Politics › Re: Presidential Poll: Soldiers Arrive Lagos’ Streets by smsdigito: 8:35pm On Mar 23, 2015*. Modified: 4:26pm On Mar 24, 2015 |
chibecanglobal: Ahead of Saturday’s Presidential election, stern-looking and combat-ready soldiers were Monday, spotted along the Boundary Market-Marine Beach Road, in Ajegunle, Lagos controlling traffic in the area.
Residents who spoke to Vanguard said the soldiers had been deployed to the area since Saturday, even as they had a show-of-force physical exercise that day.
According to them, since the soldiers arrived the area, they have taken over control of traffic. This development Vanguard gathered has restored normalcy in the area, as against the usual chaotic traffic jam caused by the indiscriminate parking by yellow bus (danfo) drivers and motorcyclists (okada riders) in the axis.
A resident, Wale Oke said: “Since Saturday, that these soldiers have been here, the chaotic traffic build-up we have especially along this Boundary Market Roundabout has been cleared-off.
“This no-nonsense soldiers have cleared-off all the danfo bus drivers and the okada riders who park indiscriminately along this road to pick and drop passengers. This is a nice development,” he said.

Politics › Re: OPC Council Disowns Gani Adams, For Betraying Yoruba Nation by smsdigito: 12:14pm On Mar 18, 2015 |
harde2lah: Here’s a press statement by the National Coordinating Council of the OODUA People Congress (OPC) after a ‘violent’ protest occurred today in Lagos calling for the removal of INEC Chairman by Gani Adams fraction. The National Coordinator and other key members released this statement disassociating themselves from the act and wanting Nigerians to know Gani is on his own. Read….
We, the members of the National Coordinating Council of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, the highest ruling body of the organization, wish to disassociate ourselves from the shameful, destructive, violent and reactionary activities of the Gani Adam-led team which occurred in Lagos today. What was witnessed today in Lagos was the highest level of political violence sponsored and funded by certain elements in the Jonathan government.
Gani Adams is on his own and does not enjoy the support of a large size of our membership spread across the country. He is working for the sponsors of violence against our people who want the March 28 elections not to hold. Unleashing terror on innocent citizens and killing them is not the way of democracy. It is not our idea of a people-oriented advocacy.
Gani Adams is on dubious project. He is using the Pipleline contract from the Jonathan government as a ploy or excuse to recruit people to work for Jonathan and PDP in the South West. Gani Adams is acting against Yoruba interest. The compromises he has made amounts to selling the Yoruba to the present government for a piece of Pipeline contract to line his pockets. OPC is not about Pipleline contracts or any other contracts for that matter. The Yoruba interest is beyond contracts. We seek justice and fairness from the current government.
We, members of the National Coordinating Council of the Odua People’s Congress, OPC, call all true Yoruba leaders, sons and daughters to stand with us in totally condemning Gani and his anti-democratic tendencies. We must renounce him and remind him he cannot sell the Yoruba race to Jonathan and PDP on the cheap. He also has no authority to speak on behalf of the Yoruba people. We pity those who rely on him to win votes. They will be sorely disappointed. Their investment is a bad one already. We reject today and always any attempt to use our organization and its members for narrow and selfish partisan purposes.
We must remind them that the Yoruba people cannot be hoodwinked by sweeteners. No one should expect them to kow tow to an individual who is a Lilliputian in the political development and history of the Yoruba nation. The Yorubas are a politically sophisticated persons and will simply ignore political opportunists like Gani Adams. We renounce him and his activities which are against the larger Yoruba interest. We renounce all other Yoruba sons and daughters who are playing roles inimical to the welfare and interest the larger Yoruba nation.
We call on our people to be vigilant politically at this time. Nigeria needs a new leadership, a new direction and a country that works.
Comrade Shina Akinpelu March 16th, 2015
In attendance were Monsuru Akande, Sunday Adebayo, Kilanko Oladipupo, Kehinde Ogunyale, and Gbenga Eegunlusi. All pioneer members of the OPC.

Karlman: I need some sound advice from sound minds. My girlfriend is three weeks pregnant as I am typing to you. From the depth of my heart and soul I want to keep the pregnancy but I am unemployed and really broke. And when I think of my financial status and what would be required to nurse and deliver a babe, I am tempted to think of doing the unthinkable. But I am so drawn to this pregnancy and the baby in it. The way it came to me and the time it came to me and how I can already feel its presence even when its only a three week old cluster of blood, left me in perpetual amazement. This is not the first time a girlfriend would be pregnant for me, but never at any of the times have I felt as connected with them as I feel with this particular one. In the past cases I have always done the otherwise and moved on without blinking an eye but now I can't even lift a finger against this child. But how will I weather the storm of unemployment+pregnant babe+baby on the way? Already I can't sleep no more, staying up all night and day thinking on how to get all the miles covered.
Thanks for your time! I need to attack you hard so you stand on your feet as a man, u xes, its sweet yet only your babe is doing a small job, u stay by complaining no Job, am sure you are waiting for oil company job. you are a lazy man, not everybody wait on govt or companies to employ them, so many avenues of making small small monies from the start especially if you are based in Lagos. Take up even a marketing job, start any small thing in fact do anything modest to end money no matter how small. Having troubles about aborting this pregnancy means there is something special that God wants to do in your life as you prepare to receive this baby and if you dare that abortion, you will not imagine the dangers that may come your way. God is warning you enough is enough. prepare your cv go from company to company tell them you can work even as security guard, guy start looking for something. do something to beget something. I cant pamper you on this matter. my take.

