of this struggle. Let me illustrate, I have always wondered why Fela the Late genius hated with a passion the Military especially Obasanjo and Yar'dua. The link is very clear, his mother was part of the independence push in the 50s. She attended most of the talks both in UK and in Nigeria. She fought gallantly and even dethroned a sitting Oba in the wake of her powerful incursions into politics. But immediately we gained independence she went into obscurity, cheated out of the fruits of her struggle culminating in her final humiliation by the OBJ junta. This was Felas grouse, how can his mother be so treated by these 'vagabonds' after all she had done for this country. So what did he do, he fell back on the masses, taking advantage of their illiteracy and a need for release as a result of their massive poverty and suffering to rail against another section of the elitist club with which he was a major member by reason of his bourgeois birth. He wore the pants, smoked the weed all in his bid to show that he belonged to the masses. He succeeded to an extent but in death, his people came for him and took him away from the masses. They rewarded his family with political appointments, immortalization of his family name and all sort. Even today the Lagos state Government has given up although on lease as I hear a major part of our national historical monument - the Lagos Prison for his family to manage and maintain through his eldest daughter who is in a relationship with a talented Architect. People, please open your eyes to the games of our masters. Another illustration is that of MKO Abiola, the purported winner of the June 12 Elections. He always regaled us with stories of his poverty, his poor upbringing and all. He did all these to curry the support of the masses in his fight against his colleagues as he struggled for power. He was not poor even in his youth, he was educated by Felas father in a school meant for elites and their children. Obasanjo attended the same school, (hope you are seeing the link) sent abroad to study and came back to join the Lagos University Teaching hospital from where he moved to some multi national and still as a very young man bought his first company. As a bonafide member of the elitist club, his colleagues in the military gave him all sorts of contracts making him one of the richest Nigerians of all time. During this time, he made very shallow contributions to the welfare of the masses. Making gratitious donations which were in no way compared to the massive wealth he had amassed through his prostituting with the military membership of the elitist club. All these was to hoodwink us and make us believe that he was a trusted ally. But all his charade was blown open when he was bluntly told by his colleagues that the Presidency was not 'for sale'. However in his stubbornness he continued, relying on the bridge he had built between himself and the people to deliver the Presidency. This failed him for he underestimated the power of his cabal of wolves, his ambitions were frustrated by the military junta and he jumped to the masses for help like they always do, but we had been thoroughly weakened by his activities and that of his cohorts in the elitist movement and he invariably lost his life. The linkages are very strong. The same people and their children have been ruling us both politically and economically. They only jump at ethnic and tribal colorations when they loose out in their intra class struggle. Falling back on the poor people to fight for them, claiming to have been cheated because they belong to a certain tribe but conveniently forgetting to state clearly that they were just poor strategist in a club the majority of us will never belong. Let's look at Ojukwu the leader of the Biafran Secessionist movement. His father was at the time the richest Nigerian. Ojukwu lived a life of privilege and attended the best schools. His education gave him a little advantage over the other members who were firmly divided into three class subdivisions within the elitist movement- the political, economic and military. Ojukwu played in all the spheres and did not understand why he should be subjugated to Gowon who played in only one space and was not as educated. The progrom in the North and the continued massacre of the igbos gave him the firm vehicle and platform to carry out what to me and some scholars was a purely egoistic Crusade which led to the killing of over 2m Nigerians. After the war, what did we hear, 'no victor no vanquished', Ojukwu had run away with his famous Mercedes Benz to live a life of luxury in exile. This kind of camaraderie was a slap on the face of all those who had lost their lives, suffered untold suffering and saw their destinies thwarted but what would you expect after a fight between 'two brothers'? The competition between the elites led to massive recruitments on all sides. The North carried out their Northernization policy, using the famed Barewa College as a bastion for recruitment into the civil service and the military school in Zaria for recruitment into the military. The west embarked on theirs too sending their scions out to the UK on scholarships mostly to study Law. That is why you hear of people like Fani Kayode being a third generation Cambridge educated lawyer. The Easterners also had theirs with what was then called the Argonauts, this was the Azikiwe led young Igbo Turks who were mostly educated and trained in the U.S steeped in the radicalism of the civil rights movements. Today you will see their children and descendants still holding forte. People like Bola Tinubu, El Rufai, Buba Marwa, Dasuki, Femi