@Midolian
Using the errors of a document that is more than a century (100 years) old to justify a typographical error which was made in this dispensation and time is rather low, don't you think?

First off, the US constitution did not have the luxury of being typed on a computer, as we all know, computers of this age have various Auto-Correct features.
Such should have been employed.

Also, you should have highlighted the following in the text you quoted since you feel the need to justify the mistake.

From the highlights above, we can deduce that:-
1. The misspellings in the Original document of the US constitutiom was as a result of it's been hastily written just after the convention concluded. The Buhari led FG had more than 4 months to type Thirty-Seven (37) names.

2. At that time, the American spelling of words was inconsistent at best. In this time and dispensation, we have machines that are capable of spelling, writing and talking correctly for us.

3. The misspelled word in the ministerial list was highlighted, it should have been easy to detect.

The above said, I believe that no one is above mistakes and that gaffes are allowed, however such should not repeat itself next time over a simple document of not more than 200 words. It begs the question of competency at high levels.

So?

Even in the U.S constitution, there are errors, let alone Nigerian ministerial list that was hastily typed and submitted. The word "Pennsylvania" is spelled with a single "n", "Pensylvania" in the U.S constitution.

Another mistake, though less obvious, is a common one even today: the word "it's" is used in Article 1, Section 10, but the word "its" should have been used.

The most common mistake, at least to modern eyes, is the word "choose", spelled "chuse" several times. This is less a mistake than it is an alternate spelling used at the time. The word is found in the Constitution as both "chuse" and "chusing"....etc
http://www.usconstitution.net/constmiss.html
I guess these errors are the reasons for the economic "backwardness" of the U.S. Today. *laughs*

You guys better look for errors that are powerful enough to increase fuel price, take away food from your table, reduce power supply and increase insurgency...
That typo is too obvious not to be detected... You cannot compare that to a constitution that has volumes upon volume of texts, That list is on a single page and the heading is visible enough to be seen by even a 90 year old man without glasses on. Whoever typed that made a terrible mistake, period.

Be mindful of jumping to defend any or everything about PMB, doing this without restraints or caution would make you look stupid. No be everything dem dey defend...mistake na mistake, don't bring America into this because we all know English originated from Britain, we were colonised by the British and not the Americans.

Enough of all these leaders who loot and expect us to celebrate them. Enough is enough.

The petty thieves that steal are lynched meanwhile bigger criminals are being worshipped. Which way forward for this country sef?
All I ask is you respect the dead and let him face judgement with God...

As for public officials stealing huge amount of money, if a system is in place to prevent stealing then nobody will have the access to such huge amount. The Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System(IPPIS) scheme is a system to checkmate ghost workers saving Nigeria Billions, the BVN is a system in place to checkmate identity fraud, Single Treasury Account is a system to checkmate budget inflation and revenue mismanagement, barring ministers from awarding contracts is another way of preventing them from awarding contracts to themselves through proxy, so my dear, with all this system in place money can easily be traced thank God for Information Technology. Stealing may not be fully eliminated but can be drastically reduced. goat and yam theory(separate the goat from the yam will prevent the goat from chopping the the yam, but keep the goat close to a yam barn and see your yam go missing).

Face your life and wait for your turn which will surely come, dont waste your time judging others, you will surely die and be judged one day. Besides the 'judge' term im referring to should be understood in its context. I expect you've met them around, using it to cloud their evil, indecent, ungodly deeds.
A ministering spirit can also perform signs and wonders at a particular time to deceive even the saints to believe it is from God. This is why testing the spirit is important to know if your action is ordered by God's Holy Spirit or by an Evil Spirit. Don't be moved by signs and wonders thinking every miracle is from God. The bible tells us - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12.

Jesus himself is not exception from temptations talk less his disciplines.

Another way you can look at is If God puts a power is in your tongue and out of anger you lay a curse on someone then you later realised you have gone too far with your actions. Would you now blame God or blame it on your lack of anger management?

You sound spiritually immature to discuss matters concerning the Holy Spirit, To be filled with the Holy Spirit doesn't prevent you from falling into temptation, the Holy Spirit only guides you through your spirit, It is now left to your soul to either agree or disagree before conditioning your body to obey or not to obey. Case study: when Jesus was in the wilderness, despite fasting and being filled with the Holy Spirit didnt prevent him to be tempted by the devil, infact the temptation did not just come once but three times. So my brother do not look at the actions or character of the men of God as a yard stick to act same instead rely on the words of God and be lead by the Holy Spirit.

Would you chose the actions of Paul as against the actions of Jesus Christ? Knowing well that some men of God erred in bible, this is just to point to the fact that we humans are not perfect, If Jesus can be tempted three times who then is Paul to not be tempted or make error of judgement.

Shalom.

B) old things have passed away, all things become new.

