What is Rooting ? Rooting is the process whereby you grant yourself user access on your device i.e you hack or lets say change the Rom on your device so that you control it the way you want

Advantages: you will be able to install any android application you like, you will be able to move your apps to SD, you will be able to remove the preloaded apps on your device, you will have a better CPU perfomance speed etc..

Disadvantages: you will break the warranty on your device, you might end up bricking your device if not careful, you will not be able to get your device OTA update etc...
