Its really a menace down there. These touts with uniform officers always terrorising individuals. I was @ shopping plaza few weeks back to buy some stuffs, the filling station where i do park didn't allow me to park. Though i do tip their attendants when leaving this time the manager refused. So i decided to find a space along the road to park. After circling twice each spot i found i was told wasn't for these thugs not remove my plate number. Eventually i found a spot in-front of those that sell wine. Normally if have to stay over 2hrs I'll just to the cathedral and park save myself the trouble and walk into the market. To avoid trouble ensure u find a good place that doesn't obstruct traffic (In-front of an eatery, bank, office outlet etc.) I was jobbed once in D-line area which cost me 20k last year. God know it really hurt me when i gave that idiot free money that their LGA in bank road. Na bole N500 cause me 20k oooh SMH. Imagine that they will even tell u that to pump ur deflated tyre is 500 each. I wan mad. Learnt my lesson. |

A continuously variable transmission (CVT), also known as a single-speed transmission, stepless transmission, pulley transmission, or, in case of motorcycles, a twist-and-go, is an automatic transmission that can change seamlessly through a continuous range of effective gear ratios. This contrasts with other mechanical transmissions that offer a fixed number of gear ratios. The flexibility of a CVT with suitable control may allow the input shaft to maintain a constant angular velocity even as the output speed varies. A belt-driven design offers approximately 88% efficiency, which, while lower than that of a manual transmission, can be offset by lower production cost and by enabling the engine to run at its most efficient speed for a range of output speeds. When power is more important than economy, the ratio of the CVT can be changed to allow the engine to turn at the RPM at which it produces greatest power. This is typically higher than the RPM that achieves peak efficiency. In low-mass low-torque applications (such as motor scooters) a belt-driven CVT also offers ease of use and mechanical simplicity. A CVT does not strictly require the presence of a clutch. Nevertheless, in some vehicles (e.g. motorcycles), a centrifugal clutch is added to facilitate a "neutral" stance, which is useful when idling or manually reversing into a parking space. My Opinion About The CVT. Personally though I don't dislike the technology. I think CVTs make the car feel like you're driving a golf cart. CVT seems to work best with low stress applications, such as hybrids, where part of the drive load is taken by the electric drive. They may not be super durable and they make driving a bit more dull. The gears within the assembly are always in mesh . This unique arrangement of gears responsively, spontaneously, continuously provides the optimum gear ratio throughout acceleration, deceleration and all “points” in between. The major reason I do not like CVTs is when driving on highways, because they lack acceleration when you need it for overtaking other cars. The manufacturing cost of a CVT transmission is low. The transmission design is so uncomplicated that it can operate efficiently without a computer, sensors, or a hydraulic pump. Victor Paredes, a service adviser at Bay Ridge Nissan, New York, is familiar with the peculiarities of a CVT. “The cost of a CVT transmission flush is approximately 15 to 20 percent higher than that of a conventional automatic transmission flush. Also, despite lacking physical gears within the system, the intricate setup of pulleys and belts actually make the transmission have to work in a more synchronised way than a regular automatic transmission would.” Planet Subaru has this to say. Subaru developed a CVT called Lineartronic CVT Power. Engines do not develop constant power at all speeds; they have specific speeds where torque (pulling power) and horsepower (speed power) are at their highest levels. The CVT finds that exact spot and stays right there. Fuel economy. For example, for the 2014 Forester, Subaru introduced a CVT. With the same engine as the previous generation, the new Forester gets FIVE (!) more mile per gallon. The CVT finds the most fuel efficient point in the engine power band and keeps it there. The fuel economy is so impressive with a CVT that it beats the manual transmission! Less weight. Without that heavy gearset and all those extra parts, a CVT has less mass, which helps fuel economy, handling, and acceleration. Acceleration speed. A regular transmission can't continue to apply power while the transmission is shifting because it would damage it. The CVT is designed to send power to the wheels without any interruption. Smoother acceleration. A regular transmission can feel jerky, especially under full throttle. The CVT builds power in a smooth, linear manner, hence the trademark, "Lineartronic." Greater reliability. The CVT has fewer parts to break. Manual mode when you need it. If you're towing, or you just want the thrill of changing gears, Subaru gives you paddle shifters mounted right behind the steering wheel so you can choose from six preset "gears" (which are not really gears but just programmed set points along the continuum)

I love subaru for one thing. It's symmetrical awd system. No car can beat that. |

sooperrescue:Here is synthetic oil made by Forte Oil. Guys what's your take on this.
|
GAZZUZZ:WOW same here. I have this same generator my dad said he bought for less than N1000 . Last used in 2005 i think. Very noisy. The gen na die hard. It will even start and off now. Dunno whats really wrong with it. These chinese generators with different brand names no dey last even the diesel. Another peters gen made in UK diesel eng we still use in the village. They call it 1 and half. 70s and 80s engines rock. |
Machines built by humans will always fail. If it were an alert human eyes on the wheels this wouldn't happen. We shouldn't rely on machines 100% for our safety. We built them and every now and then they require upgrades to keep them in check. For me i like to feel in control. |
I need a mechanic to fix a hiace diesel engine. Engine does struggles to fire. Already diagnosed with a failed injector pump. A reliable diesel mechanic in Port-harcourt. |

The one I saw @ TransAmadi during the weekend still baffles me. Honda baby boy jumped pedestrian walk into, Skye Bank fence damaging two other cars. |
Nice experience. That's how one of our drivers in my office argued with me that ABS is very bad I should disconnect mine. Knowing how many times that tech has saved me.Never argue with an idiot they'll drag you down to their level and beat you through experience Arguing with a fool proves there are two. |

Na illiteracy the worry the man. Its very much possible to get pregnant 1 month after delivery. Expect he has not slept the wife since after birth. |
GAZZUZZ: ![]() Not Sure about. If UV dye was used, isn't it possible for he to have use the glasses and UV torch to check these.... |
GAZZUZZ:I'm very sure they don't have a sniffer. UV dye was used for the first test when it was disassembled. Then detergent was to observe when i complained after 3 months. |
Gazzuzz, a leak test is done and no leak was observed. After refill 3 months later refrigerant is low the system was checked again still no leak. Tech guy says there its an internal leak, that the refrigerant is drying up inside. Advised to change the Condenser and Compressor, says evaporator is OK. Condenser is already very aged anyway car is already 9yrs Old with ODO 137000 km on it. Corolla 07'. (Note AC system was taken out completely and tested outside the car 1st time). |
