I work with a private organisation where I earn 20k as my monthly stipend
For the past one four month now we have not been paid salary and we dare not ask my boss because she is a disciplined woman who doesn't tolerate nonsense..

Things are really getting hard and I couldn't even afford transport fee to work this morning as I have to trek down to work this morning, and on getting to work I decided to summon courage to ask this woman about my salary, She told me to go back to my duty .
but to my greatest surprise it was sack letter that follows.
I tried talking to her and telling her the situation of things but she wouldn't listen and all what she said is that I have been fired.


I was told to come back ending of November to get my salary..

I don't really know what to do right now, it looks like cheating to me .
This is my sweat, something I have work for ...

Just carry the sack letter with evidence not paid and sued the evil woman. When she finishes paying double and also compensation for breach of employee section 12 of labour's act agreement. She'll learn. You think even Facebook or Google will owe workers and sack them ? They'll sued their ass out

Maybe the landlady got her experience from travelling to other countries. Monthly is the best for those who are working class awaiting their pay date. Every month they'll make payment by month end.

For business guys or students who are hustling for their life, yearly is ok.
Over here If i exchange it to naira, my monthly rentals is 45k (yearly 540k just 1room with sitting room) and it's the cheapest I manage to find, with 24/7 electricity & water. Distance not far from the hospital I'm attached.

It's not easy to live in a flat or 2bed room flat abroad because you'll pay like 150-300k every month. Reason politicians steal money to settle their children expenses abroad. I'm telling you the truth.
But guys like us, we work hard to get the dollars without depending on home. No matter how small it's, get the dollars you'll pay your rentals. But waiting for home to send you money and after converting to dollars you'll lose big time.

Nigeria is blessed. I don't like the monthly payment here. I remember back in Nigeria that 540k will pay my rentals in Abuja a whole year self contained. That's the idea when you make money abroad return home and open mansions, estate and rent it out and travel back. Make cool money.
In Nigeria some people pay 45k a whole year in some states. That's cool.

1. Only corporate account (company account) can send such money by transfer. Maximum you can send as individual is 500k per transaction. Sending 15M at once is enough to fool those who never do transaction above 1M before. Even to pay school fees abroad CBN has to debit it and if you must transfer up to 10M to the account for debit, you must visit the bank.
2. Receiving a cheque instead would've been more eye catching rather than posting a fake transfer.

In my case and from experience I've employed graduate and non graduate. Though it's a new company but I employ base on skills not qualifications. I'm shock especially when I see graduates complaining no job. The same graduates are ones who went for Nysc with monthly stipend of 30k from the gov and nothing less than 20k from their place of primary assignment (total 50k per month).

Except for those who just like partying and impressing people, or some wanting to get married after Nysc. If you serve 20k for the 12month, you'll have #240,000. It may not be a big money, but after you're done with your service you'll understand the importance.
#240k can start a business even if it's accessories you import from China because people will always have phone issues on daily basis. Start small, bring in one fine girl and see how customers will enter. If accessories store is not your type, go into market and sell goods, start with 2bags of rice and 2bags of beans. After selling it in 1week that money is double and you'll have more interest to buy more bags. Mine you, once your business is viable and you travel to the north, they can loan you bags of goods and you return after sales (Igbo man into this won't like what I'm sharing).

Next, if this is still not your type, enter into tech learn php, JavaScript, python, learn web3 language (I won't mention much here). It's my area. Give it 6month and master it. Go to Alison.com and get a diploma (digital certificate) in any of those courses. Search for Tech jobs in USA, Canada or any country and apply, there is thousands of software development jobs to apply. Once they see you've learn and master one language in web3. Guy your money is in million naira a month. Nothing good comes easy, I take example in medicine, as a medic I've learnt to be patience while in medical school, so I applied it into my other activities and it works. Doctors would've been the richest guys in the world if they applied what they learn in medical school into reality other than just relaxing and depending only in hospital jobs. But none is in top billionaires. It's Tech from 1-50.

This is when I block her and told her to go tell her colleague to find her a number. I've read news of so many Nigerian scandal and sometimes I became shame in public when they ask if I'm a Nigerian.

That promoting & stealing mentality should be discouraged. If our politicians were not stealing, people won't be suffering. Nigerians will always be Nigerians. At first I never support their defamatory messages using soko loan as a case, but I realized that if they don't Nigerians won't pay them.
Is it a syndrome that everyone are criminals in Nigeria that any small opportunity they want to steal? When you downloaded the app, you had a need and they approve your loan it was not illegal. Now to payback you begin seeing them as illegal?