Otedola, Aliko Dangote, Keem Bello Osagie, Udo Udoma are all direct descendants and beneficiaries of the bastion of elitist control. How do these elitists perpetuate themselves in power? Its Simple. Education and in some cases marriage. They have identified very early the importance of education hence the continuos push for their children and chosen ones to get the very best in education and tutelage. They go to the very best schools in the world and get the kind of exposure that common people's children will never get. In the olden days it was through scholarships opened to party members children and wards, today its making sure recruitment into choice jobs was strictly based on the level and quality of education preferably overseas degrees. Tell me how will a Shomolu man's son no matter how brilliant compete? They have also perfected the art of intra class marriage. They marry themselves ensuring continuity and spreading of bloodlines although firmly within the elitist circle. Any attempt to marry out of this class is rebuffed and frustrated until the usurper packs his bags and runs away. Clear illustration, look at the Management of Forte Oil and the pedigree of its Chairman you will see what we are saying. From the Group Managing Director to the Chief Financial Officer are children with strong pedigree that can be traced back two generations. They also parade very strong educational qualifications and tremendous exposure. So how will someone who went to Makoko Comprehensive and graduated from our ASUU strike bedeviled institutions compete favorably with these people. So you see, it's a class war my people. Otedola himself comes from a strong pedigree that could be traced to the Awoist free education and scholarship platforms of the old western region. His father being one of the wealthiest people in the land emerged as the first 'sleeping' Governor of Lagos State and eventually today Femi is one of the wealthiest black men in the world. He is also perpetuating the elitist lineage by sending his own kids to the very best schools in the world, recruiting only the very best that his money can afford from a very shallow pool of labour and effectively limiting the rest of us no matter where we come from Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo or Ibibio to the servitude that remains our fate. Now that it's rosy, we are not hearing that he is enjoying all of these because he is a Yoruba man o. By the time, he experiences a small hiccup, maybe a little intra class struggle he would fall back on his people and scream for war that these Hausa people want to take his firm because he is Yoruba. This is where Nnamdi Kanu is getting it all wrong. The igbos are not suffering because they are Igbos, they are suffering because of their position in the societal hierarchy which decides who stays where no matter where you come from. Why do you think the South Eastern Governors will never support his position? it's because it may cause an imbalance of power and a restriction to resources. The Igbo elites will always look at Nnamdi Kanu as an orphan and treat him as such. People, we are all suffering. Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbira, Ijaw. A poor man is a poor man. The same sickness in Onitsha is the same sickness in Kano. Have you seen the poverty in the North? Have you been to Makoko in Lagos? Have you been to the slums of Aba? We are fighting like fools because we do not know who the enemy is. Biafra will not put food on the tables of the poor disenfranchised Igbo man, Biafra will not give him infrastructure, send his children to school or even give him a voice. The issue can never be Biafra, the issue is elitist suppression and full control of the levers of the economy emasculating the masses throughout Nigeria. If you doubt me, let us allow Biafra go and you will immediately see the permutation replay itself with the rebirth of these same elitist people creating a new hierarchy and entrenching the same issues that led to the creation of Biafra. Another Ilustration, IBBs rash of new states did not solve the issues but indeed created a new set of minorities still suffering from lack. I was a minority in the old Cross River State and still remain. Minority in the new Akwa Ibom State with my grandfathers house still not joined to the National grid. So what are we talking about. The solution is education. We must break the walls of illiteracy by liberalizing education. Let's enlighten everybody so that we all can at least see issues in its true form instead of its present coloration along ethnic and tribal lines. It is a class war and the sooner we realize this the closer we will get to the Uluru. http://josephedgarng..com.ng/2015/12/itss-class-war-stupid.html |
Yours truly was minding her business today o, when a certain MDB reader and friend gisted me about what he saw last night at Ikeja City Mall(Shoprite). According to the MDB reader, a certain Governor, the loudest and most radical of them all arrived with his security detail, by the cab park outside the mall in a G-Wagon. The said Governor known for his showmanship did not disappoint. He is said to have parked in the middle of the road, jumped down from the passenger sit in front before his Lady lover came down from the back sit. In the full glare of onlookers and passerby, the married Governor is said to have held this plus size lady in a warm embrace and kissed her before getting her a cab. He is said to have then gifted money to members of the cab park and people around before driving off. Further enquiry by MDB revealed that the South West Governor from time to time drops off his women at that cab park, and has never cared about the prying eyes of the Press. He probably doesn’t care…lol. Anyways, that is why I’m here. The next time he is spotted dropping off one of his ‘friends’, MDB will certainly get a picture….except of course he reads this in good time, hehehe. This is not gossip o. This is CONFIRMED. I only didn’t mention his name because my source didn’t get a picture. Anyway, how your Christmas dey go? Rice and chicken remain? cc lalasticlala Dominique Seun http://mojidelano.com/2015/12/christmas-day-gist-how-governor-was-sighted-kissing-and-romancing-lover-yesterday-night-at-ikeja-city-mall/

