sooperrescue:Fuel Guzzler V6 3.0 Maybe Turbo-Charged. That's 1 full tank of my corolla with amber light showing after. After i checked, my fuel consumption is 6.5 litres per 100km Highway and 9 to 10 litres per 100km city driving. Yours with values up there is 13.7litres per 100km |
This happened to me once @ Total Filling station @Garrison in PH. I went to buy fuel for my dad to travel for xmas because of the long queues. Pajero Tank is about 80ltrs, while i had quarter left. The Total station meter read 90ltrs when i filled up. Since then i have i avoided all Total Fuel station i mostly buy @ AP Shell RA aba road. One time, i decided to buy N4k fuel to fill up corolla @ Total station 1st artillery after doing wheel balancing i was travelling to Benin on a sunday. Yet @ half tank which i already had the fuel didn't reach the full tank mark very well. I have since stopped buy fuel from ALL Total Stations. However, my corolla tank is 50 litres capacity. When i travel from PH to Benin through warri, I cover 353km to my destination. With or without AC i noticed that whats left most times is half tank or slightly below half. I usually buy extra 3k fuel before coming back to PH. Is this consumption Okay? I don't have any check engine light or warning light showing up. Average Speed is 130km to 150km during each trip. |

This Technology is manufactured by Ford. Features: 1. Prevents Fuel Theft: Ford owners can feel a little more secure knowing their vehicles have fuel system innovations such as the Easy Fuel® (capless fuel filler) feature. The Ford Easy Fuel feature is designed to easily let fuel in and make it difficult to get fuel out. 2. Eliminate Screw Cap: Ford’s capless full filler deters gas theft two different ways. With Easy Fuel, a spring-loaded flapper door is held closed by latches that can only be released by a standard-size fuel nozzle. This eliminates the need for a fuel tank screw cap. When the proper nozzle is inserted into the filler neck of the system, the latches release, and the nozzle pushes the spring-loaded flapper door to the open position. When the nozzle is removed, the flapper door automatically is forced closed by the spring. 3. Stops Fuel Vapor From Escaping: The main purpose of the system is to prevent vapors from escaping during the fueling process. Another deterrent in Ford vehicles is an inlet check valve that is part of the on-board refueling vapor recovery system. While the valve is primarily designed to prevent vapors from escaping during the fueling process, it also can thwart siphoning efforts because it closes automatically after the fueling process. It does so by detecting the pressure of liquid fuel as it passes. Also lincoln has this feature... |

mayor2013:Well I said enough grease. Which means adequate grease. I believe the cup only contain its quantity and can't over flow because it's boots is clipped. However using poor quality boots over time in less that 4months with highway travel will weaken boot, especially the part close to the edge of the cup. It cracks, then breaks and you loose grease. |
Op get a good mechanic to check the cups from the gear box if it has groove and the condition of inner shaft bearings. You may have to change the cup or inner bearing or both. Ensure that the mechanic loads it with enough grease. If the inner shaft boots is broken get an original one or toks boots. The cheap ones easily breaks and you loose lubrication from there. Good luck. |

Imagine Yesterday night while I was doing some DIY maintenance with the assistance of my junior Bro after buy some part @ ikokwu 2days ago. Came back from to see how far. We were arguing where the drain tap of my gear oil is because I have been wanting to change it for long time. He couldn't find on a 1zzfe engine MT. So i went under the hood look for it myself only to that it was covered by debris dust and sand. I cleaned it called him to see it. We changed the oil and just about when we decided to put back the cover that protects the bottom plate and gear area. My bro looked under to find something moving and gehngehn see lala pikin ewo thank God he had a flashlight. It was already getting dark. We played with before it few minutes then crushed it. This isn't my story but I'm so pained right now i have to share it. Truly to find a good wife is not easy oh... What will make a man happy the rest of his life is not the money he has made, its his wife. This incident happened on Monday night. My colleague in the office a lady came to work this morning only to go the canteen to cry till this moment. I asked what happened, was she robbed? I was told her little niece(1) and nephew(2) was burnt to death yesterday. Her elder brother has been married for almost 6 years now. God has blessed them with 2 Boys and a Girl. Lately he has been having issues with his wife which involves her disrespecting her mother in-law, accusing family