Wait o, is this the first time Mr. president is coming to lagos, sheraton or anywhere where other cars are been parked? I think we need to think well over this matter, for instance there is always the other side of the coin. Have we heard from the security agents whom they claimed deflated the tires? If we fail to find out before taking sides then this will not be fair at all to blame GEJ or his security because it may just be that there was spot where they were put on notice not to park within yet some Nigerians like we know will tell you i am citizen and not a slave, then they go and park there. In that case what do you expect the security officials to do? I am very sure not only ten cars deflated were around that place so it suggests to me that the ten cars deflated may have violated a specific order.
Lets hear from the security agents before we know who to blame in this case. My take

mutter: I am sorry I did not sympathize with you! Yes what was done to you was evil, it was wrong.
But you see you were also not "forced" with physical force but you were still forced because pressure was mounted on you and you had no choice, their will was imposed on you.
But that does not justify your doing the same to others. If you ask a house help to sleep with you, she would do it for fear of you maltreating her or coursing her to leave. You just have to admit that there was no justification for what you did.
i am certainly not condemning you but also just pointing that out to you. If you have a chance apologize to your victims. That is the main reason he explained which is the effect of the molestation he had that eventually he didnt have control over as always the case. There is no need blaming him for many reasons one bc he was still young had little control over himself, two also because nobody sensed it to help him out, three the parents were not together so it was easier for him to continue without being discovered by any of the parents. Thank God he is a better person and we must all learn from this and not only to apportion blames. Another key reason i appreciate this poster is that some people went through similar or even worst things and they are here on nairaland yet they refuse to expose the information for others to learn from it thereby claiming saints unnecessarily. |

