You need to stop embarassing yourself posting pictures of celebrities living in opulence and acting as if Ghanaian celebrities don't do the same. Lastly you are showing your INFERIORITY Complex by showing Nigerians with washed up American artists... Do you think they care about you? That same inferiority complex caused Nigeria to bring Porn stars Kin Kardashian to Nigeria for an absurd amount of money.

Grow up and I have gone through and reported some of the posts which break the rules.

googlepikin: another nvonne nelson scandal, she was caught with a nigerian singer dammy krane in a hotel. ghana girls are machine. they love Nigerian boys

Yvonne Nelson denies dating Nigerian pop star Dammy Krane

She’s single and probably ready to mingle.

Ever wondered what life is like in the spotlight? Well first comes talent, then fame and success, which eventually opens the floodgate for lots of rumours.

This morning, 27 year old Ghollywood sensation Yvonne Nelson took to social networking site Twitter to deny ongoing media reports that she is dating Nigerian pop star Dammy Krane.

She says “So just because he mentions my name in a song, that means, I’m dating him?? #weak LOGIC you can do better than that…Lol.”

The rumour allegedly started when Dammy Krane recorded a song about her titled – Really Love You (Yvonne Nelson).

The House of Gold star followed up with another tweet “Its like peeps wake up in the morning, guessing and deciding who Yvonne Nelson is dating….. absurd”.

This will not be the first time Yvonne has been linked to a Nigerian music star. In 2012, she was rumoured to be dating Kukere master Iyanya (In his song Ur Waist, he mentioned Yvonne) and in February 2013, reports of sparks flying between her and Ice Prince surfaced while shooting her third movie – House of Gold in Ghana.

It seems Nigerian men are obsessed with Ghanaian women but are intimidated by Ghanaian men. Well you can't create all those fine Ghanaian women without the men. I am guessing Nigerian men are secretly gay and are interested in Ghanaian men hence the obsession with the women. I can assure you than no Ghanaian man will go gay! Sorry!! grin grin grin grin

31 It's over!!!
If you were below 26 I could hook you up with a Ghanaian man but 31?? Forget about it!!

Just joking wink grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Marriage is not for everybody! As long as you are happy with yourself everything will work out in the end. The fact that you are taking all these fancy vacations suggest you are already rich and we all know very few men want to marry a woman much richer than them. It is clear most men will be intimidated by you unless they themselves have a lot going for them. The problem is, if a man has a lot going for them they ain't looking for a 31 year old grin grin grin grin grin

Take what part of that seriously that you choose to but please don't be offended. wink

I stopped following this thread due to the ignorance on it... Some people here simply hate "ethnic" Ghanaians so, I can't waste my time on poor little girls who have hate in their heart. Life is too short for me to do that.

Good bye!!

I will end by saying Ghana will ALWAYS be better than Nigeria! wink

Some of these Nigerian people are very sick. I think it is best for Ghanaians to stay as far away from Nigerians as possible they are bad news generally speaking just look at Nigeria. Some of their ideas could destroy not only Ghana but West Africa as a whole cheesy I will end by saying only Ghanaian RULE can save West Africa.

A country were 90 percent of a segment of the population bleaches needs some serious psychological intervention and Ghana can't afford to pay for it. It will take years to get them to think the right way and it won't happen in my lifetime.

Now back to topic, presently Black Americans are rated as the 18th largest economy in the world. By the year 2015, African-Americans will be spending $1.1 trillion a year on products and services. This consumer spending would rank “African-American Consumers” as the 16th largest country in the world. Collectively this consumer spending exceeds the gross domestic production of Egypt, Turkey, Poland, Australia, Taiwan and more than 150 other nations of the world' FACT... http://www.blackeconomicdevelopment.com/nielsen-african-american-consumers-rank-as-worlds-16th-largest-country/

Ghana needs to catch up with Ivory Coast first. You clearly stated all the natural resources of Ghana, Ivory Coast does not have any natural resources, cocoa is their major export yet Ivory Coast is at least 2 times more developed than Ghana. Ivory Coast has 2 standard well developed cities but Ghana does not even have one. Accra is all that Ghana has got yet it is a huge slum with no single world class infrastructure. I have met many Ghanians in Abidjan and they know this to be true.

So in West Africa, Ghana needs to catch up with Senegal and Ivory Coast that has the same population sizes with it.

Worry about Nigeria. Ghana is the best country in West Africa!

What is rude about it? Nadia/Van Vicker/ Majid all suck. Unfortunately, what saved them in the great scheme of things is their skin tones and fake accents. A career in Nollywood/Gollywood should be based on Merits, hardwork, etc.

That is offensive.

Why do you assume people who make it in acting don't work hard? You are buying the films right? Those films are also very famous in the Caribbean and parts of North America so, if that many people like them it is on merit and not what you may be trying to insinuate.

Bwahahahaha... Who knows?

Bruv, you agree with my assertion about Ghana, innit? grin

I don't agree... Very few Ghanaians are "mixed"...This is Africa not the Caribbean or South America a very small minority may be but not enough to even capture on any census analysis . Remember the British never actually stayed in Ghana. There have been very few opportunities to mix. In South Africa where the Dutch and British stayed there is a colored(mixed) population there so your argument may make sense for them, that is not the case in any Country in West Africa apart from Cape Verde.

Do you even know what being light-skinned is? The people in those instagram-induced pictures aren't light skinned, they're caramel colour!

I reiterate, most(probably about 95%) of light-skinned Ghanaians are mixed.. I don't have a problem with colour, I was just stating the obvious about Ghanaians. No beef!