members, causing trouble left right centre. She also had squandered the shop her husband had setup for her twice, also took a huge undisclosed amount which the husband kept @ home he was using for house building project in the village. They are all from Umuahia. So with all these trouble here and there the husband decided to give her a break and sent her back home that he lacks home training. For a few months there was peace and the wife was calling to reconcile and pleas here and there with family members. Mean while, the kids where now staying with their grandma (the husbands mother). After so much plea, the husband decided to give her second chance. According my colleague his sister said he is a quite type. She requested she wanted to have the kids for the weekend last week he agree but his mother refused to give her grandchildren to the son's wife. Eventually on Sunday 17/12/2017 the wife came around and carried her kids to stay with her. This morning my colleague was given the news that the kids are now dead burnt. How....? The wife upon bring the kids to her fathers house kept all three of them in a room and lit a candle @ nightfall. While she left them in that room and went to sleep in another room separate from that one with another kid not of her husbands. Our thoughts in the office was: 1. A woman whom has missed her children for over 4 months didn't miss them enough to sleep with them? 2. A mother normally comes to check her children @ night to see if they are ok. 3. How come its only that room that got burnt. 4. Why did she not sleep in same room with them along with a child she is taking care of in her dads house which she took to another room. 5. I think she wanted to payback the husband with this evil. 6. Didn't anyone hear screams in the night. 7. Was the door locked from the outside because of the kids is about 4yrs old and can open a door. 8. This lady should be arrested and prosecuted. |

1. Lowest-Rated Subcompact Car: Mitsubishi Mirage https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Mitsubishi_Galant-02-17.jpg Reliability: Average Fuel economy: 37 mpg Price range: $12,995-$16,995 An affordable car that delivers a thrifty 37 mpg overall might make the Mirage seem like a screaming deal. But enhancements for 2017 don’t mask the weak, vibrating three-cylinder engine that delivers sluggish acceleration or the clumsy roly-poly handling. Though the cabin is relatively roomy, it feels drab, cheap, and insubstantial. In the end, there is no compelling reason to buy a Mirage and, for the money, there are many much better used cars for the same price. 2. Lowest-Rated Compact Electric/Hybrid: Mitsubishi i-MiEV https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Mitsubishi_i-02-17.jpg Reliability: Average Fuel economy: 111 MPGe Price: $22,995 The i-MiEV is one of the cheapest all-electric cars available, but you'd be better off buying any other EV than this one. It’s an underdeveloped car that is slow, clumsy, and stiff riding, with a plebeian cabin. It takes 6 to 7 hours to charge on a 240-volt, Level 2 charger, or a lengthy 21 hours on a standard 110-volt charger. Its range is EPA-rated at 62 miles, although we generally got around 59 miles. In comparison, the five-seat Nissan Leaf, with its roomier interior, more comfortable ride, and longer driving range, feels like a real car and is a far better choice. 3. Lowest-Rated Compact Car: Fiat 500L https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Fiat-02-17.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 27 mpg Price range: $19,495-$24,795 This quasi-wagon responds eagerly in turns, handles securely at its limit, and has a roomy cabin. But it earned a dismal road-test score due to a stiff ride, flat seats, and an odd driving position. Based on our extensive owner satisfaction survey, a high percentage of owners wish they hadn’t bought this hatchback. The 500L also has one of the worst reliability scores among all new cars in our recent survey. If that still isn’t enough to dissuade you, it scored a Poor in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety small-overlap frontal test. 4. Lowest-Rated Midsized Sedan: Chrysler 200 https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Chrysler-02-17.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 25-30 mpg Price range: $21,995-$31,785 This category is overflowing with competent, and even excellent, alternatives to the 200. It drives like it's from a previous era. Handling is clumsy, the ride is unsettled, and the four-cylinder engine is underwhelming. The transmission is uncooperative and has proven to be a reliability albatross. The tight rear seat feels claustrophobic and access is compromised. In Consumer Reports' ratings, the 200 has the dubious distinction of carrying the lowest Overall Score and lowest road-test score in the class, as well as the lowest predicted reliability rating. 