That's just the issue with people that are so much in love with the MCU. They think everything about cbm must be colourful and funny. They don't care to read wide to know that there are many versions of these characters.
Even the JL animation series he is referencing here, ask him if he has ever watched the episode Superman fought Shazam? He should tell us where they fought? Was it not a similar environs Zod and Superman fought in MoS and even greater damage was done to the city in JL series when compared to that of MoS. If you show them the episode I bet you they will tell you that that was just an animation so it doesn't matter, but they are quick to forget that they often referenced comic books and animations any time they want to come up with their stories

Ben Affleck trying not to do cbm again is not even about his Snyder's version of Batman, but mainly about how the character had been handle by the studio over the years. However, this same version of Batman had been handled by four different directors and of which everybody knows the Snyder's version is literally the best and topnotch if compare to others, though Ayer's own was just a cameo.
So trying to pin the blame on Zack or making it looked like Ben Affleck was actually talking about Zack's Batman is a big F'up.

For WB trying to have a premier day release for Japan says a lot. They're trying so hard to make its premier numbers to look good that day by pushing Japan released date forward and those who knows know... Though, a sissy guy here with no iota of how the movie industry works will think otherwise.
From bad test screening, to reshoot (which Gunn lied to be pick up scenes even though he claimed he doesn't do pick up scenes nor reshoot in his movies) and now to Japan having a release date same with the USA, then something is obviously wrong with the movies. I have known about that movie for at least 3 - 4yrs now. I only stated it here like 2months ago ever since some people are making James Gunn a demigod, like he's that perfect director out there.
What Gunn diehard fans need to know is; even the super talented directors sometimes produced movies that have low RT scores, so if you think Gunn is exceptional then you need to do a rethink, because there will be a time for such. Oh just pray his Superman is not the time.

I hope one day we will be able to see something like this in a live-action movie.. This is what Snyder was actually bringing to the big table, but like many of us guessed; the crybabies everywhere were never ready to welcome anything different from what the MCU was actually serving them....

It's more realistic and reasonable to expect a James Gunn Superman that isn't groundbreaking, masterful or super great but is at least very good.

Expecting James Gunn Superman to be terrible is by far the most delusional take I have heard of.

Unlike Zack Snyder, all of Gunn's movies are well received by the general audience and critics.

Truly, they received his Suicide Squad perfectly.
My point on that video was not even the terrible test screening, but the reshoot he did or about doing.

For me the best director MCU had and WB should have gone for was the Russo brothers rather than this one-pony trick guy. Check all his movies they are same and one; gather a bunch of characters, throw in a cgi character as a comic relief then repeat same again and again.