worriedmom: Hello Everyone,
Please this post is strictly for mothers. I need your kind advice and counsel. I am a mother of two. I have this very disturbing condition. My breasts have become fully sagged and frail looking after I had my second baby. It worries me a lot. My Husband does not bother touching or sucking my breasts when making love to me these days, not to talk of sucking them. And this is what he used to love and enjoy doing before I started having and nursing kids.
Please I'd like to know if any lady in the house has experienced such drastic sagging and if there are ways to revive the fallen breasts. Are there moms out there that their husbands have stopped caressing their bosoms because they have fallen due to constant nursing of babies? does it make you feel bad like me? Have you ever raised such issue with your husband?
Also, my husband used to go down low, but after he witnessed the delivery process in the labour room when I had my second child, he has stopped going down low. I'm just soo worried my people. Please any advice from moms and maybe dads will really be helpful to me. Thank you
I created a new profile to hide my identity cos I'm one of the regular contributors to the forum. I really feel your pain my sister and i appreciate your courage and energy to ensure you keep your marriage and home through one of these key things that often scatter marriages(sexual life). Perhaps the following info maybe helpful. The breasts are really sensitive part of the female body, and there are many factors that can impair its firmness and turgidity making it impossible to wear clothes with elegance. Many women have taken this matter into account and have used many tips and techniques to prevent their breasts "falling." Here we have gathered the best and most effective tips so you do not think about the possibility of an aesthetic surgery. General Tips: • Try using a good bra, which is your size and fits snugly but without squeezing. This is very important especially when you do some sort of physical activity such as jumping. The breast tissue is damaged very easily, so they must be sure that the skin does not tear with the movement and striations. • Sudden changes in weight cause streaking. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor your weight constantly. • When you shower, use cold water and prevent hot. • Do not use soaps that irritate your skin. Seek containing emollient oils. The Diet of the firm breasts Diet is undoubtedly the key to maintaining any part of the skin healthy, young and strong. The following is a guide to help you notice the food that stand out as very useful to keep skin firm and in place. With this guide you can assemble a variety of dishes, smoothies, desserts and other and to vary your daily menu. Vitamin A: carrots and orange vegetables and fruit are rich in vitamin A, which is essential to help prevent skin getting dry, dull and lifeless. Vitamin E: avocados, the sprouted wheat, rice, corn (raw), olive oil or sesame (sesame seed), almonds, etc., are rich in vitamin E. This vitamin is essential to prevent sagging and maintain healthy skin. Phytoestrogens: excellent to help prevent aging of skin, products made fromsoybeans like tofu, milk, soy yogurt, etc, contain large numbers of them, especially the fresh soybean sprouts. Whey: is considered an elixir of youth because it is rich in sodium, the mineral essential to beauty. Brewer’s yeast: is rich in amino acids, essential complement to the reconstruction of tissues. Food should not miss in your diet: tablets of alfalfa, parsley, brewer's yeast or celery, green tea, oats, parsley, lentils, spinach, sunflower seeds, sage, thyme, prunes, aloe juice, walnuts, almonds, strawberries, rice flour, tomato, coconut and raw egg yolk. All these foods are rich in silica, essential mineral for health and beauty of skin and ligaments. In addition, try to eat blue fish frequently and primrose oil and borage, which are rich in essential fatty acids that moisturize skin on the inside. Recommended cereals: malta, barley, rye, wheat, corn, oats and buckwheat to provide greater turgor breasts. Wheat germ (rich in vitamin E) delays the degradation of the tissues. Oils or gel to keep the breasts firm and soft Fortunately, there are many oils you can use to keep your chest smooth and firm. The best thing is to use 3 or 4 times a week, after showering, so that the oil may be better absorbed by your skin. If you use them often, you will notice their properties increasing elasticity, smoothness and firmness. Make sure that the oils are of quality and suit your skin type. When you apply the oil, do it gently in circular motions. Borage oil: emollient properties (softens, revitalizes and regenerates the skin), rich in essential fatty acids that our body cannot produce. Helps preserve the fibers of collagen. Almond Oil: softens and helps skin as being high in vitamin E. Evening primrose oil: rich in Omega 6, useful for retaining moisture in the skin, stay hydrated and elastic. Wheat germ oil: This oil is ideal for delaying the effects of aging, rich in vitamin E, Omega 3 and Omega 6, moisturizes the skin and actually prevents the formation of stretch marks. It is highly nutritious for the skin. Sesame oil: softens and nourishes the skin, ideal to help dry out the skin to recover its elasticity and smoothness. Stand with your back straight and right leg slightly open, take weights, drop your arms at your sides and then slowly raise your arms outstretched to each side, thus forming a cross with your body. Perform 8 repetitions. Then, join extended arms to the height of your chest and up and down. Make 1 set of 8 repetitions. Considering increasing as you go. Routine No. 2 Extend your arms straight ahead, meeting the palms. Press it against one another with force. Hold it about 10 seconds to rise. Perform the same exercise above, but now with your hands in prayer position. Squeeze 5 seconds a hand against the other with the greatest strength you can, let rest 3 seconds and repeat. Perform this exercise 10 times. |

CORRUPTION:
PDP e-militia and their latest defector, an inconsequential nobody, who needed money and protection have been insinuating that the peoples General is surrounded by “thieves” like Tinubu even though he has not been found guilty in any court of law; hence the anti corruption crusade propagated by APC is null and void. Crocz: My 2nd year in Uni...I was going for a stroll at night, usually to one of the reading rooms (not to read, I don't read in night classes...I was on a mission )....then there was this gurl walking in front of me receiving call, suddenly she tripped and dropped her phone...and unfortunately it fell into the gutter, what made matters worse was that the gutter was sealed but the phone dropped through the space left on the gutter seal. I helped her up and she said to me in the most calm and pitiful voice "pls help me get my phone, it fell down there' O boi, I looked down the gutter the place dark ehn!...what do I know resides in there?.. I thought at first no way I'm gonna go down there but then what kinda man will I be if I don't help her. So I went to the end of the gutter (fortunately for me it's dry), crawled in and proceeded to where the phone was. It felt like I was crawling round the whole world in a dark tunnel. Chai!..mosquitoes bit me, ant stung me, I hit my head, cobwebs all over my face, I even woke up some sleeping lizards ...finally, I got the phone got out and handed it over to her...waiting to claim my reward of atleast a kiss or a hug ,that's when this dude showed up and whisked her away. She was actually talking to him when she tripped and he's her bf.
In all, I didn't get a "thank you" from her stone faced bf and my market spoil that night, I had to abort my mission for that night cos I looked horrible buhahahahahahaha very very funny story. Eya, but cant you help a babe for free? Maybe if your assistance was without any string attached, the bobo wouldn't have appeared.

Momma2: I have told my husband and he went wtf . He was and still is so upset that a so called friend would do that. He said he always thought he was a bit weird but never to that extent because the friend makes some sexual comments even in my hubby's presence which we always thought were very inappropriate. So he has been cut off effective immediately. Won't even let my daughters near him. Thanks everyone for your insight. Now U Come. now i can sleep with two fingers closed. hmmmmmmm |

look medical Doctors stop deceiving this black couple, one of your white brothers crossed this black lady anyhow. If this case was the other way round, the London police would have by now started criminal investigation on a possible extra marital affairs by a black guy. That baby is pure white, no stories. call a spade a spade. |