Look I saw this one legged approach to governance long before the elections. I tried to say it but my tiny voice was drowned by the baying mob of change seekers who refused to see beyond the emotional lynch mob who saw all the evil in the world in Jonathan. We all failed to look at his past performance as a hamstrung military dictator whose main achievements where the war against indiscipline and the long prison terms that were handed over to hapless politicians. I knew it will come to this, I knew that the only song he could sing was that of the anti corruption lame song. Even with that, I knew he would still be stunted. I knew he would not achieve much in a democratic state where he would just not be able to throw people into jail without recourse to the judicial system. He has cried out in frustration that the judiciary was aiding and abetting the corrupt officials. What did he expect, that he would just catch people and throw them into the gulag just like that? See the way Sambo Dasuki is embarrassing him in the courts and his personal vendetta against that one is so glaring that it's almost childish. Look our problems today is much more than corruption. The way things are, I do not even care about any corruption again, I have even began to miss Jonathan's corruption. We need to reflate this economy, this Buhari's regime as presently configured does not have the capacity to understand that and is technically bereft to offer immediate solutions. Did you all read that foreign opinion which circulated last week. Did you see how they insinuated that these gerontocrats archaic policies was driving away investors. No good news is coming out of our land. Foreign businesses especially South African businesses are being targeted. Just recently the huge Supermarket which employs thousands of Nigerians have been shut down claiming that they are selling expired products. This is a copy cat move by the Lagos government following the 'body Language' they have read from the Federal Government. The implications of this on Foreign Investment and the signal to the economy is lost on these useless marauders. Today instead of a systematic policy of integration and a coordinated assault on the economy from both the fiscal and monetary angles what we get is a military type regime of fines. My brother at the last count, MTN, Guinness are suffering and I am sure a lot more is coming. This is bully economic tactics. How this will resolve long term infrastructural issues and worsening economic indices beats me. Today anytime our lanky President speaks, it's about corruption, looters secretly returning the funds and how the judiciary is not helping him jail people. His advisers are left with nothing to proclaim but his body language as his achievements. Which body language can you read from a man who is almost permanently in the air. Fourteen foreign trips in six months, billions spent on the Presidential fleet, nothing fundamental coming out of those trips. The sweet smell of change is gradually turning into a foul smell of fart coming out of Buhari's backside. We are hungry, we are loosing our jobs and crime is back with a vengeance, the rule of law is witnessing an unusual assault, small business is suffering the financial sector is in a comatose, ideas are drying up and the largest economy in Africa is on its knees in submission to a reformed dictator with no idea of modern economic trends surrounded by a band of advisers who remind me of drunken sailors in children fiction. Kai, the Banks are beginning to show systemic distress. The CBN has come out to aggressively denounce it. They claim that no bank is in distress. That is the biggest lie from the pit of HELL. We know which banks are dying, we know which banks are no longer liquid and this thoughtless TSA policy is the main death knell to these Banks. The banks should have been given enough time to unlock their positions before this military type order which has led them to unraveling positions in almost a distress type sale to meet up the deadline and those who did not do that on time where slammed with monster fines. I can see that Baba is replacing long term jail sentences with world record fines. Laughter is my companion this Sunday morning as I write. Since the judiciary won't allow convictions, then let's slam Fines. Everything and everybody will be fined. I saw this incompetence, I saw it very early and I shouted but like the lone voice in the wilderness I was not hearkened upon. Oh yea children of Nigeria, blood and sorrow will continue to be your plight until we stand up in one voice and shout the hallelujah by taking our own cross in our hands for we have no government. The December deadline for the elimination of Boko Haram will certainly be another joke. I hear over 150 soldiers have been massacred recently. There has been no official confirmation so I will not comment, but whatever is the case, I still see the Boko Haram onslaught going far into our nearest future. The Biafrans