I know some fraudsters had hijacked the loan shark system. But I still value the likes of Branch international. The best loan app in Nigeria, Kenya and India. They keep expanding. Branch will not harrased you, but will wait because you'll have a need again and once you've make your payment whether it was just 5k, 10k or 100k they'll never give you loan again and it will happen when you trusted and needed them most. Branch will give you 30days. So even if you're into business or salary employee you'll have no excuse.

Personally I have a loan app but not in Nigeria because of what I learned. Most of the customers who defaulted were mostly Yorubas, Hausas, Akwa ibom, Calabar and few others from kogi and Benue state. They'll never pay. Those from the East will borrow for business and once you call them they'll tell you oga by nextweek I'll clear my business was slow...and I never had issues with them. But those Hausas and Yorubas? They won't pay, and they'll start using curse language on you if you don't understand. Do you think Carbon and Fairmoney are not doing their best to recover loans? They do but many still won't pay.

From my experience, I change from normal lending to everyone and strictly to employees or verified businesses. I don't have strength to start insulting people to payback. I'm a Nigerian and I know what some of us are capable. Only the clothes hide some people.
Anyone seeing this should pay off even if they insulated you, or best negotiate with them. Some can even drag you online which is more disgraceful than normal text messages. Also whether you like it or not, you'll still pay because they'll find a way to recover even by sending your name to creditbureaus. Google about creditbureaus in Nigeria or request your loan reports.

Try and borrow from another platform they'll tell you that you have unclear loan. It might take years but the records are there. They sent your details to creditbureaus. It affects many people I know including those working in government. This is when they rush to clear on accessing their credit report. The process of clearing is also another task. Don't forget they don't stop the interest. You'll have to negotiate with them if they agreed, you'll write a letter (which will be approved by the loan company you're owing) and also pay money to be cleared, and they'll still frustrate you because they know you need it now.

In 2019/2020 payment to creditbureaus the application fee was #5000, now they might increase it. After submitting the letter and receipt of payment it might take 2-3Month before you receive confirmation your loan with so so has been cleared and you can then take the letter to bank or organisation. That's what they're doing. It's so frustrating and people don't know.

No wonder Napoli is telling PSG even with $300 Million payment they'll not consider... Lols

You used to see where? Even in the UK/US. Ask an employee to send you his/her payslip. If the salary is £2000 tax is about 900-1200. You end up getting £800. Most people driving cars in UK/US are doing so from their payslip. Don't be carried away by influencers. If it was so, most Nigerian politicians will migrate and live there. Having £2,000 cash you're a big boy in UK let alone £10,000? But like you say, people make it daily not from salary jobs but tech, business and anything you've developed and people are using it.

For the benefit of others.

If you're in UK, you can't make such amount of money. In one way or the other the government will tax you and you'll end up rotating in £10,000 which is 10 million (naira equivalent). It's not easy to even make £5,000 and you can't hold in cash amount up to £2,000 without police questioning you.

1. You're a software engineer. I'm a medic and also a software developer (not engineer). When I travel out it took me 2yrs: 4month to settle down here (you know what I mean). But when the money started coming, it comes from what I develop not jobs. You can't make 100M from jobs, it has to be you're creating something and people are using your service like Microsoft, Jumia, Facebook, Dangote cement etc..and you're paying salary to others then such money is a change in 1yr.

2. As a developer, you must have your own product in apple store or android Google playstore with thousands to million downloads. I won't explain more here because secret of wealth is not to be disclosed except otherwise. It's a law.
But note that what I make in 8month after I settle down if convert to naira is/close to 8M. Meaning with steady reinvestment I can get up to 20M in a year. If you do your calculations it will take me 3-4yrs to make 100M from my legit business.

3. What are you doing to target 100M? Import/Export? This question should be digested first not for dummies. Who are your target audience? What's the job salary? Remember even in the USA only doctors (anaesthesia, surgeons) who had spend many years can make this in a year from their private practice or top hospital in the USA. Software developers don't stand a chance in a year. But from my experience. People like Olugbenga (owner of flutterwave - fintech), Laurin Hainy (founder Fairmoney loan app) can make those amount in a year without stress and they're paying good salaries. Remember I'm talking from experience. I don't know your job, but mine I have a app in Apple store and Google playstore with 1M downloads. I'm targeting 5M in 2years time and I make money from this app daily (30-45k a day). You can do your calculations in a month. From here I pay my workers, renew my license in this country, also settle my investors. There's no company without investors. That's a little of mine. Such money (100M) can't come from jobs. It must be from something you created as a developer but not jobs.