95 percent of light skinned Nigerians are bleached or mixed. grin grin grin Mainly bleached!!

It depends on what you call "Light Skinnned" My dad is relatively light and my mother is darker as am I... but I can confirm my dad is not "mixed"... To be mixed you would have to to know an ancestor that was not Black African.

Ghanaian here. Why are Nigerias always talking about Skin color! Many of you need some very serious psychological help. This type of talk is common among new world blacks but, they have been under European rule for over 300 years so, what is your excuse for being so obsessed... How many threads are you going to create about this Ghana lady?? She's cute but she probably would not be interested in any of you(I'm just being honest)... She wants a good looking guy! She wants a Ghanaian!!! She wants a Ghanaman!!! grin grin grin By the way her color is natural and not bleach unlike many Nigerians who look like her!! Bleaching is part of the reason why Ghanaian me don't go for Nigerian women. Why go for the bleached face when you can get the real thing if not in Ghana in areas like Brazil, the Caribbean,North America, the UK etc etc !!! In these areas there are numerous people who look like Nadia and she would be nothing special.

solomon111: Ghana better than Nigeria?
Are you kidding me?
Have you been to Nigeria before?
Cos i have been to ghana before and there was Nothing there to really impress me.
Nigeria floors ghana in most indices of devt, especially infrastructure.
The North have been inhabitable for YEARS?
Do you even know what you are saying?
The North has some of Nigeria's best states with basic infrastructures and very low cost of living.
Infact, the north has the highest population of Nigerians, though very recently, a few states there have security issues.
I agree with you though, that lagos was build with resources from the oil-producing states and even the north during the colonial era.
Most of your write-up about Nigeria is very untrue, get facts next-time.

Yes Ghana is better than Nigeria. Not having Al Qaeda in your country starts you out with 5 points out of the 10!! Either way agreeing with me shows you are not an illiterate. I hope to never hear a person say that comment again. I have never heard a Ghanaian say Accra has a bigger economy than Liberia and Sierra Leone combined even though its true because Ghanaians are actually smart and know a lot of resources have been pushed to Accra!!
Politics / Re: Lagos To Emerge 13th Largest Economy In Africa By 2014 by smoothcrim2014: 3:39am On May 10, 2013
I just humiliated you and now you are insulting.

Mexico, and Russia are top economies? Brazil is a top economy?

Are you joking! I just humiliated you and showed your analysis is flawed. Nigeria has 7 times the population of Ghana and is an OPEC oil producing country. Lagos economy is a reflection of post colonial pouring of all resources into Lagos. It cannot and should not be compared to Ghana in anyway. It is a result of a skewed development paradigm which has left much of Northern Nigeria an uninhabitable area of massive poverty.

Ghana is not only better than Lagos but all of Nigera...

Today Ghana is the fourth most stable and most prosperous nation in Africa as of 2012, a recognized regional power, regional hegemony, an approaching middle power, and an emerging economy.] It leads African nations in human development, technology, health care, competitiveness, income per capita, globalization, press freedom, state of peace, economic freedom, low perception of corruption, and the world in real GDP growth. It also ranks highly in Africa on the sustainability of the state, and number one in Africa on democratic development.

Ghana is the first to second largest producer of cocoa in the world, and the eighth largest producer of gold and gold bars in the world. Ghana is also a crude oil and natural gas producer; producing 300 million barrels of crude oil and 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day as of May 2013. Ghana is a founding member of the Non-Aligned Movement, an observer of the Organization of American States, and a current participator of the United Nations.

What does Lagos produce to merit it being compared to a country like this? NOTHING. Lagos is a result of historically sucking wealth from other regions, especially oil producing areas, to build Lagos up!

How dare you compare Lagos to a state like GLORIOUS GGhana. Only an illiterate would do that. Learn to think like a learned man son. wink

Nigeria is an important country in Africa and the security issues, especially in the North, must be solved or it could destabilize Nigeria and the Sahel.
Politics / Re: Lagos To Emerge 13th Largest Economy In Africa By 2014 by smoothcrim2014: 2:33am On May 10, 2013
rosebowl01: Wrong! According to CIAFactbook, Ghana's GDP (OFFICIAL EXCHANGE RATE) is $40.2 Billion. Lagos' GDP after it is rebased is projected to be more than that of Ghana's entire economy. If Lagos' GDP in terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is considered, then it is more than Ghana's $83 Billion.
Mind you, Ghana's GDP is already rebased/revised upwards. Nigeria has not done that yet.

If you believe Lagos has a bigger economy than Ghana you are a joker. According to this false Data Lagos has a bigger economy than Johannesburg and all South African cities. Lastly Lagos GDP PPP would not be higher than Ghana due to inflation.

In reality your statement may or may not be true but if it is it is a sign of bad governance due to not spreading the wealth.

By the way Bejing a city in China has a bigger economy than Nigeria under the analysis you are doing!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing

Such analysis is false and often a joke to try to even do because it does not tell the real story which is one of poor wealth distribution especially in the context of a developing country like Nigeria where wealth is concentrated in certain areas and others are left in misery!.

Los Angeles a city in the California USA has an economy twice the size of Nigeria!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles#Economy
grin

This is a city within only one state in the USA.

Mexico city(one city in Mexico) has a bigger economy than Nigeria!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico_City#Economy
Sao Paulo Brazil a simple city in Brazil has an economy bigger than all of Nigeria.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A3o_Paulo#Economy

Moscow has a bigger economy than Nigeria
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow#Economy

London has an economy almost 3 times the size of Nigeria's
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London#Economy

What I am teaching you here is how to make sensible statements.