are crying although misguided but the steam its gathering is being fueled by the frustrations of joblessness, fuel scarcity, harsh economic climate and rudderless leadership hence the seeming legitimacy of a very stupid and callous crusade. Was Buhari prepared for this, I think not or why would it take him over six months to promulgate a cabinet of the usual suspects. If you were going to settle for Amaechi and Fashola why take that long. You see the mistake Buhari made was that unlike his predecessors Gowon and Obasanjo he never schooled himself after his overthrow. To the best of my knowledge he went back to Daura to his Cows neglecting to keep himself abreast with the happenings in global political economics. Obasanjo became a world statesman, engaging in various platforms of intellectual sagacity, delivering papers with global dimension and being respected for that. So when he came back, he understood the issues, the need for lesser government, the need to remove the subsidy on petrol, the need to create jobs, push for infrastructure and opening up the telecoms sector with little government involvement. What we saw was the foundations of the rebirth of the middle class and the continous push to the economic eldorado which crystallized in the Jonathan era. Today what we are hearing is the over centralization of government. A policy of the 70s, a national carrier an idea that reminds you of cavemen tactics and a President who doubles as the Minister of Petroleum. We are back in the olden days of big government with its attendant inefficiencies, painfully slow policy formulation with little or no policy execution. The limiting of ground breaking ideas for fear of being clamped down or being totally ignored. I saw it. I swear I saw it and I remain complacent fighting to keep a job that is being daily berated with thankless policies which continue to constrict the economy. Buhari, I thank you for the more people that Boko Haram has killed, for the businesses that have died and for the ones that cannot pay salaries, thank you sir. We will soon meet at the polls. I saw this. I swear, I saw it. Joseph Edgar is an investment banker, award winning writer/author, and non conformist. Since the allegations of rape against him by Sugabelly surfaced, Mustapha Audu had kept quiet amidst the whole storm due to the mourning period he and his family are going through as a result of the unfortunate death of their patriarch Prince Abubakar Audu. . But all these have changed as Mustapha Audu has released a statement as regards the allegations. Below is the Official statement ... I am shocked and disturbed about these allegations I categorically deny the allegations of rape whilst admitting to a consensual relationship. I wish to exonerate my brothers and friends of any wrong doing. I wish to thank my friends and family for their support as we grieve the loss of our father barely a week ago. It is unfortunate that we have to respond to these sort of wild and malicious lies at this time,This is a case of a very troubled young lady who had been stalking me and had at many times in the past tried to contact and blackmail me. she had initially started this a while back, but we chose not to respond out of respect for ourselves and our loved ones. We tried to ignore this as we neither wished to get involved in her fictitious stories nor join issues with her. However events of the past few days has compelled me to defend my honour even in my mourning period as the emails will later show. These are some of the excerpts from the emails: "Mustapha.. basically, I just miss you a lot. I don't know why.. I mean I do know why but I can't explain why I stop breathing every time I hear your name, even if it's not about you" "I don't know why I decided to call you. It's been four months since I last heard you speak. I guess I knew to hear you would make me happy, so I did Say hi to Bashir for me, and to Abdul. Call me Mona" "you opened the door nearest to me on the ground floor.. Balked when I saw the bed.. I've never been good with beds... they scare me... visions of violent rape flood my brain and I get goosebumps... it's like having no air.. there are reasons for that... perhaps you'll find out later" She later said to me that she was raped by her mother then boyfriend at a very tender age, you can now imagine my dismay at reading all her accusations. I would like to ask, what kind of society do we live in when you are grieving the loss of your father and at the same time some opportunistic blogger is trying to unnecessarily capitalize on this sensitive period in my life to taint me, my family and friends. Sadly the teeming public without any evidence whatsoever or benefit of doubt join the bandwagon of criticism. I believe the court of public opinion as well as the legal courts will see these stories as false and malicious and declare me innocent. I hate to think that this is an opportunist move and I would like to put this ugly incident behind me as we continue to mourn. I have spoken to my lawyer on the best way to handle this matter, thank you. I have deliberately refused to follow this unfolding drama. I have blind sided the news and not even bothered to read the news nor analysis of this issue which I consider a non issue. I see these people as miscreants and rabble rousers. The agitation for Biafra is just noise and will not even go beyond the sound of their cacaphonic drums and the beats of their weather beaten sandals as they match on the Niger bridge. Those behind this campaign don't just get it. The issue with the South East is not secession. It is not the glorification of a failed