5. Lowest-Rated Compact Pickup: Toyota Tacoma https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Toyota_Tacoma-02-17.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 19 mpg Price range: $24,825-$37,820 The Tacoma is as rough and tumble as it has always been, complete with impressive off-road prowess. But there is no escaping that this is a primitive truck. Despite the recent redesign, the ride remains stiff, handling is ponderous, the cabin is loud, and the driving position is still awkward. The modern connectivity features are a welcome upgrade. Safety features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available. Ultimately these electronic niceties do not overcome this truck’s shortcomings. And counter to its past reputation, first-year reliability of the redesigned Tacoma has been disappointing. 6. Lowest-Rated Midsized SUV: Dodge Journey https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Dodge-Jouney-02-17.jpg Reliability: Worse than average Fuel economy: 16 mpg Price range: $20,995-$33,695 On paper, this midsized SUV may sound compelling, but in our tests we found that the Journey has a confining interior and lacks agility, and the V6 delivers the worst fuel economy in its class. Plus, it suffers from below-average reliability and poor performance in IIHS small-overlap frontal crash tests. Even though it rides well and has a relatively quiet cabin, families may be deterred by the snug third-row seat. The Journey is late in its model run, with discounts commonplace. But don’t be tempted. This low-rated model is a poor value anywhere—even at the airport rental lot. 7. Lowest-Rated Entry-Level Luxury Car: Mercedes-Benz CLA https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Cars/February/CR-Cars-Inline-Lowest-rated-Mercedes-02-17.jpg Reliability: Worse than average Fuel economy: 28 mpg Price range: $31,500-$48,500 The CLA proves that pedigree does not ensure a refined car. At first the engine feels unresponsive, then the power comes on abruptly. Though the car is agile, the ride is punishingly stiff and the CLA is loud inside. Cabin access is difficult, and the well-appointed interior is cramped. The heavily promoted base price is something of a tease; buyers need to spend a lot on options to get the luxury features expected on a premium model. 8. Lowest-Rated Luxury Midsized Sedan: Maserati Ghibli https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Magazine-Articles/April/Google-Auto-Profile-images-2017/PRF-818.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 19 mpg Price range: $70,600-$78,550 The Ghibli turns heads and is fun to drive. Handling is sporty and agile, the brakes are strong, and the engine emits a thrilling bark. But the fuel economy from the Ferrari-developed V6 turbo is dismal, the stiff ride can grow fatiguing, and the rear seat is cramped. Climbing into or out of this low-slung sports sedan can be a challenge. Chrysler’s Uconnect touch screen is a plus, but it’s hard not to notice some cheap-looking switches, sourced from other, more mainstream models from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. 9. Lowest-Rated Luxury Compact SUV: Land Rover Discovery Sport https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Magazine-Articles/April/Google-Auto-Profile-images-2017/PRF-837.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 21 mpg Price range: $37,455-$45,995 One would expect a more regal entry into this hot market segment from Land Rover. Instead, the Discovery Sport struggles in comparisons against even mass-market small SUVs. Power delivery from the turbo four-cylinder is spiky, with either too little or too much acceleration, and the transmission is neither smooth nor responsive. Though capable off-road, on the road the ride is stiff-legged and handling is far from sporty. The austere cabin is rather plain for a model from a boutique luxury brand. The infotainment system is slow to respond. Based on Land Rover’s history, reliability is a concern for this pricey, underachieving SUV. 10. Lowest-Rated Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade https://article.images.consumerreports.org/prod/content/dam/CRO%20Images%202017/Magazine-Articles/April/Google-Auto-Profile-images-2017/PRF-455.jpg Reliability: Much worse than average Fuel economy: 16 mpg Price range: $73,395-$97,795 The Escalade lacks the character of a true luxury SUV; it rides too stiffly and doesn't stop or handle with the grace of its peers. Despite casting a massive shadow, the Cadillac is not even that comfortable inside. The second-row seats are too low, and the third row is cramped. The Cue infotainment system is confounding. Reliability ranks worst in class. We consider a well-trimmed Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Yukon XL to be a smarter buy. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2017/03/top-10-worst-cars-of-2017-consumer-reports.html |
