Unlike MoS that had all the advantages due to;

--- DC having a strong film brand
--- Riding on the success of TDK trilogy
--- Having Christopher Nolan being involved in it as its producer and scriptwriter
** Having no comic book competition; Iron man 3 was released 6 weeks before, and The Wolverine was released 6 weeks after.
** Being in cinema for a whooping 4 months

Due to this advantages the studio, media and industry analyst were expecting a billion grosser, but yet the movie only ended up grossing $668M, followed by non-positive critical and audience receptions 😂. Imagine spending four freaking month in cinema (coupled with all the favourable condition you were released in), and all you could gross is $668M 😂

Imagine MoS had being released in 2025 with all the unfavorable condition, imagine how big a flop it would have been 😂

Unlike Superman, that despite its unfavorable condition still ended up crushing MoS in multiple areas;
** Opening day
** Opening weekends
** Total domestic gross
** Critical and audience reception

And it would have crushed MoS worldwide gross if not for the release of F4. So Snyderbots should go organize a thanksgiving service for F4 😂

And here's the reality;
** Superman crushed MoS in multiple areas, despite the unfavorable condition it was released in. Snyderbots should thank F4 for the gift... the gift of Superman not out grossing MoS 😂
** Superman broke even and is profitable, thus meeting the expectations of Gunn, Zaslav and Safran
** Superman had positive critical and audience reception, one that MoS, despite the favourable condition it was released in, could only dream of
** With the good performance of Superman, the DCU is here to stay whether Snyderbots like it or not 😂. Zaslav and Gunn has made that clear.
** The first two DCU films (Creature Commandos and Superman) had positive reception unlike that of the Snyder's DCEU (MoS and BvS, two mega films for that matter) that had non-positive receptions.
** The Snuderverse is dead, gone and forgotten, and there's nothing... absolutely nothing that Snyderbots can do about it, aside hating and wailing 😂

And one more thing, if Superman is a failure, MoS is a failure, but if you argue MoS is a success in terms of breaking even and being profitable, then Superman is a success . So try to be logically consistent, you can't have it both ways 😂

Which leads me to believe that the movie may have gotten good reviews but it's not as good as they claim it is.

The movie is not as half good as many of them are saying it. Majority of the people praising it to high heaven are either Gunn fanatics or those with personal mission to see it beat any records of MoS, even the likes of Hohenheim and Xavier5 had stated it here countless times before the movie was even released.. There are even many youtube videos of people calling out critics and influencers shills. That's they were influenced, probably through by paying their flight tickets to and fro, lodge them in one of the best hotels and also give them souvenirs just to see the movie in order to influence their decisions...

They have to change that thing before Justice League hits. I believe James Gunn will crush it with a Justice League movie though. That's the kind of thing he excels in. Team up films. Superman would have worked better if it was not a Superman solo movie but a film that has Superman as a minor character.

I don't think James Gunn can handle a Justice League movie with many top tier characters. He excel more with unknown characters so he can easily injects his escapism style. My thoughts on James Gunn's SUPERMAN:

The writing really could have been better. Gunn has written better stories with heart and fun,but SUPERMAN wasn't it. The movie tried to be everything at once, same mistake Zack Snyder made with BvS. The writing wasted a good cast.

One issue I had with the film was pacing, tone and stake. Scenes aren't allowed to breathe. We don't know the character Dynamics, we are just thrown into scenes and with lots of exposition to explain it. The krypto character was unnecessary. Like Jesus, is this film meant for a general audience or strictly for kids? A lot of jokes don't land or felt forced. And seriously, what's it with the Lex Luthor girlfriend thing? That looks silly. I mean it really cheapened who the villain is if he was to keep around someone like that in his business space. And the way he was exposed, I mean, really? Jesus Christ, Gunn couldn't have come up with a better investigative journalist arc for both Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane than have Lois teaming up with vigilantes when she could be out looking for the scoop of the century? This is the problem I had with MOS, putting Lois Lane in places a journalist normally wouldn't be in and not having the journalist act like a journalist. Superman and Lois got Lois way better. The actress is fantastic but the story failed her just like Amy Adams.

Then, let's talk about the costume. Jesus, I see nowhere it's explained why all the suits look second grade in the movie. I get that Max Lord is funding the Justice Gang but why is Green Lantern not in GLC uniform? Besides, GL is supposed to be a cop not a vigilante for hire. And the Metamorpho arc was just contrived. Why was he working for Lex? How did Lex get to kidnap his kid?

I loved Nicolas Hoult's Lex Luthor. It's something I thought Jesse Eisenberg would be in BvS. However I felt he started to over-act towards the end. And the story wasn't fair to him by not giving him a motivation aside whatever it was they gave him.

Again, I hated how they started the film. I get they were going for a James Bond-esque opening but jeez, there was no build up to keep tension that the stakes were high for SUPERMAN.

The cinematography or the color scheme and CGI was really second rate. I mean, Superman returns had better CGI and that was 2006. SUPERMAN looked more like a CW episode than the CW series even did ironically.

Lastly, they better change that suit.
And recast the Kents. Jonathan Kent looks like a guy who worked with the Italian mafia and retired to live on a farm. Martha Kent looks like a racist grandma who used to own slaves back in the day.

I'm glad someone is saying the obvious truth about the movie, coz the way influencers and Gunn fanatics have been glazing the movie like it's the 2nd coming of Christ and one would think the movie was great. The movie is best average...