attempt four decades ago at secession which saw to the massacre of about 6m people that would solve the problem of inclusion, erosion, infrastructural decay, corruption, unemployment, crime, disease and a lot more that dog the w people. The issue is that of leadership. Constructive leadership that would engage perfectly with the aspirations of the people especially in strategic areas like commerce and education. So all these jobless hoodlums who are hiding under the platform of Biafra to loot and cause distractions should just go and sit down. They will never get the full backing of the civil population and that is the major difference between this joke and the uprising that led to the civil war. The ojukwu led push had a serious followership that is why it lasted as long as it did. Although it started out as a protest to perceived injustice and marginalization, it later was able to wean an ideology which got the people sold. What we have today is an attempt by some dog eaters to play on the nostalgic sentiments of that time to push a selfish and narrow minded agenda especially in the face of severe economic strife which is affecting the whole country not just the Igbo Nation alone. My blame sits perfectly with the Igbo leadership, both political and soil cultural. In their selfishness, they have not carried the restless youth along. In their bid for political power, they have disenfranchised the youths who come with abundant energy and strong ambitions. With very few passed down wealth and privileges, little or no education they are left with nothing but phyric illusions of Biafra. A Biafra which to them was an eldorado. They were not even born so did not witness the massacre and starvation that was the lot of the Igbo people. All they are made to believe was the strong courage of the Biafran Soldier who was able to withstand the strong Nigerian Army with nothing but a stick. These stories and the war museum in Enugu is deceiving them and making them feel that they can withstand the Federal might once again and build a Biafra that would solve all these problems overnight. The Government need to accelerate development initiatives, create jobs, build infrastructure, engage these youths thereby slowly leading them away from this path of self destruction and into the safer path of contributing meaningfully to society. http://josephedgarng..com.ng/2015/11/biafra-what-biafra.html lalsticlala Dominique |

Renowned Jeweler Alexander Amosu recently shared this inspiring message on photo sharing social networking site Instagram. Amosu said: "At the age of 25 I made my first £million. From having zero in my bank account to getting several zeros. A lot of ppl will be gassed by this picture, the truth is if they only knew what I want through to get here they may not find it so glamorous. Blood, sweat, tears, late nights, no friends, no social life, working 3 jobs, no one believing in me, several failed business and flat out broke. Am not showing you this picture because I think it's cool, am merely letting you know the journey is a lot harder than this one picture however it's worth it!" He wrote. Every successful person has a story, nothing good ever comes easy. The key is to persist and persevere, and trust Gods timing for your life. You're closer than you think. Your time will come. Let me share with you an interesting story. Some years ago, during my early Unilag days, I was working with some upcoming artists. One of the acts I was working with-Silly had a new single. So we decided to have a single listening party/birthday shindig for him at the then 11:45 or (was it Reloaded then) night club. The act I was managing had a friend who was very passionate about music, very talented and charismatic too. He was however barely a adult, and still a little small in frame E.en his family was very reluctant about letting him veer into music. The day of the single listening party came and some how, Silly's friend was able to convince his family to let him attend the event with us. We got to the event, but the Bouncers said Silly's friend couldn't enter the club, he was underage. But in truth he wasn't, he just had a small frame. We pleaded, begged did everything to prove that he wasn't legally underage, Bouncers no gree. We then involved the Manager of the club, late Hakeem Sodeinde. He came out, looked at Silly's friend and said even if he was not underage, he just was too small to enter the club. I looked at Ayo(thats what I called him, and saw the sadness and disappointment in his eyes). He tried to mask it by quickly, volunteering that he would wait in the car while we went in because Silly had to do his thing. I felt bad, especially seeing people who were clearly underage paying to enter V.I.P without been questioned, and here we were helpless. If we probably had a lot of money, or any of them were known, his frame or stature wouldn't have mattered. The rest of us there for Silly went into the club but the outing was a terrible one. We had to keep coming out to check on Ayo, and we eventually had to leave. Silly didn't even get to perform his single as planned. Ayo felt terrible that night, and I'm sure he wondered if he would ever make it, or if a time would come that he wouldn't need to introduce himself, stature or not. Today, Ayo is known to you all as Wizkid, but certainly taller...lol. I bet there is no club in Nigeria today that wouldn't beg to host him. Ayo is no doubt lucky, because it didn't take so long for him to make it, perhaps even beyond his expectation. But what about Armancio Ortega? The 79 year old billionaire behind Zara who had very humble beginnings