The 'new testament' crew use this passage to so much prove that the old testament is 'highly' irrelevant. Their Pastors are usually the source for this stance, i've observed. C) Peter's vision at Simon the Tanner's Rooftop. 'what God has cleansed, let no man call unclean'. Many use it to justify why they must eat any thing that has flesh. From lizard to bats... Smh. Peter explained this vision in the presence of Cornelius, but as usual, the 'a' part of a verse, scripture is taken for misuse, and the 'b' part is cut out. Babylon(confusion)!! grin

Christianity EtcWhat Does The Bible Mean That We Are Not To Judge Others? by smuth(op): 1:05pm On Oct 11, 2015
Question: "What does the Bible mean that we are not to judge others?"

Answer: Jesus’ command not to judge others could be the most widely quoted of His sayings, even though it is almost invariably quoted in complete disregard of its context. Here is Jesus’ statement: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1). Many people use this verse in an attempt to silence their critics, interpreting Jesus’ meaning as “You don’t have the right to tell me I’m wrong.” Taken in isolation, Jesus’ command “Do not judge” does indeed seem to preclude all negative assessments. However, there is much more to the passage than those three words.

The Bible’s command that we not judge others does not mean we cannot show discernment. Immediately after Jesus says, “Do not judge,” He says, “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs” (Matthew 7:6). A little later in the same sermon, He says, “Watch out for false prophets. . . . By their fruit you will recognize them” (verses 15–16). How are we to discern who are the “dogs” and “pigs” and “false prophets” unless we have the ability to make a judgment call on doctrines and deeds? Jesus is giving us permission to tell right from wrong.

Also, the Bible’s command that we not judge others does not mean all actions are equally moral or that truth is relative. The Bible clearly teaches that truth is objective, eternal, and inseparable from God’s character. Anything that contradicts the truth is a lie—but, of course, to call something a “lie” is to pass judgment. To call adultery or murder a sin is likewise to pass judgment—but it’s also to agree with God. When Jesus said not to judge others, He did not mean that no one can identify sin for what it is, based on God’s definition of sin.

And the Bible’s command that we not judge others does not mean there should be no mechanism for dealing with sin. The Bible has a whole book entitled Judges. The judges in the Old Testament were raised up by God Himself (Judges 2:18). The modern judicial system, including its judges, is a necessary part of society. In saying, “Do not judge,” Jesus was not saying, “Anything goes.”

Elsewhere, Jesus gives a direct command to judge: “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly” (John 7:24). Here we have a clue as to the right type of judgment versus the wrong type. Taking this verse and some others, we can put together a description of the sinful type of judgment:

Superficial judgment is wrong. Passing judgment on someone based solely on appearances is sinful (John 7:24). It is foolish to jump to conclusions before investigating the facts (Proverbs 18:13). Simon the Pharisee passed judgment on a woman based on her appearance and reputation, but he could not see that the woman had been forgiven; Simon thus drew Jesus’ rebuke for his unrighteous judgment (Luke 7:36–50).

Hypocritical judgment is wrong. Jesus’ command not to judge others in Matthew 7:1 is preceded by comparisons to hypocrites (Matthew 6:2, 5, 16) and followed by a warning against hypocrisy (Matthew 7:3–5). When we point out the sin of others while we ourselves commit the same sin, we condemn ourselves (Romans 2:1).

Harsh, unforgiving judgment is wrong. We are “always to be gentle toward everyone” (Titus 3:2). It is the merciful who will be shown mercy (Matthew 5:7), and, as Jesus warned, “In the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:2).

Self-righteous judgment is wrong. We are called to humility, and “God opposes the proud” (James 4:6). The Pharisee in Jesus’ parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector was confident in his own righteousness and from that proud position judged the publican; however, God sees the heart and refused to forgive the Pharisee’s sin (Luke 18:9–14).

Untrue judgment is wrong. The Bible clearly forbids bearing false witness (Proverbs 19:5). “Slander no one” (Titus 3:2).

Christians are often accused of “judging” or intolerance when they speak out against sin. But opposing sin is not wrong. Holding aloft the standard of righteousness naturally defines unrighteousness and draws the slings and arrows of those who choose sin over godliness. John the Baptist incurred the ire of Herodias when he spoke out against her adultery with Herod (Mark 6:18–19). She eventually silenced John, but she could not silence the truth (Isaiah 40:Eight)

Believers are warned against judging others unfairly or unrighteously, but Jesus commends “right judgment” (John 7:24, ESV). We are to be discerning (Colossians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). We are to preach the whole counsel of God, including the Bible’s teaching on sin (Acts 20:27; 2 Timothy 4:2). We are to gently confront erring brothers or sisters in Christ (Galatians 6:1). We are to practice church discipline (Matthew 18:15–17). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

John the Baptist incurred the ire of Herodias when he spoke out against her adultery with Herod (Mark 6:18–19). She eventually silenced John, but she could not silence the truth (Isaiah 40:cool.

We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15)

Why are you shouting? Stop breaking NL rule 11 on font size.
You've been reported.
20pt is not so big...after all I didn't use 100pt. You can as well tell them to remove the font size from the text editor so that my hand won't find it. Besides, truth is always bitter the spirit of many will find it disturbing and hard to digest irrespective of the font size I use.

