Bro I went though some of the schools and truly there scholarships.Some are even up to 70% but the problems is most of the schools want a graduate who has minimum of 3yrs experience for masters.Is there a way one can go about that? thx

Yeah, I have been thinking about that too. However, people can still apply. The tuition is there, but people can still apply for scholarship. In my end, the tuition is 8K Euro Per session but every admitted student automatically gets 50% Scholarship. Moreover, you can still get 100% scholarship base on academic merit. I therefore still feel that people can still apply. Just my 2cents

I think you should search study info- https://studyinfo.fi/wp2/en/ extensively maybe you can still find some courses with low tuition or scholarship. However, the financial situation in Nigeria is making things quite difficult for those who even have the admission to get Resident permit. so you have to consider alot of things now.

It was a negative decision.

It took them seven weeks (50days) to decide that, they did not ask for any supplements at all.

I appreciate everybody who have stood by me one way or d oda during the entire period.

Sorry about that Bro...I will advice you study the process, work on what went wrong and reapply again. In the end, you will be glad you made the sacrifices. I am telling you, coming now is really worth the effort.

I was granted on the 10th this month n I withdrew some money on Monday n they sent that message.
So pls those granted RP should not try to temper with their bank account till your rp lands for your hand ooo. am hoping to write something to clear myself.

I have been meaning to drop a line on this issue.
Folks Pls wait until you get your RP in ur hand before doing anything to the money in your account o. The Police officer that came to give talk during our orientation mentioned that they are aware of people putting money in their account for RP purpose alone and returning after the RP has been granted. Even if possible, make sure you get here before returning the money.

I had a experience at the Helsinki Airport, the officer attending to me suddenly flagged me and detained me for about 15minutes when he noticed that this was my first time in Finland. I was asked to fill a form detailing all the questions asked during interview and more. My saving grace was God, my train ticket to my base (which I had booked before leaving Naija), My address in my base, they even asked me how much i had on me and asked me for evidence to back my claims.

The financial situation in Nigeria has made them to be more focused Nigerians

so pls guys be very careful

I went for interview on July 12, and someone who went there on the 11th is been asked to probably supplement hs funds, i had around 1.7m too. Or maybe there was a reason for dt, cus a friend dt went on 4th july had 1.55m and was not asked to supplement any funds .

the mail should be a reminder/enquiry.
However,
The story has even changed now, my guy that received a mail from migri today was asked to supplement his 1.6 with 800kplus.

Hi everyone, pls a quick one. I have two sponsors, my mom and my sis. My mom will be providing the total funds for my Rp from her fixed deposit acct, is it wise for me to transfer the funds first to my sis and she sends it to me afterwards. My reason is because my mom's fixed acct doesn't have a constant flow of cash while my sis has that.

Why don't you just transfer the money from your mum's account and provide the details of the fix deposit. Then explain in ur SOP that your sister is also your sponsor while providing the details of her financial capability.

I think the bolded gives an answer to the question. What we need to do is just work with latest official exchange rate. If by the time Migri is processing d docs and the diff btw the exchange rate for that day and conversion rate you used when the money was provided into ur account ain't too much, they won't consider it a big deal. However, if d diff is much, they'll likely inform you that the funds in ur account ain't enuf, prolly ur sponsor shud add more.

Let's just hope that the exchange rate on the day one's application is processed is much lesser than the rate used wen the funds was paid into one's account.

My take on the issue that you guys should try and raise the amount in ur account to around 1.8m upwards towards 2m plus. However, let ur sponsor's account be well loaded such that they will know that even if the exchange rate goes up, the sponsor will still be able to take care of it.

For instance if ur sponsor still has a balance of 5m after transferring to you and the account is very active, they have the choice but to grant the RP.

For guys who are yet to go for their interview, the application fee has been increased to 94k oo for electronic app and 104k for paper app.
I'm still confused about which exchange rate they'll use to calculate the €6,720.
I also don't know if these new RP app fee applies to guys that are yet to be interviewed but have paid their RP fee earlier before the change.
I intend contacting the embassy to confirm but I'll need ur contributions pls. My interview date na still Aug 30

after uaf bleeping my admission chances with there [b]we suspect the transcript might have been opened ish[/b]on the two occasions my transcript was sent. i kept receiving rejection letter from the universities i applied to, not until i was surprised with an admission letter which i wasn't expecting from the last school.

was suppose to visit the embassy on 22/7/2016 survived a road crash with just minor injuries hence couldn't make it for the interview. i had to reschedule for on 23/07/2016 at the embassy without informing them

my application moved to in progress on 15/07/2016

i got a positive decision on my application on 18/07/2016

my rp + decision reached abuja on 25/07/2016

my birthday was on 31/07/2016 my last birthday for naija. yekpa

my rp card + decision got to me today 01/08/2016

There is no harm in mailing them. Although your status changed to quickly. It normally take about 28days before your status changed. Your good news is on the way!!!

Here is my timeline:
8th June, 2016 –I submitted the application online
10th June, 2016-I sent a mail request for 22nd June as interview date but was invited against 17th
6/17/2016 –I visited the embassy.
7/14/2016-The status changed to processing.
7/19/2016 –I received an email about the decision and checked on the dashboard.
7/25/2016-Received email that card has arrived Nigeria and sent my passport to the Finnish embassy Abuja.
7/29/2016-Got the card.

Pls note: I did not submit Ole_opi form. I just printed the online summary.
I was also not asked for supplement.