and didn't even get to start Zara until he was 40? He recently over threw Bill Gates to become world's richest man for about 24 hours. What about President Buhari, who has been trying to become President since Nigeria returned to Democracy in 1999? The list of people we can draw inspiration from is endless. What I'm basically saying with all these is that you should ALWAYS believe in your self, even if no one else does. Some of life's toughest battles are fought alone. If you have God, you can face an entire army, he is more than enough. Another important thing is that you must ALWAYS trust God's timing for your life and persevere. God is perfect and never makes mistakes. He knows when you're ripe for success and the breakthrough you need. Sometimes, he makes us go through some of the hardest things to shape us into becoming the best we can be. Remember diamonds? I have my moments but Ive always managed to shake off doubts because I live by these principles. You should too. Never doubt that you will make it, the only uncertainty should be the time. Remain hopeful. http://www.mojidelano.com/2015/11/be-inspired-jeweler-alexander-amosu.html cc lalasticlala Dominique

Apparently, embezzling church money is not a practice synonymous with just Nigeria. The pastor of a Singapore megachurch was convicted of fraud on Wednesday, with a judge finding that he had used millions in church funds to promote his wife’s career in pop music. The pastor, Kong Hee, of City Harvest Church, and five church leaders in Singapore were convicted of fraud Wednesday for using $36 million to turn the pastor's 'glamorous' singer wife into a global pop star to attract more followers. After a two-year trial that captivated Singapore with tales of lavish spending and financial deceit, pastor Kong Hee and five aides were found guilty of diverting Sg$24 million ($17 million) to finance his wife Sun Ho's singing career, which failed to take off. The six, who insisted the project was conceived for religious reasons, were also found guilty of misappropriating another Sg$26 million from the evangelical City Harvest Church (CHC) to cover their tracks, prosecutors said. Ho, 43, who appeared in a 2007 music video with rapper Wyclef Jean in an attempt to cross over from Mandarin pop and reach a wider English-language audience, was not charged. The church tried to justify the use of the money saying Ho's music could be used to attract followers overseas, and spent large sums on high glitz music videos featuring skimpily clad dancers. Judge See Kee Oon found pastor Kong and one other church leader guilty of criminal breach of trust. The four others, including the church accountants, were convicted of varying counts of criminal breach of trust as well as the falsification of accounts. Criminal breach of trust carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, but judicial sources said the actual prison term is limited to a maximum of 20 years. The six used a practice called "round-tripping", channelling money allotted for a building fund into sham bonds in linked companies, to finance Ho's music career, prosecutors said. They also falsified church accounts to make it appear as though the bonds were redeemed. "The accused persons chose to engage in covert operations and conspiratorial cover-ups. They contrived to create cover stories and clever round-trips concealing their unlawful conduct," Judge See said in court. All six were release on bail until sentencing, with Kong's bail set at Sg$1.0 million. The church had defended Ho's attempt to become an international music star as a campaign to spread God's message to the secular world through music. About 100 people, mostly church members, packed the courtroom, some having queued overnight to get a seat, and sat in stunned silence as the guilty verdict was read out. Kong, who founded the church with Ho in 1989, declined to answer questions after the hearing. His wife, who showed up for the verdict in a grey pantsuit and sporting heavily highlighted hair, thanked followers in a Facebook post. "Pastor Kong and I are humbled by the tremendous outpouring of love and support shown to us during this time. We thank you for your prayers," it read. The post quickly garnered hundreds of comments, many mocking her and the church leaders, while others expressed support. The pastor and his wife were once a high-profile couple who led the expansion of their congregation to more than 17,500 members, according to a 2014 annual report. But they quickly fell from grace after charges were filed in 2013 and the court was told how church funds were spent on elaborate music videos, marketing and a luxurious lifestyle. Ho moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and tried to break into Hollywood music circles before the scandal scuttled her showbiz ambitions. Singapore is predominantly Buddhist and Taoist but some local Christian churches have amassed large fortunes thanks to the city-state's affluent population. You need to check out the Pastor's wife's video ft Wyclef. The song is called China wine. Afi China wine naa...lol. <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Jd_fCJISBgs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Perhaps its high time the law started going after Nigerian Pastors, especially where their Church members suspect fraud. This I think, will make them more accountable. All sort of fake Pastors every where. See this one using people's hard earned money for his talented wife'd music career. Church business is really big business. SMH. http://www.mojidelano.com/2015/10/church-business-singapore-pastor.html cc lalasticlala |