First and foremost nobody is perfect and I never claimed to be perfect, yes my emotions can get a better part of me sometimes but that doesn't stop me from seeking perfection and mending my ways were possible...I love my country and i am very passionate about everything happening to my fatherland so sometimes I get too passionate, it will be great if you face your own shortcomings and stop looking for other people's own.

Now to answer your questions.

(a)..who tempted Peter ?

Answer: an Evil Spirit can possess the body of man and tempt him from within...have you heard of the battlefield of the mind?

(b).. if Peter's words had no basis with God's will...Why did they come to pass instantly?

Answer: A ministering spirit can also perform signs and wonders at a particular time to deceive even the saints to believe it is from God.

Another way you can look at is If God puts a power is in your tongue and out of anger you lay a curse on someone then you later realised you have gone too far with your actions. Would you now blame God or blame it on your lack of anger management?

(c).... did Peter's actions in anyway diminish God's purpose in is spiritual life?

Answer: No it doesnt, it only confirms God's purpose in Peters Spiritual life. The more the temptation the more the reason to be closer to God. Havent you heard of testing the spirit to know if it is from God?

(d)....Is there any part of the bible where péter was Admonished for that pronouncement of death upon Ananai's and saphira?

Answers: Peter is not the only man of God in the bible that erred at one time or the other so why must his case be an exception and be admonished. Only Jesus Christ is the perfect being. Again I repeat, don't be lead by the actions and characters of the men of God, instead be lead by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.

I hope I have answered your questions, stay blessed.

Shalom.

grin Sorry but you are under informed, yahoo news, BBC news and international media confirmed she was in process of purchasing real estate from Hyde Park UK , check my previous posts for the links, as I'm on phone not pc

Then the next time you play religious card with me it will blow up in your face

Trust me I don't joke around
Since you cant use your brain to THINK let me help you, do you think Deizani is so dumb to spend a whopping 15 billion dollars to buy Hyde Park in the UK without authorities asking questions? What exactly is the value of the estate? Is she buying just a house or the entire estate? Are there no occupants/owners currently living in the estate?... This woman has spent most of her life in UK so she knows how things are done there.

Not all what the media report is true both local and foreign media, but you believe everything. See how your life is built around the media, what a pity. You are no different from a robot control by the media. They tell you what to believe and what not to believe and you fail to use your God given senses to analyze everything before jumping to conclusions.

If God decides to judge us according to our sins just as we judge others then nobody will be alive today...sin is sin, no big sin or small sin...a murderer is no different from a liar, we live by Gods grace. Would you swear you have not committed any sin all your life? Just as i respect the death of a saint I will accord same respect to the death of a murderer. Always respect the dead irrespective of who dies...you do not have the right to condem others, only God can condem and judge, if you do that then you have claimed to be equal to God which is a rebellion against him. This is exactly what Satan did before he was cast down from heaven.

I hope all I have said is not too deep for shallow thinking people, common sense is indeed not common. I hope you have learnt something today...put it into good use and teach others. Shalom.

The curse returns to your father. Animal.

So why do we have judges if it is a crime to judge?
Why do we study laws in the schools if we are not required to judge?

I am not a Religious sheep like you.
If you commit a crime, we judge you and punish you accordingly.
That's the only thing that develop a nation.
No matter the amount of Churches you have in your Zoo, you are not going anywhere without proper justice system.

Wahllai..

You are a child.

How were peter's words imperfect when he was already filled with the holy spirit such that his sentencing of Ananai's and Sapphira took immediate effect?!!

Or didn't you notice afterward that people feared God and stole less tithes/offerings more than before just because of that singular action?

Didn't Peter's Action edify the gospel in te larger sense of the word?

Mehn.. I cant bother myself with you again... for real.

Be blessed bro.

Shalom!

Shalom

Hypocrite.

You shout all over the place for the looters to be hanged but when nature hangs them for you, you turn to emotional snail to tell me I should respect the dead.

Like I said earlier, I have no respect for the rogues that had the opportunity to improve the lives of their people but rather chose to steal the money and allow thousands of people to suffer and die through diseases, accidents, poverty and more.

And try to reduce your stupidityy by not using bold letters here.
You don't have to shout for you to be heard.
Mr Common sense.
You have just made a public declaration that you are equal to God, that you have the right to condem and judge others. The only way you will escape God's wrath for rebelling against him is if you have never committed any sin since childhood. This will not come to pass unless if God is not the master and ruler of the universe.

I ask a very simple question and instead you reply with a very long-winding hypocritical balderdash..

I bet you didn't see in the bible Where Ananias and Saphirra were struck to death by the Apostle Peter (Jesus own closest Disciple..o) for lying and Corruption!

Dey dia dey form sanctimonious shaolin monk...

Nonsense!
Even in Jesus's Deciples there is a betrayer, his Deciples are not perfect, Jesus prevented a crowd from stoning a prostitute to death and ask let he that hasn't committed any sin cast the first stone. So would you follow Jesus words or follow Apostle Peter words knowing he is imperfect? Don't quote the bible to suit your selfish interest by doing that you are making a mockery of God's Precious word.
